They didn't have the car we reserved and didn't of
Cons: The Miami Beach place is terrible. We've rented using Enterprise in other locations and it was good, but here it was different. They said they don't have the car we rented and "that's it". Didn't offer us another option, or at least another locations where we can go. They even told me that my phone was not valid.. I told them to try while I was there and they didn't want.
Very bad experience, will never rent with them again.

Living the mustang life
Pros: Rented a mustang for a very reasonable price, nice easy pickup great service from the staff, even took us home after dropping car off!

Cons: I rent a car for 70 dollars and when I was there I refused all the insurances ( I even signed a document where I made myself responsible for that) and then they took around 180 dollars from my account, I can understand that there are extra costs like tolls but 100 dollars? come on. I would like to have an explanation
Cons: They gave me a car with less than half a tank, I returned it with same amount, they charged me for fuel anyway! Gas tank cap was missing! Gave me wrong key to start. Then waited 15 mins while right car was brought around from the back. Car exterior had not been cleaned.

Cons: Car was not available (overbooking) and after showing disappointment was given a dirty, scratched and overall bad condition car. When car was returned (on time as per contract), I got the relevant receipt with the correct due amount but when I checked my account I saw a $ 175 surcharge. I have submitted a complaint on HERTZ's website and am still waiting for their reaction and refund.

Hidden charges, unclear extras, unhelpful dealing
Pros: Car was fine, clean, etc.
Cons: Having complained three times to Hertz since my return, and not being satisfied with the responses, I will now be writing to Kayak to ask you not to deal with them any more until the alter how they deal with customers. Rather than an expected approx $40 to be charged on collection, I was charged over $150 for things I did not understand and have struggled to have Hertz explain to me since. This was despite having a pre-paid insurance (via Kayak) that I showed at the collection desk and have also sent to Hertz since. They are frankly terrible to deal with and I will be writing to you with fuller details.

Pros: The on screen check-in "expert", Kathy, was excellent, very knowledgeable and clear.
Cons: The car's air conditioning conked out on the drive to Palm Beach from Miami. It seemed that the engine for this small car just was not able to handle highway speed and AC. However, interestingly, on the return drive, the AC worked fine. (Perhaps it just needed the 3 hour rest it had.)
The on screen person for the return processing, did not know that he was supposed to process returns -- he got up, went to see his supervisor, I think, and returned then knowing that he was supposed to process returns. He may have been new, but was clearly not well trained. Odd.
The car's back seat was rather dirty -- looked like the vacuum just missed it. Fortunately, we just needed the front seats.
Overall, I would not rent that particular car again, but the experience was mediocre, not terrible, in general.

Cons: I was told that the tank was full, but about a half hour into driving, I saw that I only had a quarter tank of gas. I know I should have checked, but I had no reason to question this.

Quick, easy, great value
Pros: Under $20/day for a full size Chevy Impala? That's a great deal. I just needed it for the day. Very easy and accessible location. Very friendly agent. All around a great experience.
Cons: 1- The gas tank was full, and I returned it with half a tank. Usually rental companies charge a small premium for the gas if you don't bring the car back with as much gas as it had it the tank when you got it, but I war HORRIFIED to learn that the cost of buying the gas through Budget$10/gallon gas through Budget was $10/gallon!!!!! So I had to take the car back out of the structure, and gas up, which ordinarily isn't a problem. However, I was visiting Miami during Art Basel, and traffic was the worst I've ever experienced in my live (I'm from LA). So that was a shame that I couldn't take advantage of the convenience factor of returning the car half full without paying $10/gallon for gas.
2- During the booking process, Kayak offered me insurance on the rental. It mentioned that the insurance was being bought through Alianz, the 3rd party insurance provider, but I presumed I would pay for this at the rental counter. In fact the insurance was pre-paid, and while it was cheaper than Budget's insurance at the counter, I wish I'd have had the option to buy this insurance at the counter.

Cons: No car! Owner apologetic but did not help our situation.
Cons: The lady wanted to put us in a beatle. I ordered 5 passenger car with two bags. She wanted to make us pay $70 more for a similar car. I showed her what we ordered and insisted she upgrade us if she didn't have what we ordered. After threats to call Avis and complain she then was able to find a car and keep the original price. Not happy with how she handled herself or represented the company. Your staff needs to be retrained. I will question if I will use your company again because of how we were treated.

Pros: I love everything.. we bought a 3 day rental for $50 on an economy size car and got there and was upgraded to. Kia Soul Crossover for no extra money.. what a value!
Pros: After our expirience in nola we figured that there would be some sort of extra payment, but they slapped 50$ of the price because we delivered in pne day before.

Cons: Checking out the car was a tedious process...more staff are needed at the Collins Ave. site.
We were not made aware of the additional $10 charge on our rental charge for tolls until we checked out the car.
Pros: His girlfriend's sympathetic look as she saw how frustrated we became throughout the experience. Though she spoke no English, she seemed to understand that something was very wrong.
Cons: -man at front desk (manager) was very rude and held up a finger to shush me while I was speaking to him (he'd picked up the phone while my head was down looking for my confirmation number)
-answered calls from both his professional AND personal phones while I was there with him (the only customer in his office at the time)
-took my card without first confirming the price of the rental car then seemed as if I was wasting his time by asking about it
-seemed frustrated by my questions about my rental
-when I explained that I would need the car to drive to another state, suddenly told me about a 1000 dollar deposit that I had to pay before I could get the car (and was about to charge my card without informing me) and when asked why I was not previously told of this charge, had no explanation for me (he was answering another phone call by this time)
-when I said I was confused and wanted to work things out, he gave me my cards back and proceeded to ignore me standing there at the desk until we left
