3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The Breakfast was not good at all, you get one portion, one day it was a dry sandwich the other day a Sausage, both didn’t taste at all. Furthermore two dogs are constantly walking around in the open kitchen, the hosts are also touching the dogs while preparing the food. Wifi is Not available in the garden houses where we slept, it’s only working in the Kitchen. The host was friendly and gave us advices for beach and restaurant, but when going there, these adviced places weren’t good at all. Would never suggest these spots. If you want to go somewhere from Nagano house you always need bus or taxi, it’s not located close to any restaurant etc. There is no real door between bathroom and bedroom, the lockers on the garden house doors are not very strong / safe. We only stayed two nights and we were disappointed, the good reviews, especially about breakfast, we cannot understand.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I really liked that fact that it was more of a "house" than a typical hotel. The garden is beautiful, and everyone was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was a bit noisy since it was facing the street, but it was a good size. You can easily take the bus to any of the beaches.
Cons: I would have liked more fruit at breakfast and yogurt.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were great! Breakfast is very good, and each day they have a different menu. Rooms are clean and comfortable
Cons: Location is not bad, but you need to consider getting a bus or rent a golf car or moto to move around (but easy to organize)
6.3 Good
Pros: Very Comfortable room and A/C. Scooter rental was very handy !!
Cons: Breakfast was ok, it could been better! Staff make you feel like they doing you a favor for your stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms was very comfortable, delicious breakfast, friendly staff they helped us in everything, location near to the downtown
Cons: Leave the Island
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and communication of staff was very pleasant. Alejandro and his family are very lovely and attentive to your questions. They genuinely care about your concerns and questions. The location was perfect to us. It was approximately 5-10 mins away from the center of downtown but what is nice about it is that you are not too far away from things. If you want to go to the west side of the island you can access a shortcut very easily. Also you’re close to the alternative beaches which are not packed to the brim with tourists.
Cons: Possibly fresh towels every other day
Sunset Hotel - San Andrés - Building

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Sunset Hotel was an absolute pleasure to stay at. Honestly there is nothing they could improve on. The staff are incredible, the rooms are really big and clean, the breakfast offering was substantial and location was perfect if you are looking to be out of the bustle. Such great value for money.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff and facilities were great:)
Cons: The fridge in the room keep making a banging noise which kept us awake.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, nice location away from the busy town. Good snorkeling in front of the hotel.
Cons: Little far from the town center
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is great, and was very convenient to dive (our dive center was next door, Buconos)
Cons: The pool could have been cleaner (lot of sunscreen residues)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. Gabriel helped us tremendously while we were there! It was wonderful! I can’t stress enough how great our stay was! The hotel itself is small and comfortable. I felt like I was at home. The view across the way is great and the hotel has really earned its name.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were fabulous - so friendly. The hotel is so peaceful so it’s excellent for a few nights of relaxing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The customer service is great. We love the people who work at the Sunset Hotel! Super friendly and very accomodating. The location is beautiful and the breakfast that's included in the stay is great. It's also amazing to be able to cross the street and jump in the water whenever you feel like it. The water is so beautiful and clear - great for snorkeling or scuba diving!
Cons: The only thing I didn't love was out of the control of the hotel. The weather is really hot and humid in San Andres. This makes for great swimming and warm water, but not great for doing much else outside during the day.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located in the southern part of the island, the place is very quiet and perfect for relaxing. The beach is about 15 minutes walking. The buses past every 20 minutes and they go to the town. The room has air condition, the mattress ir very comfortable and kitchen well equipped. And the owners are just amazing, they give you a lot of tips and a trip to the nearby island in a glass boat is included in the price. Overall we had an amazing time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We received a very warm welcome from one of the owners, who seemed genuinely happy to have new guests. We could park our motorcycle inside of the gates. The room was very spacious, cosy and clean and had a nice little kitchenette. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. This was by far the nicest room we've stayed in in South America so far. The location is great as well, since it's far away from the busy town (close by motorcycle) and there's a nice snorkel spot nearby.
Cons: Nothing at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were awesome and extremely accommodating. They give us a great run down of the entire island, what to see and where to go and not go. The location is great and the bus system allows you to go anywhere on the island easily.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were really nice, gave us snorkelling gear and swim shoes to borrow and even took us on a boat trip to one of the islands (all for free!) The location is great, close to a swimming spot on the west coast, but the sandy beaches on the east coast are also easily reachable by bus (there's lots of busses) or by walking. Definitely recommend! One of the best places we've stayed in so far!
Cons: It was honestly totally perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Adriana and Pedro are really welcoming and worry about a great experience. It feels great to arrive and feel at home.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location away from main town so very quiet. Owners were so helpful. Air con was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host where amazing! They did all they can to help us and give a lot of information. The apartment is very conviniant and has good atmosfier, the kitchen is fully aquiped.
7.5 Good
Pros: Loved Pedro & Adriana - warm and genuine people with a sense of humour. Loved the location - far from the busy town part, but within a 10 minute walk you will find the best swimming spot. Pedro was a great communicator too - let us know to stop by the supermarket as there aren't many shops around the property; gave us a room that had cooking facilities; they even arranged for a guy to be at the property in case we arrived late as they had a prior appointment but they stayed as long as they could till we arrived - which we appreciated. They also did lots of favours for us which we appreciated. Do go out on the free glass bottom boat - it is such a treat which started our time in San Andres on a high. You'll need a scooter to get around but it is so worth it to get a real feel of the place, instead of staying in the busy part. Kind people we would love to see again.

