Completely renovated, its contemporary design blends with the best in Moroccan architectur e. This 5-star luxury hotel is set amongst a 17-acre garden. 7.4 Good
Pros: The staff is amazingly friendly - the Hotel is in a perfect location with a lovely garden The restaurants are excellent.
Cons: There is no communication between the different entities in Hotel. So things go wrong (like with us - we had to change rooms twice in a three night visit AND EVEN then we did not get what we asked for but we just gave up, It was either that or letting it ruin our vacation. We got a room with no shower - then we got one with a shower but with a flooded toiletfloor which could have killed as I slipped when entering during the night. Then room nr. 3 AGAIN had no shower and a Light that had the 200V on the metal so when you touched it you felt the current. The Hotel is a bit tired It used to be HILTON. It needs a makeover. As I said, we gave up but will not return as the staff just sail how sorry they were but never ever considered maybe making it up by offering a better room. We stayed it the same poor ailse of room 701-730. Dismal experience.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is superb liked the cleanliness of it as well.
Cons: Small details counts like for instance I stayed for 2 nights the first night I was tired went to sleep early hoping for the next day to get to the night club to my surprise I found out that the club was closed on Sunday when I asked why it's closed they told me it's the end of summer starting from now the club will always close on Sunday while I read on their room catalogue that it will be open which means they should have updated their catalogue .. I was kinda mad at first but the so nice shisha lounge was great it made me relaxed it's a five star hotel for god's sake they should be always updating their catalogues whenever the season ends ... And the gallery service is quiet slow especially when I ordered the food the French fries always served late ....
8.0 Excellent
Pros: - Club Millesime was great and especially its staff, Nadia. - The outdoor heated pool. - The reception staff with Imane and Yusuf and the Concierge together with the doormen. - The lobby design and the cocktails at the bar
Cons: - The room furniture and decor could be refreshed. The bathroom (shower facilities) as well. - The indoor pool is good but cannot be accessed by minors so you cannot take your children there. - The beauticians could be more attentive.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I always choose this hotel, Le Diwan. Simply because the staff’s service is outstanding. I would love to shed the lights on a special person. Mr Malki Salah. He is amazingly kind and helpful. You can ask him for anything, he knows Rabat very well as he can recommend the best things around town with a big and honest smile on his face. He is an active guy you can find him everywhere in the hotel. I would also add that he is approachable. I was so happy to receive his email literally 4 minutes after confirming my booking. It was so professional and welcoming. Regarding the room, it was super clean & cozy. For the location, the hotel is downtown, you can go anywhere you please. You won’t need a cab. As a business man who travels a lot for work , I will always choose Le Diwan. PS: Ibtissam the reception lady. Is also amazing. Thank you guys for everything and see you soon. Cheers.
Cons: Nothing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed the terrace. Was extremely neat and gave a good view of the city
Cons: Breakfast could have had a egg or two. Toast not done that well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so kind and helpful for the duration of our stay. They didn’t speak much English but went out of their way to try and communicate and help us. The riad is beautiful and on a more quiet street, but very close to one of the main entrances to the Médina so it’s still very easy to get taxis if you need them. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the terrace is lovely. Thank you for having us!
Cons: No elevator but this I found this pretty typical in most riads.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Luxurious traditional house with big rooms and nice atrium in the middle. Breakfast was very good!
7.5 Good
Pros: The hospitality is amazing, and while the room was below my expectations, the friendliness made my stay worth it. All my needs were addressed. The room could have been cleaner and the bathroom sliding doors were broken, toilet was ok, but overall my stay was enjoyable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A clean Riad, near to the train station of Salé ville, only takes a 5dhs taxi to reach Bab Chaafa which is the nearest portal to the old medina where the Riad is located, very easy to reach Rabat from there, the train station and the tramway station are so near, maybe a 10minutes walk from the riad .. 15minutes to reach the center of rabat by tramway.. the riad and its staff exceeded our expectations.. the breakfast, the cleaniness..
Cons: It's not that I didn't like it, but I read when I was going to book the room that breafast is being served on the terrasse, which I didn't happen to see; maybe I was late to breakfast or that I just didn't ask for the terasse view that i was excited to see when booking
7.5 Good
Pros: Culture home and good location.
Cons: Not good bathroom
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nabeel was very accommodating and helpful. Making amazing tea and Tagine. Location was just right and place is very authentic

