Pros: There was absolutely nothing to like, from pickup to rental period to customer service, everything was a hassle and Hertz was completely unhelpful.Cons: The car was in no condition to drive. There was noises coming out of the dashboard that got louder as I accelerated and it was so loud in the cabin that my wife and I had to scream. The washer fluid ran out after an hour on my way to New Mexico. The journey was horrible and Hertz in New Mexico did not have a car for me to swap at 4 locations. It wasted our vacation time and we had to cut our trip short to return back whilst enduring the noises for 12 hours, stopping on the way several times to check the car.

Pros: I prepaid for a Hertz rental car for our 5 day vacation. However when we arrived to the rental location, there were no cars available. The Hertz staff were unhelpful and did nothing to remedy the situation besides giving me the Hertz phone number. In short we lost money and time and gained nothing from the experience except the wisdom to never book through Kayak again.

Cons: Was notified 30 minutes before pick up time there was no car available for me. I was told they would call me within 20 mins with a car & never heard back. I continued calling them throughout the day, each time there was a different excuse why there wasn’t a car available. Had to rent from enterprise

Horrible Customer ServiceCons: I made a reservation about two weeks in advance of my trip, when I went to pick up the car the assistant manager told me they didn’t have anymore cars and they haven’t had any for two days. That’s not the end of it, when I inquired about why I wasn’t informed the assistant manager told me that they’ve been “trying to call me” But the problem is I actually called this particular Hertz office the day before pick up and then the morning of and both times my reservation was confirmed by the associate. This manager never apologized and showed a complete disregard for the inconvenience and then gave me an attitude for being upset quote “I don’t know what you want me to do” and shrugged her shoulders. When I inquired about my refund she said “we didn’t charge you” as she walked off to the back. I will not be doing business here ever again.

Quality employeePros: The lady who helped me with pick up and drop off was amazingly helpful. She'll be the reason I book with Hertz in the future.

Pros: The car was excellent! Great value, super comfortable, etc.Cons: The insurance cost more than the rental itself. It more than doubled the total cost, and we just went with the "basic" package. Plus, it wasn't clear that we were to pay for the insurance when we returned. We thought that we paid for the insurance up front so that was an unpleasant surprise.

UnsatisfactoryPros: Fuel efficientCons: Poor customer service the truck was suppose to be a six seated however was a five seater which was uncomfortable for our family no others available. They called 2 hours after drop off with attitude stating we caused damage to the truck however if they had checked the contract they would have seen that the damage was pre existing when my husband called back to clarify they were rude and too busy to address his concerns and said they would call back with no return call
