Rooms were dirty, ac wasn't working in one of the rooms, hotel smells like weed
Cost effective, not too far from the strip and not too far from Freemont, perfect central location if you have activities planned for both. There were a LOT of kids and families here, not the greatest place if you're two single lovebirds wanting to take advantage of Vegas's openness to young love and cheap alcohol. (Thankfully we aren't the type to indulge too much.) We didn't have a chance to stop by the restaurant inside, but they had everything for great prices and it would have been immensely convenient if we didn't already have food plans. Beds were cozy. It was quite a long walk from where we had to park to where our room was. The floors were old and uneven. Alright for sober strolls, a little tricky when tipsy! It was also difficult to get in coming from one of the directions. Shower was inconsistent with heat, but they were roomy. Plugs could use replacing, the one on my side wasn't strong enough to hold my charger.
Wish I could have had a smoking room to enjoy myself a bit more inside the room.
Staff was horrible, didn't offer extra towels or bring more towels the next day Breakfast ended early
The rooms are old and dirty.
lot's of noise
Price. The overall appearance of the building.
They have bed bugs under mattress they have Roach's all over the hotel it's just a nasty place .. Prostitute's and pimps live here do not book for no reason at all .. Nothing to like about this place disgusting
GREAT HOTEL. FRIENDLY STAFF. AMAZING CAFE. ROOM WAS NICE AND TIDY. BED WAS COMFORTABLE. FREE WIFI. GREAT PRICE. CAN'T BEAT IT!!!! The sliding door in our room was a bit difficult to open. Other than that nothing at all. VERY CLEAN ROOM.
The architecture of the hotel the mall the rooms and security where seen. I felt safe thank you I also like the tower and mj live show. The pool closed on the 24th floor.Key card did not always electronicly work on command
Didn't like the shower - not enough water pressure- bad nozzle- seemed like it was spitting
The room was decent, with a comfortable bed. It was cheap at $50 ($80 total, gotta love the $20 "entertainment fee" the casino hotels get to charge. The hotel/casino is located in one of the hoods on Las Vegas, and that is not made apparent when reserving the room. It is surrounded by homeless people and by-the-hour hotels as you pull up. For something as iconic as this building, we could not believe the condition of the surrounding area. This led to some very interesting clientele. Multiple times I was approached by coked-out looking people asking how long I was staying and whether I wanted to "party", inferring that they could supply me with drugs if desired. The staff were friendly, but most of them obviously only worked here because they did not have the intelligence to work at other casinos. I had to correct them on payouts multiple times, and they just acted like it was completely normal. For beds, we got two queens, and one of the comforters had a stain on it so we slept on the other bed. The shower towels had rust stains on them, so we had to pick and choose which we used.
The Italian restaurant right outside of the North elevators was excellent! I stayed in the North tower, which was terrible. The shower head was rusty, there was paint chipping off the door of the bathroom, and you had to literally climb to get in the tub. The Asian BBQ restaurant in the hotel took over 45 minutes to provide mediocre food. Literally luke warm. The waitress then said she'd bring egg rolls for our wait and never brought them.
When checking in they asked if I would like smoking or non smoking. I told them non smoking. I get to my room and it was a smoking room. I called down to the desk and they told me to come down and they would take care of it. I had to stand in line for 45 minutes and wait for them to get done with another couple.
My room was clean. They seemed to offer a few amusement park activities and included free access to the top of the tower. The area around the hotel is depressing. You will have to drive/ride to get to see The sights. My room was VERY outdated. Seemed like a 70's room. The only modern feature was a flat screen. No easy access to charging ports and was way too expensive for what you get. Understandable because it was during the largest convention of the year. SEMA.
having buffet available Poor housekeeping, run down look to casino, etc.
I loved the staff and attractions. I didn't like our room quality. The beds were very uncomfortable.
If you are only going to do one thing at this hotel, then do the sky jump, do it at night under the lights and it is an amazing experience, such a rush and a thrill! No coffee in room, no mini fridge. Internet was "iffy".
The room was nice, view of the lower roof top and a partial view of the strip. The Roxy dinner and buffet was good. View on top of the tower was grand. Attended the MJ Live show, and the Red neck majic comedy show, both very good. I arrived a bit early for check in at the registration desk. I was in formed to wait 20 minutes or pay $10 dollars for early check end. I have never had that experience before, usually I am given a room. I asked for them to wave the "20" minutes and was told no. I paid extra for a better room, and went to my room and left my luggage there. I left to retrieve a item in my vehicle. Upon arrival to my room was a stranger, so I called security. The man turn out to be a employee, with out having any identification display and I was startled. Upon looking at security and thier staff, Some displied ID, and some didn't. I don't know who they are, Id would be nice. The employee in question had his ID inside his shirt pocket. His boss showed me his ID on his waist line, it was blank, and that is when he pulled his Id out of his shirt. I was upset, they gave me a room under maintenance. The security lady at one point told me to leave and i was being evicted. I informed her I was the one who called security, and told her she can leave. At that point, I called the hotel manager. After a wait, security departed and I has given a better room, and the security lady showed me my new room and I thank her. I had a hard time sleeping, due to the loud (So Loud) music coming from the pool area. I was informed it was the DJ at the pool. They could not do anything. I do not plan to return their. In my humble opinion, unless you like drama, Vegas has so many places to choice from.
