Pros: Beautiful, personal hotel for a special birthday occasion. Staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. The staff made contact before our arrival and emailed clear, easy directions to the hotel. Very central location. Wonderful, clean bedroom. Delicious fresh breakfast. Would love to stay again if we had the opportunity. Highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are all amazing and go above and beyond. The room is private and very comfy. Lovely bathroom w great hot water and pressure. An exceptional breakfast cooked and served proudly by the owner. A great location for everything really and close to Sant Angelo port means not lugging your suitcase over many bridges. Just 1 small one actually. This hotel is amazing and I can’t thank them all enough for everything. And the extra night in the same room st the last minute and the Prosecco.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly staff who were very knowledgeable. Breakfast was fantastic and room was tidy. Overall, perfect boutique stay in the heart of Venice. Thanks!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: An excellent boutique hotel in a perfect spot. Easy access from the water taxi. Clean, quiet, very helpful and friendly staff. Hard to fault at all. The room was perhaps a little small and dark but that seems to be the norm with the various hotels we have stayed in throughout Europe - you generally get what you pay for. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: Room a little on the small side but still comfortable enough.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect hotel for romance in Venice, great service, supreme breakfast. Location very good and central but in a quiet street. Bed very comfortable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great Breakfast Central Location Outstanding and really helpful staff

Pros: The property is a antique and phenomenal. Our suite was exquisitely decorated with antique furniture & plush upholstery. Breakfast was alright. The lady at the reception was a great help. If you want to experience the old world charm without the hassles of the old world, this hotel is the place to be. The toilet had not only a bidet in addition to a toilet but also hermes toiletries.
Cons: Unavailability of 24 hr room service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were amazing and the hotels interior is beautifully designed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional small royal palace with very accommodating and helpful staff, in a perfect location and with reasonable prices! Beautiful hotel, a true small palace with royal furniture, frescoes and paintings and Murano glass chandeliers throughout! A small dock for arriving via water taxi. Perfect location, right in between Rialto bridge and St. Marco's square. Abundant breakfast in a royal room or on a terrace. Staff was so helpful with accommodations and with instructions to where to go and what to do. Everything was perfect. We would definitely stay again!
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The title says it all. As a graduate of the best hospitality school in the World in Switzerland, I can only say that this hotel is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in so far. Upon arrival, the man at the reception was extremely unfriendly, not a single smile, very cold atmosphere. No attention to the client, they literally check you in and take your money check you out, which is shocking. They have no restaurant for lunch or dinner just some snacks at the bar... when I asked for bottles of water to the reception at night they said the bar is closed and that i should drink tap water, what kind of an answer is this? As I insisted I needed water and that this was unacceptable, the receptionist got us small bottles of water after long discussion, this is completely outrageous. Last but not least, during check-out, the lady that worked there morning shift at 10:30- 11am on August 19 2019 was extremely rude. She didn’t know how to use the credit card for check out and yelled at the reception in a loud voice that the credit card was denied when she was the one who did a mistake, and even if supposedly there was an issue that is absolutely no way to speak to the client, as a graduate of the best hospitality school in the world I can say that this is absolutely unacceptable behavior to speak to the client, please train your staff better, she was very unprofessional. Finally, the check out for the room was at 11 am, and we had booked the water taxi at 11:30. The same rude receptionist that worked there 10:30-11 am on August 19 2019 first told us that we could keep the room until the taxi came. As soon as we paid at the check out she out of nowhere says well if you can leave the room now it is better because I need it so take your luggage now: she literally kicked us out of the room until I told her that I wasn’t going to move until the taxi came as her behavior was unacceptable for 20 minutes extra to stay in the room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Classic Venice Hotel. Beautiful. Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Good location in a beautiful city. Had a fabulous time and the room was stunning. Loved the jacuzzi in the room. Really was a top hotel, our room was enormous and well above expectations
Cons: Breakfast wasn’t the best but I’m English and love a full English so don’t judge on my comment. It was more than adequate though. Also would have loved a pool but you can’t have it all.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room, Clean
Cons: Nothing to point
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and rooms were stunning. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is very good. It is very quiet for sleeping in the night. Room upgraded. Big surprise!
Cons: The A/C can't be turned off from the room. The ventilation of the room can be better.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our room was fantastic, bed was really comfy and the view from our terrace was stunning. All of the staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
Cons: An in house restaurant would be the only addition needed to make the hotel perfect in every way.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: staff really helpfull
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just loved everything, exceptional service, absolutely beautiful hotel, breakfast is unbelievable.
Cons: Out stay was too short.. ;)
8.2 Excellent
Pros: It was beautifully decorated in a classic style. It was befit to Venice. The staff were friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. We tried the classic and the delux room for 1 night each and both were great. The breakfast was delicious. The free drink at the bar was a nice touch with hors d'oeuvres hors d'oeuvre.
Cons: Internet was painfully slow often dropping to 0.50Mbps. The staff was helpful but failed to go the extra mile when asked about decade coffee for the room we were told they only had cafinated and couldn't give us decafe. The mattresses were extra firm and we prefer them on the softer side. The tv had almost no options for English speakers with no on demand movie option. There was no gym or pool.

