Wonderful

The stay was great and the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, particularly the manager Fatima. The only problem was Kayak. This is the 2nd time I've booked a property through Kayak and then arrived at a hotel where the booking was never sent. While trying to sort things out I was called by a 3rd party site kayak used and they told me they never sent the booking to the hotel so they ...

Very good

Kelly, May 2024

The location is perfect, close to Central Park, the museums, and great dining. The lobby and bar/cafe areas are beautiful and roomy. But the rooms are very cramped and the TVs are outdated with only cable as an option. However, if you’re there like most, to be out in the city, then the rooms are just great for crashing and a shower. CVS across the street is perfect for buying snacks and other nece...

Beware of the cost. This hotel added an "urban fee" of $40 per night. For what? Coffee and water? No transparency at all. When you check in (we got there at 8PM) you sign the agreement and they don't tell you nor do they advertise in any way that the rate is REALLY, PLUS $40.00. If a hotel wants to charge you (just for example) $200.00/night- then say so. Don't advertise $160.00/night and then whe...

Cons (-) It was freezing in room and washroom. I turned up heat and still the cold air from the window and washroom were cold Something wrong with that room . I never had that problem before.

Pros (+) Location

Cons (-) Room had no heat in December! When dealing with this, staff was unresponsive and slow in communicating about a room change. Very unprofessional.

Robin, Apr 2017

Pros (+) The overall feel of the hotel was very unusual, I felt a bit like a genius going back to my secret speak-easy lair in the 80s in an alternate steam-punk universe. The feeling of the hotel is loudly industrial modern.

Cons (-) The industrial modern feeling of the hotel left everything feeling cold and dark, making it hard to really ever feel "at home"
