7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were wonderful.
Cons: We have stayed at your location before and this time we were booked in an ADA room. I was really really upset that our bath tub was not as it was before. No other rooms were available but I was really looking forward to the tub in the rooms we had previously stayed in.

Pros: Paintings, welcoming staff, sweet potato pie breakfast, gardens
Cons: Close to road and was occasionally noisy
6.8 Good
Pros: We liked the location to the beach, and the value for the room. There are restaurants and shopping nearby.
Cons: It took a long time to get luke warm water for the shower, the rooms are small, but you can't beat the value of the rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The personable service of the staff and the location near a swimming beach and some good restaurants. The nice touch of having coffee, fruit, small snacks and candy treats throughout the day. They also have towels, beach chairs and other accessories for the beach available for no cost.Twice during the week the owner made a delicious sweet potato pie with fruit on top. If you're looking for a small boutique inn and not a major change give Garden Island Inn a serious look.
Cons: It was a little difficult to find but once we did the location was convenient to shopping, groceries, restaurants and getting to both parts of the island.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Central location to get to north or south shore. We loved using the snorkel gear, water shoes and kayaks. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Our room also had a/c which was really nice when it was hot out. It’s right next to a thrift store, which is super cute. Paul had great recommendations of things to do. We loved eating dinner at Hukilau Lanai which Paul recommended. It was super delicious. Because there wasn’t anyone staying the next night, Paul let us go back to our room to take a shower after we went on a hike before our red eye flight.
Cons: Nothing, we loved our stay!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The cottage was lovely, quaint and so convenient. We enjoyed our coffee in the yard in the mornings and totally enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and privacy. The location was perfect. The river was out the back door and the ocean was across the street. Can't beat that. (Hesitated to write this for fear of no vacancy upon my next visit.)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The gardens. The room was well appointed and the decor was charming. Lots of beach chairs and snorkels available.
Cons: Everything was great. Perfect cottage and gardens.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is fabulous. All the amenities were well thought out. Our every need was anticipated.
Cons: The air conditioning was almost not able to keep cottage cool when the humidity was very high. We had very hot and muggy weather. Fans we awesome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Paul has really thought of everything to accommodate us. We could use the beach gear, snorkelling gear, kayak, bikes, laundry etc. The location is also perfectly placed in between the south and north shore, which meant drives weren’t too long.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about our stay.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice elegant hotel.
Cons: The room was very far from the lobby. I’m handicapped so it was sometimes difficult to walk so far. I should have asked for a closer room.