Overview Reviews
A stay at Ad Place places you in the heart of Venice, steps from La Fenice Opera House and Grand Canal. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: the hotel was close to the main tourist places however also in a very quiet area. Safe to walk around to at nights. the breakfast was very nice and the room was spacious.
Cons: the bathroom / shower was a little dated and water did end up on the bathroom floor because of the design. but that wa the only niggle and not really an issue for us
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spot, hidden away from the hectic areas of Venice with wonderful helpful staff
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was great! Taxi was able to stop right next to the entrance. Walking distance everywhere! Great room! There was 3 of us, it was set up like a 1 bedroom apartment pullout couch in the living room & with one bathroom. Great toiletries, good towels, robes and slippers. The other part of our party was placed to the room across from us-very convenient!
Cons: bathroom was tiny, 2 people couldn’t be there at the same time. Breakfast choices were limited. Pancakes were displayed on an open plate and were cold. Coffee was only regular, no espresso or cappuccino. No veggies and just one choice of fruits for breakfast. If you are not quick in the morning you might need to wait for the table to clear to have a breakfast. 12 rooms in the hotel, but dining room can’t hold all guests at the same time.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent! 10 minutes walk from almost everything. Felt like we were in the heart of Venice as we could hear the gondola drivers sing from our room!
Cons: The airconditioner was quite loud when running and started dripping throughout the night which woke us a few times!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was wonderful. The staff went above and beyond. The bed and pillows were amazing! Fantastic service and location!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice romantic place. Very clean, staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The stuff, location, the size of the room
Cons: The noise of the sound of the aircondition.
6.7 Good
Pros: great staff wooden eaves in the room - gave it an old world vibe tea and coffee when you needed it
Cons: mosquitoes, limited breakfast room very dark
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great. Just minutes from all attractions. Hotel is small, unique in appearance and decorations. Room was just spacious for three, well appointed and, again, uniquely designed with fabric padded walls and other special elements. It is definitely not a standard hotel room, for those seeking something different. AC in room was good (but eventually leaked onto the floor). Staff was very accommodating and friendly. We were guided to Murano professionally by reception staff - great. Breakfast is on 3rd floor and one must climb the stairs but the lounge is beautiful and the selection is fresh and tasty. Price was more that fair so great value for money in a boutique hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lovely staff, excellent breakfast, very comfy bed and great room. Staff were all friendly and went above and beyond. Would stay again.
Cons: Good value considering it is Venice but was pricey. Decor slightly dated and tatty but all very clean. No bar, somewhere to buy drinks but not staffed.

