helpfulness of staff cleanliness street noise
The friendly staff
Good locaton, friendly & helpful staff, decor of hotel and stunning views. Range of choice for breakfast buffet & disappointing bar snack menu.
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful- gave us some great recommendations. Wonderful views. very clean and nicely decorated. times of courtesy bus to and from town could have been better
we liked everything about the hotel except the long walk up the hill. the road up.
The views from the Hotel are amazing! Every bedroom has it's own balcony & they all overlook the Bay of Naples. The staff are all friendly & helpful & the food is also of excellent quality!
The staff was friendly and fun. They made us feel very welcome and at home. The room was nice and the view was spectacular. The A/C worked beautifully even during some very hot weather. But mostly - it was the staff. We liked everything.
the friendly, relaxed, yet efficient staff.
The reception staff were very efficient and helpful. Fantastic views and the swimming pool was very inviting. We did not have a car, so getting back from Sorrento meant either a hard walk up a very steep hill or a 20 Euro taxi fare. No problem if you have your own transport.
A small hotel with about 40 rooms, family owned with owner on site and helpful & efficient staff. Hillside position away from traffic with beautiful views over the bay of Naples.Excellent restaurant, rooms with balconies & lovely ambiance generally. An excellent choice! The hotel is sited on a hill not too far away from the main road and buses and trains but visitors without cars would have to be able to cope with walking up the hill. The hotel does however offer a free minibus service to and from Sorrento three or four times a day and there are taxis available. However the bonus is the wonderful view.
The owner was very friendly, the bathroom was very big, very central for the whole peninsula, an hour from Naples, Vesuvius, Pompei and only minutes from the Amalfi coast - which I personally feel is very overrated. The breakfast left a lot to be desired! De-luxe is an overstatement. Very loud - inside and out.
Ermilia was really nice, the service and the room standard was brilliant. Breakfast consisted of some lovely pastries yum yum. The views were fantastic, the only thing I would say is get a car as the buses around thia area are a bit erratic, ie. they seem to go into Piano town but don't seem to come back up for hours. The apartment was 7km away from Sorrento and 7km away from Positano, another bit of advice best taking the bus up to there as the road is horendious (mountain drop on the right of you!) but between 9-10.30 ish as the buses after that get a bit erratic and also are packed full of people, coming back the bus runs hourly. Make sure you take the number booking.com give you as she is not always there, its also outside the door.
Hotel has a big terrace to get breakfast or just sit there on the fresh air. Owner was very nice and friendly but she doesn't speak English, just few words... Air conditioning in the room. we did not use it as we have little children... It's right on the intersection. Our room was very, very small, and there were only roof windows that we could not open. Maybe other rooms are bigger. This one for my wife and our little boy was really quite small...
Good quality 5 * hotel, at a very, very good price. Location was not ideal being 2/3 km from Sorrento and away from the coast (could have done with a bus to Sorrento every hour). The hotel markets to tour groups, particularly from the us. It is a typical 5 * hotel displaying little of the charm of the area (could have been anywhere).
Staff very helpful, rooms clean, nice touch of a chocolate on the pillow! the towells were replaced in the evening after a shower. Although the rooms were very comfortable, our bathroom was tiny and only had a shower, whereas our children had a massive bedroom and fabulous bathroom!
Helpfulness and friendliness of staff. Great views from our sea view room over the Bay of Naples. Selection of foods at breakfast and dinner.
Good views, nice pool and bar area. Good choice at breakfast. Spacious hotel pleasant staff, but more 4* than 5*. We paid extra for a lovely room with sea view and balcony. Arrived tired and hungry in afternoon, no food available till 6pm local shops shut long walk to town. Hotel needs to offer food all day bar eg snacks or room service. Rooms are small. House keeping need to change glasses plates and cutlery in room dailty ours wasnt changed over 5 days!!
great location. Excellent decor and friendly staff one early morning was noisy due to furniture being moved right above our room
Excellent hotel with attentive staff - reception were very helpful and the breakfast staff amusing and cheery to help on the start of the day. The pool and leisure facilities looked good though we did not use. Location was a little further out of Sorrento than we expected but the shuttle bus was useful and made access easy into the town
Good Service Too far from centre
Is a very quiet and relaxing hotel and the spa was excellent The location of the hotel is very bad if you don't have a car.We would like to have some animation .
