The outdoor pool was fabulous. You have to rent pool towels, it is a bit of a walk to town and the room should contain at least a bar fridge.
Location and grounds
Very clean, Good Breakfast, Beautiful grounds,Friendly staff,Excellent WiFi.Would go there again
services, facilities, nice hotel yes, the reception staff wasn1t too helpful, gave wrong, incorrect information
The location, cleanliness of the hotel, the warm reception and best of all the comfortable room. Breakfast service was below average with poor service.
Superb pool. Excellent choice at breakfast. Lovely gardens. Great location. Decent room.
Quiet Location, Clean, Lovely Pool area Breakfast service rather disorganised not enought staff. Cleaning fluid in bedroom strong unpleasant smell
Food,Staff,Location No real sea view
Hotel staff was very friendly, atmosphere of the swimming-pool area inside and outside very clean. The garden with the trees and the possibility to eat breakfast outside very nice. The back-ground music in the evening was not the right music for such a lovely hotel. It was more or less "disco-music" and not dinner-music :-( The hotel staff stopped the music after my comment about "good music" :-)
I think the location of the hotel is good and it's quiet and peaceful off season. the service of the staff in the restaurant. the hotel is refined I believe and the staff needs to be likewise for such a location. as well the bed in our room was too small for a couple.
the location is nice it is no way worth a 4 stars - confort is basic, prices for food and beverage exorbitant and room comfort is basic necessity
The view is amazing. Location is OK close to ST. Maxime. With some more maintenance it could be a 5 star hotel.
It was very difficult to drive and find it at night time. The room had ants and was barely a 3 star. Needed to use 3 different elevators to get from parking garage to room. Plumbing fixtures in bathroom were cheap and malfunctioned.
view, comfort, swimming pool the two elevators, the long distance to the centrum
if anyone wants to play golf the view is very nice it wasnt what I excpected and not worth de value at all. I was very disppointed by the staff, indeed, they didnt pick up my suitcase, the doorman just gave me a trolley so i could do it myself when i arrived, also even though the sign "do not disturb" was on the door they came inside my room. I dont think this hotel deserve four stars and i dont recommended it to anyone.
Room service was efficient. Golf course was testing and on the doorstep. Views magnificent. The hotel is a little tired and the staff though friendly and helpful seem unmotivated. It is quite a distance from town and a car is definately needed during your stay.
The views were amazing! The facilities were outstanding. The bar and hotel were outrageously expensive. The hotel is out on it's own and we had no choice due to time but to eat there. It cost us a small fortune!
The swimming pool and breakfest room also the entrence was very nice Explenation first time in terrible English. Not enough explanation about the hotel .To high on a mountain.Room was very poor.
The pool was pretty big for the hotel so I liked stay there, and the wue from the window. Staff should speak in english sometime was too difficult explain what we want!
The room is old and not at good level for this hotel 4 stars .Need to rebuilt the room
For a three star hotel we were presently surprised. A pleasant walk 8 minute walk to the centre of St Maxime. Driving to St Tropez was a nightmare, worse traffic than London, however the boat trip from St Maxime to St Tropez was wonderful even in wild weather. The room we had only had a shower, however it had a wicked sea view, was clean and more than acceptable. Non
This is great value! The wamest welcome possible from the lovely Juliette!! All staff were very caring...the restaurant was excellent...the location superb...and the village of Sainte Maxime much better than St Tropez!
Excellent location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant served food of a high quality and reasonably priced. Pool very good. Good room with sea and pool view. Hotel within walking distance of harbour and town Only down side in high season is that parking is not always easy but you always find a spot eventually.
Too far away from bus stop..when booked online it said free internet (actually cost money to use).
Very clean and probably the best staff in france-excellent
The staff were incredibly friendly & we could not have had a warmer welcome when we arrived. The room was comfortable & it was a nice suprise not to find an additional bed in our room for our son, but a seperate bedroom with bunk beds in. Breakfast was excellent value. The hotel is within an 8 minute easy, beautiful walk into Sainte Maxime along the seafront. N/A
Staff were excellent, so nice and went out of their way to assist us. Even though the room was not appropriate, they allowed us to change it so we had more room for 3 people. Overall Excellent service, felt like a family run hotel, were nothing was a issue. No.... everything was great
Very good service from competent staff. Friendly and welcoming in a good location.
Kamer, met uitzicht op zee,op de derde verdieping is grandioos.Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Mooie leeshoek, lekkere keuken in halfpension.
Beautiful views of ocean below. An amazing large terrace. Good breakfast. Infrastructure. Terrible wi-fi, front-desk would close at 12 and not even a phone call could be transferred to the a room, etc.
wellcoming staff and good location
Friendly, cosy hotel with excellent breakfast served on the sunny terrace
Friendly and central no
Very well located with a beautiful pool. Very friendly staff. Wall were quite thin...
The location was perfect, close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Nice, relaxing pool area. Staff was very helpful and pleasant, and spoke good english. We would definitely stay there again!