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Room and overall hotel and setting were lovely. Staff greeted us warmly. Was a good setting to begin our Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT) experience.
Cons: Restaurant food was good not great. It was difficult to connect with the hotel prior to arrival - we attempted to contact the hotel to reserve a room a day early before we joined our Overseas Adventure Travel (Oat) trip. Staff were not responsive - eventually an OAT agent helped us book through an online booking service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was great, one of the best of Rabat and for sure the best value wise. One of the staff, Zackary the receptionist was especially accomodating and helpful, also the Chef (didn't get his name) who was there, on the night of the 31december made great food for us and was helpful. We didn't encounter any of the faults mentioned in other reviews: each room has a controller so you can adjust the temperature of your room to your liking , cold ,warm.... it was very clean, rooms were spacious and cozy , cocktails at the bar were awesome and so was the view from the room and from the bar outside . The breakfast was perfect ,all you can eat style and were surprised by the quantity and quality of the products offered. will stay here for sure next time visiting Rabat.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, large and comfortable room with a large balcony around it and a modern bathroom. Nice quality cosmetics, bathrobe and slippers available for your convenience. An excellent river view. Nice and quiet location but close to the airport and the city. Good quality breakfast. Professional and friendly welcome. And thank you Mr. Mehdi for helping me to find my lost jacket and scarf, very much appreciated!
Cons: The bathrooms downstairs in the communal areas are not as clean and modern as the one in the room.

Cons: no internet bed was very uncomfortable breakfast was horrible
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: The hotel is supposed to be 4 stars. However, the room is very basic and the bathroom is the worst I had to ask for towels and toilet paper. Unacceptible
4.6 Okay
Pros: Only the bed I found good condition, except that nothing I can say any word about the hotel.
Cons: Room was cold, no air condition or heating. No towels provided, no toilet tissue, no toiletries, window faulty- no lock there, Overall didn’t like mostly things. Specially- hotel stuff never received their phone call, that was the most inconvenient part of the hotel.
1.0 Poor
Pros: I did not get any breakfast at all. Even though it was included.
6.0 Good
Pros: The room was good value for money as prices in Rabat are higher than other cities in Morocco. There is a big park nearby to cool off in hot weather.
Cons: The location is a bit frustrating. There is a tram system in Rabat, but the hotel is a stiff walk from the nearest stop. The high-speed train station (Agdal) is nearby, but reaching it takes nerves of steel as you'll have to navigate several busy roads with swirling rush-hour traffic. Also, when I arrived at the hotel, the credit card machine was broken and I had to pay in cash - lucky I brought some euros on this trip!

Overview Reviews
The Mercure Sheherazade Rabat is located in the city center, in the residential of Hassan. 5 min from the principal historic monuments and districts businesses, 15 min from the Royal golf course; airport
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very friendly staff at check in and check out
Cons: The room was not really clean. HSK department did a good job but it is more about deep and old dirt. Simple things that can be fixed quickly with a small amount of investment. This however is a owner/management issue and not staff issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: It’s has good size rooms
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent location. The staff are friendly and helpful and will do what they can especially Yahia. The bathroom is spacious.
Cons: The hotel is dated and needs refurbishment. The breakfast is hit and miss. A bit inconsistent.
7.9 Good
Pros: The quiet location, the cleanliness and the kindness of the staff.
Cons: The difference between the price paid in local money when we convert it to Euros and the price indicated in booking.com reservation in Euros. This was the case despite the stability of the change rate and exclusion of the local taxes. It would be good if booking.com indicates the price directly in local money.

The food was fantastic - really fresh and healthy ... a great breakfast to set you up for the day . The owners were really very helpful, especially as we had to leave early due to COVID19 . They were able to give advice and help with arrangements . Would definitely want to go back
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: There is not much that I like about this place. Really think it is overrated.
Cons: 1. Accessibility. There is no way to park close to the riad. First day it took us 1 hour extra to get there. The owner never told us in advance, there is no way to get there by car but only on foot. In a good weather day, it might be not a big deal, just pass through some dirty streets, but in a rainy day, it is very very very dirty to your shoes and suit case rolling on the floor. But watch out when you walk there in the night. Did not feel very safe. 2. Noisy. You can hear what is from the street, talks and motorbike even in the night, 24/7. As well as what is happening inside the riad. 3. Communication. Besides the owner who is not there mostly, it is very hard to communicate with the staff there.
7.0 Good
Pros: Warm welcome - staff were excellent. Owner followed up on guest comfort, satisfaction etc. at every meal. Given tour of all vacant rooms - all individually decorated and characterful. Breakfast was excellent. Roof patio would be great in warmer weather.
Cons: Stayed in Zero Waste Suite - concept brilliant but execution just several steps too far. Overpowering! Very difficult to communicate with owners - no reply to many phonecalls, texts, msgs on day of arrival. Taxi transfer messy with argument at train station between drivers. Enjoyed set meal at dinner but menu on table was not we ate - previous day maybe?

