Staff were lovely.
Nice little break
We liked the location as it is far enough out to be quieter but for us close enough to walk to any restaurants , shops etc. I wouldn't say that it is close enough for less able people to get to places though. The hotel itself is nice clean and our room was very spacious but we did book a superior to have extra space. We had a kingsize bed which was lovely and comfortable and the bathroom was adequate too. Breakfast was nice and I am sure if there was something that you requested you would only need to ask.
The only suggestion we would have is something very simple and that is to have either a small bar of soap or a hand pump soap to use after using the bathroom or for myself to use after I had put hair products on causing my hands to be sticky.
Easy to park directly outside. Nice and professional welcome. Very clean. Lovely decoration. Great hot tub that was ready on arrival. Lovely garden space.
The room was really cold on arrival. The radiators didn’t work but the heater eventually helped. No towel heater or any heater in the bathroom. The coffee machine did not work (wasn’t hot) Only one small bottle of water. I would expect two small bottles for a double room with 2 people staying. No dressing table. I like a dressing table to my make up and hair. I wouldn’t say it’s snobby even the travel lodges and premier inns have them as standard. Minor items but standard for a pricey boutique hotel. Communal areas were somewhat dilapidated. The reception loo would fit a child easily. I’m an average person and it was a squeeze. Goodness know what disabled or anyone on the larger side would do. Breakfast was truly awful. Ok the government closed all food places that very night and I can imagine the staff did their best however the continental alternatives were just dire. 1 boiled egg each. No butter for the dry packet long life croissants. Dry packet long life waffles. Terrible sandwiches. Cold weak coffee in pots that leaked everywhere. All served up in a brown paper bag!! Come on.
Cozy, clean room. Excellent breakfast. Great location. Highly recommended place to spend few nights! :)
room was excellent and well furnished. staff were brilliant,
