The location was fantastic. The room was charming with a decor to match the hotel’s upscale vintage beachside decor. Great happy hour and not that there is any control of this but everyone I chatted with, guest or employee were beyond nice and hospitable.
The walls were thin, I could hear conversations going on next door and outside. There were lots of kids which surprised me during Valentine’s Day weekend.
This place is a Treasure. I think it will be the best place of all around when they will be done with the constructions and the improvements. I will definitely be back! The staff was absolutely amazing! I had a Room with a balcony, the view of the sunrise is priceless. I was simply hypnotized by the view during the my whole stay. Also, the spa is a heavenly place.
Great one night stay
I love this place!! It was great for our one night get away; a lot of families, couples, great service, valet was very fast and attentive, Front Desk was fantastic, restaurant was awesome !!!
I dindt like the pool services; you feel like you are along...but this don’t change my great stay it all it’s just a comment.
It’s a five star hotel for sure. Excellent in almost every respect.
We got stuck with a room that had a noisy broken air conditioning system. Room 727. The good news was that Hotel tonight app got us the room for $140.
Loved the stay BUT
Loved the stay right on the beach but the email I received stated that there was a $30 per stay resort change. To me that means a one time resort payment of $30. The front deck charged me $30 per day and went on to explain per stay means per day.. I paid the $30 twice for two days. I think you should reimburse me $30 and change the wording in the email to $30 resort charge per day Rick
Nice Hotel - Great Pool & Lazy River - Mediocre Staff
The pool area and lazy river were very nice. The location is supurb.
Staff was not helpful when asking for businesses around the hotel. Additionally, they seemed short staffed our entire stay. Only valet parking was offered and multiple times we waited OVER 20 minutes for our car to be brought around. Ridiculous!
I'm surprised there wasn't a pay-toilet! Extra for everything.
Recommend for all
Located on beach near Birch Park. Kayaks, paddle boards, lounge chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc available on beach for guests. Valets, check in folks, & staff in general excellent. Rooms nice with good layout and generally quiet. Maid service okay- did not clean our room one day, even tho gone during mid day for about 3.5 hours- not really a biggie as rooms well supplied except for coffee. Saw young, middle aged, older, and family's with small children- EVERYBODY looked like having a good time.
Two things- one morning fire alarm system tested for about an hour. Very loud speaker- wonder why cannot check b/t check in/checkout vs mid morning. Maybe fire dept controls and hotel does not have a choice. Other thing is somewhat trivial- hotel has very limited TV channels; missed The Walking Dead:( But wife could watch Oscars on other TV. Having 2 TVs a plus, even tho channel access limited.
Beautiful ,quaint ,romantic hotel on the beach. Nostalgic luxury. Our new go to vacation Resort!
Bathroom could use some attention to the grout. Little mold here and there. Overall still an excellent place to stay.
Our room was spacious and the view was gorgeous! The balcony off our room and on the back of the resort was great. We really enjoyed eating and having a few drinks out there. The resort's beach was very nice and the guys that worked the beach stand were very attentive. All of the staff were very friendly as well. We had a great time!
The bar closes at 11:30pm, which seemed kind of earlier. We were there at close Saturday night and there was at least 30 people in there still wanting to stay at close.
I absolutely loves this place. Great location, friendly staff, amazing food. And the beds were xtremely comfortable.
Parking was a bit expensive. $30/night
The rooms are a bit dates but beautiful, and the location, staff and amenities more than make up for it!
Slightly boho with a bit of Southern belle and on a prime beachfront location, is only one reason the Pelican Grand Beach Resort is considered one of the most romantic hotels in Fort Lauderdale.
The Pelican Grand Beach Resort feels both modern and quaint, and it's an incredible spot for beachfront relaxation, with spaces like an oceanview terrace ready with comfortable rocking chairs. Situated in the quiet, northern part of Fort Lauderdale, the resort offers direct beach access with beautiful water views. The pristine location is a trade-off for staying the quieter part of the area because it means there isn’t much within an easy walk to the resort. However, a five-to-15-minute drive takes guest to The Strip, a nature preserve, Las Olas Boulevard, a strip of bars, restaurants, and clubs, and downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Spacious, beachy rooms with eclectic style and charm plus balconies and vintage bathrooms range from standard rooms with city views to oceanfront suites with extra amenities. Unique room designs range from striking accent walls made of reclaimed wood painted in soothing pastels to more provincial, cream striped wallpaper. Amenities in each room include mini-fridges, microwaves, flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, and coffeemakers.
The Pelican Grand features a decent number of luxurious amenities for guest including the biggest perk, direct beach access. A pool with a lazy river, a chic spa, and fitness center freshen the deal. There are also dining and drinking options on-site through a restaurant, Victorian-style ice cream parlor, and rooftop terrace.
The Grand Victorian-style Pelican Grand Beach Resort offers plenty of seclusion and privacy in a beachy and charming environment. Travelers seeking a romantic getaway for an affordable value will find a home at Pelican Grand Beach Resort.
