Pros: It was a peaceful getaway for me and my wife. Very enjoyable and relaxing.
Cons: Room service was magnificent.
Pros: The room was really nice
Cons: Well satisfied
Pros: The look of the hotel is very cool. The rooms were spacious and clean with a nice bathroom area.
Pros: The hotel is right off the freeway, and the location is amazing. There is a gas station adjacent to the hotel, which was great because we just walked right over to buy some waters.
Cons: Pay for parking my car
Pros: Nice decor and great location
Cons: Charge for parking which is ridiculous. Girl who checked me in was a bit rude
Pros: The room was ready and clean! The staff were friendly and attentive. We were only there overnight but it was very nice, quiet enough and clean (which to me is the most important feature)!
Cons: Nothing, it was all good
Pros: Clean, spacious, nice amenities. Close to freeway and airport.
Cons: Lack of nearby attractions. Far from downtown and other tourist areas/attractions.
Pros: Clean, and luxurious feel. Easy access, and only minutes from Manhattan Beach.
Cons: Restaurant was mediocre.
Pros: Huge rooms deigned and furnished lavishly.
Cons: A bit too far from any touristy attractions. Not a walking hotel b
Cons: Parking charge.
Pros: Location and good price
Cons: Front desk staff / accounting staff are incompetent
They double charged for the room and then didn't seem to think it was a big deal. I'm sure it will get refunded sooner or later but just a hassle. First and last Ayres hotel stay
Conveniently located just minutes from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and downtown Manhattan Beach, Ayres Hotel Manhattan Beach offers convenience, comfort and old world elegance. Each guest will enjoy pristine accommodations as well as complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. A daily full breakfast is at a surcharge. Self-parking is available at $10 per night.
Pros: My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Marina del Rey Hotel.
Our room had a amazing view of the marina, was very well appointed and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to that part of LA.
Pros: Vibrant lounge with a nice view of the marina.
Cons: $30 valet only parking option!! Weird odor in the room
Pros: Ambiance was great from the beachy/sea vibe in the lobby with the "flying" seagull sculptures hanging from the ceiling a wonderful scent machine in the lobby that makes you feel like you are at the beach.
Very romantic setting at the outside bar complete with couches and fire pits.
Beds were super comfortable.
Cons: $30/day for valet parking is a bit steep when there is plenty of parking around the hotel. Give an option for people to park their own cars, even if you have to charge a fee.
Pros: The remodel is first class.
Cons: The front desk service was fine. The dining was terrible. Slow inattentive service, overdone steak, raw salmon, overpriced.
Pros: We loved the view, facilities, great beds and location of the hotel.
Cons: No complaints.
5 miles from the Los Angeles International Airport, this hotel is 4 blocks from the shops and restaurants of Fisherman's Village and a mile from a public beach.
Pros: I liked that the hotel was near the water, close to a concert I was attending.
Cons: I booked this hotel because they had balconies and it was near the water. The balcony was closed due to renovations. The bath tub was small , hotel was a little outdated. Not as special as a experience as I was hoping for
Pros: Nice place, but not worth the Ritz premium. I would stay at the JW Marriott in Santa Monica next time I'm in the area.
Pros: Hotel staff was outstanding; from valet, front desk & concierge all the way through to pool attendants, room service and bell desk.
Cons: Totality , needs upgraded , bathrooms , amenities , need more restaurants .
Pros: Staff is great, and generally a very nice hotel.
Cons: Doesn't live up to our expectations based on previous experiences at other Ritz hotels. It feels tired, not as luxurious as others, and is starting to show some age without upkeep. A simple example would be the pool has cracked tiles and feels rundown.
Pros: I like the avalibiliy of the staff
Cons: For a younger crowd in there 25-30 age it's not an appeasing hotel it's more for older crowd like 50-60 so for me being a pro Olympic athlete and being 23 yrs old I didn't enjoy it that much
Pros: the location
Cons: room service food. the french soup was disgusting. There was also no glasses in the room.
time it took to get the food
valet parking took 15 mins to get our car
Pros: I can't begin to find words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton! We arrived on a Wednesday morning with a sick child. The staff immediately took charge helping to get us situated with a room and going so far above and beyond ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. From the person who greeted us to take our luggage, to the valet, to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant and the gift shop (which opened up for us to get us meds in the middle of the night) to the manager who followed up even after we had left their hotel, every layer was kind, attentive and fantastic! They honestly made us feel like we were at home with family who was concerned about us. What a fantastic experience! T

