Decent hotel with poor service
Lobby was plush and rooms were ok.
Waited for 30 mins to catch a lift in the morning to come from the rooms to the lobby. They don’t have enough lifts to serve rooms. Made us change the room at 12am in the morning because our bathroom was flooded. Waited for 1 hour in the middle of the night with or bags packed and no one came to give us the room. I had to go to the lobby to sort it out. Didn’t even bother to apologise.
The room was extremely clean and the location was amazing
better coffee in room
TV was amazing. Beds were comfortable.
Refrigerator/microwave in the room, bathtub needed no slip strips, ac was not able to keep the room cool. It was set on 65 at one point (which would normally freeze us) and the room was warm and humid
Friendly staff, club lounge was great
Check in was a little slow
Great Value, Great Location, Great All Around
I booked a room last minute after trying to save a few extra dollars staying at a nearby hotel. Felt like I was staying in a palace at the Sheraton in comparison to other place. Everything is top notch and I’ll only be staying here in the future.
The pillows could be made with down.
Beware the "Destination Fee"!
It was close to the office and other amenities. Other than that, it was pretty disappointing for the money.
The new elevator system was a joke. Ten minutes for a lift is far too long. The room was very small for the price. I could barely move in the bathroom. Also, the hotel and Kayak failed to disclose the $50/night "destination fee" that is tacked on at the end of your stay even if you prepaid for the stay. This charge is borderline larceny for the lack of value provided. I'm contemplating a charge back to recover the money due to the exorbitant and hidden nature of the charge.
Rooms too small Shower with curtains very uncomfortable
Location and bar
Needs a lot of refurbishing. Walls are paper thin and were woken up each night by gents next door. No free water as promised. VERY crowded
Hotel was very average, and way overpriced for what they offer
Location Bed was comfortable. Complimentary Internet.
Very Noisy, difficult to sleep, from indoor sound and outdoor sound. Small rooms High prices for items in the room without a pricing list. Difficult to connect to the internet in the rooms. Many taxes on top of the agreed per night fees
Pros and Cons
The location was good, and price wasn't bad for NYC hotels.
The staff at check-in were very rude. The room was tiny, the bed was not very comfortable, and the windows were so thin or poorly sealed that we could hear the street noise (even on the 20th floor) so loudly it sounded as if the windows were open. The walls were very thin too as we could clearly hear voices in adjacent rooms. The hotel restaurant felt very low budget.
From our friendly greeting at the front desk to room service everyone top notch service ! Highly recommend !
The matress was old not comfortable and making a squeaking, and the parking was very expensive and i have to wait to 12 minutes for my car , the staff didn't care when i told them my wife pregnant and she can't be on her feets for long times, i travel a lot and have been in the sheraton in too many countries but that was not what I usually got , not worse my money.