6.3 Good
Pros: Ideal location, close to beach, shops and restaurants. Staff at reception were very helpful.
Cons: There was often music BLARING at the pool, not conducive to relaxation! Also, the service at breakfast was quite poor. Even though breakfast was served until 10, much of the food was gone by 9 and cutlery etc. cleared from the tables. Night shows and aerobics/dance classes were advertised, but were non-existent.. at least in our time at the hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was nice but there was not a bright variety. The Hotel itself had a good location, close to a nice beach. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Sadly, the pool was not really enjoyable since there are constructions currently next door. Wi-fi was also really bad. Breakfast was nice but there was not a lot to choose from and mostly the same.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: We booked for 4 days and had to leave on the second day for an unexpected emergency. Even after having informed the staff they didn’t refund us any money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, good AC, all the booze you could want, close to El Dorado, their sister hotel near the beach and from which you can get all the drinks you want too. Absent a couple of folks, the staff were great. The food is made for a Colombian audience, not a US audience, but that will be common at any hotel here. I will go back to Arenas Blancas
Cons: A couple of the staff should find mew careers
5.0 Okay
Pros: Localization
Cons: Very expensive hotel for a bad service! They’re not kind and don’t solve the problems. Earnings and money was stolen from the locker.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Super clean hotel, good WiFi, good breakfast
Cons: Not a beach hotel

Cons: Many rooms without windows, very basic rooms, no toiletries - only soap.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, comfortable beds, included a simple breakfast.
Cons: Rooms are bit outdated.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is very good. You can even walk (15 minutes) from the airport. Very close to the shopping area. Staff are friendly. Good updated facilities. Regatta restaurant (the best in town) is within walking distance.
Cons: Beware of the stairs if you have a lot of luggage.
2.9 Mediocre
Cons: Horrible stay at Nopblehouse San Andrez. Dirty room, hairs on the bed, dirty sheets, dirty shower, had to wera flip flops to take a shower! There's no window in the room! When we asked to change the room, the reception said that they could not help. The reception was very impolite and tried to trick us. We asked for a taxi in the morning and they said that it would cost 35000 COP! the taxi to the hotel cost us only 10000! so I guess 25000 goes to the receptionist! I am asking for an immediate refund for this horrible experience! Thank you!

