Room,golf and food. no
Warm reception, very friendly .good foof. Dinning room bright and airy entirement good
The surrounding views and country side. The beaches and the golf course. The comfort and food in the hotel. The hotel fails to take full advantage of the fantastic views for people using the bar. The bar is dark with no views. The bar could be relocated to the lower floor of the new block perhaps taking full advantage of the views towards the beach, Downings and towards the golf course on the oposite side. The area outside could be used for tables and chairs in the summer weather.
The information booklet states, Strictly no Jeans allowed at dinner! Very pretentious even as a pro golfer.
i enjoyed the view from our bedroom over the beach the food was terriffic service was very good a really enjoyable weekend
service was terrific - staff friendly. We had a suite which lived up to our expectations. Views and scenery wonderful no
Proximy of Golf Courses.Lovely views from hotel.Nice beach walks.Lovely coastal car drives.Friendly & helpfull staff.
Very relaxing hotel great decor and view from the dining room Probably a bit expensive when compared to other hotels and I am not sure that it is totally justified.
entertainment was excellant, food was beautiful
The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming and the location is magnificent. A truly beautiful part of the world
The staff, food were excellent. The location of the Hotel was amazing. Loved it. No
the Wig Walk
clean, new, friendly staff, good food noise from night club next door
the food was excellent and well presented. The staff were very friendly and able to advise us on events taking place locally and elsewhere.unfortunately we did make use of spa or any other facilities due to short stay but maybe next time no
Warm welocome, friendly staff, excellent choice of food.
friendly reception, lovely,clean room,keen price.
Each and every one of the staff at the Downings Bay was committed to making our stay a most enjoyable one. Facilities for play and babysitting services for the children in our group were excellent which added greatly to our enjoyment. We were given the additional facilities of washing and showering after the Donegal Marathon run we had entered, even though we returned after the official checking-out time, which was much appreciated by all. As a seasoned traveller, I genuinely found nothing I did not like about the hotel and have already since my return recommended a stay there to friends and family. I will undoubtedly return at the earlieast opportunity - sooner rather than later.
The location is excellent, close to a lovely beach. no.
Homely bed was very hard
Excellent food & relaxed atmosphere, good music & company, great location Bathrooms could do with modernising
Staff were very friendly and our room was lovely. Water was cold some of the time and heating was off in the bedroom but was corrected when we complained and remained 'on' for the rest of our stay. Food was expensive and poor to average - definitely the weak spot.
Family owned hotel, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.Good choice of menus-Early Bird,Bistro and A La Carte .Excellent breakfasts.Staff efficient, friendly but not obtrusive
Location and spacious/comfortable public areas
Warm and courteous welcome. Very pleasant staff and most obliging.Bedroom decor rather dated and dark, but comfortable enough. Bathroom could do also with update. Dining room lacked atmosphere, but the food was good.
very flexible - wife couldn't join me for 1st night and I got a complimentary dinner that night! Completely unexpected! Had to miss breakfast to get to an early meeting (breakfast starts @ 8:15am). Coffee making facilities in room, however!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is quite expensive for what it is! i.e. I have stayed in bigger rooms in B&B's for near half the price.
The food very busy dining room - bookings made but still had to wait half an hour
The whole experience
