The room was clean and reasonably comfortable but the fixtures and fittings had seen better days, the beds sagged, the window was extremely draughty and the shower, which was only a dribble, operated on either freezing cold or scalding hot, and not much in between. However the main problem was that on the Saturday night a party took place in a small marquee just below our window (we were in a ground floor room). The music was incredibly loud and did not stop until 1.15am. After that the party continued noisily until at least 2am. It was a terrible night's sleep after a busy and tiring day of seeing Liverpool.