The nice rooms, the entertainment (rides)
I liked how it's just north of the strip and close to the downtown/Fremont st. You can find great deals for this hotel. Don't expect whole lot but it's fairly clean and a neo-classic landmark. I surprised how decent the rooms were, 3 stars. Cant expect whole lot. The toilet in the room kept on running most of the time. The stopper on the sink wouldn't work. The TV was super dated and no fridge.
nothing too noisy, can't sleep. whatever we wanted, the hotel couldn't make it. Dealers are so mean.
It is a decent place for family stay, unlike some sleazy hotels and well priced. Curtains did not work properly. Room wasnt ready at Check In 3:00 PM and we had smelly pillows.
The room was nice, the view was nice and the monorail makes up for it not beeing right on the strip. The casino smells a bit to much ciggarette for my taste. Roomservice is, as always, a bit expensive.
The location. Hilton is near of Stip Blv. We didnt have fridge in our room.
Nice room, excellent price/quality ratio Even crappy motels have free wi-fi. At hilton it was 13 $ per daty, per laptop!
well i spent my honeymoon there and my room was next to the elevator which was very convienant for me since im 8 months pregnant no
The price was great and the hotel was very nice. I wish that the gym be available to all guests.
Protection badly works. At me have stolen 2 mobile phones and who didn't begin me to help. Have told wait and can be to you them will return. Though around there are videocamera
comfortable beds, nice pool, good buffet dinner It was a little bit off the strip but the monorail stopped right outside so we got around pretty easy
The price was excellent as it was off season. It is in need of renovation. it looked old and tired.
I've got an excellent deal on the hotel ! Really liked the location and the free self-parking ! I've also enjoyed the cabaret program. I couldn't manage the air-conditioning in my room. Also the self-parking open space was not available to all guests due to some convention or something.
Walking distance to every thing Very loud at night for sleeping
Clean rooms Comfy Beds Powerful Shower head noise from Fremont below but if you turn on the ac unit to constant mode it draws out the noise Resort fee $22.60 plus a $100 fully refundable deposit
Free wifi and comfy beds. Clean room with plenty of towels. A nice little pool that never got too crowded. If I was being picky, I'd say some of the furniture and room decor was a little cheap looking. Also, the windows are covered with a mesh banner marking the hotel, so the view is somewhat obstructed.
Free valet service while the parking garage is being renovated, friendly staff, clean rooms with a modern decor, and really comfortable beds!!
freemont experience the room was not cleaned for two days
Best thing about the d is the location, there is so much to do in walking distance. The room was nice and the staff was friendly. I didnt like the shower layout. Other then that it was a great time.
Good variety of games.
The hotel rooms are old but renovated. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Casino is nice with decently priced games. Second time staying at the D. The staff working at the front desk were very rude upon our arrival and couldn't get us two rooms on the same floor. Housekeeping had to be called to make up our room the next afternoon and they didn't even change the sheets. The bathroom door in our room was also very squeaky. Not a great experience compared to our first time at the D.
The staff was very friendly, Nice hotel, the Diner served great food.
Room was clean Close to action Value Self parking was closed and valet to 35 min to get car in am Almost missed our tee time
I liked the thought of getting away with my fiancé for a relaxing weekend. I rarely get time off (4 days total a month) and we were very excited to have this special time together. I reserved a king size bed and when I arrived I was told that they only had rooms with two queens (having booked this 2 weeks early and having the option to pick I assumed I would get the room I reserved). My fiancé and I were understanding and took the room that we really didn't want. The first night (September 14th) while I was using the restroom I saw a bug run across the floor and wasn't able to see what it was so I wrote it off and went back to bed. The next day (September 15th) I was in the restroom getting cleaned up for dinner and was disgusted to be sharing the counter with a cockroach. It ran around and I video tapped it immediately as it made my fiancé sick and gag. We immediately packed our stuff and vacated the room. The hotel refunded us our money as soon as they saw the video thanks to the bell desk gentleman Bryson, money was returned to our account within 24 hrs of the incident. My fiancé and I ended up having to drive back home after being in Las Vegas for less than 24 hrs of our 72 hr planned vacation. We missed out on the Grand Canyon tour that we had planned on the 16th because we had now where to stay on the night of the 15th. I called getaroom.com to tell them about what had happened and my need for a refund. I was told that getaroom.com will investigate and that they do not refund for cancellation of reservations even though I offered to share video, gave the managers name that helped me and refunded me at the hotel for the few fees they charge onsite. According to getaroom.com this process will take anywhere from 7-14 days for a response and that's not guaranteeing I will be helped. I like everyone else using your site and I'm sure anyone reading this was hoping for a wonderful and peaceful vacation. I on the other hand was let down, put in very unsanitary conditions, FORCED to cut my vacation short (my money was wrapped up in your referred hotel/third party vendor who was not consoling at all), I still have never been to the Grand Canyon and I'm sitting in my living room writing this instead of sitting in Nevada as I should have been. I'm disgusted that this is the service provided by a simple hotel booking agency for a CUSTOMER who was mistreated, mislead and left vacationless.