With a stay at Baglioni Hotel Luna - The Leading Hotels of the World in Venice (San Marco), you'll be steps from St. Mark's Square and Grand Canal. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and a 24-hour front desk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location - footsteps from San Marco. Staff treated us like royalty. Without exception. They were so polite and went the extra mile, for example when we asked for help to find a Gondola ride at 11.00pm, the concierge personally took us through the streets to a place he knew would still operate at that time of night. The music in the bar was fabulous; the singer on Friday evening had the voice of an angel and had a great repertoire. The bar manager recommended the most amazing cocktail- it was blue and so refreshing - I forget the name but just ask for it. Breakfast is served in a beautiful palatial salon with walls adorned with frescos and Venetian chandeliers. Great selection and of the highest quality; fresh fruit, cakes, prosciutto, eggs, cereals; smoked salmon, smoked trout, juices, Prosecco and the best cappuccino I have ever tasted - ever. And to our delight we were offered as many cups as we wanted by the most cheerful staff. Our room was beautiful and elegant and in keeping with the Palace that it is. We had a dressing room with plenty of space, a good secure safe, a sitting room, and the most comfortable bed I have ever experienced in a hotel. The bathroom was sumptuous and stocked with lovely shampoos and the like and bathrobes and slippers. (Room 260).
Cons: Nothing at all.

Cons: Pricey but for the room size and Venise was still an ok value
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect hotel for holidays
7.5 Good
Pros: The Concierge and front desk staff were excellent responded to all requests and were highly professional
Cons: The web page suggests you can see the lagoon from terraces a key usp. This is actually a superior private area and is misleading. Breakfast was adequate although friendly staff didn’t explain what was and wasn’t included I’d have expected the choice of fresh cooked eggs for the price. Dinner outside was disappointing the chairs uncomfortable and without cushions meals ambience disrupted by passers by who almost knocked the waiter over.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Staff were good and helpful. Warm welcome. Got a complimentary upgrade. Good breakfast collection. Nice touch overall from all staff we interacted with.
Cons: Nothing at all.

Pros: Beautiful hotel with a lot of nice, old paintings etc. We really liked the style and atmosphere. The room was spacious and clean. Tv with a lot of options. The breakfast was delicious, lots to choose from. The breakfast lady was very friendly!! Better than the other staff. The location of the hotel is good, close to the bus station. 9.6 Excellent
Pros: Felt like we were staying in a castle. Perfect location. Direct bus into Venice in the Morning. Some good restaurants in the neigborhood. Pool area was great. Good breakfast.

Pros: Great pool area and very comfortable beds.
Cons: A/C in room could have been more effective
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Traditional features. Efficient and friendly staff. Comfort.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location and period features, the spa. The evening waiter was exceptional - he was professional and friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and made our stay lovely. Great to be able to use the hotel guest bikes but this facility could be much improved if they were checked regularly and maintained.
Cons: Surprisingly poor breakfast, given the credentials of the restaurant. Items had completely run out and were not proactively replenished. Breakfast range poor and not the quality you’d expect at a four star hotel. The service from some (not all) staff was lacking.

Cons: -
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, a fantastic breakfast and spectacular views and facilities. A very special place indeed. We will definitely come back.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent and the location is fabulous. Concierge Michael and Antonio top notch on a par with Claridges. The breakfast is outstanding. My only suggestions would be: the pool needs to be bigger, this would make the hotel exceptional. Also, staff at breakfast sometimes slow and chaotic if manager not on duty eg on a Monday. Finally, lots of mineral water offered in the rooms at night for free but in plastic bottles, please swap to glass and consider the environment. And the big draw back which could easily be rectified is they need to make a proper Bellini, currently not up to scratch - go to the Gritti or the Cipriani and bring back the recipie....