Pros: The location near airport and on the beach was great as were the eating options.
Cons: Hotel is a little dated and the fitness area is under equipped.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: I loved the breakfast buffet. I loved the proximity to restaurants and the friendly staff.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was awesome. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: When we requesting housekeeping, all they did was put clean towels and empty trash. They didnt even sweep the bathroom floor. Kind of disappointing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was updated and clean. I liked that there were several restaurants nearby within walking distance as well as an ABC store and how close to the airport the hotel was.
Cons: The room I got had a Murphy bed which pulled out of the wall. I wouldn't choose that.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: There was no room available for booked room type. Front desk was unwilling to accommodate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very helpful and friendly. We arrived late in the evening and they still looked after us very well.
Cons: I did not have cash when I arrived and the valet looked at me and was disappointed I did not have a chance to for him.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel Is looks amazing, from the grand open entrance, to the beautiful center garden, to the very large round pool, to the location near the beach. We enjoyed ourselves very much during our stay. perfect view if you have ocean view, we would recommend it very highly!
Cons: We booked a queen studio, which came with a pullout bed. And although it was a decent bed, we expected a regular bed. Also we noticed there are very few shadow spots or umbrellas near the pool, which results in people putting down towels to claim a bed even though they’re not there. It is stated that they will be removed after 60 minutes, that just isn’t true. You can rent a shaded cabana (if available), but they’re very expensive (USD 70 per day).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The shampoo!
Cons: Had to pay for coffee. Late checkout was not available for us but 2 doors down got it
6.7 Good
Pros: Activities were good / beach / not crowded
Cons: Staff at check in were not overly helpful / had two reservations and wanted to stay in same room, but they would not let us b/c not same type - but they charged me quiet a bit ($300+) for the 2nd room , the hotel was not crowded at all, so I think they should have been more flexible.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Basically everything
Cons: 25.00 a day to PARK. The only thing that was absolutely ridiculous to me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were very comfortable. Location was perfect. On the beach and very picturet.
Cons: Bathroom was very small.
7.0 Good
Pros: The resort facilities are amazing. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The fitness centre is fantastic!
Cons: Over priced in comparison to Australian standards. Lots of cooking utensils but minimal places to cook (only microwave in the room). Bed was an average comfort and pillows were below average. A fold up wall bed for the price is rich.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting was so lush and beautifully landscaped. Great restaurants were just a short walk away as well as shopping. Very quick trip to the airport. I enjoyed the roosters and chickens so much and felt they added a whimsical touch! Every staff member we encountered was so friendly and courteous and went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay.
Cons: Everything was perfect!
7.0 Good
Pros: Very comfortable beds, nice location and facilities.
Cons: Too expensive for what it offers. Lots of additional cost for parking, breakfast, etc.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Shops and restaurants are close to the resort. It's only 7-10 miles from Lihue airport.
Cons: Everything was good.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The room was big and comfy and we loved having a kitchen. The pool waterfall was nice and the grounds were very pretty. Having a washer and dryer was amazing! Loved the kiddie pool and the sand pit. Kept our two year old very entertained.
Cons: The pressure of buying a time share. That was extremely irritating. Also this hotel has no beach access and it’s next to a beach you cant swim in. That was very disappointing. There are no swim up bars or wait staff to bring you drinks. And the hot tub was way too small for how many people were trying to get in it.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The grounds of the hotel were well kept
Cons: There were bugs in hotel bathroom and kitchen and the air conditioner leaked water all over the floor a few times. Hotel took care of it but did not offer anything for the trouble of these issues
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the east side of the island; convenient to restaurants and attractions on the island. Very clean facilities; quiet; up to date; beautifully landscaped.
Cons: Did not care for having to wait to get a parking pass from the concierge, who wanted to book me for a time share presentation. But she respected by preference not to attend the sales pitch.
6.7 Good
Pros: The location is great, really nearby to the airport and all the spots with car.
Cons: The guests stayed upstairs were very noisy, we could hear them walking and stepping the floor.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Only that we couldn't stay longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect spot for a family
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Central location, full kitchen, washer/dryer and amazing restaurant onsite.
Cons: Hard pitch and aggressive sales tactics to attend a meeting for the time shares. It was unsettling since we had barely been on the island for an hour. No means no.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect. The staff was very accommodating and always very friendly.