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room was equipped with a heater
Cons: The smell in the room. It smelled really bad. Also, I had high expectations of the riad and the room as the price was higher than other riads. I saw a good grade on booking and I opted for a room with ocean view, but instead, it was a poor view that was worth keeping the windows closed. It was mentionned that, being by myself in the room, I was promised I would have a better breakfast but it wasnt the case. Lastly, I wanted to leave only after one night instead of 3 as I felt sick and also didnt want to stay because of my disappointment, but the owner got angry and refused and obliged me to pay for the 3 days. Then, he made sure he got his payment via booking with my credit card and I was obliged to stay in the riad. I felt stuck there as I was short on money due to that.. After that incident, they stopped cleaning my room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Riad is comfortable and nice with very good breakfast. Staff are very kind and tried to solve things whenever we ask. I saw some bad reviews but don’t worry. Stephan is a good person and other staff are also very kind. Enjoy Sale, Rabat!!
Cons: Nothing.
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful place and rooms
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect breakfast, beautiful Riad with amazing rooftop and lovely host!
Cons: One of the rooms wasn't cleaned but immediately cleaned after we reported it. Also, one of the employees literally chased us for the payment the day after, very pushy.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: They printed our boarding passes.
Cons: I was received already asking for money. They didn't accept card although in booking.com they write they do. No suggestions for anything. Quite unfriendly. Expensive.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: everything
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: The location is good. We could park in the street. The French owner is very friendly and helpfull (spoke English which was helpful for us).
Cons: Breakfast was a little disappointing compared to other hotels/guesthouses in Marocco.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: environment and location
Cons: WIFI is a little slow
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Pietri is very conveniently located in the downtown of Rabat, 10 minutes walk to the medina and 5 minutes to the Station. Rooms are small but confortable and clean. In the ground floor there is a Braserie that sometimes becomes a Jazz Cave. This is the best place to have a beer or a drink in Rabat!
Cons: Hotel and restaurant are overpriced for local standards.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice room in a nice hotel. The restaurant/jazz club was EXCELLENT, and they saved a table for me right in front of the stage. (Only ruined by a problematic guide I had been trying to escape who conned his way in and ruined the end of my meal.) Get the lava cake with Oreo ice cream for dessert. The mini bottle of water waiting in my room was appreciated.
Cons: The personnel was not very friendly. I needed to check out early; most hotels elsewhere offered me breakfast to go when that was the case, but Pietri refused. When I needed an early morning cab, they didn't help me like other hotels there either, telling me to walk through the pre-dawn darkness and find one myself. The price seems really high for what I got in other hotels in Morocco. (Though the restaurant, while expensive, seemed fairly priced.)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable hotel and good restaurant. The staff was most friendly and especially helpful in a difficult time for travelers and businesses alike.
6.0 Good

Pros: the location and decor of the hotel are good. it also has a lift which is rare in morocco for any Riad.
Cons: room size is small guest services is not very up to the mark, check in and check out services were slow
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breackefast was fresh and tasty, Rashid and Muhammad have been amazing hosts. The room was beautiful, the sheets super soft and the bed very comfy. The terraces of the Riad have a 360 view on the old medina. Overall an amazing experience.
Cons: We had a tub in our bathroom, but there was not enough hot water for a full tub..
6.0 Good
Pros: Staff was great especially the morning gentleman. Breakfast was excellent. Elevator was a plus. Rooms are small & high windows.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful terrace with ocean views, exceptionally appointed facility with an elevator to reach the 1st and 2nd floors, very helpful staff, great location near the ocean and the Mohammed Vth Street, easy airport access. All in all this is a great choice for Rabat and highly recommended.
Cons: We would have preferred the rooms without the wall to wall carpet. Moroccan rugs on hardwood floors would improve the property tremendously. However, the hotel is beautiful and the rooms off the main patio are exquisite. Rashid deserves a mention for his great service. Best of luck to L’Alcazar and thanks for the upgrade!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Real luxury in the heart of the city. The staff couldn't do enoug to help.
Cons: It was all great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The kindness and hospitality of the management and staff at L'Alcazar and in the City of Rabat, is the best I have experienced in my travels to 42 countries.
Cons: Everything was fine, no complaints just happiness.
6.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed and very clean Good location and evening staff guy is friendly Beautiful terrace overlooking medina and sea
Cons: More style over substance and not the best value for money. Junior suite had tricky stairs to go up - mum could not go up and was told had to pay for additional bed. When we refused to pay extra (already paid enough!) extra bed was provided as a gift on our return. Nice gesture although bath water flows out into living room area if not careful (no shower curtain). Breakfast is honestly appalling - worst one we have ever had. Coffee is disgusting, pancakes are not great, egg portions are stingy, bread was stale and heated up to appear fresh - what is more, Rachid (morning staff member) argues to convince us that we are wrong about it...quite creeped out by his mannerisms. Management need to review breakfast options here...as soon as possible.

