9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really enjoyed our stay here. Expensive but worth it. Staff could not have been nicer with a special mention for Madison at the front desk who was super helpful and generally delightful.
Cons: Nothing except perhaps that our room was miles down a corridor and then up a flight of stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The historic aspect of it. The hotel was created as a private club in 1886 by the social elite of the time: the Rockefellers, the Goulds, The Morgans, the Astors, etc. and that history still pervades the place. I also loved the grounds and the shuttle!
Cons: The room was a titch small, but fine for our needs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property. Felt like we were transported back 100 yrs. Property is well maintained and very clean. However, the buildings are over 100 yrs old. The history of this island and the Club is fascinating.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent and the staff was very attentive.
5.8 Okay
Cons: We were expecting a beautiful room. It was a room, not fancy at all, without a real window! Just a fragment of a window in a corner! We asked to change that room with a one with a window and the person at the reception was kind enough to do it. The breakfast room was very disappointing, motel style.

Cons: Read above all in one summary.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Deb was the most gracious Innkeeper. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are BIG and BEAUTIFUL. Clean and neat. The grounds are pretty and relaxing. I felt at home. Location is perfect to everything on St Simons Island. Can’t wait to return.
Cons: That we could not stay longer.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, beautiful garden and pond, amazing breakfast, afternoon hors d’oeuvres and wine, private, tranquil yet close to shopping.
Cons: Bed in room was a double and too small for my boyfriend and I but we wanted a room with a balcony so we took it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were truly impressed with the welcome and warmth of the entire staff. Especially our innkeeper, Debi. Everyone was very accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Nellie was wonderful as was George our chef. Food delicious. I think I gained 5 pounds. We would book a stay again. Close to everything, but far enough away to experience solitude. Our room was immaculate and had several amenities.
Cons: This is a non-smoking facility and I am a smoker. Would like to have had a designated smoking area outside and away from people. I would never smoke in an enclosed area. For me , it presented a bit of a problem. On the up side, I did smoke less because I couldn't smoke at the inn.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our breakfast was really delicious! Prepared just as we specified! The location was very convenient yet private.
Cons: The pillows were a little too soft.

7.4 Good
Pros: nice updates on 1st floor, lighter, much more pleasant. Love fire pit on deck. Helpful, friendly staff. Lovely quaint and large bedroom.
Cons: Really miss having USB access in room...difficult to access in limited business area.
5.7 Okay
Cons: Room was advertised as "partial ocean view" but that was not really accurate. Disappointing, as the selection of the type of room was a big part of the stay and the plan was to at least have a partial view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Compact. Easy to get around. Elegant. Historic yet modern. Great staff. Nice , quiet rooms. Highly recommend.
Cons: Not much to dislike. There were some rednecks with their tailgates down drinking beer outside my balcony I could have done without due to a preference for privacy. They weren’t loud or disrespectful. Just more of a “go to the beach or a common area and drink. Don’t do it in the parking lot.” I still gave a one off because I doubt they expected that kind of issue
5.4 Okay
Pros: Beautiful ocean view & wonderful setting
Cons: It was not worth the money & our room was not clean & We found palmetto bugs in our Room 2 different days & some very small back bugs The rooms in the ocean front Building need to be updated & cleaned thoroughly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful very close to ocean walking distance from downtown!
Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food at the Echo restaurant was also very good. Great value overall.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Pools very nice. A nice little bar/restaurant area 1 block away if you want to get a bite to eat. Beautiful beach.
Cons: The bathroom was not up to far also stepped into tub/shower and it was very slippery and fell on my butt. Paid for a beach front room and it was more like a beach front room behing the trees. Also front desk staff was a little unfriendly.
7.5 Good
Pros: We had a great view of the beach, the beds were very comfortable and location was great.
Cons: Roaches in our room and cold food served in dining room. I spoke to several staff about live roaches and removing a dead one from our room. Also rooms could use a refresh.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent property, beautiful view and amazing suite, we will be back!
Cons: If I had to be picky, a couple of the light bulbs/switches were out, but that’s a easy fix!

Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is the prettiest I noticed on the beach, beautiful lawn, excellent pool, fantastic old live oak trees and easy access to the beach. There is a restaurant right next door for meals.
Cons: The coffee set up in the room was adequate, a keurig. There was no liquid creme in the room though, only prepackaged powder packets. The mini, individual flavored creamers would be an improvement.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, the room was amazing, the view, heated pool, beautiful firepit, comfortable lawn chairs with a beautiful view of the ocean, the beautiful well trim oak tree, Complimentary drinks in the Room. I had no choose but to meditate about life, love and the pursuit of happiness. Who knew.
Cons: Well 2 days before I got there I got a call asking me if a needed anything done before I got there, the second call the morning before 7 am tell me my room was ready;I'm like what very awesome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was in town with a few friends from school. We had a great time. We also went back and forth from St Simons and the drive was not bad at all. The value considering the proximity to the beach is amazing.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing! They were friendly and offered advise for the island. The location was perfect and the pool and fire pit were also great extras.
Cons: The room was a little small but it was clean and we had a great view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was welcoming, and accommodating. I would recommend staying here. The grounds are beautiful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is beautiful and the accommodations fresh, modern, and updated.
3.1 Mediocre
Pros: Little to nothing after location
Cons: I'm a seasoned traveler - stayed here on a recommendation. The curtains weren't hung, the carpet was dirty, the glass tabletop in front of the microwave was filthy, there were rare electrical wires sticking out of the wall, the bathroom had only a small portion of toilet paper - had to go get my own, the shower had black mold growing all over the the corners, the AC had no adjustments, the sheets were tread-bare, and on and on - then outside there were people sitting and blocking the walkway, smoking and drinking and yelling until after 11pm - then no maid service - never go there!

9.0 Excellent
Pros: It's very nice and clean.
Cons: The staff was nice but very slow. Asked for extra towels took 2 hours one time and never got them the next day. Also used valet and called down over 30 min before we came down and they still didn't have the car there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance close to all the places we wanted to go . Everyone was very friendly and helpful . Awesome view of the beach and ocean . Loved our stay and will be back .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff. Easy check in, easy parking or the option to pay for valet. Shuttle available to take you anywhere on the island, it comes back to pick you up!! Rooms were a good size and the bed was comfy. Location was perfection, partial ocean view room was awesome and did in fact have a really good view of the ocean!! Close to shops and to have the option to walk around and not have to drive. Restaurant and bar were amazing, comparable rates to other Places. Dinner was delicious, the wine menu was a bit lacking in our opinion but we know we are picky so we weren’t bothered by this. Breakfast had a buffet option or single orders. Lots of options!! Very worth the flat rate to be able to pick and choose what you want. Fire pit and chairs were Perfect for enjoying the outdoors. The viewing deck above the bar also gave amazing views of the beach and water. Pet friendly is our biggest selling point. Dog bag stands on the property and easy access to grassy areas and the beach made life easy.
Cons: The shower and sink had low water pressure. The modern design of the shower was nice but the floor was slippery and could be dangerous is you are not expecting the slant. Like I mentioned above, the wine menu was a bit disappointing but not a deal breaker. The breakfast buffet had fresh made to order eggs/omelets but the prepared eggs seemed like powder eggs. The orange juice tasted very watered down. My biggest issue which I have never experienced before was that I was charged 3 different times, once when booking the hotel, and then twice (pending) during my stay. The total of all charges was WAY more than what my total bill ended up being. I understand holds on a credit card for incidentals but this was crazy. I called and was told to wait 3-5 business days to have it cleared up. It’s just shocking to look at your credit card and see those charges. Next time I’d rather not put anything else on the room since I believe this what caused the extra pending charges, And just pay with my debit/cash for bar charges/dinner.
10.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great place to stay on Jekyll Island: well located, reasonably priced & immaculately clean. Not fancy, but more than satisfactory.
Cons: Don’t recommend ground floor room. With no carpeting in the units, the transfer of sound from the 2nd floor is quite significant.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was nice. Pool was great. When I had a problem with my initial room, the staff were excellent about taking care of things.

Pros: We were going to the island to bike ride but was very surprised in the evening. The historical part of the island was lite up everywhere. We felt like we were in a Christmas Hallmark Movie. A must see!
Cons: Everything was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, friendly staff, and large clean rooms.
Cons: Nothing, but just to let people know, there is a fee to get on the island. I think it was $8 a day.