6.0 Good
Pros: The view from room
Cons: Beds were terrible. No screen on balcony sliding glass door. Room was dated some. Never changed the bedding for a 7 night stay. Never vacuumed room. Left visible things on rug that should have been cleaned. Always came to early every morning to clean room even though we had “do not disturb” on door. Some of the people working in office/lobby were not friendly. We also got ripped off on our price we paid.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very helpful, breakfast was good, beautiful sunrise sitting on patio, walking / bike track along beach. Awesome pool!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the garden with the chairs, next to the water and connected to the bicycle road, very comfortable atmosphere, open but private.
Cons: Thin walls
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view
Cons: Everything was great
4.0 Okay
Pros: location was great, the beach and grounds were so very nice. This hotel has so much potential.
Cons: The #1 responsibility of a hotel to me is to provide a nice nights sleep. The bed in our room was so lumpy they even attempted to put an egg create cushion on top of the bad bed. It's time for a new one if you need this remedy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location
3.1 Mediocre
Pros: The grounds fronting the ocean were nice but the wild chickens were a nuisance.
Cons: The Economy room was terrible. The balcony fronted on to an alley with 2 big garbage dumpster in it right below our balcony. The shower curtain rod was rusting away. The carpeting was dirty. There were no chairs to use in the room and only one bedside table.
7.0 Good
Pros: Fantastic location, got up early to watch the sunrise over the ocean, just gorgeous!. There is a great walking path all along the east coast that passes through the property. The town of Kapaa is within walking distance and is full of restaurants. The owner made fresh coffee, juice and baked treats in the office for breakfast.
Cons: In the middle of the night we heard some rustling and found that a rodent had gotten into one of our bags and ate all our chocolate covered coffee beans but left everything else alone. Bugs and such should be expected as this is the tropics but leave food items in your car
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Terrific location near downtown Kapa'a, right on the water...open your door and hear the surf, walk to restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable antique beds.
Cons: Facility a bit ragged around the edges...seen better days.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is suburb. It is centrally located on the East Side (windward) of the Island, adjacent to the beach. The staff is especially friendly and helped make this a great experience.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and had everything we needed . The staff was extremely helpful with helping plan activities. They also had items for us to borrow such as beach chairs and snorkel equipment. We found the location perfect.
Cons: There were several stairs to climb to get to the room which didn't bother us at all but just something to consider for the elderly , disabled or those with small children. The only thing I would change about the room would have been new mattresses.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property provided a self contained two story apartment that was roomy and comfortable. Most amenities are included including a pool and the beach is a three minute walk away. Shops are nearby and the local bus system is affordable with a stop 2 minutes from the location.
Cons: The props is slightly dated but very clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, very family friendly. Great location
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location to visit all parts of the island. Like being able to cook meals at the condo. Kids loved having swimming pool. We were able to borrow chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas so we didn’t have to spend extra $ on renting those things.
Cons: Noise from highway. Condo was not well stocked with basic cooking utensils. There was a note that we could borrow things like cake pans, waffle maker, etc but when we went to borrow it was not available
5.0 Okay
Pros: Close to the airport
Cons: Old furniture, ac very loud in bedroom, dated condo. Needs fixing up for the price we paid, it is not worth it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Banyan Harbor. The room was clean, the staff was very pleasant and helpful even with our late arrival. The price was right.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We needed one extra night between timeshares. We were able to stay here, which is where our 2nd week is! The staff were so friendly and accmodating to our situation. We were able to stay in the “hotel” room until our timeshare room was ready. It was just a few doors away, and in the pouring rain, it made moving so much easier. It’s an older facility, but very clean and the location is awesome!
Cons: No elevators.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location on the island. Unit had its own carport. Unit had washer/dryer. Had window A/C units. Resort had a selection of beach chairs and umbrellas for our use while there. They offered daily beach towel exchange.
Cons: Privately owned unit instead of uncluttered timeshare unit. Needs updating BADLY. Living room furniture was tacky and too big for small space. Too many stairs to unit, needs elevator. Remove all the tacky wall decor! View overlooks top of other buildings.
7.9 Good
Pros: Centrally located
Cons: Nice Multi level condo but older folks had a hard time with 3 flights of stairs
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was nice The condo was clean and staff was outstanding Very friendly
Cons: Little bit over priced for us
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the airport, plenty of room, helpful staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, had everything you need for cooking and being comfortable. Great place for families as the condos are spacious. The location was perfect for us as easy access to both the North side of the Island and all of the major attractions.
Cons: Our condo was not right on the beach and the highway you crossed to get to the beach was a bit noisy. As was the shipyard directly across from the condos. We got used to it and overall felt the price for the room more than made up for any of this.

Pros: Location and value
Cons: Parking was limited at times
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful area. Love the beach and the room was comfortable.
6.0 Good
Pros: Fairly large room with distant ocean view.
Cons: Slow check in process, $50 resort fee for one night were we used no resort services. Horribly parking situation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were attentive and friendly. Grounds were beautiful. Loved that there was laundry availability. Location was good. Pool and tiki bar were awesome.
Cons: Different amenities in each room. Our neighbors had a toaster and a clothes rack but we did not.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool, hot tub, close to Lava, Lava for meals, great staff
Cons: I asked if there was a special rate if you booked for a month and it was more expensive than what I paid for a night. Also the add on fees. Should be included if one can not opt out of the plan.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved being able to walk onto the beach and stick my toes in the surf every day. Oceanview room looked right out to the sea. We left the patio door open most of the time just to listen to the waves. Wifi worked great and they gave us free coffee coupons for Imua coffee shop each day. It was nice being able to walk to several restaurants nearby.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location for a “beach front” unit. Many of the other units are built at angles and seem to have a view of the other buildings. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved having a bar at the pool, with very reasonable drink prices! Very convenient location, with short walks to shops, restaurants and market.
Cons: The lighting in the bathroom was so dim, I had to go out to the patio to put on makeup. It really needs an upgrade: very old school, with small, stained tub, ragged curtain, one sink. The property in general seems dated, and not especially maintained well. Paint peeling from railings, chips and stains on cement stairs and walkways. There is a microwave, but no glass containers to use for heating. No cooktop. Refrigerator had plenty of room, but no freezer. The room was furnished nicely with good rattan, but was crowded, so no room for a bedside table on my side, which was very inconvenient. No place to set down a book, glasses, a cup, phone, etc. I had to use the small couch, which was two inches away from the side of the bed. Anyone with mobility issues would have trouble getting in and out of bed on that side. The screen door to the balcony needs to be replaced; very old, rusted, hard to open and close (I had to use both hands to do it!) Very limited choices for TV viewing, but they do offer free DVD’s to check out for use in the room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a great location, close to shopping and dining. Parking was convenient.
Cons: Rooms are very small, more like a hotel room than a condo.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: near the coconut place-shopping
Cons: parking lot
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My ocean front view
Cons: Well It would been perfect if I was in the second floor for Perfect view of the ocean, I was given a last minute room And thus the only dislike .
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the lush, beautiful gardens”must be spectacular and fragrant, when the plumeria is in bloom! We also loved the proximity to the beach and the gorgeous beach itself. The staff couldn''t be nicer, including the activities coordinator so helpful!
Cons: We followed the rules about putting towels to be replaced in the tub, however it appeared that the towels were all replaced every day regardless of our wishes. Also, I long for paper & plastic recycling options.