Pros: Nice Riad situated just inside the Medina. Once you know the way it is easy to find. Staff excellent. were always available. My room was good but curtains needed adjusting as they falling off the rails, The rooftop where the breakfast is served needs more sunshades or a sali as it gets very warm.
Cons: The shower curtain needed changing (or cleaning) as there was mould on the bottom. Also mould behind the bath. Not 5 star standard
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect - in Medina, 5 minutes to the beach and main touristic routes. Very pleasant view from the terrace where you can enjoy the great view during the breakfast. Amazing rooms! I wanted to take those awesome curtains home haha. The most cozy room that we had in Morocco. Very friendly hotel stuff, speak English, ready to fulfill your extra needs like a glass of hot water at 11PM.
Cons: Poor noise insulation but it is problem of all riads since you have glass door and windows.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, maroccan style. Loved to stay there. Very romantic, preferred for couples in love.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, the breakfast and the terrace.
Cons: The water pressure.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice breakfast on the terrace. A pretty traditional Moroccan Riad We were greeted with delicious tea and cookies
Cons: The location is difficult to access from the Main Street. However staff kindly escorted us outside of the Médina to get a taxi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly stuff. Amazing place like fairy-tale!
7.9 Good
Pros: the other riads we stayed in offered to make omelets or scrambled eggs for breakfast. Also the the other riads in the area offered a buffet table selection for breakfast.
Cons: We canceled our second night because the air conditioning was broken in one room and it was quite hot outside. We also noticed tiny ants in both bathroom and bedroom.

Pros: The staff there is super awesome! The location is super quiet! The rooms are a great size! I enjoyed my stay
Cons: It's a little hard to find but when u figure it out it's easy to remember
7.9 Good
Pros: The riad looks nice, is clean. The room was clean and big, and the breakfast was great.
Cons: The location was a little difficult to find. I suggest for the future customers to don't arrive by night. The speaker of the mosque is close to riad so be prepared to have an earlier wake up.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was big and nicely furnished, including a nice shower and a bathtub. A very nice and calm atmosphere was around the place and the patio. Breakfast was nice as well.
Cons: Entering the neighbourhood from the west makes the town look deserted as the shops are found east of the riad
5.4 Okay
Pros: The place is well decorated with an old fashioned style which I actually like. Some very original pieces of furniture here and there. Special mention for the chandelier. The bed was comfy. The lady offered us a tea even though I've declined as we were going to have dinner soon.
Cons: Even though i advised them of our arrival, once there we've rang the bell several times but we've been left out for several minutes with no answer in a very unpleasant location at night time. Finally a men who was going there made a phone call and they came to open the door. The room looked different from the picture but finally was the one we've booked. I've sat on a wet toilet (many drops were there.. hopefully just water!!) The breakfast was the poorest we had during the whole stay in Morocco (15 days till now). Staff was not so friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our favorite hotel our whole trip. I loved the neighborhood, I love sale. it was the first place people said hi to us on a regular basis. It was nice to be outside of Rabat with a five cent boat ride in between. The ladies were so sweet and accommodating. Very much loved it and would stay again.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Good location beside the Hassan Tower.
Cons: Room was sooo hot, and it is February and cold outside. You can open the window but the cool air doesnt seem to come in. There is a cooling system but not airconditioning, it is just blowing air. Did not have a comfortable sleep.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast very good. Wonderfully smiley staff and very helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole Hotel, the people. I stay there often and after I test 4 other big Hotels in Rabat, that’s my favourite. At the day when we leave (5:16 am), we wait for our driver that take us to the airport, the person in the reception bring us to the breakfast room, and they offer us to take breakfast, eat something before we leave. Important is to say that the breakfast start at 6 am, and everything was quite done and ready. A entry was not permitted, but for us the open and we eat and drink before we drive to the airport at this time... In the roof there is a walk around the whole Hotel, you take a sightseeing to the Marine, Hassan Tower and to the Medina. Rooms are Big, Breakfast is so huge and lot of choice, Orange juice and Mango Juice, Water, Milk Coffee incl. lot of fruit, different bread types… AMAZING !!!! Everything is well cleaned and the Internet is also not so bad (and it is a big, big Hotel) On the way to the elevators (4 Elevators), near to the reception you can use a ATM to withdraw money and also a little store to buy some sweats or goods. Two restaurants and good Fitness Studio, Spa and “outside” swimming Pool (where you can sit and relax). Near to the Pool there is a roof Bar, also with good ambient
Cons: Mini Bar drinks are expensive.... Little chaos in the reception, if you forget to book additionally to your stay the breakfast, but they thread us “Guests” as “KINGS”.