I satyed at the hotel for my honeymoon in september 2005,and when we arrived on the 14-9-07,we got the same room again,it was like a second honeymoon,we couldn't believe it.
Shuttle bus was not regular enough.
Clean, adequate For a 4 star hotel, it did not have luggage racks; antiquated tv; poor lighting; not enough hangars for two people; very small shower stall; no toiletries - shampoo; no tissues; hair dryer was like a vacuum cleaner; noisy - we could hear noise from hallway all the time; located right next door to a church therefore hear the bells all day long. Breakfast was ok and the one dinner we had was absolutely awful. Elevator had just enough room for 1 person with 2 pieces of luggage. Location of hotel was not the best as you either had to call for a taxi, take a local bus or walk. Taxi was too expensive.b Walking along roads with no sidewalks was quite hairy!!!
All of the staff was excellent and very conscientious! It was amazing that they remembered us as individuals even though they took care of so many different people each day. They were also very helpful with info. about various tourist destinations and activities. The only minor problems we had were that the shower was plugged and the air conditioning could have been cooler. It would be nice if the individual guests could control the temperature in their rooms. But as I said this was just a minor concern. Also it would be nice if the pool stayed open a bit later-19:00 (7:00pm) was quite early and it would have been nice to have a cool swim in the evening after a hot day of sight seeing....
everything was OK In the picture hotel and swimming pool look bigger than they are.
In a quiet environment with friendly helpful staff. Not too many restaurants around but an excellent one in Meta (the Taverna I think) with great food and surroundings at a very reasonable price. It was a little difficult to find by car but easy to find if arriving by train.
family hotel brother was very helpful and pleasant and sister lovely people meastro machine was not working for payment was cuased a bit of stress
Staff were friendly and the rooms were very nice. Everything was excellent.
Cleanliness of rooms.. Cozy...
the location of the hotel is excellent, right in the center of the city, close to the harbor and the main train and bus station. the internet connection is very poor (it worked only in the bathroom), the room was a little bit small and we ran out of hot water for the last two mornings we stayed in.
Very modern design of the rooms. Excellent hospitality and service by the family owners of the Guest House. Excellent value for money
Location was awesome, room spotless and Federica and Maria were always friendly and helpful.
Room we were allocated was at the back of the hotel in a type of bungalow, it was roomy and cleaned daily. Breakfast was a bit basic ,typical continental breakfast but previous reviews had warned of that so expected it
The woman owner and her dog. Loud musical evenings beside the swimming pool, when we had returned from visiting some archaeological site and we just wanted some sleep. Also being relegated to the back part of the hotel dining area, without an explanation as to why.
friendly staff, clean rooms, lots of children running around the pool. not necessarily the place for a relaxing quiet break
The atmosphere, surroundings and relatively close to transportation. For the price more comfort can to be expected: some shelves in the bathrooom, and more chairs in the room (we had only one chair for 2 persons)
Room was lovely airy and clean. Staff were pleasent and friendly while still maintaining very good professionalism. Had great sleep at night as it is so peaceful and quiet.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were cleaned and towels replaced every day. A lovely big pool in beautiful surroundings. There was no kettle or fridge in the rooms.
The location with the orange and lemon trees, the owners, the whole expereince
Proximity of town Not many services in the hotel, breakfast finished too early
Very clean and professional attention to our needs was especially appreaciated.
Liked the easy access to pool and gardens No proper bar facilities
Location The breakfast was disgusting, coffee un drinkable
The stuff was very friendly as a whole and especially the persons working in the reception Our room was situated nearby a very noisy fan from the kitchen It was very disturbing we also found the breakfast rather poor ( especially the coffe)
Swimming pool, brekfast, staff at reception.Family room is a very good size. we saw a worm the first day and we called them and they came and sprayed a medicine.
large spaces, staff very friendly and helpful, excellent outdoor pool, wide choice for breakfast crowded for late breakfast
The hotel was fine and so was the room except for the room's outlook - it was described as a 'standard room with garden view' in fact it really had no view at all, looking out over the goods entrance onto a wall. Location was a little bit out of the centre
Clean rooms, most comfortable bed in Italy (that's saying a lot). Pool area was huge - free breakfast was great, staff was professional and very helpful, there was free parking across the street. It was also close enough to the town, but far enough that it wasn't too noisy. This has nothing to with the hotel, but there were a lot of families there. A lot of screaming kids and a lot of splashing in the pool. This hotel is not an adult experience.