7.9 Good
Pros: The place is quite far from the town so prepare to catch taxi or mototaxi both ways. However, it's quiet and it was a problem for me to find a quiet place on San Andres. There are two rooms for rent. Our was rather small but clean and comfy. The elder owner lady was very nice to us, even washed our clothes when we asked where was the laundry nearby. To get to the San Louis beach you have to walk about 1,5 km. The seaview from the balcony outside the room was stunning.
Cons: There is no shop nearby.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good hotel with comfortable studio apartments. Great location, right in front of the beach with many shops and restaurants around. Staff was really nice and helpful, especially the manager.
Cons: No Wi-Fi on the rooms, only in the public areas. Not enough pressure in the shower. Room could use some renovations.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was great, the location just on front of the beach, the staff was very polite and willing to help the tourists, especially Ninfa. The the rooms are clean enough...all we need were there. We were a family of 5 and we felt secure and safe. It make my expectations for the money I paid.
Cons: The bed was pretty hard and the shower in my bathroom wasn't working that good. We have the 3rd floor...coming from outside the country with big luggage was hard.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location and view
Cons: Property is really run down and not worth the price they charge to stay. No wifi in the rooms the shower was cold and the aircon didnt work. Im not sure how it has the booking.com rating it has. Maybe 5 years it would of 9/10 but not now.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: - clean room, although towels were missing in the first day - very close to the beach - beach towels a provided free of charge - generally very friendly staff
Cons: - hotel staff organizes tours but with very incompetent organizations (tour was supposed to start at 9AM, finally started at 11.45, no information on what happened or if there would be a tour was given) rather book with another organization - room looked different than on the pictures on booking.com, not quite as nice as shown - no early check-in possible
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great place, great location! Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable. Highly recommended
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, staff was really helpful.
Cons: Bed was really uncomfortable. The shower does not have a flower. No chairs whatsoever.

Pros: The food was excellent. Breakfast and Dinner was provided. The staff was super.
Cons: They had some strange rule that if you wanted your towels changed, you had to put your dirty towels in the wash basin. The only problem is that it took us 4 days to find out about the rule. I had to ask for clean towels 4 different times.

4.2 Okay
Pros: Not very much
Cons: The first room they assigned us was horrible, with humidity, the smell of confinement and the window could not be opened because there was a smell of sewage. Then we claim and move to a better room, although it is not worth the money we paid for the hotel. Transportation to the center VERY expensive and was not included. The very ugly drinks and the beach is not what it seems in the photo.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The only thing good about this hotel is the location, everything else is a lie
Cons: Check in process was absolutely horrible. Our room was ready but they wanted a bell hop to walk us to our room for customer service but turned out backfiring on them because the bell hop was busy assisting other customers and it took around 45min-1 hour to go up to our room. They also lied about wifi, as there was no wifi on any floor. The last day there was no electricity or water... also not hot water. Would not recommend staying here at all, not even for location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Free drinks at the bar, centralized location (one block from the beach area) including the purchases of tours. Very friendly staff! No photos as the location speaks for itself.
Cons: A friend needed the bathroom and we were rudely turned away from using the 2nd floor public bathrooms because they were not a guest at the hotel. There is no phone or mini refrigerators in the rooms.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: It is a very bad hotel, dirty from beginning to end, noisy, just one elevator and the stairs are being repair so it takes forever to go up and down.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Looks beautiful on the out side but made me feel unwelcome by the end of my stay. Will no go back
Cons: Very friendly to start with then all when wrong when I rented a car from them for it to break down three times and my self to changed a tyre for them on their premises so I could have the car. Then to brake down again and given back on an unsafe manor putting my family in danger and my self and keeping the money once I ask for a refund for the time the car spent in the garage been repaired and still given back with out working lights and also worn out rear brakes and took all the fuel I put in it from the day before. The hosteria did not offer unsalted water to shower with as I did have small children with me. They preference to used the unsalted water to wash their cars and water the plants. Also treat their employees in a bad way.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The only good thing in the hotel is the food, wich doesn't make it enough to stay there.
Cons: It's too far away from the city center, the shuttle bus doesn't pick you up when you arrive neither, let you in the city center when you have the checkout, which is just a business because the owners want you to pay and extra money for that, even though if you are leaving at the same time that the bus leaves. The neighborhood where the hotel is looks very dangerous so if you lose the bus from the hotel which is really likely because the owner send it before the timetable you will have to pay a taxi of $40.000 every time. There is NOT fresh or clean water, not even to take a shower or wash your teeth, the same in the swimming pool (all the water in the hotel is taken from the ocean). There are so many flies and the service is just ok.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The property was quiet and tranquil and good value for money. The room have air con. It was child friendly with the pool and playground. Also has it has larger family rooms as a result there were other families with kids for my children to play with.
Cons: It was a little isolated and the free bus only goes once a day at 8.30am. If it’s full it goes earlier so don’t bank on that for getting around the island. The main house is pretty but it only houses the reception and dining area. The rooms are in blocks to the side and not as pretty. The food was limited and because the hotel is isolated you don’t have any choice for dinner. I found the food difficult- bread could not be toasted for breakfast, there is no choice at breakfast, fish dishes included meat and veggie options were a struggle. There are also a lot of animals in the property begging for food at dinner or eating off finished plates. There is little English spoken at this property and reception is not always manned.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is heaven for families: located in a quiet part of San Andres and surrounded y greenery. It’s a bit of a walk to the bus stop and taxis are expensive for Colombian standards, but the owners run a good shuttle service to and from town centre so you can get to all the amenities for free! My children loved the swimming pool and garden area and the restaurant always served lovely food: though you only get 3 choices for dinner, they were varied and always well prepared and reasonable portions. All in all, an excellent stay!
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice and quiet location in the middle of the nature. Rooms are clean. The swimming pool is small but nice. The owner is is friendly and very dynamic.
Cons: The vegetarian options at the restaurant are very poor and expensive (28'000 COP for a small bowl of salad and some rice). I'm not sure if the people working there are stupid or just totally incompetent. As soon as you try to discuss with them regarding the food or else they don't understand, don't make any effort to even try to understand and on top of that they're not smiling at all. The breakfast is pretty simple, not very big and if you ask for extra bread for example they'll charge you for that. You can get better for that price on the island.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything the staff and location is great
Cons: Everything was great
8.3 Excellent
Pros: silent and nice
Cons: shower with salt water and very hard bed

