9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very enjoyable evening meal, staff helpful and pleasant.
Cons: It is what it is, its not a grand hotel, narrow stairs, small room, for 1 night stay, its fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner sincerely keen on his hotel and restaurant. If you can find a free table for lunch or dinner, this is a success. Friendly staff.
6.3 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Beautiful location.
Cons: The room was very small and basic. The separate toilet was so small that you had to sit sideways to close the door. There were strong smells from the hotel restaurant in the room, which were not always pleasant. The price is way too inflated for what you get.
7.9 Good
Pros: Situated close to Bidart Plage, with ample free parking, this was a great overnight stop. The restaurant on site was excellent and the proprietor and his staff 100%
Cons: The room was very small; the separate toilet was just a broom cupboard.
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: The staff were rude and abrupt. I think you get what you pay for, this place is cheap and the owner does not treat you very well. If you don’t speak French, you will not feel welcome here.

This peaceful and charming 4-star hotel is close to the star attractions of the Basque coast, Biarritz and Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Parking was ok
Cons: A little dated although the room had been freshly decorated as it smelt of paint. There were no facilities in the room for tea/coffee, there was a breakfast room with a kettle and coffee machine but no milk. We would have liked some form of room service or the ability to have breakfast earlier in the room, even though it said it in the folder of information that you could have it earlier, we were told no. Definitely not value for money and we would not stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food and service in the restaurant were excellent, the rooms were well-appointed with a very comfortable bed. The sub-tropical garden is delightful to walk round or to look at from every window.

Pros: The hotel is in a great location in the centre of Bidart, which is a very charming small town in French basques country. Beaches are a short walk and there are plenty of restaurants in Bidart, a short walk away. Bidart has a local market on a Saturday morning. Whilst having a pre-dinner drink we watched local young men playing pelota. Our room was comfortable, service was good (my wife speaks French) and self service breakfast was good and plentiful. Pros: Friendly & accommodating staff; accommodation was large and user friendly; half hour drive to Spain & other villages & hamlets in the Pays Basque.
Cons:
7.2 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean and quiet and comfortable; generally the staff were lovely, particularly the proprietor's son, who was very friendly and went out of his way to help, even booking taxis etc.
Cons: The hotel itself was perfect, but the proprietor was quite gruff with us on the last two nights of our stay. He was not at all friendly, telling us only to make sure we had checked out by eleven the next morning, not even asking us if we had had a pleasant stay. His aggressive attitude gave a sour taste to an otherwise relaxed and agreeable stay.
7.6 Good
Pros: well situated

Pros: The location was excellent on a square in the centre of this pretty town. The hotel was very small but attached to a bar/restaurant where the atmosphere was good. The young staff were very friendly and helpful. Good beaches were 5 minutes walk away.
Cons: Although there is a car park adjacent to the hotel, when we arrived it was full, as were other car parks nearby. We had to put the car in a side street a good ten minutes (uphill) walk from the hotel. The bar was not accessible from the hotel rooms.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location. Beautiful vistas from room. Balcony was perfect
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good clean and well presented room. Staff allowed us access before normal check in so we could change from the walking clothes to more casual. Nice patio bar outside with plenty of space. Even though we arrived on Saturday as two weddings were taking place in square outside and staff were very busy they were still very helpful.
Cons: The hotel prices reflect the proximity to Biarritz and the very pretty centre of the village. As a result it’s a little expensive but I guess this is a reflection of its location.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great position, beautiful room. Lovely village. Probably the best accommodation of our holiday.
Cons: There was nothing not to like
7.5 Good
Pros: The pleasant little town to the south of Biarritz is popular with French holidaymakers, so an authentic French atmosphere. Meals are taken outside in the market square, which can be very lively in the evenings.
Cons: Despite a wide range of dishes, the menu, as so often in France, is very limited in terms of vegetarian and low-fat options, with fresh juices, salads and vegetables making a very limited appearance.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Situated in the pretty main square set up on a hill with lovely views of the surrounding area and sea. Large room and comfortable bed. Room 11 had two windows with perfect views of the sea. Friendly staff with a good understanding of English. Breakfast I had outside looking into the square and old church to side worth a visit. The hotel is also a restaurant and bar. I didn’t eat there other than breakfast. Parking onsite behind the property. Beach is a 10 min walk. Recommend the place. Much smaller and relaxed compared to Biarritz.
Cons: Nothing negative.

5.0 Okay
Pros: bed was ok
Cons: virtually impossible to find, after a long difficult drive of five hours in torrential rain to then spend another hour trying to find the place with the satnav from the address provided was not good, the place is in the middle of an industrial estate with no unit number and if that is the case they should provide co-ordinates so you can find it. no cafe or restaurant on site apart from breakfast, not good. didnt like having to cut through a fog of smoke in the foyer from people smoking to go to the car. as usual no english channels on tv and the language change buttons on the remote had been disabled.

