I have been staying here since they tore the Plasa Motel down a few years ago. I tried a couple of others but when I stayed at the Econ Lodge that was it, I have been comming back ever since. Icall the Qualla my home away ffrom home and try to get back as often as I can. My next visit will be July 1 to 8. I will be there for the Pow-Wow, which if any of you are in the area should try to see. I'm sure once you stay here you'll want to come back, especially when the leaves turn in the fall. From here I'm going up north for about 3 or 4 weeks and then back here on my way back to Florida for a week or so. So, why not make your next trip Cherokee and the Econo Lodge I'm sure you'll enjoy the Hotel and it's location.
Staff friendly, room very clean, nice bedding and comfortable mattress. convenient
I stayed during the street repair time. It was noisy and hard to get around since the street was down to one lane. It was OK for the price. Didn't expect much for breakfast and didn't get much. Coffee and yogurt.
Excellent room it was clean, bed was comfy, would stay again, staff was very friendly.
The room was clean--tv and ac worked--front desk friendly and nice --room service was very good. Breakfast was small (not much choice. Over-all very nice.
I recomend this hotel...It's close to everything, very ,very quiet and the location is so beautiful, close to the river and a lot o f trees around...Loved the place..
The location along the river was perfect! Close to everything we wanted to do, but not so close that we were bothered by the sounds of traffic or the crowds! The room was clean and fully stocked, but the beds were a little lumpy. The staff was excellent; helpful, but not intrusive! The breakfast menu was very sparse, but we will definitely stay again!
I didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. This hotel was very cozy and extremely clean. This is not what I would call a typical 'Econo- lodge'. It was way above my expectations. If you are not staying at the casino. I don't think there is a better place in Cherokee.
I stayed for one night and it was a great place to stay at. The check in attendant was very nice and check out was absolutely a breeze. I highly recommend it.
stayed one night and was pleased with room for the money spent.easy access and exit.would recommend.
- Free hot beverages and continental breakfast - Comfortable beds - Nice clean pool - Very pleasant staff - The shower drain was slightly clogged, so the water did not run out smoothly. It remained in the shower for quite awhile before draining.
Delicious breakfast. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Comfy beds and great shower! Room was a little cold. Had trouble controlling temp.
It was close to the casino and relatively clean.
The room was clean with no issues. The location was also good. You can't really call the breakfast a full service breakfast. More along the lines of a Continental breakfast
The location of the hotel was only 5 minutes from the casino. The view from the balcony was very tranquil and the front desk was very courteous. We are returning later this summer. It was challenging locating the hotel initially, even after contacting the front desk for help.
View off balcony of brook and geese.
great location, beautiful view, very clean, the lady that did the breakfast just knocked herself out to help she was so wonderful. In all I give you A plus. and thanks for all no

It was clean and comfortable

It was very clean and the location was perfect for visiting the casino. no
The first room we got had ants problem and dirty bedding. While the room was supposed to be non-smoking, clearly someone had smoked in the room, and the sheet had a burnt hole in it. Room was not very clean, smelt bad, and was noisy. Staff smoking outside
Cherokee, NC has many hotels, and some are a lot better than others. This is an average hotel, not fancy but comfortable. The bed was pretty comfortable, but the pillows were the usual tiny ones. Everything was very clean. \nThey have a shuttle to the outdoor drama. Take this! It is worth the $* when you see the parking at the park. \nOur trip was really for nearby Dillsboro and Bryson and they are much nicer looking towns. Cherokee is more touristy. Don't pass up the Smokey Mountain trip. \nI would stay at this motel if I didn't find a better one.
I was very disappointed in the hotel. For the price very mad. First we got there around 4pm, the hotel had no towels, none. We had to wait until we came back at around 9pm to pick them up at the front desk. Secondly the sink was stopped up, the toilet ran continuously. the Tub was backed up. And thirdly wallpaper was peeling or missing. The staff was very accomendating and quick set about fixing things.but this not what I come to expect from your hotels.
What a weekend! The hotel and services were great! Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels available. We got to swim in the outdoor pool AND the indoor pool (located in a seperate building, what a great idea!) Breakfast was free and the dinnfer buffet was delicious. We really enjoyed the stay and will definitely be back!
When we first made reservations, we discovered that we didn't get a non-smoking room. After a call to the hotel, we thought the problem was resolved. Nothing was changed and we had to take the smoking room. The room was laid out nicely and had a whirlpool. The lighting was poor, and the room was in semi-darkness with all lights on. There were no convenient electrical outlets. Also, the mattress was lumpy. This type of room is about what I would expect in a 3rd world country. I wouldn't stay there again.
What was that smell? Not pleasant. Hotel desk staff seemed to be puzzled by any questions at all. Side access door was proped open all the time. NOT SECURE. Hotel is not at all satisfactory. Plumbing is 19th century. Try another hotel if looking for a bargain. This hotel is in a great location for a quick breakfast, but that is the only advantage. We will certainly never stay again.
