Pros: Staff was friendly and interaction was fairly efficient.Cons: Windshield wipers needed replacing and we found that out as we drove through a series of storms on our way home. It was dangerous. Ipad was not fully charged and staff had to reenter information during our pick up as it died during the process. Vehicle was not full of gas. We had to gas it up before we left on our trip.

Pros: Rep was nice and polite .Cons: Car had issues, AC stopped working in the middle of a road trip so for 4+ hours there was no AC in the Florida heat. Car was not as clean as it could have been Car had damage on it that just made the car seem older than it was , and due to the AC issue, noticeable damage, as well as lack of cleaning it just seems like the cars are not as well maintenance as they could be

Pros: comfortable car, easy driving, easy pickup, and dropoff, also very Covid safety conscious.Cons: Online when I chose the car, it described the SUV as holding 5 people, but the car I originally chose would have been a tight squeeze for four people. I think the car was labeled as medium SUV and should have been considered a compact SUV.

Cons: Kayak did not book rental car at the airport as requested! It was a rental car location 15 mins away! Not good! Enterprise said it happens everyday through third party bookings! We did not use the kayak reservation- Live and learn I guess-

Cons: Location understaffed. Waited 10 minutes without anyone in the lobby. Singular staff was detailing another vehicle for a waiting customer. I finally walked outside and around and handed off my key so I could leave. Never did go through my vehicle with a hertz rep at drop off, which would have been my preference

I will not rent from Hertz again.Cons: The manager and his lack of customer service. It took them almost 3 hours to get us our rental. We were late to our destination and did not get to see our family. We had to drive in the worst traffic and at the worst time of day. That part of our trip was destroyed by the lack of customer service. The solution given from the branch manager was not enough to make us feel better or want to return as a customer.

UnclearPros: I entered the location as Orlando Airport knowing there was a Hertz rental location. However, the location Kayak allowed me to make the reservation was off the premises and we were unaware. The location was about 20 minutes from the airport.

Spouse couldn't drive without additional costPros: No problem with the car itself.Cons: We have NEVER rented a car where the spouse was not included in the original quote. The additional cost was prohibitive. So my husband had to drive everywhere, even short trips. We rented for a month, so this was quite inconvenient! We shall not rent from Hertz again.

Cons: I thought I reserved a car at the Orlando airport. After waiting in line at the airport, I was told my rental car was 20 minutes away and my price would be tripled at the airport. Ridiculous!

Pros: I liked the location as it was close to my house.Cons: The car that I was given was cleaned the morning I went to pick it up but after a few hours, it smelled like smoke and you could tell that they had just masked the smell and not really cleaned the car well. They should have told me that the car had been smoked in previously as I would have requested another car. It was just a horrible smell for the two days I had it and was glad to give it back.

Pros: Nice carCons: I called to modify my reservation and return the rental a day early. The agent said I would be refunded for returning it early, but I ended up paying MORE because there was a modification fee that no one mentioned. Next time I'll rent elsewhere.

Cons: Drop off in ft Lauderdale. The guy was sleeping in a car, not friendly. No english? Poor signage to the terminal. Very dirty area, needs a power wash.

They called me in the morning before I was about to put it up saying there was no car and they weren't sure when they were going to get more. Then they didn't even offer me anything as retribution for their mistakes

Horrible experience.Cons: We arrived at the rental car pick up location 20 minutes before reservation and were notified that the cars were already sold even though we had the booking confirmation. The staff member was extremely rude, and laughed when stating that there was no way that we would be getting a car today even though I made the reservation over a week in advance.

Pros: The staff was nice and friendly. The vehicle was better than expected.Cons: The vehicle had both a nail in the front passenger side tire and another pin hole leak in the same tire. Noticed it when I got the car to my house from picking up, and after I had packed everything for a 3 hr trip. Had to patch the wheel and then replace it with the spare. Not the most fun way to spend several hours of a vacation. Seems like someone missed the maintenance of the tire.