The paper thin walls .. you could hear everything from the next room
The Italian restaurant was very good the room smelled like smoke (it was a non-smoking room), we called and housekeeping came and deodorized the room, just masked the smell. It took over 1 hour to get our luggage, we had to call numerous times to get our stuff. This is the first time we stayed and I will not return
Resort fees were hidden to me until check in
Location Fish tank Rooms are dated and not very clean They had no towels poolside They charge you extra fees for the gym and parking even if you don't use either
The Grotto Restaurant was outstanding as was the adult pool area Smoke smoke and more smoking-- was disgusting . I understand that it's a casino however, they need a better ventilation system. Give us some fresh air!!
I like the location of the Nugg'. Everything feels pretty updated compared to most of the other Fremont street properties. The pool is pretty unique. Good variety of slot machines and table games, though you won't find the really low minimums here. Generally easy experience. A couple of things really stuck out as bothersome and annoying. Most hotels will provide a coffee maker, but here they give you a keurig machine and charge for the use of the k-cups provided. Not exactly a major thing, but it just sits there taunting you the entire time you're in the room. My biggest problem with my most recent stay was that in the tower where I stayed it appeared that four out of the eight elevators were not functioning. The hotel has no control over when multiple busloads of tourists arrive to check in, but if the elevators all worked that would have avoided the huge crowd in the lobby. Likewise, when many guests are all checking out on Sunday, getting an elevator down to the casino was nearly impossible, with most people resorting to riding elevators up to the top floor in order to get space on one going down. This has been an issue for me before, and I was admonished for taking the stairs down as they are not meant for guest access except in emergencies. Anyway, elevators were a big disappointment.
Good restaurants, nice casino, comfortable beds, all the staff was kind and helpful we really enjoyed our stay. On Sunday the pool closed at 6:00 pm. O think I would have been better especially for the kids and because it was so hot for the pool to stay open longer.
The beds were reslly confort more than i thought they would be There was everything you needed except for like a little kitchen or mini fridge
The Golden Towers were well remodeled. Fremont Strret Expiernce was entertaining for a one night outing, but not more than that. My room requests were the exact opposite from what I requested. I was placed on the 15th floor, at the very end of the hallway, far from the elevators. I took my elderly mother to the Golden nugget for her 73rd bday. I asked for a room not at the top, and not far from the elevator. Complained about airconditioner 3 times, never was fixed. Non smoking floor smelt like cigarettes at all times
the food was good but that's about all the rooms are in bad condition. staff was rude!!! housekeeping threw away pics I purchased at hoover damn. will never stay there again.
Cleanliness, staff are very polite, good amenities, all the services they offer. I did'nt like the kind of fruits they placed in the hallway near the elevator is not of good quality ( not fresh enough) but still, I give them overall 5 star.
Upgraded rooms complimentary at check in, fabulous pool, good food options, convenient location to everything you need....this is our hotel from now on.
The beds were too small and the ac didn't work so it was hot in our room. Cribs were expensive and didn't even come with blankets.
1. It was cheap. 1. The manor area is literally a motel and tucked away in the back of the property. It's extremely rundown and dirty. Carpeting is black and one towel was stained. 2. This place is crawling with children. 3. The wind gusts had all the door frames and such making noise. It was difficult to sleep at night. I called to request a room switch and they said they wouldn't be able to do anything until the next morning. I was even willing to pay. 4. I needed a taxi cab to leave and they told me I would have to walk all the way to the taxi stand area to get one. The most they could do was send a bellhop to carry my bags for me. 5. Lots of homeless people in the area. There was a bench right in front of Manor C and a homeless person was chilling there. They do have security on bicycles patrolling the area, however, this person managed to get there for a bit. Made it feel unsafe despite the security.
Poor management. Things were stolen from our room. Never stay there.
HORRIBLE PLACE TO STAY Horrible place to stay...Staff especally horrible
price tv remote did not work, staff did not come when they said they would at check in. called a second time time and someone came next morning. no soap in the bathroom long line (53 minutes) to check in at midnight
Happy Hour 2 for 1 drinks Sports Bar Gambling Steak House Donuts Construction Location of check in Distance to get to rooms from check in Cleanliness of room Smoke Not enough Craps Tables No Hotel Staff directing traffic / taxi pickup / drop off at front of hotel or in rear check-in / out entrance
Very good prices thank
There was an awful smell through most of the hotel. Staff was not friendly by any means.
Easy to navigate The entire hotel had a funky odor! The soap and lotion was disgusting. The shower head had fairly low water pressure.
Steakhouse was great We paid almost $500 for two nights for a room that had no amenities, the shower didn't work, the bath water fluctuated from hot to cold. I won't stay there again, the hotel was in poor condition.
Good location and price Was older and out of date. No mini fridge or microwave with an old tube tv. Reminded us to not spend our days in our room.
staff at front desk were helpful their restaurant "The Steak House" was superb. room was old and smelled like it. Air conditioner was extrmely loud. When AC was not on you could here the noise outside. Walls were paper thin and the family next door was making loud noises through 2:00 a.m. or later. There was not a "no smoking section" in the casino. Blackjack odds were worse than other casinos. Curtains would not close all the way so there was always light showing through. Ice machine was on another floor.
Terrible. You walk through a smoky maze of casino and shops to finally find the front desk. i cannot believe how much I paid for what was essentially a motel. The room smelled like smoke and mold, and was full of stains on the carpet and walls.
The employees were all very pleasant. Once I paid for the room (and resort fee online) when checking in I am told about a $100.00 deposit that will be refunded upon checkout. When I check out I see Another $21.00 fee (Resort Fee) All and all we ended up having to pay almost $64.00 for that $20.00 room. The bathroom was so small the door hit the toilet, when I went to hang my towel on the hook on the back of the door it slipped and fell in the toilet. There are bands playing in the blocked off area on Freemont till at least 3am and it blared into our room. The food in the restaurant was outrageously priced for the tiny and outdated cafe. $11.00 for a hamburger and that was about the cheapest thing on there menu. I will never go back and will tell everyone I know how bad it was!
It is an old era hotel from the early 1900s. There are antigues and photos worth bucks scattered amongst. When you get upstairs think green mile. Valet seems to loathe their positions. Room was dirty due to lack of care. I work in international business so i can tell when a worker is given too many rooms, tht or a lack of training. Brittle doors slam all times of the night as the plywood hallway floors play lullaby late into the night letting you know who is up and heading where any time you like (usually 2-5am( Thumbs Down Kids
$20 resort fee per day for only a very slow internet (no pool, no business center, not fitness center etc.)
We stayed facing Fremont street, it was a little noisy.
valet workers were nice... but practically mandatory to use valet because there is no free parking loud band playing outside fremont street and no sound insulation no free parking, $3 an hour fee, cheaper to use valet ac sucks, on max ac, it couldn't cool the room
I was looking for a cheap place to sleep, but when I checked in, I was charged a $22 resort fee. The total was still less than $60, but it would be nice to have known about this fee ahead of time.
This hotel was terrible Loud location, music doesn't stop till 2am, small dingy dirty room, hotel over charged for stay, rude staff, worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
There was a resort fee of $24.60 that I was not informed of and had no choice but to pay when I checked in. DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL unless you know and understand what the fee will be. The hotel room was very small and very noisy due to the loud music all night from the "Freemont Experience" all evening.
Location, price. Dirty, outdated, lacking in amenities, foul smell on hallway. The shower curtain is full of molds and dirt on the bottom side. Toilet bowl stained and not cleaned and was not cleaned during our stay. Electrical outlets are few and hard to access.
Location Unfriendly front desk staff, hidden resort fees, misrepresented pictures of room.
A couple of the staff....Evening reception that gave us a comp b/c our room hadn't been cleaned after two calls to the front desk and the Maintenance guy...Scott...who repaired the heater, and the security guy that helped us open the safe that was stuck. Valet guys were friendly. The location is good. No hot water in late afternoon and evening. Reception told me that during afternoon and evening, I needed to run the shower for 20 minutes before the hot water would show up. They were close...18 minutes. Seems like a huge waste of water. Bathroom smaller than the backseat of my car. Room noisy starting late in the evening. Heater didn't seem to work. I had many contacts with staff to help me solve a problem, repair something, or give further instruction or how things worked, which I've not had in other hotels. My wife and I stayed here as a less expensive alternative to the Golden Nugget, where we usually stay because I were here for a conference and we'll be coming back in April. Not a good choice. Will never stay here again. Ever.
Convenient Cozy Nice decor Friendly staff Floor in bathroom substandard Seemed not clean Maybe needs remodel Also freebie chips rip off Not usable on all tables and $25 each too high to really play Reasonably Suggest lower denominations
The location downtown was ideal. We had to wait a day and a half to get a working toilet and shower. We had to threaten posting a video of our non draining tub before they magically found another room.
Hotel was accommodating to our needs when getaroom booked our reservations incorrectly. The staff was very nice and eager to help. Initially booked a 3 person reservation non smoking. The getaroom people booked for 2 so we had to exchange our king for 2 queens which they didn't have at the time of check in except for a room in a construction floor that was smoking. The ac unit rattled all night too. The next day the hotel was able to move us thankfully and we got a good nights rest.
nothing worst hotel/casino I have ever stayed at. the parking garage elevators didn't work, there were 2 rude desk clerks, the rooms need remodeling, the electronic card key didn't work the first time, no wifi, the pit bosses wouldn;t take there own fun book coupons, I found that painfully funny.
Casino Our room was not clean when we got up to our room. We weren't offered any discount or anything for this mistake. Poor customer service.
