Outside pool was awesome and the buffet was good. The rooms need allot of upgrading for the price they charge.
Food was great Smell of drainage, spiders in room, no elevator or ramps for older people.
Our Bartender Olga was super nice and caring she even brought a cake for my b-day and sang. She asked what drink I like even if it wasn't on the menu she made it and it was perfect. I didn't have a room phone and doors did not have a lock chain.
Nasty horrible old rundown no air conditioning stuff was rude
location and people and food there wasn't anything bad
Oceanfront view. Power outage, moldy smelling bathrooms, no coffee makers or phones in the rooms.
View was nice and the saff was great too The room had too many problems the bathroom door knob was falling off you had to bush the bathroom door really hard to close it and the sink was clogged the water would take a while to go down never staying at tbis hotel again
walking distance to Puerto neuvo restaurants no AC. rooms are old. not very clean
I like everything everyone was very helpful and friendly service Very nice view of the ocean and it also has a playground for kidsale
Only the reception area was neat and clean. Stayed there two nights and they didn't even clean the rooms. Rooms were very uncomfortable. Showering was a nightmare, would take between 5-10 minutes just for them to heat up, in mid shower water would get cold and hot. the building area we stayed were lots of dust.
We have stayed here several times because of convenience. This most recent time the grounds and facility seemed cleaner and tidier than ever. The bedroom area has an annoying step so a trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night is treacherous. I am merely guessing, but I assume many people have taken a spill on the hard tile floor. I do have a suggestion: Eliminate the diagonal step at the entrance to the bedroom area by raising the hallway to match the height. Then add a step in the entry to the lower lounge area where people expect steps.
Good view Nothing
The location for strolling through Rosarito cannot be beat, nor the Easy access to get on the 1 toll road to Ensenada. The staff was incredibly friendly and if your looking for a place with no language barrier due to a lack of Spanish you are set. The rooms in the original hotel were clean but a little dated and it showed with high winds durring our visit there were a lot of little noises from the window ac mounted in the wall to the gap in the door as you entered the room, no spare pillows for a hard bed made the nights sleep somewhat restless as well. Offsetting all of this was a beautiful ocean view that was unobstructed for one hell of a good price, on a side note though, we're pretty sure room 616
I liked the room, its setup, and view. The cleanliness was very good, which always gives a resort an extra star. The restaurant also services delicious food, and there's delicious taco stands just across the street. I did not like the lack of service for the resort's Wi-Fi connection. The connection repeatedly loses signal and it makes it difficult to communicate with others back at home. To add to this, the security guards also made our final night of stay a little uncomfortable with inconveniently proposing that we turn our music down at only 9pm or 10pm at night. This was especially inconvenient considering that there was music blasting from the Penthouse just a few floors above out Grand Suite. You would think they would be more understanding and lenient on this considering it was not beyond midnight and others were enjoying music as well.
The view was beautiful & the beach front location made it super convenient. It was VERY loud in the hotel. We could hear all hallway noise right through the door. The bed was also very uncomfortable.
attention and friendliness N/a
the location front desk try to give another room instead of the one I had already had paid for
They always had someone who can listen to you but did not know how he/she can help cause they were limited on services. when ever you needed help they just kept you going around circles with their own experience.
Te hotel is ok and it has a great location but is not a 5 star hotel by far, the rooms need some TLC
Great location Mattress was below motel 6 quality
Rooms were right on the ocean with a beautiful view !!! Old and out dated unit with broken blinds and broken chairs , old dishes ... Owner is not spending much money on the unit...
First time I just did not like it at all they kept opening our room door just to see the occupancy but they should nock first, second time perfect
Staff was really great , hotel was very nice and cleaning. Hotel very pretty inside and out. No complaints what so ever about this hotel.
The property is will maintained, friendly staff, clean, comfortable, up scale vibe, lux feel, great value. Nothing really negative to say of point out. We did not experience any negative situations.
Nothing ! Everything!
Toilet didn't work. It was loud .
Everything was great , excellent service from arriving to end!!!
Pool. Clean bedrooms. NO WIFI. No signal at all. Only in a few spots.
We checked in then left after an hour No English speaking staff. Ugly room design. Bad part of the town. Dirty elevator. No working direction on the safe box .......
everyone in their staff were very helpful and polite
We really loved the pool - it was beautiful with palm trees, incredibly relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Only a few spoke good English - but if you speak a little Spanish, it's not too bad. All the fixtures in the hotel are quite old - there's mold growing in the Moen bath faucet, the bathtub was very worn out from years of use, the floor is the fake hardwood floors that are sticky because of the heat and humidity (I had to wear my own flip flops inside - hardly the most comfortable thing when walking around), popcorn ceiling. Perhaps this hotel was 5 stars back in its hey day, but it certainly needs replacing. Of course I knew I wasn't going to get 5 star resort for what I paid, but the rating is very, very misleading.
