Cons: They didn't have my car, tried to give me a huge truck I didn't want, and tried to force me to buy $200 of insurance I didn't need. I walked out and went to Budget down the street.

Cons: My fault that I accidentally booked a reservation that picked in downtown Birmingham and returned to the Birmingham International Airport. I meant to pick up at B-ham airport and return to the same location, but apparently I selected the incorrect address. However, when I showed up to the airport, the Hertz representative was beyond rude and basically told me to F - off, that there was nothing she could do. The walk up rate she quoted me was $180 / day for a car. I immediately went to the Enterprise booth next door to Hertz and got a car for $34/day. By the way, I'm a Hertz Gold member and have used them frequently. Never again - terrible, terrible experience.

Cons: Hertz customer service was horrible, but that's a whole separate rant Somehow my car got booked NOT at the airport despite the fact I started by searching with the airport code. I had no idea. Somehow my pickup was scheduled an hour before the pick up office was to close. I had no idea Our flight got in late. The combination meant that I would not be able to get a car without a second booking, outside of Kayak. I called Kayak customer support to fix this. Kayak was "closed for the holidays" RIDICULOUS to close customer support for holiday trips booked on your platform. You suck