Pros: Woman who cleaned our room in Maile bldg. fabulous. Loved proximity to the ocean.
Cons: Public bathrooms out of seat covers and even toilet paper at times. Waitress at Lava Lava would not serve us a dessert drink after cashing us out (we had expensive tab, dinner & drinks". She told us someone had a reservation and we would have to leave and/or move to the bar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Greeted by wonderful hostess when we checked in. The room was beautiful - very beachy feel. It was quiet, like we requested. Enjoyed our coffee on the beach, watching a gorgeous sunrise! Won't ever forget our stay and highly recommend to all!
7.9 Good
Pros: It seemed like a very fun, family friendly resort. Our room was comfortable and clean.
Cons: Our room was at the end of the hallway with the maintenance room across the hall and an outside door at the end of the hallway with maintenance equipment out there. The maintenance staff was very loud in the morning (7am) and evening.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was very central and good for exploring the rest of the island. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location on the beach was nice, and good to watch the sunrise. The was a little plaza next to the resort that had restaurants and shopping that was convenient. Don't miss Sushi Bushido while your there.
Cons: The food at the Lava Lava Grill was average at best.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff is outstanding, warm and helpful.
1.0 Poor
Cons: very dated- door opened to a wall- had some kind of fresh air machine going. we checked out after one night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was a little rough around the edges in places, but for the price and the location it was AMAZING value for money! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
Cons: The room didn't look quite as smart as it did in the promotional pictures.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a nice resort, nothing overly fancy, the room was clean and the staff was friendly. It was in a good location and beach front. The pools looked nice, we didn't get a chance to swim. There is a nice little bar on site with a resturant and a couple of restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: Our room didn't really have a view, but for the price we weren't really expecting one. We weren't able to take advantage of the bike rental as we didn't request to reserve early enough. Not really anything negative to say.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lava Lava Bar/restaurant was fun and relaxing. Nice Hawaiian Hospitality.
Cons: I would have liked an option of hot tea or coffee in the room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location on the beach in close proximity to airport. Accommodated late check-our. Friendly & helpful desk staff.
Cons: Room had very musty and damp odor. Not enough pillows. Bed only had thin blanket on it. I was cold.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: They accommodated my request for a room on the second floor.
Cons: The bed was hard, not very comfortable.