Loved their restaurant, MAGNOLIAS! Best breakfast and great price
The hotel was situated in a great place which had easy access to bus routes to the strip. The bedrooms were clean and we were given towels and any other necessities we needed. We had to pay for wifi (24 hours at a time) not having their on pool, but there was access to another pool which was okay.
Affordable, no resort fee. Noise from Fremont strip.
Large hotel, seemed inexpensive Had my room over the Freemont concert stage, music was really loud until well past midnight
Front seat staff was friendly First day these the elevator in the parking lot wasn't working, had to use the stairs. The room smelled old and the music coming from Freemont street wouldn't let me sleep. Once the curtains were moved to look outside we found a McDonalds hash brown wrapper and pieces of has brown underneath giving us the impression that the room wasn't properly clean.
My room was dirty and old, I didn't have any soap or other toiletries.. The parking attendant was rude even though I had my parking pass in plain view I didn't like anything about the 4 queens in would never stay there again
Good Hospitality! There was a beautiful desk clerk.
The pools are amazing and the room service was very fast and delicious! There was no elevator in the courtyard area but the food was still hot! The lady at checkout was horribly rude and unfriendly. The room was very cheap looking and feeling but it was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. Shower was tiny. Bed was stiff. The AC smelled horrible and had to be repaired. They rook our do not disturb sign after 1 of 3 days stay. Very far walk away from everything!!
Cost of room treadmills not working
Generally clean Only $33 per night! Oh wait, there's a $30 transaction fee and then a $16 check-out fee. So... not $33 a night. The bathtub didn't drain properly.
The price ia good. The staff is helpful and its not too far from the strip Room didn't include a mini fridge. Room wasn't very clean.
Can avoid the strip's traffic and more relaxing vibes and Big Tony's was excellent ! Didn't get a mini fridge :( or microwave
Great room for the price I paid !!
Honestly, we had a family trip. The location was excellent for us. my family and i was at the different location, but we made everything easy. We can't complain about the staff because we didn't let them cleaning our homes but we got everything we asked for and answered to all our questions and tried to worked out with them to make things easier. We enjoyed ourselves in the pool and my kids like it. Thanks for your services.
The comedic bad service at every restaurant The service was a joke, and I can't say it was very clean. It needs a major facelift. I would only stay there again if I had to.
Room very comfy & clean The single King bed needed another pillow. Only had 3 thin ones
The food good and well-priced and the staff was very friendly and nice. I stayed in the courtyard which is very old and not very comfortable. No view and very noisy.
The service and housekeeping was great
Clean The ice machine was very far from the room
Location We left after one terrible noisy night. Family of 6 living in room next to ours. Call and left messages on three different managers voice mail. Left emails. Called your customer service to book another hotel. To date still no refund or return calls. You should it even have them as an option anymore. We have stayed there several times but now it has turned into housing
Easy drive to Fremont. Key card needed for hotel. Restaurant s and theatre good. Kids arcade next to theatre has entrance on side Didn't see kids except at buffet. Nothing
Loved everything except the small pool and no spa.
The cafe was completely under staffed . We waited over a hour to get our drinks after being seated . Plus the surprise $100 deposit plus the in mentioned $20 resort fee did really leave me cheap gambling cash , so the stay was pointless.
I like that there is so much to do right on property. They have a little bit of everything. The prices for food, bowling, bingo, drinks, etc is unbeatable. I booked three king rooms. I got two double queen rooms and one king room. The shower temperature was not consistent. It kept getting scalding and cold while we were showering. The windows in the rooms open all the way and there aren't screens on them.
price used house phone to call cab took over two hours, called 5 times,,,, caused me to miss flight, lost money from missed flight, \had to stay another night at hotel in town, thisa was very bad
Bathroom not very clean. Looked like they cleaned the bathroom floor with a dirty mop. living space not very well vacuumed
I came to the hotel, they didn't respect the reservation and told me that you were overbooked and they don't have room
I liked the buffet and the amount of selection, I liked the Texas decor - being from Texas, it was familiar.. The gift shop clerk was the most helpful employee of all; room was comfortable, although the view from the non-smoking floor was just of the parking lot.. The price was unbeatable, for the short notice this trip was booked in. The desk staff was horribly rude from the moment we walked in; we arrived too early for "early check-in", and we're told to check every 5min to see if someone checked out, even though nobody would arrive to clean any rooms for another 2hrs. Kimoko (front desk) argued and lied about statements she made to my husband, which only further frustrated us. The only redeeming factor was the gift shop clerk, who answered any questions in a positive and comfortable manner.
The hospitality was super. Everyone was very nice and was very hospitable. Will definitely return. Would have like being able to use the business area without a charge and to be able to print boarding passes without a charge.
buffet; oyster bar lunch specials; movie theatre and bowling alley, nice carpet, good parking no free business center services for guests to work away from home. all staff should be trained to give the same answers
gambling area was nice. Employees at the sports book were nice and helpful. The men at the front check in desk were Very Rude! This set the tone for a poor experience. According to the men at the front desk they don't need my business.