Cool clean quite rooms They charged my credit card in USD when I asked specifically to be charged in pesos. I consider this scamming
The family Environment and hotel access. The parking garage flexibility.
Great location. Very clean fet very safe The hotel receptionist are extremely rude and not welcoming
Rooms clean, nice swimming pool. Front desk people very rude, took so long to chek in, they could not found my reservetion througth your agency, almost stay with out room , no early chek in , until 3 pm. Horrible experience.
courtesy from bell boys, cleaning ladies and TV technictions, each where very promt. ****The ladie in "charge" of the counter on 11/07/15 morning could learn a thing or two from the bell boys, valet people, TV technitions and the cleaning ladies on courtesy, eye contact and respect when a person is talking to them instead of using the phone and laughing loud and not attention to a simple request from the client. ***BAD MANNERS
The people here were so amazing. Attentive and polite. My Spanish is decent but not fluent and they would follow me as long as I could go in the conversation before switching to English. I would certainly stay here again. Every elevator broke down while I was there and I had a room on the seventh floor. Remember that scene in the first season of Mad Men. It was kind of like that. That said I would never fault this lovely stay for mechanical failure. I will certainly be back.
Right in the middle of everything! location is probably about the only thing I was satisfied with my stay Only allowed 2 people in the room. If we wanted more people, it would be an extra $16 per person. Also the security checks every person who goes up to the room. We had a friend visiting us and couldn't go up to the room. ridiculous. The room is super basic. I would pay more money and stay somwhere else next time.
We got the room because of the location close to the night life experience with papa's and beer and other beach clubs in Rosarito. The walking distance to beach and ocean view from room. The price was affordable. This building needs extreme remodeling everywhere. The place looks 200 years old like it could fall down any year. The rooms were filthy, small, hot with no cooler just small fan. 8 floors and only 1 elevator which took forever. The light went out for several hrs sat night it was scary for the kids. My child was stuck in dark elevator several minutes. There is a glass wooded window in all rooms with no balcony and it looks super dangerous for children. place is suppose to be kid friendly but not at all. faris wheel looks broken, pools are rusty old. Nothing like pictures online. False advertising if you ask me. Only 2 adult 2 kids in rooms per room...every extra person $16 a night. They check for a yellow dumb wristband at elevator entry. The guard is there all night for safety but if travel big crowd expect to pay more for each person. The beds were hard, showers felt dangerous like could break all the way through. The music never stops all night and louder from room therefore we kept window shut to help but didn't instead it felt super musty hot at night. if u leave window open expect loud music, rush of air from beach and mosquito's to bite. Not a kid or elderly stay in my opinion. Overall I did not enjoy our stay. I used stairs mostly to avoid being stuck and smashed with people. stayed in 7th floor I hated stairs. Can be very tiring or dangerous for hard core drinkers. Only ok thing was the location and ocean view ...everything else was a night mare. I recommend ROSARITO INN any newer hotel .. More pricey but worth it.
It's the circus circus of Rosarito There was kids in jacuzzi running a muck and a ghost bar from 1995, dry.
Location was the only thing I like. The electricity when out. A customer complained and got un an argument. The Hotel called the police and took everyone evolved to jail I wouldn't recommend a stay here. Someone else complained the he was robbed. Someone went in his room and stoled his money item he had in his room.
Walking distance to all the bars No A/C No iron
Definitely loved the location, the center of Rosarito main attractions which is the shopping area and beaches. I didn't need a car for anything. If I wanted late night tacos there was one within walking distance. Very outdated rooms. The hotel does look abandoned in some areas but it might just be under renovation. Not sounds proof whatsoever, I could hear the night clubs play through the night until sunrise.
Very near to everything there is for entertainment. No a/c. No fridge or ice maker in the premises. It's gonna be noisy. Staff makes a big deal about taking alcohol to your room.
They need to get more updated with Hotel. Everything is very old and extremely dirty! The upstairs wall fell off because of water plumbing problem! So they switched us to another room. False advertisement on festival! When you read the description it says it has a carnival in hotel and there was a rusty old fairest wheel sitting outthere! They charge so much am pretty sure theres money to fix festival hotel! The only great thing about it is the location, is walking distance to the beach and night entertainment but overall i rate the hotel with 1 star!!!!
