Service at the store in Chesapeake, VA was very good. Friendly fast service. The return at Charlotte, NC airport was fast and hassle free.Cons:

The staff were just down right horrible. They told me they had no cars any where in the area. I was on hold with customer service for an hour and a half and the guy hung up on me. For all the hassle I went thru they didnt offer me any thing nor were they even nice. They made my whole trip a wreck.Cons:

Office space is very shabby and dirty. Car smelled strongly of air fresheners and the high touch surfaces didn't seem to have been cleaned well. I think I somehow lucked out with not too much trouble but I won't be trying my luck at this Hertz again.10.0 Wonderful

Pick up was a nightmare. I mistakenly rented the car from an off-site, not at the airport, and was told I could cancel it and WOULD get a refund. We canceled and rented the car FROM the Hertz kiosk at the Norfolk, VA airport. I HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY REFUND YET!!! I've called several times!!!Cons:
