Pros: good friendly personnel and good room for the value, great views of the mountain and they kept the snow out of the parking lot so that it was easy to move through.
Cons: winter and it was cold, AC/Heat stuck on and ran all night. just a hiccup in such a good location and views.

Cons: Bedding not changed: hair on sheets and pillows. Far down the list: foul smell from heater, bedside lamp switch defective, deadbolt lock not functional, key card (despite instructions) required multiple attempts on a cold 10pm night. Slept on the floor with clothes on. Ski day next day; attention is focused on new powder.

Pros: The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We usually have a 25' gooseneck trailer when we travel and Gateway has a nice big parking lot that is easy to navigate. No doubt we'll stay there the next time we're in Salida.

Pros: This looks like an old motel from the outside but the rooms have been extensively redone. I happened to chat with the owner/manager, who takes pride in running a tight ship.

Pros: The staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. It had a great selection to choose from.
Cons: We were told upon check-in that the entire area was without internet service.......meaning there was no internet service, no tv, no cellular service!!! They were as hospitable as they could but thought a reduced rate should have been offered.

Pros: Clean, nice staff, convenient location (on US 50), quaint rustic feel, laundromat on site. Quiet (they got me away from the hwy).
Cons: Room was very small, but they seemed to have other larger ones for the same price (maybe I got a small one because I requested away from the hwy). Bad leak in bathtub kept water running all night (but I slept OK because the AC fan muffled it).

Cons: There was an odor in my room-- old cigarette smoke mixed with cleaning product smell. My gear has this smell-- washing most of it and using baking soda/sunlight for gear that doesn't launder.

Pros: Nice people trying hard but need to focus on overall experience.
Cons: Check in advertised for 3 pm closed office till 3:30 Black out curtains were overstretched sheers, like sleeping under a light bulb. No shower curtain, had to ask. New vinyl floor had water pumping from underneath in bathroom. Bathroom door would not close all the way, would stick. No disposable cups in room. No accessible plugs for electronic device charging. Please check on habitability of room before renting. Slooow internet.