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel, staff overpassed our expectations, especially Narcis and the reception team. They supported us with all the requwsts, including locating some lost documents in the room. The garden facing Canal Grande is priceless. Our second stay here, and for sure the hotel of choice when returning to Venice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, great staff
Cons: None
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was supernice - they helped us find a really nice restaurant nearby. The location is great with a very nice rose garden where you can have breakfast in the morning with the view over the grand canal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful clean classic hotel in Venice .and good location. If you come to Venice by train the hotel is just 5-10 minutes by walk. I like the old building and modern inside. Perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect, the hotel is very authentic, with big beautiful rooms and a lovely patio. The breakfast on the terrace facing the water is a must, just beware of the pigeons.)) The staff went above and beyond and made our stay very pleasant.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in an excellent location. 500m from bus station, 200m from train station and also main Venice ACTV waterbus stop. The hotel is clean, rooms and beds are great. The air conditioning works well, but you do still get mosquitos in the rooms. Fact of life when it's hot! Breakfast is largely continental buffet, though scrambled eggs and small portion of sausages/bacon also available. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a nice garden area which is right at the canal side, it's great to have breakfast there also (watch the pigeons though!). I'd definitely stay again, and no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Venice.
Cons: I bought a bottle of beer at a local shop and drank it in the garden, only to be set upon by someone from the hotel remonstrating that it wasn't allowed, I HAD to buy drink from the hotel bar. My position remains that I wasn't in the bar area, I was at the bottom of the garden. I guess it is typical though of all of Venice, where tourists are fleeced at every opportunity, be warned when travelling to Venice!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The terrace, the garden and that a water taxi can take you directly to the hotel
Cons: Nothing at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfy, room was spacious, staff was friendly and location was excellent!
Cons: Always hard to find the bartender.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Cooked breakfast always welcomed and they didn't disappoint..The room was always clean and immaculate despite me forgetting to put clean room sign out.
Cons: Prefer crispy bacon..but can't complain. Also would like to see the breakfast fruit covered.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff and hotel position

Pros: Hotel was in perfect location, lovely breakfast room and rooftop terrace for evening - what more do you need!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location. Despite being right in the middle of the hussle and bussle, inside the hotel was very quiet and relaxing. The room has an amazing view onto one of the quieter canals. The room was clean, bed really comfortable and bathroom had everything you may need.
Cons: Cannot fault it
8.0 Excellent
Pros: great location. Great breakfast.
Cons: lunchtime - bar was not covered due to dining room activity and so the wait for a snack was quite long. Saw people wait and then leave. Water taxi booked easily but no concept of sharing at all - therefore very (unrealistically ) expensive even for Venice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, private water taxi port/dock and everyone who works there was so kind and helpful.
Cons: Only thing I didn’t like was the buffet breakfast hours were only until 10 am. I prefer brunch and I typically like to eat at around 10:30 when I am on vacation. Because of all the sightseeing and walking around to find gelato late at night :), I like to sleep in later.

Pros: It was very wheelchair accessible for someone who cannot walk at all. I was able to have an independent shower and the staff are super friendly and open to improving their facilities even more. They have the right attitude!
Cons: The only fault was the hair dryer was too high to get down to use but once down off the hook not an issue.

Pros: All great as always

Pros: It was close to Mestre station. The restaurant was amazing, with Daniel as our waiter gave us excellent recommendations for wine with dinner. I highly recommend eating here!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great and convenient location near Venice Mestre railway station. Friendly staff. Close enough to supermarket. Frequent and cheap trains to Santa Lucia. Relatively silent place in comparison to main tourist routes in Santa Croce and San Marco. Amazing place to stay if don't want to overpay for hotels on main island.

