Pros: I did a search for a car pick up from the airport but in fact the pick up place is like 10miles away from the airport
Cons: Not a single sign outside that let you know that Herzt is there, I had to call to find the place..
The tank was empty.. wich is a smooth way to steal you as you will fill it up but is practically impossible to give it back empty again.. so the gas on the car is to hertz or next costumer..

Cons: Condition of car
Experience of agent- he didn't know how to operate keyless car
We didn't realize the office was 20 min from airport do we needed to take a cab

Cons: Car wasn't cleaned or ready. They didn't full the gas tank. Had to fight to go exchange it the following day.

Pros: Excellent service and very nice upgraded car.
Cons: Hertz building was much further from MCO than I had expected. Long taxi ride.

Cons: Hertz cancelled my reservation at the last minute and the attendant that called with the cancellation was not very helpful in trying to help me get another car, her response was "we are out of cars and I can not build you another one". She just continued to say to call customer service to request a refund. In this cases a refund should be automatically processed.

Cons: Windows were all dirty and windshield wiper fluid was empty.

Long wait at pick up
Pros: The car was assigned so there was no trying to find a car to fit your category. We had an economy car, and there was good leg room in the back. Drop off was very efficient with a nice worker.
Cons: I waited in line for over an hour at the pick up counter.

Pros: DROP OFF WAS FINE. I WAS JUST UNHAPPY MY RESERVATION PRICE WAS NOT HONORED
Cons: I reserved a suburban a month in advance to be called 45 minutes from the time I was supposed to pick it up to be told they didn't have one and the company shipped a Ford Explorer to the location instead.
Customer service is nearly non existent. After spending two hours on the phone with customer service I finally got in touch with the regional manager. He did get me a suburban 10 hours later. This ruined part of our family vacation because it was so late. The company then tried to charge me double what it cost originally because the entire rental agreement had to be recreated. Argued with the front desk at 10 pm that night when I had to be on the road at 4 AM the next morning. Finally got them to fix the price only to wake up the next morning and find the incorrect, double, price was still charged. I had my wife call while I was driving the next morning to fix it. Customer service kept trying to tell me it was a hold...REALLY??!!! For $2000 ish when the original was for just over a $1000?! After another 2 hours on the phone with them they finally released the hold and gave us our money back.
Finally once we got home I had to take it in and again go argue with the front desk because of the incorrect price being charged on my card and I didn't want it popping back up after we turned it in. They assured me it was fixed and it was just the mistake of the agent who originally checked us out late that one night.
Avis ruined our family vacation. We will never rent from them again. i gladly pay the extra that National charges. Stay far away from Avis! The other reviews about how horrible of a company they are are true! The incompetence of its employees is astounding and customer service cannot do anything for you. They read from a script and are like robots!
