First off the vehicle wasn’t a full size suv which I reserved and was told it would be a ford explore. It’s ok if a ford explore wasn’t available, but I didn’t receive a full size suv instead i received a Toyota Vios which is a subcompact sedan and it had preexisting damage all around the vehicle. When I returned the vehicle the staff member was trying to accuse me of the damage not knowing I took 360 degree video recording with the other staff member when I was given the vehicle after the payment was made not expecting a subcompact sedan. After I showed her the video she then said ok your good. But here’s the problem I paid the price for a full size SUZ not a subcompact sedan. So how will I be compensated for the difference?Reviewed 26 Jul 2026

The category under the reservation was for a premium 7 seater Dodge Durango or equivalent, which comfortably seats 7 adults for long rides. At the store they informed me the category was a Mitsubishi Xpander, that barely fits 2 kids in the back row. After much insisting I signed the contract and walked to the parking lot only to find the Xpander as a basic car with not nearly enough inside space for my group. I proceed to cancel the rental since the product was different from what was sold.Reviewed 25 Jul 2026

There is a huge disconnect between what Kayak sells/offers versus what is truly provided by the rental car companies. The class of vehicles between third party providers and rental companies needs to be reviewed and validated. Using Kayak I requested the more expensive 12-passenger van class but was provided the smaller/cheaper minivan from Thrifty Rental Car. Each party blaming each other for the mistake while the customer suffers. Will definitely never recommend either. I deserve a refund.Reviewed 25 Jul 2026

I reserved the car and minutes later needed to cancel because the decision was made to take City transit and they would not allow me to cancel as it was same day but done within 5 minutes. Not a good policy. Should allow you a minimum of 15 minutes Will dispute the charge and was unhappy with the way the customer service team was uncooperative and didn’t really careReviewed 25 Jul 2026

I booked a ford transit and when I got to the rental counter they told me no I only booked a standard minivan. So the vehicle was falsely advertised and had to end up paying an extra 200$ to upgrade the vehicle and 75$ for tollls. I’m extremely disappointed with the quality of the service. This is the second time this same this has happened. I prob won’t be using the app again to book a rental car.Reviewed 24 Jul 2026

The car I reserved, full size SUV Ford Expidition waa not avaiable as promoted. I had 4 passengers with 8 pieces of luggage so I needed a full size SUV. Instead a Toyota Highlander was offered as a substitute or I would have to wait potentially several hours for the car I reserved. I didn' have , the time to wait. I ended up in an undersized very cramped car for a 14 hour drive from NY to Atlanta,, GA.Reviewed 23 Jul 2026

Booked the managers choice for car, but when I went to pick it up I was informed it was an electric car and that it needed to be returned with at least 80% charge. As it wasn’t a Tesla, I asked where one could charge near the airport (as we were staying closer to Galveston, it would be an hour+ drive back to the airport) and the desk worker told me they didn’t know. Not wanting to end up paying an undercharged car fee, I was forced to pay more than double at the desk for an economy car. Staff was curt throughout the whole experience.Reviewed 23 Jul 2026

I thoroughly enjoyed the pickup and drop off process. Our flight was so early and we were running a little late but being able to drop off the car was such a smooth process it helped us make our flight on time.Reviewed 22 Jul 2026

Loved that they were able to accommodate us. When we booked the rental, it was for seven people. We didn’t realize there would be no space for luggage. The seven passenger SUV did not fit us nor our luggage. We asked if we could get a sprinter van and they said no, they didn’t have any in stock. We ended up with a 12 passenger van, which was more than enough space but not easy to get around in Aruba, and challenging to park. The staff at both check-in and return were very helpful and kind. We also assumed that when we put in the airport location that is where we would’ve been picking up the car however, the airport location sent us to a hotel that was a $60 cab ride away. Still don’t understand how that happened, but it all worked out, just way more expensive than we had originally planned.Reviewed 21 Jul 2026

All good apart from being charged a cross-border fee of 65 francs. Hired a car with Alamo two weeks previously and was not charged at all - and wasn't even asked if I was going across any borders. Seems like a desk scamReviewed 21 Jul 2026