Staff was great and willing to accommodate us. No air-conditioning, dead bolt broken, television volume would either go all the way up or completely mute on its own.
Nothing bad conditions Dirty pool, too old
It was clean and waterfront There is no air conditioner just a celiening fan and you can hear all the club music. It's a good hotel if you're there to party.
We got to enter early. pool was dirty. Ferris wheel doesn't work. Lady at the front off was too busy gossiping and WiFi sucks
Nothing Everything was in horrible condition. Will never again stay there!
Close to everything The pool is always cold need more mantaines if the put a heater pool it will work much better Rosario is alway more cooler
Nada Everything. 1st off the hotel rating for this place is completely deceiving. The pictures show a casino, the casino was non existent. The place was surrounded on all sides by Barrio. If it wasn't for my wife and friend making a joke about it all, I wouldn't have been able to stay. The door to the room at some point had been broken into. The security lock was missing (replaced by maintenence once we asked) The front desk had me rent a remote control for a room with no TV. The list goes on and on. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone of my friends visiting rosarito. I am not sure how people continue to give this place anymore than a poor rating. I could have stayed alot better place for the money. And I will next time.
Nothing really. The hotel is right in the middle of a barrio. Even the beach down the street was very dirty. Everything feels sooo dirty and insecure. Staff was ok though.
Location and staff Garage entrance was very steep making it difficult to get in and out of, room smelled extremely moldy, there were no light bulbs, no towels, security lock was broken and dinner choice was only chicken. The only positive was the staff was very friendly.
My favorite part about my trip was check out, hotel was very dirty smelled of vomit and marijuana the entire time, not to mention our room was dirty upon checking. Used condom on the side of the bed and used qtips and trash in the drawers and dirty sheets. When we asked if they could please change our sheets they seemed bothered The first night was kinda quiet, we were woken up at 3am to screaming coming from the hall, the people next door were extremely intoxicated, we informed the front desk and nothing was done. This hotel is similar to a fictional show called american horror story, I'm so glad that I left that hotel alive and std free from sitting on the toilet
The only nice thing was that it was close to the beach and the price There is no A/C!!!! No refrigerator, microwave, and TV wasn't functioning. Try staying at this hotel when it's super humid is the worst!! Rooms smelled moldy. My group moved to the Rosarito Beach Hotel!
phone didnt work, tv didnt work. Zero bathroom amenities. The elevators didnt work, and our neighbors were living in the hotel. Very interesting.
Decent beachfront location Pool and bar area Free breakfast Rooms old but pretty clean Bar staff was nice Got free beer while waiting in line for check in Too far from main beach area for me ie. papas and beer (10-15 minute walk) Property is very old and run down Wifi in lobby works but does not work in rest of hotel (even though it says there's a signal). A real bummer Charged extra $10 for checking out 30 minutes late (hotel wanted $20, which is more than 1/2 of one night, but talked them down) Elevator is rickety and awful. Often got stuck for 1-2 minutes, and many buttons didn't work at all No aircon Not recommended to stay, go elsewhere even if it means spending a bit more
Maybe the location was the only thing i like This is a run-down hotel that needs a lot of love. The building from the outside looks decent but there are a lot of opportunities. The carpet on the hallways look like they are 50 or more years old and the rooms lack a lot of attention (maintenance and housekeeping). This hotel needs a very engage manager
The location was pretty good and felt pretty safe. The hotel lied, there was no balcony there was no bath tub, the room didn't look like the pictures at all. And the bed was like sleeping on a rock.
Friendly staff Room service could have been faster
Rooms are close to street and car noises cant be ignored.
breakfast was very good the orange juice was fresh squeezed staff very helpful and attentive
We've always stayed at this hotel In Rosarito. Very central location.
Nothing. The room smelled badly, the WIFI did not work at all, front desk could not get me a phone number I really needed, the pillows were very uncomfortable, there where little black ants everywhere...
I highly recommend this hotel, The rooms are clean, The staff super friendly!! I loved everything!
Love the location and the privacy. It's a safe place and kids are comfortable walking around alone. Love the fact that we can play tennis and go on a peaceful walk. It's convenient to have a restaurant, bar and a oxxo steps away from your room. We have been staying here for years. We know the staff and vice versa by now. But over the years te grounds of the hotel seem to be getting less and less maintained. The pool is always dirty and the grounds smell of manure? We continue to come back because of the privacy and the fast pass and great rates. But after years of staying here we will be planning our vacation elsewhere. Our kids are now at the age they want to be in the pool all time and do activities. It was something we passed off when they were younger but now literally everytime we visit the pool is green dirty and the jacuzzi never works and there is always something wrong with our room. We had to change rooms 4 times in one day due to broken toilet, broken tub, AC not working etc.. It's so sad this once great hotel is taking a plunge.
