Quiet room. The inn is two blocks away from the downtown mall, as well as some great breweries and other places to eat. We used the inn as a place to rest our heads in between traveling around wine country. Very convenient drive to the wineries and Montclair. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Everyone had a genuine smile on their face.
Hidden Gem in Charlottesville
This casual yet sophisticated inn was a comfortable place to stay. After checking in we enjoyed chatting with other guests during the wine and cheese buffet. One family was enjoying a game of cards, while others enjoyed quiet conversation outside on the porch. My husband and I were fortunate to receive their advertised summer upgrade, and enjoyed our spacious room. The gentleman at the front desk was alert and conversational. He also took the time to show me the gluten free granola he had just made for the next morning.
Although the continental breakfast buffet was lovely and substantial, it was a bit tight to navigate.
Very loud with train! And there was no real warning about that. Otherwise, a very nice stay.
Location was perfect;within walking distance to pedestrian mall, free trolley. Staff friendly.
As early risers, it'd be nice to have coffee brewed, available prior to 7:30 breakfast. The staff did offer to put pot, coffee out for me to make, but I was not comfortable entering their work area.
