Pickup (CMH) staff did not apologize for giving me a car with a dead battery and made it seem like it was my fault. Drop off (PHL) shuttle bus drivers did their best to avoid picking up passengers - a few of us had to walk to the terminal. Hertz used to be a premium brand - now they are just average.Reviewed 6 Aug 2024

You should remove the option for Ft Wayne airport return. Hertz is not at the airport - I had to ask the protocol from the other car rental companies that basically said “ this is hertz MO” to charge the extra fee. Thankfully I didn’t have a flight - just a return. Had to drive to a downtown location (closed) to return on time.Reviewed 5 Aug 2024

Hertz still charges an extra daily fee to add a spouse as an authorized driver. Luckily it looks like a lot of car rental companies are moving away from this, but it's ridiculousReviewed 1 Dec 2021

There was an extra charge for a second (spouse) driver which I don’t think we have ever had from another company. When I looked back at the agreement it did mention additional charges for another driver but didn’t say what they were (13$/day). I would have looked at another rental company if I had been aware upfront (like, the info not buried in the middle of the rental agreement) as it did push the price much past the competition’s price. Pros:The staff didn't seem overly friendly but were helpful enough. They failed to mention their return method at this location which caused a little confusion when I returned the car.Cons:I felt that they should have clearly explained their return method (or at least mentioned it).Reviewed 30 Mar 2021

Pros:NothingCons:They wouldn't accept debit cards just credit cards. Would have liked to have known this before I drove all the way to the airport. Not gonna be a slave to the credit card companies to rent a car. You deserve to have them stolen.Reviewed 26 Jul 2020

Cons:I didn't know I had to have a credit card in order to rent. The lady was very impractical and not understanding that I didn't know I needed a credit card. She said it's on their website but the reservation said no where I was required to pay with a credit card.Reviewed 12 Jun 2020

Cons:We were charged $254.85 and it was supposed to be $102. I noticed the charge on my credit card but thought maybe it was a “hold”. Now reviewing my credit card I see that we were more than double charged.Reviewed 27 May 2020

Pros:We don’t have anything to say about liking because when we got there the car was not ready and they did not honor our card. We had to go an book with another company outside of Hertz.