The area Peaceful Clean Got an upgraded room Could have had an actual continental breakfast included. It was more like bread and butter, orange juice and coffee plus pastries
I liked the view. Place smells bad. The swimming pool is dirty. kitchen cabinets handle missing. Not a very good breakfast. I would not recommend to take your family to this resort.
The location was excellent. Was a bit away from downtown but you can catch the bus for 80 cents. you can walk either right or left on the main road and find great food. Go left and you will find a great taco shop but be ready to hit a language barrier. Go right and you will find an excellent seafood shop with english speaking waitresses. Our room was right above the bar and they played loud music which kept us up past 12 at night. I would definitely stay again but would demand that I be put in room other than room 201
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is located right on the beach. Great food at reasonable prices for a resort. The rooms are nice. Nothing extravagant, but you definitely feel at home in them, especially with the sound of the ocean constantly filling the air. No fridge or microwave in the room we stayed in, but there are small stores and restaurants nearby, and downtown is just about a ten minute walk away. I would totally recommend this place to anybody looking to experience Rosarito, but who would prefer the sounds of the sea at night over the bass thumping rattling of windows.
The clean room. The view. The parking. Everything was great!
cozy place to stay very welcoming would stay here again WiFi sucks!
I slept Employees and not friendly at all! On in check in the group of girls were. After that no. The "included breakfast" was a joke! A bag of milk and an apple. Rooms were "remodeled"!!! Haha ya like 10 years ago. The casino dealers were not consistent. Some burn cards some don't. ThE beautiful pool dont have water in it. But last but sure not least, BUGSSSS!!! We had 4 rooms and bugs in them. Disgusting. Very upset the way employees handled our company and will NEVER return if it's up to me. I will be sure to refer yu all my enemies
The view, like any beachfront property Run down hotel. very poor maintenance. bad quality mattresses. Stained sheets. Very used towels. Small toilet. Felt very un-clean. Just cheap all around.
Best part of the hotel is the ocean view. It sits cliff side with easy access to the beach below The mattress was old/lumpy The slider didn't lock Sheets and pillow cases were dirty
Waterfront Poorly taked care of. The room smelled a lot like chlorine and very noisy. We paid too much for what we got. We will never be back again. Looks like they opened an abandoned building just to rent some rooms. The beds were very old and the sheets were ripped. More like a motel. Don't do it unless they have some improvements
I have stayed here about 6 times and this time it was horrific! The hotel is under new management and they are horrible. The front desk staff was very rude and not helpful at all. Never coming back here again
It had a pool and great staff security all around the clock Bed are uncomfortable no fridge in the room no microwave wifi is not great
Very Friendy Staff. Excellent Shuttle service. We had a room next to the ice machine which was a bit loud but not too bad.
The rooms were nice n clean. The staff was very friendly. Very helpful. My stay wall overall good. The only thing was a concert that was going on somewhere near with very loud music and dj. Other that the room and location were good.
A.C Was to noise
It is close to places I wanted to go: border, USA consulate, nice restaurants. Thanks to this location we discovered Pampas restaurant, Brazilian cuisine. The bathroom didn't smell good. It seems that the ventilator didn't do its job. The sink is not deep enough to clean the hands, even though it seems fancy. TV is terrible, the signal was very weak. There was no wifi signal in our first day. On the second day, it was good. This hotel is 4 star (Mexican's standard) and pricey. The quality is worse than those without star and cheaper in San Diego or USA.
After running a half marathon nothing beats a nice hot tub with natural thermal waters It was hot in tijuana that day and no AC in the hall ways
Nos agrado nuestro estancia en el lugar cerca de centros commercials, mercados y bancos .,cinco minutes en carro..y Clark de adradables y ricks restaurantes.. Lo principal,no fumamos lo cual fuera de humo..regresariamos...
We were given a room that was already occupied, but the lady at the front desk was amazing and wonderful and apologetic -- she fixed the problem instantly . . . by upgrading us to a suite, which we hadn't asked for! For a new building, it sure creaks like an old one . . . when somebody above, below, or on the side moves. And the windows are pretty thin for an urban setting; those late-night sirens don't make it inside at some other hotels, but they rang loud-and-clear here.
Hotel was clean, sleek, looked new, had friendly staff, free breakfast buffet which was delicious, complimentary shuttle, 1 pm check out time.. Hard bed
Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Pleasant room for a budget hotel. No safe in room.