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a nice family! Very helpful with anything you need or want to do
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Host was very friendly and accommodating. Since the hostel is a little far from the city center she let us park a motorbike that we rented in her lot.
Cons: The bathroom had poor ventilation so our bathing suits became moldy when we left them to dry.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: very nice lady who runs the hostel. you can get free drinking water and also rent a scooter.
Cons: you have to walk a bit to get to the road and then you have to take the bus to reach the city center.
7.5 Good
Pros: The host was very nice, he spoke fluent English. If you are searching for a quiet hostel this is yours. The AC worked well and it was possible to use the equiped kitchen.
Cons: It is (far) away from the city centre. The water in the shower was smelly and there was construction work in the entire hostel.
8.3 Excellent

Coconut Paradise Lodge - San Andrés - Building

8.4 Excellent (60 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Coconut Paradise Lodge in San Andres, you'll be near the beach, a 3-minute drive from San Luis Beach and 7 minutes from Islote Sucre. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Janete, who stays in the house taking care of everything, is really caring, nice and helpful. She helped us with absolutely everything we needed: from arranging a cab to take us to the airport to finding a motorcycle to rent, to lending us her phone charger (since ours didn't match the plugs of the house). Besides that, she made us feel at ease and talking to her was really nice too. There is no AC, but the ceiling fan was more than enough for us to feel good.
Cons: The living room has a musty smell. The house lacks maintenance. In our bedroom, the furniture was ok, but there were broken furniture in other areas of the house. The shared TV room was messy, flooded with the owners' books and papers. And, despite our bedroom was clean, other areas of the house looked dirty (including the kitchen itens we were allowed to use). Also, there were no adaptors to power plugs different from the ones they have in the house. Janete, very keenly, lent us her charger for our mobiles not to run completely out of energy. About the location: it is further from downtown than we had thought, and commuting in the island is not very easy. My advice would be: if you can, stay closer to downtown.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and traditional family home
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like. It was a great place to stay
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location, because it was 10-20 minutes walk from the nicest beach on the island and it had a more local feel to it. We absolutely loved the host - Janete. She was the most hospitable, family like person away from home you could imagine - absolutely amazing! The cleanliness was great and so was Wi-Fi. More on our blog thekcouple.
Cons: We didn't like the location, because it was far away from the centre. There's no hot water in the bathroom. More on our blog "thekcouple"
7.9 Good
Pros: Really nice location, for me the best on the island. The house is a family house and I appreciated to live with a local family.
Cons: We cannot cook, but they opened an exemption and we could use the kitchen.
7.5 Good
Pros: We enjoyed being in a quiet part of the island in a traditional old house and getting to see and be around local people. You can clearly see that the house is away from the city centre so if you want to be around bars and restaurants then book somewhere else or prepare to get the bus to the town centre. This place is best for people who want to be away from the crowds, see the real local people and be close to one of the nicest beaches on the island. From here, it is easy to walk to the other side of the island, you can swim and snorkel in many places. We loved the area and we were happy we chose this place - the house is very special and you have to appreciate it for what it is! We loved sitting on the balcony looking out to the ocean too! The owners were very friendly and accommodating and we would recommend this place to our friends and family!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Opal was really nice and helpfull. Beds were very comfy and a beautiful beach just 10 min away. Beautiful house
Cons: Not many food options around, but that's part of being away from the centre
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old style house, friendly host, kitchen facilities and location out of the main town close to quieter beaches.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very friendly host, safe area and near a great beach.
Cons: Rooms facing the street were noisy. It is walking distance but not very convenient for the beach.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfy, the private bathroom had everything we needed, and the room was clean. We really appreciated the use of the kitchen facilities and fridge. I got a lovely surprise birthday treat from Janette. Janette and her family were friendly and always greeted us with smiles. The Lodge was a 20 minute walk to Rocky Cay, a beautiful beach and Marine Protected Area.
Cons: It would have been nice to have the garbage changed once during our 5 day stay because it began to smell. Janette, the manager, was very attentive to our needs but was a bit controlling, for example she was disappointed when we didn´t choose her recommended tours. There was some extra stress because of low rainwater levels, which is common on the island at this time of year.