Pros: I loved when I walked in the environment felt like I was in an expensive hotel. When we reached the room that's when everything surprised me. From when I unlocked the door. I loved the room set up. The couch with the chase attached. I fell in love with the beds it really made me feel like I spend so much on my room. I love the bathroom and kitchen area. Breakfast was great and the staff was eager to help. I will definetly come back over and over.
Cons: Their was only one thing I did not like that when I was about to shower it had hair on the walls and on the floor.
Pros: I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANY TRAVELER LOOKING FOR A GREAT HOTEL TO STAY AT A DECENT PRICE.
Pros: I loved the living room area with a bar, microwave, and refrigerator. The beds were excellent and comfortable - loved the bed spread.
Cons: I didn't really like the shower it was hard to keep the curtain inside so a lot of water escaped outside toward the toilet. Maybe have a slightly higher shower rim instead of a low one or even a tub/shower combo?

Pros: The BWP was extremely clean and felt comfortable. I enjoyed the layout of the room and the furnishings. The breakfast that was included was worth it. Not to mention the front desk was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The pool was so small and the weight room wasn't very big at all. But this wasn't a big deal at all.
Pros: Not much
Cons: The price of almost 200/night got me motel 6 like accommodations.
Pros: It was convenient to where I was working.
Cons: The room was dark and the lighting poor. I had a view out of my window of a wall. It was clean enough to my liking.
No one bothered to ask how my stay was when I left.
Pros: I was very impressed with this hotel. I rarely write reviews, but I was so impressed that I thought about writing one while I was still there! The pool was nice and clean and I wished that I'd had more time to enjoy it. So too was the spa. The breakfast was a complete breakfast that I could last all day on! Everything in the room was also nice, clean, and comfortable, and there was so much more I didn't get to take advantage of. Also it is in walking distance to the beach. The business center was well equipped and in good working order. The staff was nice and friendly.
Pros: It was 10-15 mins from the beach waterfront. The customer service was friendly.
Cons: The room we stayed in had no phone signal connection and it was on the first floor. The rooms were outside of the main building and the lower level is where we had no signal and had to step around to get a connection
Pros: The breakfast was really nice, one of the best continental breakfasts I've had at a hotel - everything you could possibly want including hot dishes that tasted freshly made. Always very clean and breakfast room staff were very polite. The pool area was nice, unfortunately it was just too cold when we were there to enjoy it. Located close to the beach and a number of nearby restaurants and other shopping.
Cons: The room we were in was supposedly a Queen with a sofa bed, but it was more like a Full with a sofa bed. My 3-year old didn't care about the comfort of the sofa bed, but an older kid might have been pretty uncomfortable on the thin mattress. Also, we had a few ants in the bathroom - might be a hard thing to control with 1st floor rooms in a warm climate?
Pros: This hotel is located centrally to shopping , dining, and the beach. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quite nicely appointed. The pool is especially nice.
Cons: The only thing I can even think of that could have been improved on is that the ice maker is on the 1st floor. That's a little inconvenient if you're trekking all the way from the far end of the 3rd floor.

Pros: It was right across from the marina. A beautiful setting. Convenient to restaurants and nightlife. The staff was very friendly. The room was immaculate and clean. I enjoyed my stay. I would highly recommend it.
Pros: The lobby, close location to Venice beach and the bar were quite nice. Staff is accommodating and nice.
Cons: Rooms and interiors of the halls were old, carpet is definitely old, and the lounge for elite members is tiny (cramped seating). Really small outdoor pool.
Pros: The service and staff were great - hotel is very nice!
Pros: Room was nice and clean
Cons: Parking for $37, valet only was a rip-off!
Cons: Parking fee not included in stay
Cons: Rooms not ready for check in

Grounds were beautiful and well maintained.
Cons: Price was high.
Room cleaning was late in the day.

