Great location, great price, excellent staff but needs updating
Loved the location, beachfront, pool and hot tub. Close To restaurants and walgreens/cvs. Staff very nice and accommodating. Hotel and room was clean and felt Safe.
Facilities and room are outdated like many of the other hotels in the area. The bed and tv we’re on the small size but we weren’t there to hang in our room. Walls are paper thin so you hear everything in the hall and adjoining room. No Mini fridge. Service at breakfast way too slow, not prepared.
The pool area was the main attraction it was clean. Loved that the beach was right behind and received beach chairs. The staff could have gave a little more direction on how this worked didn't know I had to actually go on the beach and see a representative to get the chairs.
My phone in the room never worked and requested it to be fixed 4 days in a row. Stayed for 6 days and never had a room phone. With this issue always had to go up and down to get whatever I needed or ask a question. The bathroom needs to be upgraded shower especially.
Worst hotel we have ever stayed at .
Walking distance to stores and beach. Pool and hot tub were clean.
This was our first time to Miami , this hotel is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at in our lives. 1) Ocean front room was view of pool not Ocean front trees are to tall don't waste your money. 2) You cannot adjust the room temperature in the upper rooms. We even called the desk , they refused. So they gave us another blanket. 3) Forget it if you want coffee pot in your room . They are a fire hazard. Must BUY coffee from lobby. No microwave. 4) Rooms are small and bare minimum to meet code. 5) Valet parking only 40.00 a day. They will not allow you to unload your car if you do not pay the valet parking fee. 6) Nothing is complimentary at this hotel you pay for everything. 7) Staff does not go out of their way to be friendly. They are bare minimum as well. Do yourself and your family a favor and skip this hotel it is not worth your money.
Acces to beach Pool/ spa
Beautiful Art Deco Charmer!
This is by far the best ocean front deal on South Beach! When you step into this beautiful Art Deco Delight, you feel as if you have stepped back in time, everything is original and has been beautifully maintained. Our accommodations were spotless, very clean and location is simply outstanding. We walked to everything! The hotel sits on the sands of the Atlantic Ocean and the board walk with a lovey pool and restaurant area. You can easily walk to Lincoln Rd and many other attractions. There is no doubt, you can feel the love and pride in this family owned hotel. Very refreshing for South Beach! We will be back! Thank you Richmond Hotel! Melissa
There is no parking but to be fare, that's typical for South Beach. Valet is 40.00 a day 2 beach chairs and umbrella can be rented by an outside company on the beach for 20.00 a day. The matress in the room was firm
The bathrooms are terrible
I expected more or closely equal to other nearby h
I like the location
The staff wasn't much help. No one opens the door. The bathroom was dirty and smelled like urine. The pool never had towels. The walls are super thin and you can hear someone snoring next door. Most hotels have a USB socket, not this one.
Average Stay
It's 2015, it should not cost $10 a day for wifi. It should cost nothing at all in fact. Room wasn't ready until after 4pm
Great value for the location
Location, location, location. Pool and direct access to the beach. Walking distance to all things south beach. Views. Price relative to other resorts. It was $100+ per night cheaper than the National hotel
It could have been a bit more updated but again, that is why it was cheaper. Shower could have been a bit cleaner and shower curtain and rod was the cheapest you could buy. Just a clear liner. Really no curtain. Bit of a musty smell but again, right for the price and not updated in a while so fine with me.
Nice hotel, good location, friendly staff
You can hear people on the hallway, it's kind of annoying especially in th morning when u sleep.
When people think of Miami Beach, they think of one of America’s most beautiful settings and the best part is this is just a small fraction of what makes this place so great. Whether you are a northerner escaping winter or an international tourist seeing what America is about, Miami Beach and just across the causeway in Miami showcases the diversity that makes America great in one of its most beautiful settings. To appreciate it all, staying at the Richmond Hotel checks all the boxes.
The Richmond Hotel is one of the great oceanfront art-deco hotels from a different time in Miami. Family owned and operated since 1941, this hotel provides a level of service that the bigger hotels just can’t match. With oceanfront views and a pool, you can relax in the style that best suits you, and with access to Ocean Drive, it’s very easy to enjoy all that Miami Beach has to offer – especially with the beach just a short walk from the hotel’s front door.
While the hotel does not have an in-house dining option, what folks enjoy is how they can walk down Collins Avenue or Ocean Drive to find some great eating and drinks. The Miami Beach scene is perfect for people who are night owls or those who love getting out during the day. The reality is this place has something for everyone in terms of dining and entertainment.
Staying at the Richmond Hotel is one of the best ways to experience The Magic City. Enjoy one of America’s best places by staying at one of the city’s top hotels.