6.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The breakfast was not that great, I know it was continental breakfast , but I have seen better before.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: AC leaked water
6.3 Good
Pros: Not the outrageous charges
Cons: The wrong charges on my credit card and no help fixing it
5.8 Okay
Pros: This is a great location-close to shops and restaurants and the facility I was visiting on the island.
Cons: The main problem was that our electronic door key did not work for the three days we were there. The floors were covered with sand, evidetnly they do not vacuum/sweep them. The bath towels were paper thin and very rough. The need to invest in nice towels and then launder them using a softener. Checking out was an issue, as they would not print me an invoice, stating they did not want their prices shown.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location, nice housekeepers (maids)
Cons: Did not like the breakfast. Sheets and towels were old and worn, especially the sheets
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Older property well maintained
Cons: Nothing negative about the property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. While not super close to the public beach accesses, it was a block away from the downtown area on the island.
Cons: Continental breakfast wasn't superb, but an excellent breakfast restaurant named Palm Coast was less than 2 minutes away.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and the staff was nice. Only a short walk to food and shopping. Overall we had a pleasant stay.
Cons: The Tv was small and the sound was bad. Had to turn it all the way up to be able to hear it. And the Danish for breakfast was a bit stale and the coffee was just Luke warm.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Like the location and balcony. Bed was comfy but just needed more blanket. Free breakfast. Love the floors
Cons: Didn’t have personal shampoo/conditioner bottles and no lotion at all. They had the shampoo/soap/conditioner on the wall with cheap labels on them and they leaked. Ac was a window unit type and the fan never turned off. The rooms looked outdated. Room smelled like a smoker. Lobby also smelled bad
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Bathroom was not as clean as it could’ve been. There iare no coffee makers in the rooms.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: It was dirty

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy access to the beach and to the main highways in Brunswick. Free internet access in the room was a plus. Check-in and check-out were very simple. All-in-all, it was an easy, hassle-free experience.
Cons: I could hear water going through the pipes when the toilet in the room above me was flushed but other than that it was as advertised and as expected. Also, I think the price at $150/night was a bit high for a 3-star hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Controlling tempature in room
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Free Breakfast
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice variety at breakfast.
Cons: Was put into a handicapped accessible room that we did not request. Difficult to bathe with seat in shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room and location
Cons: Check out time of 11, and not being able to extend it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was friendly.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything else about my stay was top notch!! The staff, the amenities, location, cleanliness, etc was very nice and speaks well of the staff and the location, itself.
Cons: I paid extra for a room with a private balcony to view the ocean. I was on the top floor, at the farthest end of the hotel. The view from my balcony, and everyone else who had a balcony, was of tree growth. You could hear the ocean, but not see it!! Not what I expected, not what I would have booked, had I known. The balcony was the big selling point for my booking, and the fact that I wouldn't be able to see the sea, should have been disclosed... But wasn't!!!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The pool is nice
Cons: The beach is not accessible for persons in a wheelchair, The bar takes the liberty of adding on their own tip, be cautious, and finally make sure you get to the breakfast bar early, otherwise they “run” out of food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value , very clean and friendly hotel. Fantastic room with a lovely balcony ( although you don't get a sea view you look out onto the trees and sand dunes). Very easy parking Breakfast standard but OK. Great coffee. Outdoor areas well kept with lovely boardwalk to the beach.
Cons: not much really.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel features, boardwalk, pool
Cons: Could have been cleaner in the bathroom
9.0 Excellent
Pros: ambiance
Cons: the style of the shower made the entire bathroom floor wet!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The hotel was nice location was nice but that young lady does not need to be in hospitality if I was a mean person I would have sued I got a cracked ribs from the fall ruined my trip no anri sljp anything in bathroom or shower
Cons: It was nice at the hotel but I had a bad fall on Sunday in the shower I was hurt pretty bad I called the front desk and the girl was very rude and yelled what do you want me to do call 911... Never did I get a are you okay is there anything we can do my heart is broke it was my husband's 50th birthday and it was ruined never again will I stay there .. that really stings because Jekyll is our favorite place on Earth.