Great value, clean rooms and clean organized casino floor. Bathroom a little small but well stock with towels
Location Front desk very unorganized and under staffed, slow
No pool and "non" smoking rooms still smelled very much like cigarette smoke.
Nothing The room was too small, there where no curtains on the window just wooden shutters, the room was very hot in the morning, but at nights its was freezing. The bathroom was horrible, it was very small! I dont recommend this hotel to anyone!
Our room was facing the west we could not hear the bands on fremont st. the room was plain bed was old but clean. No frills but good enough for us. They were kind enough to let is check in on a friday at 1 pm which was great after long flight. toilet over flowed onto floor. window did not open in smoking room.
Freemont street experience location. Buffett was very good. Valet parking worked well for us. NO RESORT FEE!! No pool - and the California hotel pool that Fremont shares with was closed. Older hotel. . .
Location Smoking smell in the rooms. Lack of convenient electric sockets
Convience Tony Romas restaurant. They offer steak and lobster for $11.99 from 9:00 - 11:00pm. We went to eat at10:20 and were told that the wait was too long. I waited all night to have that dinner. Although the manager was nice enough trying to explain the situation I was not happy that we were not offered some sort of comp.
good location if you like the freemont experience affordable valet parking is nice our room was ransacked while we were out! reported to security, no response at all. there is no swimming pool :( loud, duh its the freemont experience but yes LOUD in your room. air-conditioner loud and didnt work very well to cool the room. no wifi! what?!! yes true. guess they want you out gambling instead. no coffee no fridge in room, guess they want you out of room...
easy check in, baley parking excellent, food was so so didnt try Tony ramos. I dont like to compare I would think twice before coming back im not going to say that i will never come back. so I hope Fremont would make it up .. thank you For the price , the room was very small, bathroom uncomfortable, would need a lil updates,, pics, rugs, curtains etc. no housepitality thank you ..
The staff was excellent in helping me get our rooms worked out. We were only spending the night. We came in and immediately went to bed, so we did not find out anything about the rest of the hotel. We left early in the morning 5:30.
Price & location Mold on ceiling
location was very good ,quieter yet close to fremont street . staff were friendly and helpful . breakfast buffet was good deal rooms are a bit dated but comfortable . charged for Wifi ten dollars a day seemed a bit much.
Price point House keeping "Threw Away" My Rasberry Pi 3, the internet is wildly overpriced for 2016, They forced me to change rooms mid-stay. and Eric Eisenberg, Eric Eisenberg, Director Of Hotel Operations was completely unhelpful in compensating me for all that went wrong. His response to my missing hardware and move was "Can I buy you a coffee?" Just a nightmare but hey you get what you pay for....
I love the California hotel, whenever I visit Vegas it's my little slice of home (Hawaii). If you're from the islands the California is a pretty comfortable place to be. They have a variety of food choices, and a lot of things I can't normally get on the mainland. The gambling is fun, the people are nice, and overall I think it's a great hotel. The majority of the crowd is rather old so if you're looking for something more modern or trendy than you would probably be better off somewhere on the strip. There was no microwave or coffee maker. I was kind of surprised by no coffee maker. I think curtains vs slats would be better for the window shades.
Quiet yet close to everything . A great value and being partnered with Main St casino made it very nice . Just a short walk and Main Street Casino is where you will find a value priced buffet for all your meals at a reasonable price . You could walk out the east door and walk across the street into Binons casino or walk a block to the Freemont Experience . Very nice location and easy to find anything in downtown .
Affordable. Rooms are in better shape than the lobby. The Registration area is like something from a youth houstel. it has a sign made of plastic hanging from twine. No one is happy
The bed Hotel registration is to slow. Restaurant is over priced. You can clearly hear outside noise inside your hotel room which makes it difficult to sleep. I would suggest another hotel to stay at.
Very cozy and comfortable. Staff was amazing. Always willing to help in any way possible. Rooms do need updating. We came with a large group and had quite a few rooms. Everyone ended up with some type of rash before leaving. Not sure if it was the hard water in the hotel, or whatever the sheets and blankets are being cleaned with.
I like the location and that they are renovating and updating.
Rooms are always clean and comfortable. My wife and I usually spend 90% of our gaming time here due to the fact that my wife likes to play $3 blackjack, however, they never opened opened a $3 table. Not sure if they stopped the $3 blackjack completly or not. It was always a popular table. Not sure we will stay again as we like to start and end our day @ the tables.
There was a leaking toilet, noises and keep us awake. Other than that it was ok.
It was near at the Fremont Street experience but far enough away that the sound did not travel too much. There were lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The walk from the parking lot to check in was long and confusing. There was an adequate security in the parking lot: when I got to my car the next day there were obviously people drinking in the area. The hotel needs a deep cleaning in corners and hard to reach areas. Furniture is scuffed.
Nothing. Not my taste in hotels. I checked out immediately and still haven't gotten my deposit back. They are not organized at all.