5.4 Okay
Pros: We enjoyed the spa facilities. We had a great couples massage.
Cons: The room was not worth the price. There was mildew on the lampshade, scratches on the walls, and it smelled like tobacco. The staff was not super accommodating and at time, rude.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel grounds was very nice. The 3 swimming pools were nice, but we mainly used the hot tubs and walked the beach.
Cons: Self parking was a bit challenging later in the evenings, so we had to park in the overflow area which was not paved and was muddy on several occassions.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was the best part! Great omelette cook! Room was good. Staff very helpful and good. Seem short handed in the bar for servers, but the waitresses really tried hard to make everyone happy despite lack of help. Nice free performance of hula and song!!!
Cons: Pool was too cold to swim in for my taste. Need more janitors to clean beach. Get some cats to scare the crowing roosters!! I live on a farm, I came to Hawaii to get away from farm life!!! Way too far from anything! Couldn't walk to where we wanted to go. Rented a car, which we didn't want to do. Should have a shuttle to town, like other places do.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds very comfortable ,restaurant had very good food.
Cons: Hot tubs had lots of children in them. Not relaxing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and the outdoor pools. We also enjoyed the outdoor dining.
Cons: Even though we enjoyed the outdoor dining the birds became a little to friendly eating my food when I left the table unattended. I felt the restaurant service staff wasn’t very friendly and the front desk seemed, overworked and unwilling to help.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Great quiet property. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: More bar/restaurant options on the property with late hours.
7.0 Good
Pros: Located near airport.
Cons: Pillows were nasty.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located, it made exploring the island very easy and accessible.
Cons: A car is a must at this location!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was exceptionally helpful and pleasant. We asked for help with our room safe and a staff member immediately responded. We had a new safe within the hour and enjoyed conversation with the staff.
Cons: The resort is older and although it is carefully cared for it is showing wear. The nearby beach is a sad display of tiny bits of plastic deposited by a polluted ocean. We grieved.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Also, the air conditioning was a big plus, as other places we considered didn’t have A/C. This was definitely a deciding factor in choosing Kauai Beach Resort.
Cons: Can’t think of anything we didn’t like! It was a good value for the rate we paid. It’s not located right on Poipu Beach, but I would have expected to pay much more for that. It’s only a short drive to all the best beaches, so you can’t go wrong.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very clean, comfortable, has nice rooms and a beautiful pool area.
Cons: The reception was mostly unfriendly and on the day of our check out we asked, if they have shower and changing rooms to shower after the planned kayak tour. They said yes. Well the changing room is the restroom and the shower is the cold outdoor shower at the pool area. (So cold shower without soap) We asked 3 times and they were just not helpful. The spa showers are only for spa treatments. Would have been great to shower before we fly home 24 hours.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Hotel. Great stay.
Cons: Everything was great just too expensive. We were very disturbed to see the amount of garbage, waste and micro plastics on the beach in front of the hotel. It could use an extensive cleanup.

Overview Reviews
In the Greek language, ISO translates to equal. Yet, youll quickly grasp that The ISO is unequaled in embracing the adventure, romance and culture of Hawaiis Island of Discovery. Fresh from an extensive modernization and rebranding program, east Kauais former Mokihana Resort has emerged as a chic boutique hotel where island, sky and ocean create a balance of relaxation and rejuvenation. While The ISO has re-imagined the former Royal Coconut Coast retreats aesthetics and perks, it continues to celebrate the remarkable oceanfront setting that now inspires wellness, invites discovery and immerses you into island culture.New lifestyle touches include a bell/valet team, 24-hour front desk, WiFi, courtyard fitness sessions, bicycles, yoga mat use, BPA-free plastic water bottles with water refill station, and daily breakfast of fresh island fruits, yogurt and granola.
6.0 Good
Pros: Room was small, but had a very good view of ocean and it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The day staff was friendly and helpful (Carol), though the evening desk staff and the staff on when the main receptionist was off ... not very friendly. The restaurant was very good ... staff-wise and food-wise, though the tables, serving areas, and such are quite dated, even worn, and and are in need an upgrade. The pool was good. And the place itself was well-located and maintained. Old Town Kapaa is reasonably close, as were food stores, pharmacies, and good restaurants.
Cons: The breakfast was sad, except for decent coffee and tea (though 1 small electric hot water pot is no where near enough for so many quests. Also, there was no half and half or full cream, just 1% milk for coffee; and, there were no cheeses or meats or protein of any kind ... that's very poor decision-making, especially for the price. "Continental" type offerings ... no healthy choices except for one or two kinds of fresh fruit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stay in a very clean room that had all the amenities needed. Love the touches to make this place an environmentally friendly place. Convenient location near the airport and great for exploring both the North and South/West side of Kauai. Breakfast was simple but sufficient.
Cons: Nothing!
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was a great central location on the island, the pool was nice and the ocean was right there, I fell asleep to the sound of the ocean waves every night. The staff was very friendly
Cons: A lot of traffic around the area
9.0 Excellent
Pros: View and excellent concierge Brian who was extremely helpful
6.0 Good
Pros: Great location, nice room.
Cons: Carpet smelled like a locker room. Location of room allowed for balcony at right angles to have clear view into room. Privacy diminished.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The exceptional view. Having a balcony overlooking the ocean. Comfy beds, gorgeous bathroom and great room services with very friendly staff.
Cons: More options at continental breakfast. Variety of fruits and condiments.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room had a great view - as other reviews stated - No AC but it was fine when we were there it was fine with fans. Walking distance to grocery store and a few food options. Pool was nice as well. Nice location in Kauai to base yourself as in the middle between North and South.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, excellent attentive staff. Not touristy. Bull Shed was also fantastic!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of our hotel, room & parking was excellent for us. Our room was very clean & housekeeping staff was excellent in its daily attendance. Check in & check out staff was very gracious, warm, & helpful. Grounds is attractive, neat, & clean.
Cons: Though we had a 1st floor room, with a wheelchaired Aunt, our bathroom was challenging for her use. It was not ADA adjusted.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The Beach House Suite was amazing! The balcony looked right out at the water and sunrise.
Cons: It had a nice loft sleeping area, but a mattress on the floor would have made the space so much better! Music from the restaurant below was a little loud, but they didn’t play too late. It wouldn’t keep me from booking this spot again!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming upon arrival.
Cons: There is no air conditioning, the beach is covered in rocks, the resturant was a complete disaster. Rooms were recently renovated but everything still seems old and worn down. Bathrooms are extremely small
5.7 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: No “upgrade” fee to a room over the pool with partial ocean view; no “resort fee” for a plastic water bottle; better breakfast offerings