Cons: Construction ongoing, room smelled like cigarettes, the layout of the room was bad.. there was a sliding door with a couch in front of it
Pros: They have a great buffet breakfast and good location
Cons: Small bathroom, had construction going
Pros: Breakfast, main guest house
Cons: Older than photos show, Room furniture is old and worn, AC didn't work in the first room we were put in, it sounded like the persons above us were going to fall thru the roof because of a weak floor
Good clean facility.
Pros: Good breakfast! Quiet location.
Cons: Laundry not available. The clubhouse was being remodeled. Should be done mid-February.
Pros: We have stayed there many times before.
Cons: It was being totally being rentravated. Noise all the time. Not at all like ad presented it.
Cons: They bought an old garden apt complex and opened it as Marriott too soon. This is not yet Marriot. Not even close.
Overall good experience.
Pros: The room was new and up to date.
Cons: There was one trash can in the room and it took me a while to find it. Their were no cups in the bathroom.
Even though there was construction going on and there were temporary buildings including the registration office there wasn't any excessive noise or inconvenience at all.
Pros: Best staff. Very courteous, accommodating and attentive.
Cons: Did not get housekeeping everyday but that seems to be the new norm with hotels.
Pros: Residence Inn is really good place for family, especiall with children. Well equipped kitchen and large size Refridge, microwave will be very helpful to cook for your family.
Cons: Currently hotel is renovating. So fitness center, place for breakfast is very small, and guest laundry can't be offered. Also, parking lot was not enough because of construction.
Pros: Breakfast and quick service on requests (ie: extra towels, crib, etc)
Cons: Tiny bathroom Not a private bedroom area from loving room even though pictures illustrated a door separating the bed from living room
Excellent location close to shopping and food. Very comfortable rooms. Nice and quiet.
Pros: Roomy, shower had great water pressure, love the kitchenette.
Cons: The WIFI was pretty poor in the room. Since I typically work while I travel, that's a pretty big drawback for me

Pros: The closeness to the beach and water and how close we were to Venice beach all the interesting people and places we saw was just amazing can't wait to come again
Cons: The only thing I didn't really like was the view from our room
Pros: We were planning to have our short, informal ceremony on the beach and then enjoy the rooftop; but, our view was so amazing, we had our ceremony right on our patio deck! Also, when I mentioned to Billy that we were getting married that day, he sent a bottle of champagne to our room! Unbelievable guest service! We will recommend the Erwin to friends & family.
Pros: We stayed here with a couple friends for a birthday weekend celebration. Jesenia was really nice and calles us when we were able to check in early. The rooms were great. My cousin checked in early but didn't get the king bed she booked. So later she called Jeff and was able to get a better room. A suite!
Cons: The rooftop lounge during the day was great. The bartenders was nice. At nighttime, the waitress we had was btichy. The lounge areas were nice but even for hotel fuests we had to reserve on opentable.com. the problem was we had a big group. They provide blankets so thats a plus but we didn't stay up there long. Lastly, Valet/parking was $32!
Pros: the suite was awesome! The rooftop bar was great. Blankets were clutch. Friendly staff!
Cons: The tiny sign on the door entrance in the corner.. Stating that there were chemicals in the building from which you could get cancer from.. Was not clear when I book the hotel that the building is a health risk.