Pros: Breakfast was great and hotel room was superb. Best hotel i stayed at in Italy. Room 101 suite is the one to get. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staing in venice. The restaurant at the hotel was amazing as well 10% discount
Cons: The only thing i did not like was the room was not ready. To be honest though that happens everywhere so what can you do.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was wonderful, location right in the heart of Venice everything was perfect
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a fabulous location, very close to St Marks Square and in a lovely area with boutique stores. The breakfast was great - I am coeliac and they offered me plenty of GF options. The staff were very helpful, professional, funny and polite. I used their private transfer service from the airport and back again which although is expensive, for me was well worth it - hassle free and the private speedboat was great - kids loved it and sped the whole process up. I would very much recommend this hotel.
Cons: Only minor thing was for us, the beds were a little uncomfortable but it was a small thing.
7.1 Good
Pros: Place of the hotel.
Cons: No kettle in the rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The perfect place to stay while visiting Venice! Close to everything, wonderful staff who went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. We felt completely spoiled! Wonderfully romantic room and delicious breakfast in the morning...would definitely stay again!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room was fantastic! Very big, big bathroom, and it was old style Italy which we enjoyed. The location was fantastic! 3 min walk to St Marks Square - amazing! Breakfast was the best we had in Italy! We would definitely stay there again! Ray Charles actually stayed there!!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and facilities were great. Food for breakfast also very good. The bar and restaurant are both very good!! Great service. Great quality. And ask for Vincenzo in the restaurant. He's awesome! He and all the staff work hard and together to make your experience special.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very helpful and very attentive.
6.3 Good
Pros: I loved the rich breakfast in the outside garden. The location was amazing and very close to the center, at the same time the room was quite.
Cons: - The photos and description of the room by booking.com has nothing to do with reality. I booked a classic 3 beds room. However i got a room with double bed + sleeping sofa, which was not even ready for a 3rd person!! I told them that i didn’t book a room with sleeping sofa since we are 3 adults and by booking it was mentioned that the room has double bed + single bed. The solution was: they gave me a smaller room and through a single bed in the middle of the room. I had to wait almost one hour to get this ugly solution at 11 pm ready. They promised to investigate in the morning, but no one talked to me as nothing happened. At the evening when I entered my room, I found a nice basket of fruits in my room although I left the sign (don’t disturb) !!! Who does enter a quest room without his permission and with clear sign Not to disturb? We had our private belongings everywhere!! Such an action is unacceptable for such a prestigious hotel. - The toilet was not that much clean since I found hair on towels from other quests! - The receptionists are very arrogant and not even saying good morning or good evening. I said twice good morning without getting a reply! Small things but give you the feeling you are not welcomed. - If you want to use the iron, they will not send it to your room like all other hotels, because of security reasons!! No idea what that means. You have to run around the hotel by yourself and get in the basement to open a very small room where the iron is. Note: We have been in the 3rd floor! 3 nights I did not sleep well on that uncomfortable bed the gave. They made my first visit to Venedig the WORST EVER. The funny thing is: they didn’t even ask me like all other hotels in the world by check out how was my stay in the hotel. Because they simply don’t care. It is summer and high season and your satisfaction will not change anything. I visited 4 hotels in Italy in 2 weeks. All of them were 4 stars hotels.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Location and very friendly staff at the reception. Good air conditioning, clean room.
Cons: -a little bit old furniture and stile in the room -staff at breakfast time not as helpful as other hotels, or at the reception of this hotel
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location, near St Marks Square.
Cons: Room was supposed to be three single beds but was a large double plus a single. Noisy room over restaurant with music. Dark, old-fashioned room and furnishings. Old-fashioned bathroom fittings and no ventilation except the window. Generally unfriendly staff (except the chamber maid). Mediocre breakfast. Disappointed, especially at the price. Would not stay there again.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room very clean excellent staff close to all main attractions with an exceptional restaurant
Cons: The bath water was not hot enough, more lounge space