We stayed in the tower king bedroom, and despite the furnishing being a bit outdated, the place was clean and well maintained. There's an iron, ironing board, blow dryer and a safe, minimal but enough for us. The location is right by Fremont street, so you get the action but don't get the noise or light.
Felt very safe when walking to Fremont Experience.
Easy waking distance to freemont experience, neon museum, etc.. Extra charges for water, coffee.
I like the revitalized downtown Las Vegas. It's great for locals, alot more relaxed than the strip. I have stayed at the El Cortez before, its old school Las Vegas so its alright for a night or two. I never made it to my hotel because The Cortez was already sold out even tho my reservation with Kayak went through we were turned away when we arrived. Luckily we we're locals, my girl friend and I just looking for a staycation so we just went home since we were too tired and frustrated with the lack of communication between the third party which was actually getaroom.com and El Cortez. If we were from out of town we would've been extremely disappointed, hopefully this issue is addressed so that it does not happen to anyone else in the future especially for tourists.
New towels were not clean
Very good pricing The service in just to get a room
good value. i like the atmosphire of the older casino. the room was too close to the elevators. it was noisy some times
The rooms were quiet. Location was convenient. The shower fluctuated between scalding hot and too cold. I coouldnt ever find a comfortable temperature.
Spacious Rooms, very comfortable. The hotel had a kiosk to check in for my airlines. Staff was friendly. Price was affordable. I called and was told no shuttle to/from airport, but found they do offer this service. Staff needs to be more informed.
The pool N/A
Customer service is everything with me, so what I liked best was all the staff were very friendly and on top of things! The workout area could use some work!
The lounge is poppin on the weekends lots of locals go there. it was convenient to have a good time and not have to worry about finding your way back to the hotel after. however we had to wait in the same line for the club to get to our room... If you dont want to be bothered by the club noise ask to stay on a higher floor 4th or 5th. We stayed on the 4th floor and could barely hear the music. Elevator is slow and creepy with red lights but its part of the ambience. We stayed for the halloween weekend so it was like staying in a haunted mansion... i dont know if thats a good or bad thing for most lol Rooms were decently decorated, different decor from the lobby and hallways. Valet guys were hella cool. free porn!! The phone in our room didn't work had to walk down to the lobby to get things. Hotel smells funny, pack some febreeze. Forgot a new watch on the mantel in our room yesterday before checkout and it wasn't turned in to lost and found :( but hotel manager jaime brown ensured that she would follow up with the executive of housekeeping
Rooms great, price great, atmosphere great, room service disrespectful, food service bad, The deco and bar, rooms were very nice,
The Artisan hotel has great decor. The chapel was a nice touch. The atmosphere was great. the atmosphere and decor
The Privacy Having to change rooms 3 times. And attitude when we tried to get help. Cost was also a problem after discovering all the hidden charges they tacked on. The Maintenance of the 1st two rooms 1 the door did not lock and the air conditioner did not work. The 2nd was a lot smaller and that air conditioner did not work either. They are also opening a Late Night club and what was a quiet dignified hotel quickly became a Noisy, Drunk filled hell.
I love the decor, and I used to love the whole experience....but now...... TV was so snowy you cant watch it. No towels at the pool, I had to actually go back into their laundry facility to get some. No wait staff at the pool for over an hour that I was there never saw a soul. Shower head broke off day one, and no one came to fix it after we reported it in the first morning there. No maid service the 3 days we were there, no one came and refreshed the towels, new soap, made bed, etc. Lobby and bar floors are sticky, obviously unclean. Bar staff rolled eyes and seemed irritated when I asked for ice for the room (you HAVE to get ice at the bar, as no machines exist in this hotel for guests).
The check in lady was awesome, they were overbooked and was going to only give us smoking room and when I told her we couldn't cause my wife was pregnant she immediately shifted gears and made an exception for us. Very awesome. room/bathroom was okay. No continental breakfast. Channels on the TV sucked. Wifi was not free and worse super expensive.
Location great. Price good. Service good. Rooms are avtad shabby but nice views if you get the right one.
enjoy the fact that this downtown property is a block and a half form fremont, so none of the light and noise pollution carries through. refrigerators in the room are a nice touch, though mine ended up freezing some of the goods i brought! great casino bar. shower heads are placed low, no blackout curtains.
This is a great place for the money. It is old but, well maintained. Food is good and reasonably priced for Vegas. No resort fee, but they will try to up charge you for WiFi. Just say no. Did not have a sports book, but there are others close by.
Cold a/c and comfortable bed clean room . you can't get away from the smoke. I don't smoke and it still permeates the building they still allow smoking in the casinos.
The antique decor and the area of town are big pros for this hotel. Minor fault which plagues almost all of Vegas, strictly Pepsi products, no Coke.
No bells and whistles.. Just a simple comfortable hotel and casino.. Nice place to stay downtown. Would definitely stay again The free buffet in the morning.. Awesome
Me and my lady love the atmosphere of the hotel and staff, and the rooms where comfortable and clean, no complaints from either of us
no free wi-fi
Triple 7 Brewery is great. Great customer Service throughout Low priced drinks. The IPA is great. Showerhead is chest level.
beautiful, clean too expensive. no perks.