Additionally, the hotels rooftop hangout, High Lounge, is the premier Venice Beach open-air lounge, where cocktails and the nightly sunset are the main event.
Cons: The room furnishings were fine but could use an update
Pros: Bathroom clean
Cons: AC/Heat very loud
Pros: Room was nice and beds were super comfy
Cons: Had a room cleaned and the cleaners dumped out multiple ash trays or dirty water in out bathroom sinkand left it like that, not such a clean place to brush your teeth after that.
Pros: I like to cleanliness and comfort level of the bed. I also used the gym and it was relatively clean in there as well and that's about where it ends.
Cons: The first thing when we walked in the room you could tell it hadn't been vacuumed entirely and there was a white towel slightly stuck to the floor in the corner next to the couch. Next was the tiny pool in the middle of the entire hotel. It only received sun light for a few hours in the day so it was chilly to get in even on a warm 80+ summer day.
Then the elevator went out for some reason. I guess it was just unfortunate for my family and I that we had a room right next to the elevator and the stairs were about 100+yrds from our room.
Then the sink water stank like rotten eggs/sulfur and when I brought it too the front desk receptionist's attention she just said, "I will make a note for the plumber to check it out after you leave."
Pros: Comfy bed
Cons: Tv was not high def...bad picture
Pros: The staff was courteous.
The bedroom was clean.
Cons: There was work being done on another room and when walking the hall it smelled weird.

The hotel also features two meeting rooms, an outdoor courtyard ideal for receptions, self-service laundry facilities, an outdoor pool, fitness center and complimentary on-site parking.
Pros: Location was interesting; good restaurants nearby; kinda edgy.
Weirdly, my hair loved whatever shampoo & conditioner they used (could also be the quality of the water itself?). I never had such silky smooth hair!
Cons: The facilities reminded me of a motel in the 70's. They tried to be trendy and hip, but it just didn't cut it. The room didn't feel private. The balcony overlooked the courtyard one floor below and there was a really bright light at night, so I didn't feel comfortable opening the curtains to let any light in. The bathtub had a no-slip matt inside, so it felt like a retirement home. Although relatively clean, the smell of the cleaning products was really old-school. Only thing missing was the coin-operated vibrating bed. No restaurant or room service, and breakfast in the morning was very basic.
My daughter and l had a wonderful stay at this hotel.
Our room was very clean and beds where comfortable.
The location is a short walk to the beach.
The staff was friendly, professional and attentive!
We were so happy with our accommodations that we extended our stay by two days.
Highly recommend !
Pros: Good location, near beach, many good eateries etc.
Excellent helpful staff, particularly Emad, who could not have been more helpful and deserves high praise.
The rooms have been done up but essentially it's a renovated old building.
Good parking underneath but $14/day.
All round ok but not cheap.
Cons: Being on a busy street there was considerable traffic noise.
The serve yourself breakfast was frugal and nothing to write home to Mum about.
Pros: I've stayed here before for a few days - great location and generally a very good place to stay.
However the room was a bit musty when I entered - not enough for me to want a new oom but noticeable.
Facilities are OK - bathroom very cosy though.
Would definetly stay again.
This European-style inn is inspired by the culture and history of nearby Venice Beach, and is located less than two blocks from the Boardwalk. Marina Del Rey is four blocks away.
Pros: Clean room and convenient location. Nice common areas. Mostly friendly and helpful staff. The best price for the overpriced area.
Cons: This location has under gone a half hearted renovation. The price doesn't match the quality. The layout of the property is odd and there are no rooms with good views. Some of the furniture is banged up. The water temperature is difficult to control in the sinks. Sewer gas smells would come from the bathroom drains at night. Lower levels can hear movement from upper levels.
Pros: Good location and staff was very accommodating.

Pros: Rooms need a rebuild, everything seemed so old, bathroom was squashed. Definitely not female business traveler comfort.
Pros: Good size room, tidy and quiet
Cons: Having to pay an extra fee for parking
Pros: The staff was fantastic and friendly

Pros: Good value for the price, Clean, comfortable, nice staff.
Pros: The location was unbeatable and after we found ants everywhere in the first room the staff was super accommodating and upgraded us to a suite right across from our first room so it was not a hassel for us to change rooms. Checked in on us after we moved which I thought was a nice touch. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable.
Cons: Ants EVERYWHERE in the first room. The vending machine was sold out of every drink?
Pros: For the cost, the location was good plus free parking really added to the overall value. It was an easy walk to the beach, to Hermosa pier and shopping. Nice neighborhood.
Cons: Noisy AC unit. Frig was turned off and had a puddle of water in it. TV was unplugged. Lighting was dim.
Pros: We were happy with the room its self and the location.
Cons: The staff was not very friendly or helpful and they said they offered a portible crib bit when we asked they said they had them but the janitor/maintence guy had the key so they didn't have access to them?
Pros: Perfect location and great value for the money. Nice staff and great location in hermosa! The rooms are updated and surpass the appearance of the outside. 100% staying here next time I come to hermosa, unless I just go ahead and move :)
Pros: Nice and friendly staff. Room always kept clean. Will come back
Pros: Very clean, very friendy, very comfortable, loved the ocean view, I will return again.