Stayed in Cherokee for a weekend getaway. This was one of many trips we've made to this town but never stayed overnight. Should have stuck with Marriott. This hotel was the pits. Unfriendly Staff at Check-in, Missing Ceiling tiles all over the hotel. Mildewed rocking chairs out front. Banged up walls, halls that were in desparate need of paint, wallpaper peeling in the bedroom, bathroom tiles that hadn't been cleaned in over a century. Furniture that looked like it came from K-Mart. Room rate was $* per night + Tax. The rate included breakfast which consisted of very old pastry and orange juice dispensers that dispensed water. we ended up eating at another restaurant. Poorly run and not very friendly. We will not stay there again. We emailed and called corporate with no response in over 5 days.
desk staff very nice & helpful. Brkfst very good-just need to get all items out on time.
Terribly overpriced for what you get. The wallpaper in our room was peeling from the wall; the sheets were thin and worn; the chairs on the deck were filthy; the carpet in the hallways was dirty and worn; ceiling tiles were missing in several places in the hallways; and many hallway signs were chipped or broken. What's more, the front desk person upon check in was rude and surly to the couple in front of us and to us. He was more concerned about being sure we signed some agreement that no smoking would occur on the balcony than anything else. No smoking is fine - didn't bother us in the least; however, they should be more concerned about upfitting their property than someone smoking outside on a balcony! Overall was just a horrible property and should be closed for extensive renovations!
I travel a lot. I would have to be really desperate to stay here again. The location is great. Near a fabulous place for breakfast and very close to Big Cove Road. That is all there it to recommend it. Toilet was stopped up when we checked in. Took hours to get someone in to work on it. Desk staff is at best uninterested, at worst, rude. Smell of the hotel is not fabulous. Back door would not lock, so not the most secure place to stay.
The room was only fairly clean although size was good. M & M candy on floor. Wallpaper was peeling. Computer access in the lobby did not work although its supposed to be WIFI; room access costs $12.00. Balcony was filthy; needs thorough cleaning. Fridge door handle was broken. Breakfast was adequate.
enjoyed the stay-nice and clean-i would select to visit this hotel again in the future
I thought this hotel was a very good deal for your money. The rooms were nice, the bed was ok. but what made our stay was the balcony with the view of the creek. it was beautiful. Close to everything in cherokee. Would stay here again!
Your customer service representative for the this Rodeway Inn was great in every way possible, I am a handicap & was having trouble with my body, your employees did everything right & I was very happy to receive this email so I can get the chance to say T No!! (I will use the following Rodeway Inn later this year!)
Location was excellent P
Comfortable beds, nice helpful staff and great location for casino. No
Good value clean and very friendly staff Exterior could use a little paint
Great location and view. Friendly welcoming staff.
The staff was courteous and informative. The beds were supper comfortable. The refrigerator was malfunctioning and it froze all of my food.
The hotel had a creek in the back and a nice balcony The front desk clerk was not friendly. He offered no solution to the fact that we did not want a smoking room with two full beds. The room was old and smelly. It was dirty and had cracks in the ceiling in the b. The light above the br sink was cracked
Happy with our over night stay.Had a wonderful room,#147.Our room was extremely clean and well stocked with linens and toiletries.Beds were comfortable. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the river.Gentlemen at the desk, very nice and professional. Looked for an ice machine. Could not find one. Found out at check-out, the machine was on the 2nd floor. May have been signs pointing this out, but I did not see one
Good location. Balconies overlooking creek. Well maintained pool. The rooms were a little outdated. Cheap plastic chairs on the balcony.
clean simple room, small balcony to river from second floor old beer can on balcony, wasn't cleaned when they cleaned the room
Room smelled like smoke. Beds were hard and you could feel the springs. Bathroom was dirty. No toilet paper when we got to the room. Bathroom door wouldn't close. Light fixture above the bathroom sink fell off. "Free breakfast" was only for 2 of our group. It was a mediocre breakfast at best.
Didn't clean our room!
Quiet, clean, warm, towels that do-not scratch, a triple plus for that. Young, middle age, and elder that clean your room, and I meant the clean room the old fashion way, dust for real ,everything. I have allery, and it did not bother me. A real sit down reaturant with all the fixing for a real breakfast...superior Nothing
The buffet breakfast was great. Make sure to bring some cash to tip your waitress. I left my wallet in the room and had to go back and get it. The hotel used to have smoking rooms as evidenced by the smell in the Air conditioner.
Value The free breakfast could use some fresh fruit and a waffle maker.
The bathroom was not cleaned well there was hair on the toilet and several places in the shower.. And the staff doesn't seem to communicate well with each other...
Staff, indoor pool for our grandson, common area in lobby. Double beds - yikes.