Pros: The room was large and exceptionally clean. Enjoyed the private verandah off our room with beautiful plantings creating privacy. Lovely pool area and continental breakfast. Staff were very attentive and because our room was ready, they were kind enough to let us in much earlier. They have SPECIAL SPECIAL rates for all of Kauau's activities. You'll enjoy this boutique hotel. We'll certainly be back.
Cons: Towels for pool were too small and worn. Fluffy towels are good.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The Kauai Inn was a great place to start our vacation on Kauai; it's not far from the airport, and in a quiet place close to Lihue. The staff was extremely welcoming and helping out for retrieving lost items of ours. Swimming pool and garden were lovely, room was clean, in short, we were very happy with our stay (and the price is not that high compared to other fares on Hawai'i and Kauai). Mahalo!
Cons: A little effort on improving the breakfast would be welcome, but that's just to leave a comment here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very unique, quaint hotel. Clean room, very friendly staff. It was nice that there were washers/dryers on site for laundry
Cons: Slightly off the beaten path, if you care about that (I don't). A/C unit was very loud. I had to shut it off, because it kept waking me up
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Dan at the front desk was awesome - excellent customer service - efficient and professional!
Cons: The air conditioning unit kept me up at night. It kicks in/on every few minutes and gets pretty loud, also wasn’t very cold, so I think that could use some improvement. Other than that, no complaints!
6.8 Good
Pros: Room was nicely appointed with comfortable bed. Parking was very convenient and the young man who checked us in was very nice.
Cons: AC was so loud that it was impossible to get a good night sleep, even the neighbors AC could be heard in our room. A little better cleaning wouldn't hurt either. My wife dropped an earring and found quite a bit of dust and a sock under the bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing and friendly staff. Loved the free breakfast every morning.
Cons: The sound of the chickens early in the morning at 4am but that's their job as animals so no big deal.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the surrounding and views
Cons: More lights at night or Censored lights to turn on for walking.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff said they wanted to make the hotel feel like a home away from home, and they really succeeded. Very comfortable and welcoming, and staff all super friendly and helpful.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Low key relaxed setting in lush gardens. This old style Kauai hotel has air conditioning, large flat screen TV, good shower, local pets to entertain you, continental breakfast and very accommodating staff. We stayed for one night but could have stayed longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location and the buildings and grounds!
Cons: Stairs