The friendly and helpfull staff, the pool, the location-close to beach
We spent our holiday in 5 hotels in France in last 10 days. This hotel was the bast one. Nice and clean room. Our room was very silence - window to the pool. Nice and very good breakfast. Short walk to the beach and city centre.
Eccellent staff. Very good location for a visit in St Maxim and St Tropez. I have nothing to complain about. Very good value for money.
The staff and breakfast were wonderful
It was easy to find and the hotel staff was friendly. The lobby could have been more inviting. They should do a renovation.
Location, staff very helpful
Nice clean room with a superb view of the beach. Nice & helpful staff working at the front desk.
Great view off the balcony. Beach directly across street. Very quiet hotel with gated parking on site. Staff was very nice and helpful. The only negative about the hotel was the location. It was about a 8 minute drive to the town of St. Maxime. We were hoping to be able to walk to town for dinner, nightlife, etc.
General services of the hotel, garden, views of some rooms directly over the parking.
It was very good location, infront of the beach, close to the center. The wall was very thing, I guess. It was very noisy. You could hear all the noise the other guests made. Also there was a wedding reception in the hotel restraunt infront of our room at one night and the loud miusic & the fireworks went on until after 1:00am ! At least the hotel should have informed us about this event or they should have stopped the racket before the midnight.
Without a car, quite a walk to Sainte Maxime centre (30 minutes). Infrequent buses between Oct - April make getting around quite difficult.
The staff were so nice and accommodating. Even if it was a short 2 days stay, we felt that we are very welcome. My wife and I liked the hotel location, design and environment. Worth the price we paid though it was unfortunate that it was raining during our entire stay. Off season...no life....raining!
Proximity to the beach, friendly and helpful staff, Connection with Mario plage, parking. Breakfast options were limited but OK. + for option to have it on balcony of the room
small easy to find and close to the see. the first nigth the room smelled really hard to cigarrate, I needed to put out of the room pillows and bed sheets to be able to sleep , next day was ok till we left.
Staff Distance from town
Lovely pool and patio area; nice breakfast and helpful staff.
Beatiful grounds and buildings. Beautiful terraces on rooms overlooking pool. Within 5min drive of main beach in St. Maxime. Extremely pleasant staff despite a language barrier. Quiet.
eater was fantastic in early Sept. but the hotel was very relaxed Management spoke very good englishWe thought the breakfast was all you needed and was all you want buffet not cooked although eggs were avaialble at extra cost. Could have offered tea/coffee making in the room but there is a minibar at reasonable prices ( for hotels)
We stayed 2 nights and it was a good location for seeing the surrounding area. Staff were helpful and pleasant and the area is lovely.
the owners and the staff were very nice, and helpful.it is a very relaxing and enjoyable quiet hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the interior very nicely kept up no complaints at all
the hotel staff was excelent, she was very nice and helped us a lot it wasnt so near st tropez as I thought first, I didn t consider the traffic jam in this season, but the town of st maxime is very beautuful too, and full of places to eat al night
Very nice room, the whole setting of the hotel is pretty, excellent outdoor pool (heated!). Good value for money. We did not try the breakfast. Room facing the street a bit loud despite closed shutters.
Very nice room, clean and airy. I would say it is more of a Bed and Breakfast rather than a hotel. There were no hotel services to speak of. Hotel staff were not very friendly or service oriented. Although only 1km from Sainte Maxime to go on foot meant to walk along a busy road. Overall disappointing.
The staff was really nice. It's a comfortable resort with a nice swimming pool for a good value for money. Carpets on the floor are not hygienic and a bit too 80's. The toilet does not have much light.
Nice location, excellent garden, friendly stuff
Great garden, incredible dinner menu, a few friendly staff who persevered with our average french, private parking, good proximity to pont du gard and surrounding area, incredible old building, pretty little pool area. The price of dinner. Although it looked fabulous we couldn't quite bring ourselves to pay about £100 a head not including wine/water and opted for tapas in the local pub instead.
Very good location, near the beach and the citycenter. Good price. Near the Saint Tropez, but Saint Maxime is it a very nice city.
Close to the beach, the city center, the restaurants and the shopping streets. Parking is not easy, but you can park 5 minutes away for free (but filled during peak hours). The beach nearby is the town beach which is not as good as the ones out of town.
Location was perfect, right in downtown, very close to all the restaurants and to the beach. The fridge was empty, we had to find a trick to make the shower work, the bathroom was very large.
value for money It was a two star hotel instead of e three star hotel
The Staff were so friendly and helpful. A lovely garden to the rear where breakfast was served The bathroom needed to be improved
This hotel provided service and attention to us, that truly was deserving an extra star in hotel's rating. We enjoyed quietness in the room and convenient location to the beach. Staff was very helpful.
The location is good. Nice staff. Nice small garden. Very, very basic, old furnishing. It needs a total renovation. Sorry I won’t stay again.
