The Hotel de Bourgtheroulde and Spa is a 16th-century listed historic property in the heart of the ancient capital of Normandy, Rouen, home to the Vikings in France, fiefdom of William the Conqueror, Henry II Plantagenet, Richard the Lion Heart and the site of the burning of Joan of Arc. This boutique Normandy hotel features a 700 sqm spa and houses an indoor 18/9m swimming pool, steam bath, sauna, gym and 8 treatment rooms. A fine dining restaurant, a bar in the atrium, or the historic courtyard complete the experience. 5 function rooms for up to 300, extensive public areas, a perfect location in the city center, 5mn walk from the railway station, the Cathedral, Museum and all places of interest in the historic area. Rouen is one hour from Paris on the way to D-Day beaches and Mont St Michel, on the main motorway from the Chunnel to the south of France and at the heart of the Impressionists' favorite sites. Monet and Pissarro painted extensively in Rouen and around.

Other than the breakfast which was awful, the hotel was excellent! Highly recommended! The staff are also highly professional and lovely!