Pros: Great central location near restaurants grocery store. The beach is beautiful don’t forget to skip a pool day and enjoy the beach right in front of the restaurant
Cons: The pillows in our room were a little thin but other than that everything was terrific
8.5 Excellent
Pros: This resort was the perfect place for my and my family to stay. We had a toddler and infant with us and it was just right for them. The pool was great with the walk in sand kids area and the condo had everything we needed including a washer and dryer. The grocery store was walking distance and we went to a delicious restaurant called kenji burger right next to the resort, also walking distance, that we really enjoyed. Overall it was a great place to stay.
Cons: I know this place also has condos people have shares of which makes it difficult to offer this but it would have been nice to have a daily cleaning service for fresh towels and restock of other items. You pay a cleaning fee but it’s only for when you leave so you don’t really benefit from it. It’s nice to have a washer and dryer but I do like having the room cleaned at least every other day would be nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool grounds were fantastic, we all enjoyed using the pools and even the odd slide down your water slide. We also took the opportunity to rent bikes through the spa and enjoyed a great ride along the sea wall.
Cons: No complaints.

Pros: The location of the resort was spot on. Room was good and even with the grounds crew going by every morning, I enjoyed coffee outside our ground floor room. Restraunt was good, pool nice and great access to the ocean.

Pros: Overall great facilities
Cons: Didn't like having balance and security bond put on hold. Very difficult to get money released when needed.

Cons: Very overpriced
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The state park it was next to on the beach was beautiful.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, awesome front desk staff, great location
Cons: We had a group of 7 hotel pool bar service was terrible. I set my timer and one day I waited 22 minutes standing in line at the bar and only one person in front of me. Having one bartender is inexcusable. We found a local bar Instead.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Proximity to places we were visiting
Cons: Checking in was delayed. Room cleaning was not done till after 3pm and there were ants in our room
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and service, both very good.
Cons: Struggled with the room keys. Had to go to reset the card key multiple times and even then it was hit or miss and having to keep trying five or six times before it worked.
7.0 Good
Pros: I enjoyed how quiet the hotel was. It didn't have loud ambient music all day. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The only two negatives were the loudness of the AC and the absence of a safe in the suite. We ended up buying an inexpensive fan which helped considerably. Would have been a good thing for the hotel to have stocked some fans. I would also choose a hotel with balconies as it would be good to have a place to dry things out on.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location is great. Open and airy entry to hotel. Attractive and welcoming restaurant and bar all in one area. We had a room facing the pool on 3rd (top) floor. Gorgeous sunrises and melodious roosters.
Cons: I received 23 bed bug bites on stomach the 1st nite. Photos. My Dr. husband never got bit! Hubby asked front desk if any bugs bite. Learned upon return bed bugs can be selective. Looked on net called mgr Butac. Said she’d talk to housekeeping. No w
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice cottages in this hotel, spacious for a family of 4. Hotel close to the sea but it's not really a beach. Central position to visit Kauai island. Nice restaurant with yummy food and particularly breakfast.
Cons: We were there around Christmas time and it was particularly rainy. Unfortunately the hotel did not organized concerts or events while we were there so we spent time there for the nights and breakfast / dinner sometimes but did not spend much time there during the day. The price we paid for this stay was a bit excessive for something called "a resort". It was more a nice hotel than a resort.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The open atmosphere and near the beach.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was average. First room was excessively noisy from the a/c. The second room a/c only lasted part of the day before giving up. Housecleaning was ridiculous. 5 out of 7 days, not done until 6 pm. The other 2, they were back at 8 am.
Cons: Housekeeping scheduling, as well as Hilton rewards program. After numerous attempts to get on line, I gave up. Access was denied. Thanks but no thanks.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is awesome and the property quite well maintained
Cons: The staff was not very service oriented. The guy who handed over the keys at check in was so bored, that it was kind of embarrassing for us to ask him any question at all. But one incident was really disappointing . We came back to the hotel one day and found the door to our room wide open fixed with a chock. All our luggage and stuff inside. Luckily there was nothing missing in the end, but I would expect at least an apology from the hotel instead of everyone running around to find the person who was responsible for that. Mistakes happen, even this is one, which should not. But what is really unacceptable is, that we did not even receive an apology or any other reaction from the hotel staff at all.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Jeanette at the front desk was the BEST! She was friendly and extremely helpful. Jeanette even remembered our names when we had a question later in our stay. The free welcoming Mai Tai's were very much appreciated when we checked in at the end of a long day of sight seeing and hiking. The Mamahune Tiki Bar was outstanding! We loved the food and drinks.

6.0 Good
Pros: The view from room

Pros: The location is suburb. It is centrally located on the East Side (windward) of the Island, adjacent to the beach. The staff is especially friendly and helped make this a great experience.