Cons: Why is there no breakfast included. It's not all about making money sometimes.
Cons: The mattress was very uncomfortable, did not sleep good at all. The mattress was very old and woke up with a soar back both nights. We booked another hotel the third night because of this. And the sofa sleeper was even more of a joke i felt bad letting my three year old sleep on it. No fan in the restroom, phone did not work, no sheets or pillows for sofa sleeper, a/c was not working and the tv cable was super slow it was almost like it was buffering or running on dial up internet. Book another hotel even if your spending a little more because you will probably be disappointed.
Pros: Room is clean friendly staff
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay, they were able to accommodate my early check in request which gave me ample time to rejuvenate and explore the town before peak traffic. Hotel is fairly priced, my room was very clean, comfortable, quite and lots of parking. I'll definitely stay again if I'm ever in the area again.
Cons: Not able to stay longer at this beautiful place.
Cons: Room next door's TV was on and the noise could be heard through the walls. We think they fell asleep with the TV on so the noise went on the rest of the night.

Pros: Staff in all areas was excellent, friendly and helpful.
Cons: The pool and area. Good amount of space but chairs in shade and really to heavy to move hot tub not clean. Was very disappointed in that aspect and would not stay there again if pool situation was same!
Pros: This is a great location. On major road near to LAX, beaches and downtown L.A. I got a good last minute rate on Kayak. There was renovation going on at the time and staff made sure they let me know and picked a room away from construction.
Cons: -I was traveling with children and there were no other families I saw
-many airlines (domestic & international) crews stay here overnight from LAX
-smoking hotel so you can smell the smoke wafting in the lobby and pool area, which was gross for my children to smell
-geared towards international visitors who like to smoke
-pool area on older side; did not make me want to swim in there with my children
-my room was not renovated yet, so it was feeling worn; bed was ok. I've had softer, better beds
-walls were very thin and I could hear everything in the hallway
-my key card into the hotel floor was not working twice, which is so annoying given I had small children and the lobby was a 5-10 minute walk away (with children, slow walkers!)
Pros: Good exercise facility, good location for me (close to the company I visit). Self-parking is nice. Many hotels in this area have the "hidden fee" of parking charges, up to $30 per night.
Cons: Where to begin. First off, the hotel is getting very old. The rooms are fundamentally small compared to more modern hotels. To the point that the bathrooms are very small. The vanity is tiny, and the only place for towel storage is within the shower (at the back). Also, the mirror had some strange black stains on it. Second bad thing was the "view". My room was at room level for another part of the hotel, so when you opened the sliding door, you were actually on the roof. And the view (other than looking at roof) was a wall. Maybe a roof and a wall wouldn't have been too bad, but throw in the 4 or 5 satellite dishes and it was pretty unattractive. OK, so pull the blinds and keep them closed. Except here's the worst part of all... The A/C unit sounded like a small dump truck at idle and hardly cooled at all. So to keep the room tolerable, I had to open the sliding glass door. But because you could walk in right off the roof, I had to close it every time I left the room, and then the room got hot and stuffy.
I'm an HHonors member, and I try to be loyal to Hilton branded hotels, but this one makes it tough.
Pros: The location was good and the facilities were OK. The staff was very good and friendly.
Cons: As a Hilton member I did not expect to put in a room with the smallest bathroom I have ever stayed in at a Hilton Hotel. The bed was way to soft and I woke up with a terrible back pain. The room was number 310 and I would hope that Hilton members would get better treatment than I received.
Cons: We had been assigned a room in the lower tower... Not sure is that my room is booked in a discount rate.
Pros: Excellent service and clean rooms. Also free self parking.
Pros: The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the area. Room was very clean. Bedding was very comfortable. Room service was fast and surprisingly affordable. Hotel is next to shopping, dining, movies and short drive to the beach.