More informations about excursions
Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly and attentive. No real wardrobes in room and few drawers. Children and teenagers dominated the pool area and no staff supervision of the use of balls ans other items in the pool.
It has magnificent views over the Bay of Naples towards Vesuvius and a superb pool. Great indoor pool close to the spa. Quite a walk into the historical centre of Sorrento with an irregular bus service. We found the rooms incredibly noisy - the doors to the corridors are not sufficiently well insulated to stop sound from the corridor or the lift foyer. Late night revellers and cleaners became an annoyance. The doors also banged shut loudly and door closers would definitely help. We would recommend adding an additional door to the rooms beyond the bathroom and possibly double doors to the lift foyer
The pool, the kids club, lounge bar, the food - all was very good. The room was very large and had excellent air conditioning.
Lovely views from the terraces, hotel was a short walk into town, bar staff very freindly and room was lovely and clean and always offereing fresh towels. Would stay here again Even though breakfast was very good, didnt like queing to get a table in the morning, and when I got up from the table someone was sitting in my seat when I cam back from the buffett.
The location was good, the view was spectacular from the 7 floor ,the breakfast was excellent and service was great.
Swimming pools and the view and the breakfast
I appreciated the friendliness and thoroughness of the receptionists. The buffet breakfast offered had variety and nourishment. The absence of a management person on the premises at night was a little unnerving for me with poco italiano
The hotel is in a really good location - we had a room at the back so was nice and quiet - don't know how rooms at front are as they're facing the street. The staff were not the most attentive but not bad. Breakfast was poor though. When we came downstairs for breakfast 30 mins before it finished there was hardly anything left!!
Nothing... the whole experience was dreadful, deceptive and this hotel should be banned from this website. I booked the ¨secret¨ annexe room as per recommendations from previous guest reviews. I was quickly booked in and the waited for someone to come and take me miles away from the hotel location to somewhere in the outskirts where I was shown something like a hostel rather than the promised annexe. After much arguing with the hotel staff that this was not what was advertised I was promised to be given the secret annex room. I waited 1 hour for someone take me there. The room was in b&b down the road above a restaurant and was noisy at night from street noise and the restaurant (as the guest reviews say for this b&b on booking.com) The whole thing was deceptive. The annexe in my opinion does not exists and is fobbed off to various inferior b&bs at a higher rate than would otherwise be charged. The review is a fabrication by the hotel: do not book the annex room it is an outright hoax. This hotel should be banned from this website for deceptive and misleading advertising. If you do not speak italian you would not have had a hope in hell of dealing with this situation. I left after 1 night and found much better accomodation at cheaper rates. Can not say enough bad things about this hotel´s deceptive behaviour.
We stayed in the annex and it was great. Located in the mainstreet Corsa Italia. Excellent and cosy, very italien, appartment. Little kitchen, good bathroom, nice room with little balcony. All this in the very good price - hard to find in the spoiled Sorrento hotels. I strongly recommend this place. Nice, friendly and helpfull staff. Bus and railwaystation in 5 minutes. Good connection with Napels and Pompei. The boat to Capri also 5 minutes walk. It was great! Every night there was a lot of noise from the street (internetcafe with music and people shouting nearby). So, we didn't sleep very well...
The location was excellent and the room had beautiful decor WiFi didn't work with my Iphone
Everything!! Staff is great and very helpful especially Luigi who never disappointed us and always suggest us excellent choices during our stay. Room is spacious and very clean. Location is just in the centre and very easy to go around the town. Worth every penny!! small selection of breakfast but does not matter really comparing to other great points.
The location was good. Wireless Internet at no extra charge was good. Good value for money. Breakfast could have been better.