10.0 Excellent
Pros: So tastfully decorated and comfy! Nice large room and beautiful bathroom. Best hotel I've ever stayed in.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice clean room and good breakfast.
Cons: I booked a deluxe triple room and it was stated on the website that there would be three single beds inside the room. At the time I checked in, I found one double bed and a small extra bed in the room. The room was so crowded that there was little space for walking. Then I came back to the reception, the staff who named Eduard(I apologise if I spell your name wrong) just refused to even separate the mattress and said the only thing he can do was to offer one more bed sheet. The same time, another guest met the same situation, and his colleague said they will separate the bed for them immediately. I can’t understand how could this happen. Please give your reception staff some more training. Because I believe treating the guests with different nationalities equally is the basic manner of reception. The reception is the first image of your hotel which didn’t give me a nice impression.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was great - having stayed in St Marks square and the Lido on previous trips I chose this area to be close to the cruise terminal and still with plenty to do - it was a perfect location for my needs with lots of fab restaurants and shops but quieter and better value than the tourist traps
Cons: The decor was lovely and it had modern furnishings without being too minimalistic - it is a similar style to my own tastes so was lovely
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a terrace suite with a jacuzzi which was a nice to relax in with a bottle of complimentary Prosecco! The room was nice and cool, temperature controlled by the hotel but we had no issue with that, we were comfortable. Bathroom was nice and modern (although the toilet wobbled a bit I thought I was going to fall off!) Location is fat from the main plazza, but it is well connected by waterbus (when you get the hang of it! We bought a 3 day ticket from a machine located by the Rialto bridge and can get on and off as much as you want, but can also buy single tickets on the bus. ) Breakfast buffet was incredible! One of the best I’ve ever had, so much choice (fruit, full English, cold meat, cakes, every kind of fruit juice you can imagine, tea, coffee, even Prosecco) Delicious! Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: We stayed in a suite, the room itself could do with a bit of updating, looked a bit tired, especially the balcony area and jacuzzi. Enjoyed some lovely cocktails but service was extremely slow.
7.5 Good
Pros: staff is friendly, location is nice, breakfast is very good
Cons: the colour theme is very dark, especially in the corridors I realise it is a style issue but it is too dark in my opinion.

Pros: New, modern furnishings, clean. We had a beautiful room with a canal view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First of all allies it was a wonderful and let us check in four hours early. That was extremely nice and unexpected.
Cons: The hotel, the location, everything about it was amazing. Our room did have a little bit of a moldy smell to it but I think that's because they turn the air off when you leave and of course they are on the water. Again, I highly recommend this hotel it

9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is situated on an island and is accessible by water taxi or by the courtesy shuttle boat from St Marks square and they are regular throughout the day, on arrival we checked in and headed to rooftop adult-only pool, the attendant made ready 2 lounge chairs and we sat with the most amazing view of Venice and it really was all the sightseeing we fancied doing after travelling for days, It really was special.
Cons: As it was on an island and a resort hotel it might have been good to have some entertainment on in the evening, it may be so but not in the evenings we were there.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was good.
Cons: My checking in experience was no so pleasant.
7.1 Good
Pros: 1. comfortable shuttle service to Venice 2. good breakfast 3. nice and helpful staff 4. clean rooms
Cons: 1. Hotel and interiors are typical for the brand - beautiful and unique neighbourhood of Venice is completely untapped 2. rooms are cosy but typical and not well decorated for one of the best hotel 3. everything is expensive only because is Marriott (not because it is good) 4. You pay for the brand not for quality 5. You have to pay for the wi-fi in rooms (ridiculous at the price of the room)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location - on its own island. Great facilities. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Cons: Bathrooms look a little dated compared to the room itself. Family pool was not as clean as it should be.

Overview Reviews
With its heritage setting on Riva degli Schiavoni, Hotel Danieli dominates the Venetian lagoon with spectacular views of the Grand Canal and islands. Also overlooking the Palazzo Ducale, the hotel is just steps away from Ponte Dei Sospiri and Piazza San Marco. The three palaces which comprise the hotel date from the 14th, 17th and 19th Centuries: Palazzo Dandolo in Venetian Gothic style, once home to the noble Dandolo family; Palazzo Casa Nuova, previously the city’s treasury; and Palazzo Danieli Excelsior, featuring guestrooms with balconies overlooking the lagoon on its upper floors. The three palaces house a rich collection of precious art and antiques that play witness to the city’s history, blended with contemporary comforts to meet the needs of cultured global travelers. Essential to the Danieli experience is its Restaurant Terrazza Danieli and cuisine concept, a magical voyage for the senses which retraces the oriental influences of spice traders and blends them with ingredients from the lagoon.