Best ambience on the strip. Great dinning options and very friendly staff
* Spacious & luxurious room * Generally easy to get a spot around pool * Nice classy casino * Lots of restaurants in hotel * Hotel was exceptionally clean * Located at the nicer end of strip * Fantastic stay overall, would stay here again * Quiet room (which we requested) * They gave us $100 dining voucher which we greatly appreciated! * Staff around pool were pretty hopeless. We had to wait a long time to get service and even left a few times because we didn't get served at all * Located about a 20 minute walk from middle of strip so had to get a taxi a lot of the time * They charge for wifi which seems pretty ridiculous in this day and age
Room comfort and view. Higher end hotel so crowd is relatively calm and easy going. Room smelt like old cigarettes. Only staff that seemed happy were the in room dinning delivery folks. Check in, valets and doorstaff were slow and unattentive. We are likely to stay at Venetian/Palazzo on our next visit. Better food options/shopping and friendlier staffers.
THE ROOM! THE SPA! The view! Deodorizer smell. (Better than cigarette smoke, I suppose). Food at Sinatra was way overpriced for not being very good.
The rooms, comfortable beds & uniqueness of everything. The food & staff was A+
We have ordered vegetarian food and found meat in our food. Pool area was not bad, but could have been kept better especially water had lot of accumulation . Lot of cigarette smoke , even if you are not in the casino. It was the worst we have seen anywhere in Vegas
5 star restaurants, amazing spa, gym with everything you can ask for, great shows, luxurious hotel!!
We have stayed here twice now and have loved both of our stays! Staff is fantastic! Rooms are large, clean, and sexy. The food and drinks are a bit pricey, but no more than most of the higher end hotels. It's a little noisy if you stay in a room overlooking the strip, with the clubs playing music beyond 1am. I would highly recommend against the breakfast buffet. It was included in our room last time, and we wish we had gone somewhere else and paid for breakfast.
almost everything was great The bed was awfull, they should change the mattress (suite 5738), could not get any rest.
The people who check your card at the elevator are rude
This hotel has everything and gives the Las Vegas feeling with a very luxurious wrapping. WiFi access is as natural a comodity as water and electricity. To charge 15 dollars per device per day for this is baffeling! Just include general access in the room price and remove device limit.
Staff was very friendly. No refrigerator no coffee pot. Water in bathroom smelled.
I woke up with what looked insect bites on my back and arms
The rooms are clean and spacious. All of the staff is very friendly. Several restaurants to choose from, a theater, kids zone. I will definitely be staying here again! Nothing, my stay was excellent!
My experience de this time was blah.. Does it matter if I state what I didn't like?
Before booking my room, I had to check out the reviews from Kayak and Yelp. I got the rooms for $19/night(What a bargain!), and that made me skeptical of this place. But, after reading all the good reviews, I decided to give it s shot. As the reviews suggest, this place is one of my best bargain for this year. To start, the courteous and helpful staff checked me in and told me all about the "free" stuff that comes with staying there(i.e. bonus points, free gameplay, free drink, etc.) Then, I get to my room. The first thing that greeted me, was the gorgeous view of Vegas strip. The room was a standard hotel room, but I was very satisfied that it wasneat and clean, including the bathroom. My only fault that I can think about this hotel, was the lack of a jacuzzi in the pool area....that's all! But, I still would stay here again in the future. Thanks! :)
So beautiful and clean. The pool is not heated.
Easy on and off the freeway. Not on the strip so a little quieter and calm. Decent rooms. Reasonably priced. I could clearly hear conversations outside the room, in the hallway, that were not directly near my room. Thought it was strange that the front desk was on one side of the casino, and the elevators to the rooms were on the other side.
Boulder Station is a local casino. 20 Minutes away from the strip. It's mostly quiet except on weekends. Good for a romantic getaway close to home. Restaurants, movies and bars make it easy to do a lot within the property. It's worth the money.
I tried it for the cheaper rate but it wasn't worth it. They nickel and dime you for everything. Next time I'll just shell out for a nicer place on the strip for the whole trip. I would not do Boulder again. Was harassed by men in the lobby. Sketchy part of town. Non smoking room still smelled like smoke. Getting harassed by men in the lobby. Tons of fees everywhere and for what?
The rooms and most of the hotel was very comfortable, updated and clean. Housekeeping was friendly and gave prompt service. It is a great location when just traveling through because it is away from the strip so traffic isn't bad. The breakfast buffett was an average medium size buffet at $6.49 per person if you sign up for a free players card ($8.49 without it.) There is what looked like a nice pool, kid zone, movie theater and of course casino. The hotel/casino is HUGE and was a little confusing on where to go at first. There is smoking allowed downstairs which I think is normal in Vegas but it of course made me uncomfortable because we have two young children. The front desk and access to rooms are on opposite sides of the building and that made it confusing after checking in.