We had driven 4.5 hours and so we arrived at 12pm it was too early to check in. We parked over in Harrah's parking lot and walked around and gambled for a bit and then checked in. The casino is literally right across the street so we walked over to check in before moving the car. Our room was ready, on time and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was incredibly clean and the bathroom was much larger than expected. We stayed in a King and the bed was super comfortable, so much so that I had no trouble falling asleep. If you don't eat at the casino (which is horribly expensive) or Wendy's, you will be going back down the mountain for anything to eat. Also, the eggs in the morning are powdered and you can tell. They taste terrible. Also, I was informed that there is a really bad drug and crime problem on the reservation and that there isn't much being done about it. With that said, we didn't have any problems but I would not leave anything of value out in sight in a vehicle. I think this might also be the reason why you have to have your room key to get into the lobby late at night.
Staff was friendly close to casino. Housekeeping should be later since at casino all night. We only got service one day out of four because we slept til 2
Large room, comfortable bed, free breakfast, nice massaging shower head, close to casino.
No clean linen, for breakfast the egg and sausage was fake. The quality of the tv sucked . On Thursday you can't check in before 4:00, but on Friday you check in early...just piss me off. But the bed was very comfortable. The sitting chair need to be a recliner....was not worth $150 a night
Hubby and I stayed 2 nights for our anniversary. It was great with a great location near the casino. Not a big fan of Cherokee. All the local eateries are dirty, overpriced, and none were very good. The only thing going for the entire are is the casino.
The staff were friendly, the room was large, clean and comfortable, and the location is great as we were there to go to Harrah's Cherokee Casino. Easy walk to the casino. Nice view of mountain from our room. The breakfast was good, nothing to write home about, but was hot and substantial and the coffee was good too. Will definitely stay here again and again. There was nothing negative about our stay. We will be returning soon.
Location The room was small and the TV was a Tube TV. I think you need to upgrade. The bathroom door had a whole in it. We had to stuff a wash rag in the hole to have a little privacy while showering and using the bathroom. Unless some upgrades are made, I would not recommend staying here again.
Clean. Comfortable. Spacious shower.
Staff was very helpful including the shuttle driver to and from the local casino! Everything about the hotel and our overnight stay met OR exceeded our expectations.
Nothing Smelly room ,bugs flying all over,
The staff was really awesome! The beds were comfortable and the whole place was clean. They even had a complimentary shuttle to the casino.
Ice machine broken.
Friendly staff, clean. Mattress too soft.
The room was nice and I got a great deal on it N/A
Even though we don't gamble, we love this hotel for the location and great restaurants. We've stayed here multiple times as a fall getaway. Very convenient to drive to Bryson City and Nantahala Forest. Love the restaurants on-site: Ruth's Chris Steaks, BrIo Tuscan, Johnny Rockets, Uno, Starbucks. Beautiful decor with outdoor seating next to a natural creek. Room very clean and nice size. We will continue to stay at this hotel for our annual visit to NC mountains.
The hot tub No wifi in room. Breakfast is very limited.
Nearness to Harrahs No
New Hotel with excellent staff and good breakfast. Really close, I mean walking close to Casino. Nothing

ONE OF THE CLEANEST AND WELL KEPT HOTELS WE HAVE EVER STAYED AT. EXCELLENT CHOICE :)
Everything was great, clean, courteous staff, the whole 9 yards. Not really a complaint because we didn't go to sit in the room and play on a computer, but the WIFi left much to be desired.
CONVENIENT TO HARRAH'S CASINO SOMEWHAT UTILITARIAN
Really glad this was so new...so many Cherokee hotels are ancient and smelly. The location is excellent if you plan to support the local casino. Just across the street - which is under construction btw - so crossing is a bit tricky but doable.
Location and cleanliness everything still looked new. The breakfast bar was lacking, not much choose from, was also in a cramped corner with little room to move around with other people trying to get coffee etc.
Very accommodating staff. I did not like the toiletries (fragrance was very unusual).
I was so impressed with this hotel. It is new. Smells so clean. Bed and pillows couldn't have been better. It was quiet and very relaxing. Beautiful view of the Smokey Montains. Nice pool with hot tub. No
Location was where i wanted to be. The price was a little high for the area.
A standard Day's Inn. Large room. Clean. Staff were very polite and accommodating. Right across the street from Harrah's.
It was walking distance to the casino don't let the pictures, showed it had a pool in the pool look like it had not worked in a long time it was really hot and we had to go to the creek
Right across from Casino Booked room under the impression the pool would be in working order and when arrived found out it was out of order and has been that way for some time! Should have been told this before booking! Need to update website and take pool off of amenities! Very frustrating!!!
Location It was cold, no blankets and staff was totally rude about this fact. They literally told us that blankets are unhygienic and therefore they don't have any. I also overheard one of them tell a handicapped couple that they couldn't have a handicap room because they didn't book directly with the hotel. And they barely had any rooms booked.... Oh they lied and said that the hotel was fully booked, but there were no cars or customers anywhere. They apparently don't like third party bookings so unless you plan on calling them directly don't bother.
Nice & clean
Clean, wifi worked reasonably well, simple. No breakfast might be a plus that keeps the price low. There are plenty of places around to eat breakfast. At many hotels breakfast isn't very eatable anyways... The room keys upon check in didn't work. Had to walk back to the front office. The front desk person couldn't open the door either with his master key. Ended up changing the rooms.