Cons: The cost was high for the value
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything
Cons: Almost everything was greit, the only thing i didn't like it was when i did the reservation my room was supose to be in front of the water for a nice veiw, and they gave me the wrong one, but i am very happy with everythin else
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all.
Cons: All of it. The place is falling apart.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The property itself is beautiful in a nice location
Cons: Customer service was poor, since my Check In that was a nightmare.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Never say no
Cons: There is no shuttle between hotels
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: The location and the sea view from the deck.
Cons: Everything is designed to be unconfortbale. Worst checking process I have ever seen. Every activity, like meals, snacks etc have strict schedules. Staff is not as polite as in bogota or Cartagena. Food is ok, not wonderful. Open bar is crappy, there are no fresh juices available. Facilities are old.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and the staff
Cons: They need to make a renovation
4.8 Okay
Pros: Nice and long deck over the sea, easy access to swim and excellent water views.
Cons: Didn't like the food, impossible to get reservations to one of the three (menu) restaurants -you'll need to wake up at 6:30am to make a line for an hour to reserve- so you'll be stuck with buffet, rooms don't feel clean enough, too much noise at the hotel. If you want a peaceful place to relax and eat well/healthy, this is not the place.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Casablanca is definitely high standard, 100% clean rooms, staff is very friendly and quick also when I had some extra wishes with food or laundry they are incredible solution and customer oriented from Manager to receptionist, waiter/ waitress, taxis etc. The Hotel Manager Alex is quick and always friendly managing his staff and guests. The Hotel owns various restaurants around the building with delicious food not only at breakfast (which is very tasty)! Highly recommended. My experiences at Casablanca were absolutely above expectations, have been in many hotels (>100) over the last years traveling/ working around the globe, this Hotel at San Andres is one of the best I have been in terms of price & quality of services and food. Thanks again, Alex Donado and team! Steffen L
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Alex was amazing, he helped with every little question and request we had with the most attentive and kind attitude. The pool is great, has a bubbling area. The room we got was huge, very nice bathroom and shower, and we even had view of the water. The location is great, very central and walk8ng distance from everything. Amazing breakfast, a lot of variety.
Cons: The price is too expensive for what you get, you could be in an all inclusive hotel for the same price. The tv in the room had a very annoying signal error. The air conditioning had a minor leak.
4.6 Okay
Pros: - The restaurants are good - The waiters in the restaurants are really friendly - its good located
Cons: - bad smell in the room (maybe mold in the aircondition) - the wifi was super, super bad! it‘s better in any coffeeshop (and for such an expensive hotel i would at least expect a working wifi) - the people and the reception are unfriendly and just wait for you to transfer the money (thats literally the first thing you need to do at your arrival) - the people at the reception don’t speak english and don‘t even try - the towels smell bad (must be a disgusting washing powder) - the whole property is not charming at all, the rooms are made for mass tourism - its super expensive
7.5 Good
Pros: Location.
Cons: Check in time is absurd. 4 pm? And they don’t make any effort to let you check in earlier. Also they take ages to clean your room. I came back to my room at 5 pm and it still was not ready.
7.5 Good
Pros: Hotel is very well located and has a handy access to the beach. Breakfast was very good and took place in a beautiful room with beach view. Very friendly staff.
Cons: When we got to the hotel, they didn't allow our 3 y.o daughter to sleep in our bed. Therefore, they charged us for half a daily rate for her and promised to put an extra bed in our bedroom. However the room was not big enough for an extra bed. On the 1st night we slept in the `small`room but still paid for a big one. The next day we had to complain about it because they took the whole 2nd day to switch our bedroom to a bigger one. So, we didn't like the hotel's attitude on this. They could have let us stay in our original bedroom and not charge for our 3 year old daughter, but they chose to charge us and they did not deliver what we paid.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The beach was great, the room was big and clean, bathroom amazing, in a simple phrase Great Small hotel
Cons: Small pool, construction on-site
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, location, staff advices (they speak English)!
Cons: The size of the room was small for the price we paid.
5.0 Okay
Cons: I had paid for breakfast but I left early, they were supposed to have coffee but we got nothing and they charged 100.000 for a breakfast that did not exist
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: People are very Friendly, have access to all one need in walking distance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was AMAZING! Great variety, fresh and absolutely delicious!