6.0 Good
Pros: Super welcome Staff
Cons: Old furnitures
6.0 Good
Pros: Nice and clean
Cons: I don't believe it was worth a 4 stars hotel. I felt in an average 3 stars or less.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff
Cons: 4 stars?
7.0 Good
Pros: Reception was good, room perfect,. We may have been lucky in choosing just the right things from a restricted menu, but what we did eat was seriously delicious.
Cons: Having selected a room with a double bed from the "available" options, the hotel replied they could not guarantee this option but would try their best once we arrived. On arrival there was no problem - we got our double bed. But why send such a reply - either the option is available or not at the time of booking. Second issue was at checkout - I asked for a printed copy of the items of the bill so I could check what I was paying for. Not possible says the receptionist - the computer cannot do that. Just pay the bill then I'll give you a detailed printed copy, but once it's printed out there's no corrections possible! So I asked for what the items were on the bill. The receptionist reads from her screen the items for room, taxes, drinks, dinner, car park etc. OK? Not really - pay first to find out what I paid for with no error correction available does not seem to be a client friendly approach.
7.9 Good
Pros: Quirky and modern, clean and comfortable. Good value. Great location when travelling from France to Spain. Secure parking!
Cons: Nothing. You got what you paid for!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Within easy walking distance of old town. Onsite secure parking. Pet friendly. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Room was quite small and we couldn’t lower air conditioning so very hot. We could have opened window but didn’t discover that till we were leaving.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Very large and comfortable bed. Great view from our balcony. Very convenient location for beach access and for walking into town along the sea promenade. Very polite and friendly staff, always ready to help whatever the problem. Very good pool and spa facilities.
Cons: Purports to be a hotel that welcomes dogs but despite 20 euro per day charge, dogs not allowed in any of the public areas. Insufficient plug sockets for guest use in the bedroom. Very expensive restaurant and spa treatments. Bathroom a bit cramped for a wannabe luxury hotel.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing good sorry
Cons: It is hard to imagine the room has ONE socket for charging. And the socket is by the entry door behind the luggage rack. No charge port by the desk or by the bed. I called and they claimed there are by the bed. I asked them to come to the room to show me. And guess what ? They found NONE by the beds. I asked the hotel to provide me a surge protector with multiple outlet. And they said they do NOT have any? The hotel is so old with the location they do not bother to treat you as a human being ! As a five star hotel?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Magnificent breakfast: lots of delicious healthy choices Wonderful heated outdoor seawater pool Very pleasant staff English spoken
7.9 Good
Pros: The breakfast was the best
Cons: The furniture in the rooms is outdated
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, the room is a nice size and clean, and the location of the hotel ideal.
Cons: I unfortunately have to say that this was one of the worst hotel experiences for me, and honestly I’m not hard to please. I was terribly uncomfortable with the ceiling height and felt claustrophobic in many areas of the hotel, especially the hallways, spa level, and first room we were put in (the dreaded 102 - avoid at all cost). Unless we were in the bar with large windows, or the outdoor areas, the poor design of the hotel honestly made us feel like we were underground or in a cave. There is also a dire need for renovation, in the hallways and spa floor especially. As mentioned above, the room 102 is absolutely not acceptable for a 5 star hotel and should be turned into a storage room or something. It is a dark lair in the deepest corner of the building facing a cement wall and we woke up to a woman in the balcony next door looking directly in on us in bed. I will include a photo of the view (neighbor lady not included). The steak we had for dinner at the bar was also unacceptable. No presentation at all, just a tiny piece of beef on a very large white plate. For 32€ it was absurd.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed is really comfortable . The room is spacious . It is peaceful and quiet .
Cons: Just a small thing . My 12 year old daughter needed a fringe trim so we visited the hair salon downstairs . The lovely hairdresser was very efficient . It just took her a couple of minutes to shorten the fringe , but paying 15 euros was a bit much for something which took so little time . Apart from that , all was good .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff courtesy, beds
Cons: Parking charges high
7.0 Good
Cons: Service at the reception desk. Rude, overcharged for breakfast, told liars, no apology. And spoke badly behind my back as reception ladies did not realize that I do understand French! Unlikely to be back.

Pros: This is a wonderful hotel in a great location for walking around Biarritz!! The facilities are very good for kids with a great Salle de Jeu in the basement. The breakfast is fantastic with a good selection of nice, local produce. Parking under the hotel is a little tight, but very convenient if €20 per day. The corridors could use a little touch up, but our family room was amazing- well maintained, wonderfully clean and the extra bed worked out perfectly! All in all a great hotel in this friendly, interesting and very enjoyable city. We will be back!

Pros: I love the property is close to the sea and in central Bidarte town. Lots of lovely restaurant around. We had the room with terrace and balcony and it was so lovely to have evening sunshine in our terrace.
Cons: I thought it was but expensive , but also was the beginning of August meaning prices hike this time of the years. The breakfast €14 ? You’re better off to go nearby Boulanger is in the piazza and have your nice little breakfast there for €10 2 pax.

Cons: Bed were good but could be a little more comfortable, but hard to pick a negative in a 2 star
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at the Elissaldia was really memorable mainly because of the great ambiance created by the staff. They were out standing and I have already contacted them to say as much.Nothing was too much trouble.Their interaction with the guests was genuine and the teamwork during the busiest periods was also notable. Our grandchildren ate with us at the hotel on a couple of occasions and they were made feel really welcome. We have already said we will go back.Outstanding.

7.5 Good
Pros: The location was excellent on a square in the centre of this pretty town.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the best place of a tipical basque village