Pros: The hotel far exceeded our expectations. The room and pool were clean and was very inviting. The view of the airport was a plus for my 6-year-old. Smores each night by the fire pit was an unexpected bonus as well. We would definitely stay here again!
Cons: The fold-out sofa was squeaky and uncomfortable.
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything was fine good room that actually smelt and was clean and good ppl at front desk had a good time kids get to watch planes coming and going but u couldn't hear them inside

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Village Inn and Pub. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms upscale and clean, the hospitality wonderful and the overall picture absolutely the best!! ( RB the bartender is so charming and hospitable to all.) I would give it a resounding 5 stars!!!
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect. The Pub was much fun.
Cons: The second day we were there, we came back from town around 1:00 PM and our room was still not cleaned. We had to run down the Maid and request she do our room next. Also, when AC was running, esp. in other rooms, it was very noisy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very charming place. Right across the street from restaurants and very short walk to the water.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the access to the beach straight from the hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We had an amazing experience. It was just wonderful.
Cons: Would have loved more towels.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Close to beach. Nice size suite.
Cons: Broken toilet with no one available to fix it, balcony door would not lock, TV in bedroom stopped working, hot water leak very bad in bathroom, bathroom in disrepair.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was just as described and as pictured. It was extremely clean and we had everything we needed. The staff was super friendly and responded to an issue with the sliding glass door lock immediately. Family members mentioned that they would return to Sea Gate Inn in the future if in the area again. The living room was so comfortable, nice couch and chairs, very tasteful decor and lots of room. Lovely furniture in the bedroom, also with a TV. They had a crib all set up for our grand daughter, which was greatly appreciated. With two queen beds in the bedroom there was still plenty of space. The beds were comfortable. There was a normal sized hair dryer and a good sized walk in closet with an ironing board and iron. There was a very nice large walk in tiled shower and a great jetted bathtub! There were two separate areas in the bathroom with sinks, which was great so we weren't crowded getting ready. All the amenities you needed. The pool looked nice, very clean, too, but we missed enjoying it because of time constraints and then a thunder storm. Nice kitchen, just enough of what you need with a good size refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and a dishwasher. A great dining room table. Best part is that they have room service every day, too! Its a quick drive to the street with all the shops and restaurants or a nice leisurely walk to get there. Again, I can't rave about how very clean our room was. Nice covered parking (free) under the building with the elevators or stairs only steps away.
Cons: I loved the view, but it looks like it will be going away when there is a new complex built on the lot in front of it. I'd still stay there, as you will see the ocean view once you are out and about and you will be happy enough in your comfortable room. The only downside was that we had one floor above us with guests that sounded like they were moving furniture across the floors for hours into the night. The slightest movement of chairs and opening the sliding glass door above us made it sound like elephants walking and as though it was thundering. I'd request to be on the top floor next time.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location. Size of the rooms and space.
Cons: Was a little more expensive given there were no 'hotel' amenities (e.g., restaurants, etc on property)>
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location - within walking distance of both the pier and restaurants.
Cons: The beds were NOT king size as we expected. The kitchen blind would not stay open - and would not swing due to the faucet's height so "pool view" was an exaggeration!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfy, shower nice, loved having 2 sinks in bath area. Nice enough furniture in living area.
Cons: We really liked everything. However the furniture on the outside patio was not real comfy, but we know that outdoor furniture has to be weather proof.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!!!! This was the resort I was looking for. A very relaxing vacation. The staff was exceptional and always greeted us by name;) Rose Marie was very attentive to making sure my special son’s needs were met, she’s certainly an asset to The Lodge.
Cons: The pillows. I’m not a fan of feather pillows and the replacement pillows were a stiff foam.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Lodge is truly the most magical and beautiful vacation I’ve ever been. The avenue of the oaks greets guests with awe-inspiring views, and it only gets better from there. Between the friendly staff, the isolated pool overlooking the sound, and the nightly bagpiper and cookies in my room, this is the trip of a lifetime that I would recommend to anyone. The hotel is full of rich leathers, antique rugs, and charming golf references. It’s a calming environment that we didn’t want to leave!
Cons: I can’t even think of something I didn’t like at the Lodge. The fact that the self park was charged $20 a day felt a little over the top, but probably my only critique.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quality and service.
Cons: Would have been nice to have so plates and flatware in the cottage.
