Car was dirty, chip bags and crumbs, clothes in backseat from previous passengers. Was given one price online for insurance and another (higher) at pick up. Pick up and drop off were both quick and easy otherwise10.0 Wonderful

We liked the Honda CRV but the gas tank was small (12 gallons) for the amount of driving we did. We were stopping almost daily to fill up and in Alaska that requires some planning.Alamo

Cons:
The operational safety of the vehicle could have been better. The vehicle had very poor traction on the icy roads and had a lot of previous damage not noted before driving away from the lot. The alignment of the vehicle was not nearly 100%, but drivable for someone familiar with the roads in Fairbanks during the winter. Overall, I suggest checking the alignment before future rental.8.0 Very Good

Staff is very friendly and quick. The pickup/dropoff is outdoors and Dollar is furthest away, Dropping off with bags can be a pain since you have to go in the terminal to get a cart first, sometimes staff will pull the car up to the curb if they aren't too busy. they did it for me twice.Cons:
Just the parking situation but being Fairbanks Alaska, most things are rustic which should be expected.8.4 Very Good

There were two unreported scratches (one was 12" long) on the vehicle so a few minutes were spent running back into the booth to make sure they knew about them before I drove the car away.Budget

Cons:
They said they don't even stock the car (or even the brand of car) I booked, so they gave me a different one, which other companies were offering for less money. I told them this was a bait and switch and asked if they could give a discount, since I would have gone with their competitors at the lower rate. They required me to prove that the car I booked was what I claimed, since they apparently don't have any record on their side of the car. After I proved the booking and requested a manager, they provided discount, which is fair, but this experience shouldn't happen.8.8 Very Good

Lied that it was a 4 wheel drive, lied that it was weatherize, gave us a cord to plug it in and then there was no plug installed on the car. Argued with me on the phone about it and eventually tried to blame me that I booked the wrong thing but I had my reservation to show otherwise.6.4 Okay

my friend left a gift for his wife in the console (a gold necklace) when we returned the car. I went back 40 minutes after turning it in - it was already being cleaned and that guy said he didn't find anything. Really? In todays world?8.0 Very Good

Fast, easy, great customer service. No cars available in the class I had reserved. Free upgrade to 4x4 truck which gave great peace of mind going to and from Chena as well as our remote rental cabin. Simple pick up and drop off. Came with extension cord for block heater. Life saver in cold winter temps. 10/10 would rent again.10.0 Wonderful

Arrived late to find the counter closed. There was a 4 people who had paid for the rental through a third party and had no way to pick up the car. The employees at the other car rental agency's informed us this happens every night. Had to rent a car from another company. I am letting my place of employment work out the issue with paying for a car that was not available for pick up. They knew the plane was late the counter is located in a small airport with two baggage claims. The ticket counter is located by the baggage claim. Someone could have waited the 15 extra minutes to help costumers who had pre paid for a car.Hertz

The lady at the counter was friendly and polite. And very apologetic.Cons:
My reservation did not work. Hertz did not have any cars available even though Kayak decided they would book my reservation anyway and make me think I had a car. I had planned for 22/day which was the rate I was given. Instead I was forced to use the only car agency that had a car available and it cost me 5x as much. $110. I will never use kayak again and I will strongly recommend others use a different site to compare rates or book. Since kayak is useless if it can’t actually book my reservation properly. It’s -20F in Alaska , that’s where I am. And I was forced to overpay for a rental, in any other situation I would have walked but sadly my hands were tied in this situation. 0/5 very poor quality site and poor quality service. I recommend people do not use this site any chance I can now. Which is often since I work in Customer Service and Tourism.10.0 Wonderful
