Pros: Fantastic one night stay here! Bob, the innkeeper/host went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. Room was beautiful, quiet and comfortable. Entire home is lovely and filled with unique character. Breakfast consisted of delicious coffee, fresh juice, homemade yogurt with lemon and blueberries, fresh fruit, waffles and bacon. I really didn't want to leave and will definitely return when I'm heading through Minden for business (or pleasure for that matter) Highly recommend! Thanks Bob :-)

Pros: Dear Sally - one of the best B&B in Canada - thank you so much for your hospitality and all your good tips for the Haliburton Highlands. What for a lovely place in Ontario. A+M from Bavaria
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was superb ....of all of our stays in B&B' s (over 30 yrs) this meal was the best ever ..beautifully presented, exceptionally tasty, always original and a delightful "surprise" . It made arriving at breakfast a really pleasant start to the day. The owners were exceptionally polite and courteous and interested in our thoughts and opinions on various topics. We felt so comfortable that we often returned to the lodge much earlier than expected (mid day)to enjoy the ambiance of the lodge, the wilderness and the waterfront
Cons: I can't imagine a single thing that needs commentary. After 24 years of fine service, the owners completely understand what people want and need from a vacation and discreetly attend to every detail. They made us feel comfortable and relaxed in their beautiful rustic old lodge
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the veranda overlooking the water and rapids. We loved seeing a variety of wildlife on the grounds and in the river. We had a spacious and cozy room. The breakfast was delicious and savoury. We liked all the pine decor. We liked the friendly atmosphere and welcome we received there. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to coming back.
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Not really any beaches but that's how these lakes are, rocks you can stand on for fishing and docks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sally and Jan were beyond amazing! They gave us a full History lesson about the beautiful property as well as constantly provided us with fun facts and tidbits about our surroundings. The cabin itself was incredible - post and beam timber framed with lots of tongue and groove pine - providing for a rustic and cottagey stay without any of the negatives that usually come along with "rustic" and "cottagey". We had the pleasure of staying in the Woodrush Room which is arguably the best room on the property (there are really no bad rooms to be honest). Private balcony overlooking the river and Scotts Dam. The food was GOURMET, everything was immaculately well kept in terms of cleanliness and general upkeep and again, Sally and Jan made the experience that much better! All the amenities including a full bathroom with steam shower, super comfy bed and everything else you would expect at a B&B was SPOT ON. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation and in my experience over the years of staying in Minden/Haliburton, I would say Sunny Rock is hands down the best place to stay withing 100km in any given direction. Truly pleased with everything.
Cons: Literally everything was perfect. I wouldn't change anything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our gracious host Sandy (and Cody) was very welcoming and hospitable. She is a wealth of knowledge on the area and willing and eager to share this history with you. Her breakfasts are homemade and out of this world! Our accommodation was clean, very spacious with a view of the lake and the sound of the running water from the dam. Close to both Minden & Haliburton Villages.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was good. The property was spacious and quiet. The staff were excellent hosts, with lots of local knowledge and resources (even a hand-drawn map!) that helped us as we found our way around the surrounding area.
Cons: It seemed difficult to keep a consistent temperature in our particular room when we stayed - a scheduled power outage in the area could not have helped things, though, so it is hard to fault them for that.