Pros: Car was fine. Didn’t have any mechanical issue.Cons: The pick up did not explain how far was the drop off 30 miles. She said I could drop at any location when ask. She probably new and she did not warn me. Also the Sun Pass toll chip was given me a red light so it was not working after I was paying $4.00 to have the option.

Cons: Everything seemed fine at first, got a better rate , but although options chosen were from Orlando international, counter said it was for a location downtown. Ended up costing approximately $50-$60 more than what we booked.

Worst experience ever renting a car.Pros: Nothing.Cons: I reserved a suburban a month in advance to be called 45 minutes from the time I was supposed to pick it up to be told they didn't have one and the company shipped a Ford Explorer to the location instead. Customer service is nearly non existent. After spending two hours on the phone with customer service I finally got in touch with the regional manager. He did get me a suburban 10 hours later. This ruined part of our family vacation because it was so late. The company then tried to charge me double what it cost originally because the entire rental agreement had to be recreated. Argued with the front desk at 10 pm that night when I had to be on the road at 4 AM the next morning. Finally got them to fix the price only to wake up the next morning and find the incorrect, double, price was still charged. I had my wife call while I was driving the next morning to fix it. Customer service kept trying to tell me it was a hold...REALLY??!!! For $2000 ish when the original was for just over a $1000?! After another 2 hours on the phone with them they finally released the hold and gave us our money back. Finally once we got home I had to take it in and again go argue with the front desk because of the incorrect price being charged on my card and I didn't want it popping back up after we turned it in. They assured me it was fixed and it was just the mistake of the agent who originally checked us out late that one night. Avis ruined our family vacation. We will never rent from them again. i gladly pay the extra that National charges. Stay far away from Avis! The other reviews about how horrible of a company they are are true! The incompetence of its employees is astounding and customer service cannot do anything for you. They read from a script and are like robots!

Beware of pickup locationPros: Both times I called Avis Customer Service the representatives I spoke with were very nice and were able to accommodate my needs. When I called about the bill they changed it to the right amount and credited my account within 2 business days. I had a high fuel charge, which was completely my fault, but still she cut the charge in half for me without me even asking.Cons: Let me start by saying I never write reviews, but I couldn’t resist given what happened to me. I booked my car with Avis through Kayak, 7 monthly in advance. I knew I was traveling during college spring break and wanted to get a decent rate. I flew into the Orlando airport, alone, and headed over to the Avis pick up garage. There, they told me that my reservation was not at the airport location, but another Avis in Orlando that was about 20 minutes away. They sent me down to the Avis costumer service saying they might be able to help me. The woman behind the counter didn’t even attempt to help, telling me its spring break, and they are booked, yet she said she could rent me a car for $600, when my reservation rate was $220 for a full size car. When I explained that I put in for a pickup at MCO, which is the airport code for Orlando airport, she told me that if they were sold out, then it might of automatically bumped me to another Orlando Avis. When I explained that I booked 7 MONTHS in advance she told me that its possible they were sold out that far out. So then I had to take a half hour, $45 cab ride to the Avis on East Colonial Drive in Orlando, which also looks to be a used car lot. There, the lady behind the counter was friendly, but was talking on the phone the entire time i was at the counter. She gives me keys to a Chevy Equinox, which looked really nice, I thought my luck was changing, not so! This Chevy was 1 of 3 rentals on the property, so my options were limited. The outside was completely dirty, which I was not bothered by. The car was un upgraded model, with leather and a sunroof, BUT the inside was completely discussing, the car had stains and crumbs everywhere. When the lady ask if the car was ok I told her it was dirty on the inside, she told me to just mark it on the form. So, threw out the week with the car, I called Avis to see if I could drop the car off at the Orlando airport location for no extra charge, which they were able to accommodate for me. I drop the car off with no problem, I’m handed a receipt , which I didn’t even look at right away because I had all my luggage and needed to go catch my flight. When I came home and did look at it, I noticed they charged my $440, which is literally double what my service agreement said.
