Pros: Very peaceful setting. Very helpful and kind hosts. Good facilities as there was use of a kitchen. The nearest town is Duns, about five miles away. We used the Black Bull p/h. Good ale, excellent food and friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing really. Fully met our expectations. It was a bonus to have the use of a kitchen as we ate in one night.

Cons: Wish we had stayed longer!!! :D
4.6 Okay
Pros: Peace and quiet the view . Couple very helpful suggesting where to eat and how to find places .
Cons: It would benefit from updating
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great friendly hosts. Really considerate
Cons: Mattress in one of bedrooms was past its best. Could do with renewal but otherwise everything else was great
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is isolated and stunningly beautiful. The accommodation is comfortable and the owners delightful and helpful. It was a very pleasant stay.
Cons: Finding it is a bit of an adventure as there are no signs and the satnav(GPS) only takes you to a row of cottages and does not tell you to go further along the road. The hot and powerful showers are over baths and could be a problem for those with mobility problems.
7.7 Good
Pros: Owners of the one green hope cottage were such lovely people and made our stay very personal.
Cons: £75 is probably too much to pay for a night as I would love to stay there a week but that would be very pricey! Maybe a deal for more than two nights would be good for marketing.

The Craw Inn - Duns - Building
5
8.7 Excellent (364 reviews)
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The room was very nosey during the night with the fridge, timer and heating. All did not sleep well.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Located in a lovely quiet village a short distance from the A1. The staff are friendly and welcoming and has a lovely old world atmosphere in the bar. a lovely little restaurant to the rear of the building for a romantic dinner if you so wish.
Cons: Our room was not en-suite and whilst we had our own bathroom allocated to the room we had to cross the landing to get to it which at the busier time of year might be a little inconvenient.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were welcoming and friendly, the bar had a lovely homely atmosphere rarely found these days in pubs. The evening meal was excellent but can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't take up this opportunity.
Cons: The bathroom wasn't en-suite, although we did not have to share, we had to cross the landing to get to it which at busy times of the year might be an inconvenience. We felt the breakfast a little on the expensive side and did not therefore take up this offer.
7.9 Good
Pros: Characterful cosy pub, with some characters at the bar. Great food (on Monday) though none available on Sunday night when we stayed. Excellent room, not en-suite but probably better as large and private. Excellent price.
Cons: Price for breakfast quite ridiculous, just go to Morrison’s down the road.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely little inn. The public areas are tasteful and comfortable. The bar - with very friendly and approachable locals - is a mecca for real ale lovers. The breakfasts are excellent and dinners to a similar standard - we dined there twice. It is located in a pretty little village but apart from the village shop, there was nothing else. Some might not like that, but to us it was part of its charm. Offroad parking across the street. It is 2 miles from Chirnside, where Jim Clark, the F1 champion, is buried. Ben manages the food and Anna front of house. Both are charming people and deserve every success. The staff - Kat & Kimberly - were also very friendly and helpful. Ben & Anna have just opened at the First and Last, a well known hostelry on the A1 at the border, which we did not visit, but may be worth a visit. Strongly recommended.
Cons: Struggle to think of anything we didn't like.
