It is close to the Basilica dei Frari (the School of San Rocco) and few minutes walk from the Grand Canal. Car parking, if necessary, is pre-arranged by the management. Pros: The hotel has an unbeatable location as it seems to be in the middle of everything but a bit tucked away at the same time. The staff is very helpful and eager to make your stay as nice as possible.
Cons: The temperature cannot be lowered much during the winter so, even though is cold outside, the room can get very hot. I’m any case, we just opened the window a little and that fixed it

Pros: The location on the Grand Canal was very nice. They had a beautiful patio there. There was also a waterbus stop just at the hotel.
Cons: The room for which I paid over $400 per night was a small cell with a very high window which was useless. Told me this was their "standard room." For 50 Euro more they found me a "superior room". It had a window, but looked over a flat rooftop into a wall. Find out about the room before booking.

Pros: Situated in a more residential part of town - but only 10 - 15 min walk to all main attractions this hotel was awesome. Staff were ridiculously friendly. Place is like a 5 star hotel. Completely renovated - all high tech switches in the rooms.
Extremely cheap for what you get.
Will be only place I stay in Venice from now on!
Pros: Excellent service by very professional staff who were extremely helpful with all our needs. We had special religious needs on Saturday and the staff was very cooperative. The atmosphere was very special in this boutique hotel in Cannareggio area of Venice on the canal. Absolutely peaceful and serene atmosphere that made us forget all everyday concerns. We highly recommend staying here and we will definitely stay here again this summer when we return to visit Venice.
Pros: My husband and I recently stayed at the Ai More d'Oriente for 4 days and 3 nights in December 2014 and loved it. Here's what we loved:
LOCATION - The location was perfect... close, easy access to the vaperatto's (Venice's water taxis) as well as a short walk to the city center.
STAFF - The staff was super helpful, friendly and accommodating.
AMENITIES - Free wi-fi and breakfast.
ROOMS - Comfortable, clean, nicely decorated rooms. The rooms are small but 1. that's to be expected in Europe and 2. We didn't come to Italy to stay in the room so the size wasn't an issue for us.
Overall we felt we got an excellent value for what we paid. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Cons: The breakfast was a typical European breakfast. The coffee was excellent but the food options were not to our liking. However, it I free so not a big deal for us.

Cons: The staff was very rude. Not the standard for a 5 star hotel.
Pros: Great location, short walking distance from San Marco and nice shops and restaurants. Very close to the waterbus.
Very elegant, clean and breakfast was excellent. I will come back.
Cons: Everything was great
Pros: Location, location, location. Felt small & discreet.
Cons: I cannot fault it. (I did not have any meals there, however).
Located in Venice (Cannaregio), Ca' Sagredo is steps from Grand Canal and a 1-minute drive from Rialto Bridge. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and express check-in. Event facilities at this hotel consist of a conference center and a meeting room.
Pros: Everything, it was charming.
Cons: No points at all.
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, like staying in a museum. Having breakfast surrounded by frescoes was a unique experience
Cons: I asked the front desk to help me book a train to Florence the night prior to checking out. They told me that they could not do this for me, but not to worry as the trains don't sell out anyway. Unfortunately when we showed up at the train station, the train to Florence we needed was sold out ruining our plans for the afternoon. I stayed in two other hotels on this stay in Italy and in both the staff booked train tickets for me

Breakfast was poor.
This new hotel is surrounded by the ancient walls of a former kiln, in the heart of Venice's famous glass-making island, and overlooks Murano's Grand Canal. The 118 exclusive rooms boast elegant furnishings enhanced by Venini lighting. The communal areas house a permanent exhibition of museum works and Venini design pieces. The hotel has an elegant restaurant with a bar, overlooking a typical Venetian courtyard
Pros: Cleanliness and comfort of the rooms and good service. It's in Murano which is close to Venice and tranquility is great in this island but you are a bit far from moving in the vibe Venice, specially at night to go out for dinner is not very convenient.
Cons: a bit far from moving in the vibe Venice, specially at night to go out for dinner is not very convenient.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Located close to the waterbus stop. Modern design.

Pros: When u look at this hotel from outside u see it like one of venice typical building but from inside its very trendy and luxurious. The decor is amazing. The room we had was very comfortable and spacy and the bathroom was very spacy and clean. Plus the hotel is close to guglie station waterbus to airoport. The morning breaskfast was superbe :)
Cons: The most thing i didnt like was the internet service. It was very slow!! However it wasnt that big problem coz we didnt use the internet a lot.
With its heritage setting on Riva degli Schiavoni, Hotel Danieli dominates the Venetian lagoon with spectacular views of the Grand Canal and islands. Also overlooking the Palazzo Ducale, the hotel is just steps away from Ponte Dei Sospiri and Piazza San Marco. The three palaces which comprise the hotel date from the 14th, 17th and 19th Centuries: Palazzo Dandolo in Venetian Gothic style, once home to the noble Dandolo family; Palazzo Casa Nuova, previously the city’s treasury; and Palazzo Danieli Excelsior, featuring guestrooms with balconies overlooking the lagoon on its upper floors. The three palaces house a rich collection of precious art and antiques that play witness to the city’s history, blended with contemporary comforts to meet the needs of cultured global travelers. Essential to the Danieli experience is its Restaurant Terrazza Danieli and cuisine concept, a magical voyage for the senses which retraces the oriental influences of spice traders and blends them with ingredients from the lagoon.

Pros: A lovely hotel in a great part of Venice, near St. Marks square.
Clean rooms, nice breakfast.
Cons: Our standard room was tiny. We could barely open our 2 suitcases
up on the floor side by side at the foot of the bed and pass by to get to the washroom. The room was just bigger than the bed.
Pros: rooms very nice, location good....
Cons: staff very nice except for one person at the desk who soured our experience.

Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room.
Pros: Room was gorgeous and bathroom was perfect
Pros: Went to celebrate 20th anniversary. Stayed in a 3 star hotel in Venice before and this was certainly more posh and the price tag reflected that as well. Nice amenities that we were not aware of: breakfast was included at the restaurant, 30 minutes per room of private sauna, jacuzzi or steam sauna time per day. Hotel is a 5 minute walk to St. Mark's Square etc.
Cons: Staff are very well dressed and say the right words, but I never sensed any authenticity, warmth, friendliness, etc.. I asked for assistance on several occasions from different people related to getting to the airport, a restaurant recommendation, directions, etc and the responses were typically curt and robotic. The only exception was the porter/bellhop from the Philippines, he was great. I would expect more from a 4-star hotel when I'm paying $400-500 per night. It was as if they didn't like their jobs. The same experience was noted in the restaurant which was located in the sister hotel next door. Doubt I will return given the opportunity.

Pros: Smelled nice. Looked clean. Wifi. Reasonable room size. Staff took bags to our room.
Cons: They put us in our room before it was ready, so we got kicked out for a bit while the staff finished up preparations - this happened after recommended check-in time
Pros: Location (across the street from the train station, a 4 minute walk to the bus station)
Located in Mestre and a 7 minute train ride to Venice
Hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating
Room was large
Cons: Weird shower/bathtub design made showering a bit difficult to avoid splashing water on the floor
Pros: The breakfast was surprising - - many choices. The rooms were simple but well-equipped and very comfortable. Being just across the street from the train station was a huge plus for us.
Pros: Location was right across the street from the 20 minute bus or train ride into Venice. Rooms were spotless, spacious & well equipped. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was excellent & included in room rate.