6.7 Good
Pros: Kitchen is well equipped. Location is in walking distance to the airport, to the main beach and to a big supermarket. You don’t need to take a taxi. They have their own scooter rental (80.000 $ a day) to explore the island on your own which we recommend. WiFi was slow but worked.
Cons: Contact to the staff was not very personal. Nobody was around when we arrived and left. We always had to search for someone when we needed anything. General advice: if you don’t like mass tourism and duty free shopping you will have a much better holiday experience on Providencia which is completely the opposite of San Andrés.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: location, 15 min walk from center
Cons: Bed is'nt comfortable: we could feel the wood of the bed base, air conditioner did'nt work properly, was leaking all night so it got all our stuff wet and smelly, the floor was dirty in the bedroom and also wet because of the air con. No toilet paper in the bathroom + really bad smell. We told the clerk about the problems, we asked for a discount considering the situation and he could'nt do anything for us. Therefore, we told him that we would put a bad review on booking and the next day we've received a mail from booking with a noshow notification (maybe an attempt to avoid us writting or review?)
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: Aircon insanely cold, and it’s either on or off. No changing he temperature. Bed sheets are far too old and small, fall completely off after 1hr in bed. Then your on the old scummy mattress. Shower full of sand despite cleaner just finishing up. No hand soap. Room and bathroom very small, with very low door frame. Hit my head twice. Paid during check in, but the guy didn’t have the 10k change. Said we’d get it later. On check out we told the other guy about it and we had to wait around half an hour for them to sort it out. We ended up on the phone to the owner. No communication.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had enough area for everything. To have a kitchen and a fridge was very good. Although we booked a shared bathroom, the room next to us was empty so the whole apartment was just for us. Our flight was at 2:30 am in the night. We could checkout in the morning and leave our luggages in reception and go to the beach whole day. Later on they allowed us even to take a shower, which was awesome! We picked up our luggage at night and went to the airport.
Cons: The bathroom wasn’t in a very top quality. The coach in the common area was very dusty. But they didn’t disturb us that much.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best treatment you'll get, Juan is very helpful and nice, and will always make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your time in San Andreas. Thanks for everything!
6.7 Good
Pros: It was very noisy. The bathroom wasen't Clean and did smell. No WiFi
Cons: WE arrived early and it was no Problem to leave our luggage at the Hostel.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Shared bathroom but the wall between our bedroom and the shared bathroom had an opening therefore we could hear everybody going in and out, smell everything and lighted up all the bedroom. There is no window in the room and the ventilator did'nt work well, so it was so warm and had no air. Bed is'nt comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived the hosts were friendly and welcoming and check-in was seamless. The living arrangement was a mix of apartments and hostel rooms in a locked private courtyard. Although that meant living in close proximity to local families, everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. We had a private double room and shared bathroom, both of which were extremely clean with a no shoes and no sand policy. Towels were provided and fresh linen was offered mid-week. Air- con in room was a blessing. When we enquired about activities on the island, a chap was sent to meet us straight away and subsequently we arranged motorcycle rental with the option to embark on numerous other excursions.
Cons: Our room didn’t come with kitchen facilities. Bed was propped up on a wooden platform which did mean we got the occasional flurry of ants joining us in bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was nice and friendly... Close to the airport and city center
