Room was very good. Spa was good. Breakfast was good. Staff very helpful.
Slight issue with room not being ready. Was invited to the premier area to have a free drink. However we were left in a room where businessmen were having a meeting and all of the drink sat in locked cabinets so,we couldn't have anything anyway. No-one came back to check on us so we left for the bar.
Everything, the staff are respectful, arming, and they smile

The spaciousness of the room. How clean the facilities were. And how polite the staff were.
Decent sized room. Good lighting in the bathroom. Lovely decor. Very good storage for clothes etc. Very good facilities. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly aside from the lady who completed the check out - looked like she didn’t want to work there and didn’t seem to understand my questions.
Stains all over the curtains. Curtain also hanging off on one end so the light came in right on the pillows in the morning. The shelf behind the toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly - not expected in a hotel with this many stars!
The quality of staff was a hit or miss. Overall, there were only two staff members who impressed me. The night concierge was incredibly attentive. Although a young man, he was clearly overqualified. The night manager was highly reasonable and particularly helpful when I confronted any problems with my stay. He had very good customer service skills. Another nice element was the provision of fruit every evening. It was a unique and memorable touch. The variety included persimmons, bananas, apples, oranges, and plums. That was very nice. Finally, the room offered outlets adapted for international travelers.
The negative element of the stay included the inattentiveness of most staff members. There was a lack of polished professionalism that is instrumental to a quality hotel. It felt like an disjointed operation. As for house keeping, I was unimpressed. The bathroom was not well cleaned, and it appeared the floor towel was repeatedly unchanged. Although the room was constructed with high-end technology, it was poorly integrated. The technology was not particularly easy to use and added little value. The television would not respond to the controller. Further, the television sat above the desk, making use of the desk awkward. Also, there was no light above the desk and no desk lamp. Finally, both the pool and gym were inaccessible at night and early morning. This can be inconvenient for business travelers. Still, the pool was impressive. Overall, I was disappointed and would recommend looking into other hotels, such as Apex (where I had a more pleasant stay during a prior visit).
Few five-star hotels in London are quite as memorable as M by Montcalm. An architectural world-first, its striking form is a symbol of the city’s pioneering spirit. With design inspired by Tate Modern artist Bridget Riley, the building plays tricks with the eyes as light shimmers on its glazed exterior to dramatic effect. Inside the airy, double-height lobby, an all-day cafe-bar buzzes with conversation, overlooked by a mezzanine bar perfect for people-watching. Plate Restaurant serves the best of British, enlivened with a dash of French flair thanks to acclaimed Chef Patron Arnaud Stevens. The hotel’s 288 guest rooms are smart, stylish spaces bathed in light from the distinctive diagonal glazing, with luxe amenities, intuitive tech and underfloor heating in the bathrooms. The spacious Sky Club rooms afford far-reaching views across London, and seamless in-room check-in. A world away from the rush of urban life, an inviting pool and a high-spec gym.