Hotel was comfotable and centrally located. Staff were very hospitable and helpful to any questions I had. Bad coffee
Hard to find if you are driving. There were a lot of mosquitos in the room. We killed 9 mosquitos!!!
old hotel- need some work to give it a fresher and modern look. The staff doesn't speak english, just one guy speak a bit of Italian and they are close to Italy!!
Staff. Location. Breakfast Tired decor for the price. But location is what you are apying for I guess.
Good location, nice old building, very friendly stuff, about 15 km to Saint Tropez by car or by boat Rooms are a little old but well kept and clean
The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and very affordable.
It is close to the port! The hotel is very low quality and dirty. I think it is not fit to the 3 star hotel. They promised airconditioning, but they don't have!!!!! We couldn't sleep becsue the hot. They don't have parking, but they mentioned. We could park a public parking place for the very high cost. I have to wait 40 minutes to start parking.
The personnel was very friendly and helpful. They showed a great hospitality towards us. The room was clean but the furnitures were very old fashioned. However, size of the room & bathroom was large enough to cover our needs that we stayed comfortably. There was not any breakfast service. The location of the hotel is very good. Just in the centre of St Maxim. There was a "rent a bike" shop acroos the hotel where you can easily rent yoiur scooter and discover St Tropez for 35 minutes (20km) drive both at night and day. Otherwise you should bare the long long traffic on the cost , which may take at least 2 hours to reach St Tropez in high season. For this reason, with this reasonable price, location of the hotel was perfect to enjoy St Tropez Make an investment onto the rooms for a renovation
Nice hotel, located very central. There is no free wifi internet in the common aereas on the hotel, eventhough the info on booking.com said so.
You get what you pay for, but the location was perfect.
The staff were delightful and very helpful in both English and French. The location was perfectly situated between two delightful towns. The food and wines were excellent.
It' s position on the seafront and the friendly reception
Great location, delightful and friendly owners. Hotel had a a very personal feel about it.
It was a very pleasant expirience! We went with our family and enjoyed every day of it. The stuff was welcoming and friendly, which only added to the positive emotions we got from the trip!
Clean and comfortable
everything ,especially the way we were treated
Nothing at all the location quality of the rooms and cleaniless issues were not good at this hotel I ddn't like anything in the hotel, they didn't even provide bed sheets or towels. the whole experience was a nightmare as they also lied about the location of the hotel as it wasn't 7 km but 20km.l
Pros family run business.really clean. the beach in front of the hotel is quite good and has beds, food and drinks for a reasonable price. there is a marina in a door step where is possible to get a boat to reach saint tropez which is handy during the peak season to avoid traffic and parking issues. Cons there was no flexibility at all to get a late check out or even showers facilities after that which is not good for a beach hotel!! Lights sensors might be annoying during the shower as they turned off quickly. some double beds (we stayed in different bedrooms) are not that comfortable. curtains do not cover the sun light. parking is for free but avaiable bays are not enough for every room. however, it is not too difficult to peak nearby.
The rooms were clean & modern. The staff were vey helpful & friendly. It is in an ideal location for the beach. Could do with a chest of drawers in the room.
very nice and comfort room we liked everything
The beach location is excellent. There is a direct path to the water. Our ground floor room had direct access to a small terrace. The hotel gardens are nicely planted. Breakfast was adequate and enjoyable. The hotel personnel pleasant and helpful. All in all, a bargain in this expensive region. The rooms do not seem to be very sound proof, not a big disadvantage in the low season.
Nice staff, very kind and always available. Good position, just 30m to the beach and very close to Saint Maxime and Saint Tropez (however you need a car). Design zen, nice bar, good swimming-pool.
Worst hotel I have been in years... Dirty, far from everything, especially from St. Tropez, the bathroom is not renovated is from 1960!!! We booked our room with terrace 3 months before and we arrived they gave us the worst room, no terrace, no nothing, views to the parking in the same level that the parking. We could touch our car from our window. Cleaning noise starting at 07:00 A.M. cos the owner is the same person that the reception person and the same person who cleans the hotel... So, she has to start cleaning at 07:00 A.M. to have plenty of time. only french spoken.
The hotel had a nice old style to it, the owners were super friendly and it was so near the beach. Also lots of places to eat on the beach in the evening. The breakfast was good, maybe 1 extra croissant was better, but i am sure if you would have asked the boss, it wouldn't have been a problem. The beach has white sand and is not over crowded, good !!
The fact it was set back from tha main road and had gardens surrounding it It made life very difficult to get to/from either Sainte Maxime main town or St Tropez, as on a very dangerous badly lit road
It's in front of the beach and very convinient if you plan to visit Saint Maxime, and not too far from Saint Tropez. There was no air conditioning on the room although they placed a big fan on the room which was greatly appreciated. If you plan to stay here to visit Saint Tropez, be aware that even it's just 15km from this hotel, it might take you up to 2h because of the traffic jam.