Pros: The bed was very large, the hot tub was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious. The room looked very authentic and we felt like royals. The staff was very nice and even let us leave our bags behind after checking out so we could do some sightseeing without having to carrying our luggage around all the time.
Cons: We read on booking.com that there would be a nice view onto the water. This was however absent.

Pros: The room had a chandelier, beautiful view of the garden, and a large bathroom. Good breakfast.
Cons: The staff was a little indifferent, except the porter.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nearly everything but one very big negative!
Cons: When we first arrived in the beautiful room We couldn’t get the beside light to work. When I shifted the bedside table table a little the badly designed light fell over and smashed immediately. I was then told I would have to pay €120 for the light or the police would be called. I was willing to pay something for the light but felt that it was unreasonable to be asked to pay €120 for a light that 1. Didn’t work in the first place. And 2. The base broke in the process of me trying to fix it. I paid the full amount on checking out as any further delay could have caused us to miss our flight.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location Clean comfortable spacious room Friendly staff
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My mum and I enjoyed our staying at the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was well-equipped. The choice of food at breakfast time was rather good. The vaporetto station is close to the hotel. The city centre is 15 minutes of a pleasant walk from the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is gorgeous and the location was just right with a fair walking distance to popular spots. The breakfast is good and staff are exceptional. The hotel sits right along the canal and it is a shame that we did not get a room with a view of the canal as it would have been an amazing view.
Cons: Though the cleanliness of the room was good, the only issue I had was that there was a lot of dust around the aircon unit and when we used my partners hairdryer, dust would blow everywhere. Other than that, no issues.

Pros: Location was fantastic, near everything but without the noise.
Cons: Our room was a little dark & the window opened up into a very small enclosed area so made it a little claustrophobic.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is 2 minute walk from st Marc square once you know where you are. We booked a canal view room and we could see the bridge of sigh out of our window. The staff was helpful and got our room ready early because my toddler daughter was very tired after a long travel day. Hotel staff also gave great food recommendations. We did the hotel organized water taxi tour on the grand canal, which departs and arrives from the hotel door on the canal. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommend!

Cons: No real outside space for a drink by the canal!
7.4 Good
Pros: A lovely hotel in a great part of Venice, near St. Marks square. Clean rooms, nice breakfast.
Cons: Our standard room was tiny. We could barely open our 2 suitcases up on the floor side by side at the foot of the bed and pass by to get to the washroom. The room was just bigger than the bed.

Pros: The best thing about hotel is it’s entrance being directly accessible by speed boat (water taxi) & historic San Marco square is behind & hardly 5-7mins walk