Cons: some of the lights didnt work, like the vanity mirror in the bathroom. the tv wasnt in HD..wifi also scared me cuss it might charge $11.99
ice machine on our floor was broken as well.
Pros: Stayed here at the tail end of our honeymoon. Beautiful in-room finishes, modern yet charming. Ocean view rooms with views of a colony of cute barking sea lions, complete with sailboats passing by! Spectacular. Would stay again.
Pros: We love this hotel and this was our second stay in 4 years. We love everything about it and the staff is exceptionally friendly and wonderful.
Cons: The only complaint was this was booked through Kayak and we booked a "Premier Oceanfront Room King Bed". It was confirmed and stated on our confirmation in three different places. Upon arrival, they had us booked in a double bed oceanfront room (not premier which is the 2nd and 3rd floors and not a king bed) and they were adamant that was what Kayak booked us in. When we showed them the printed confirmation from Kayak they gave us the Premier Oceanfront King on 2nd Floor. Anyone booking through Kayak should absolutely call the hotel to confirm what they show you are booked in prior to arrival as obviously there are some issues there when booking through a third party like Kayak.
Cons: Parking and amenities fee
Pros: The lobby and seating area are lovely and a nice place for a quick breakfast or glass of wine in the evening.
Cons: The room categories are misleading: the hotel is behind a breaker wall and therefore on a canal not oceanfront.
Cons: Rooms, bathrooms and hotel need to be remodeled.
Pros: The room was spacious and had a wonderful view of the ocean. Very nice staff.
Cons: Room was very close to outside pool and jacuzzi and had to listen to people in the jacuzzi talking until midnight.
Pros: Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and the views are just breath taking on ocean side
Cons: Marina side room by parking lot on 1st floor. They need to build that up with plants for privacy. People walking by looking in, noicey from people and cars. We had the staff move us to another room or we were leaving. They almost lost a week long customer when all it would take are some trees, hedges and plants for privacy. You can't see the marina anyways from the 1st floor
Cons: Had to pay extra for parking, breakfast and Internet. Internet starting dropping every 20 mins one day even after paying. Lost my dry cleaning for three days. The phone did not work and I had to tell the front desk three to four times before it was fixed. The gym is tiny. For this price surely these should not be issues.
Pros: Valet attendants were great
Cons: Front desk employess very very very careless and non hospitable
Pros: The hotel looked as though it had been remodeled fairly recently. It was well designed and had a very cozy great room/lobby with a fireplace and a bar. The rooms were large, clean and very nice. We had an amazing ocean view and the front desk upgraded us for free. The restaurant across the parking lot is part of the hotel and was delicious. It was a great place to spend our 6 year anniversary.
Pros: We loved the very cosy 'livingroom' bar with fireplace and live music....and Baleen, the restaurant and bar, also with live music was very nice!

Pros: Great Location and staff and fellow travelers
Pros: Ir was ok for a budget place
Cons: didnt feel too safe in the hotel surroundings in the night...
Pros: The people at the lodge were really amazing. They were friendly and could answer a lot of questions. Dom is the events coordinator there at the hostel and he used to take everyone out for nightly events which allowed poeple to interact with each other. There were people from many different countries and it was interesting to share their perspective on things.
The beachside views was fantastic. The music around reminds you of san Francisco in the 60's.
They also have free breakfast in the morning, a separate room if you want to store huge luggage and a common room where people from different rooms can talk to each other during the day. At $35 per night, i think that its a good deal compared to the expensive hotels in LA
Cons: The spring beds were really not that comfortable. I didn't get much sleep. Also there is just 1 shared bathroom for 8 rooms which could get cramped up somtimes. Add to that, those bathrooms get clogged often. I also had to struggle in getting the door open as the key would not fit in completely. The vending machine is out of order.
