I booked this company specifically because it was listed as “Terminal” pick up. I showed up at the counter, and they told me there would be a ~600AUD additional charge to pick up at the Terminal. Otherwise I had to get a shuttle bus to the off-Terminal site. I was travelling with my wife, large bike box, 3 suitcases and we booked the Terminal pick up so we didn’t have to worry about anything fitting or not fitting in the shuttle van. Had to waste at least 2 hours waiting for the shuttle and driving to the pick up for the pickup and return. The price we paid reflected Terminal pick up/drop off. Customer service lady clearly skipped customer service onboarding and had the attitude of “not my problem” even when I showed the Kayak confirmation email said Terminal. Because her system said a different location, of course she was right and the customer was wrong. Would not book again. I still don’t understand how in 2025 the car rental industry is still a mess and usually a terrible experience.Reviewed 12 Nov 2025

When booked it was showing car in terminal..but when reached have been adviced car was off the terminal..had to wait for 40mins for shuttle to pick me up…during rental…had flat tyre and they asked me to wait 1hr which was not acceptableReviewed 1 Nov 2025

False and misleading advertising ! Marketed and sold as “in terminal” pickup but then involved shuttle bus and walk from drop off point to collect the car. Extremely dissatisfied. Result was late for high level meeting.☹️Reviewed 19 Oct 2025

Terrible, why say pick up at the airport then send you off-site to collect the car. I specifically booked airport pickup because I travelled with an 11 week, 2 big suitcases and a baby capsule set.Reviewed 20 Aug 2024

Europcar has many locations, one at the terminal buildings and one off site accessed by a shuttle service. The 2 do not match up. Firstly Kayak website clearly advertised the car as ‘terminal buildings’ when in actual fact after booking and paying and luckily checking my email says south centre road - the offsite location. Europcar (terminals) were terrible to deal with they just wanted me to hire a car twice as expensive. He also told me to call the shuttle ( which they are supposed to do I was told) so I called Europcar at Sth centre Rd. They were better to deal with overall and the shuttle was prompt and the sky park driver was lovely. Be aware before booking! If you were looking for a quick pickup at the terminal because it is NOT the case with Kayak.Reviewed 10 Jul 2024