In Venice city center, in a location that is extremely quiet but close to all the main attractions of the city, the 4-star Hotel Bisanzio occupies an ancient 16th-century palazzo that was once the home and workshop of Alessandro Vittoria, one of the most important Venetian sculptors of the 16th century and a student of the great Jacopo Sansovino.Antique open beams walnutwainscoting, precious marble, Barovier&Toso Murano glass lamps and antique and modern furniture: all carefully-chosen
10.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast good staff very nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall it was in the good location and the staff were nice.
Cons: Buffet place seems little small to move around as we have to give a way to other customers by moving from the chair. Better management of chairs would help. Also, the emergency pull in the restroom could be written with red and place in such a way that customers will not pull thinking as a light switch, as I did that :))
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was very good, and easily found. Room was OK in size, and bathroom pretty spacious and well equipped. breakfast was ok with nice professional team. good wi-fi
Cons: The facility has a lot of things falling short of the 4 stars hotel it presumes to be: reception is ok but very cold attitude. They will not go the extra mile in any circumstances (like when we left at 7:05 o'clock we could not get a cup of coffee because dining room opens at 7:15) - come on!! and many other examples. Room was ok but outdated, curtain full of stains, a bit smelly unless you open the window. A very small tv without proportion to the size of the room and an unreasonable distant from the bed. TV set itself very cheap and inferior in quality and sound, hardly any foreign channels. bed was bumpy (probably old mattress, hence not so comfortable, blanket was put on bed with no cover or blanket case. No complementary water or any other perk in a very expensive superior room, which is really odd and unlike what is commonly acceptable. Coffee kit in the room- really of poor quality and miserly selection. so when it comes to value for money- there is a huge gap!! they charge way too much money for what they give.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff
Cons: Nothing everything good
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: Staff is VERY unfriendly. Room was very outdated. Mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable. Bathroom shower was not working properly and it is very uncomfortable to take a shower in it.

Pros: Good location comfortable and clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, near enough to san marco but away from the crowds. Room was large for our family, located off a quiet square so was quiet. The AC was excellent, so we had great nights of sleep in cool air. The morning supervisor at the front desk was extremely knowledgable and professional and ensured that we had what we needed. I cant think of any way our hotel experience in Venice could have been better.
Cons: All was good
9.6 Excellent

Pros: Best room we had in any of the cities in Italy. Very come! Loved the location with interesting grounds to walk around. It was close to good restaurants and easy access to airport. Despite closeness to airport, it was very quiet.
Cons: Nothing! All was great!

6.7 Good
Pros: The staff were very helpful, and it was incredibly clean. A fantastic starting point for trips to venice and very easy access to airport bus every half hr just outside door , fantastic.
Cons: Nothing to do in Tessera itself , if no transport.
7.3 Good
Pros: Large room, TV worked well, everything worked.
Cons: No hairdryer, even though continental breakfast was included and we had to rise early for flight. They did not offer to either compensate nor provide it to us. Also preferred cash to credit card which was inconvenient and troublesome at the end of our trip.
4.3 Okay
Pros: We stayed there because it is close to the airport & we had a 7 a.m. flight. Setting is pretty. Room was large.
Cons: Difficult to find as there is no sign out on main road. 2 women were talking @the reception desk when we arrived, one behind & the other in front. We thought the one in front was another guest, so we didn't interrupt. The woman behind the desk looked at us, but said nothing. After several minutes they finally slowed down & we said that we had a reservation & proceeded. Turned out 2nd woman worked there also! Didn't tell us that the gate would be locked in the a.m., how to open it & where the drop box is, not what we expected in terms of customer service. Good thing another guest was leaving @the same time & knew how to get out. (Scaling the gate w/suitcases wouldn't have been easy.) Just so you know it cost 15 E to airport- 5 min. away!
5.7 Okay
Pros: Close to airport. Staff was pleasant. Nice landscaping. Room was large with plenty of closet and drawer space.
Cons: Staff not always available. No phone in room. Breakfast only mediocre. Taking bus from Venice it was difficult to find to stop to exit.

5.2 Okay
Pros: Lovely gardens. Close to the airport; no airplane noise. Good breakfast. Large room. Bathroom is large, modern, and well equipped. Owner spoke no English but was very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: The a/c was terrible. The fan when placed on the highest level barely blew any air. The temperature dial when put on the lowest level did not make any difference. The room was uncomfortable warm -- day or night. I would not stay at this hotel during warm/hot weather.
4.4 Okay
Pros: new spacious room; pretty surroundings
Cons: v. limited facilities; despite proximity to airport, no facility to help us get there at a fair price
6.8 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff, beautiful gardens, convenient for bus into Venice which was only 15 minutes away.
Cons: Did not like having no door between bathroom/toilet and bedroom.