It's excellently located, it is only a few minutes from the town centre and bus/ rail Circumvirsuvian stations, therefore convenient for all age groups. It's very accessible from Naples/ Napoli international Airport by direct coach service, 1hr 15min journey, costing 10 euro. Very convenient for travelling on train to visit Pompeii, Herculaneum (Ecolano station), Mount Visuvia; on buses to beautiful Positano, Amalfi Coast & Ravello, etc. The staff's extremely helpful & informative re: advice for travelling/ sighting, printing off up to date train/ bus timetables for us. The decor's excellent, refreshing, being newly renovated to the moden standard with rcomfort. It's very Given that this's a Guest House, it's pf excellent value & facility It's excellent location for shoping & restaurants. It is not wheelchair accesible, though there is a lift within the hotel located on the first floor, but there is no lift as faf as we'd see from the ground floor to reach the hotel, which is accessible by a flight of stairs from the main street. It'd be nice to have coffe /tea making facility in the room. However the hotel did provide refreshment on demand in the breakfast area & the staff's very helpful/ pleasant.
The Hotel is very modern, new and luxurious. The staff was extremely friendly, happy and helpful. Breakfast was generous although a bit crowded when busy due to the table set up. This is not a complaint, but a shower set up in the bath would have been great, instead of just a handheld shower. But this is our personal preference.
Very good value, clean and well kept guest house. Excellent staff, location is the best in Sorento.
The hotel was extremely clean and well looked after. Not luxury but very professionally run and very neat and tidy. All staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. A very good atmosphere and a real pleasure to stay in.
The view from our room was fantastic, the buffet breakfast was also quite impressive there was a lot to choose from. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel did not offer a shuttle service down to beach. Bringing luggage down to the ferry was also quite difficult so we had to pay a porter to do it. This should really be included in the price of the accomodation.
The view, the terrace, the cocktails and dinner, the manager and hostess, the breakfast. The staff was helpful. Was nicely furnished. The matress and the pillow.
The staff went out of their way to be helpful and were very polite and friendly. They made us feel very welcome. There was a very pleasant atmosphere in the hotel.
Great hotel with wonderful views. Staff were very helpful. Also, hotel offers free boat trips, great bonus. Bathrooms are very small and showers are too tiny.
Beautiful spot on the Amalfi Coast, and a good choice if you want to be able to walk to town/breach/restaurants/etc.
This was the second time we have stayed at the hotel and being a family-run business it has the ideal mix of friendliness, helpfulness and peace that one wishes for in this ideal location.` We found our bedroom rather noisy as it was situated below the kitchens. We asked to change the room but as the hotel was fully booked it was not possible. Whilst slightly annoying to be woken at 6am it did not deter us from enjoying our holiday.
the ambience of the hotel was magical and the staff were friendly helpful and so hospitable. the view from the bedroom was stunning. and the terrace off th ebedroom was a lovely spot to sit and relax at
Location with fantastic view, excellent place for relax. Nothing!
I liked the location and the hotel staff. The owners were wonderful and very helpful. It was noisy.
Friendly and helpfull reception and most staff. Amazing views. Great location 15 - 20 minute walk along the cliff out of Sorrento. Great lunches on the terrace. We could have stayed forever. October was a great time to go as fewer tourists were in Sorrento. Not such a good breakfast and terrible coffee. There was not enough fresh healthy food offered.
The staff were all excellent - very friendly and helpful. The view was also great. When you walk out the front door, you step straight onto a busy road. For that reason I wouldn't recommend the hotel for anyone with young children. In fact, I wouldn't really recommend Sorrento for children generally - there's not an awful lot for kids to do and the traffic is very worrying.
Wonderful views. Individual design. Friendly staff Slightly too far from town on busy road
Scenery from the balcony was absolutely stunning and breathtaking. Receptionists are very kind and helpfull. Room was clean and spacious. The hotel is located 30min by walk from the center of Sorrent and bus isn't come often, so it was bit inconvenient. I wished they had shuttle bus service. Breakfast hasn't got many choices (no vegetable). Dinner menu at the hotel restaurant was OK, but not many choices.
views = magic, loved the rooftop pool and huge terrace overlooking the bay. being picky you'd say the rooms were a touch dated but really a very minor issue. echo everyone else here: staff as a group was by far the best I encountered in italy. from the breakfast joker who shouted buon giorno at everyone to the valet / door guy who struck up a great conversation and particuarly francesco on front desk who was world-class. even housekeeping was smiley and engaging. atmosphere of genuine interest in their guests - whoever runs this hotel and trains the staff knows their stuff.
The Minerva was everything we were looking for and more. The staff is available. This hotel gets a 5 STAR for staff, cleanliness, and view from us!
It's a nice hotel overall , needs an update maybe on furniture in rooms. Pool was not in function which is annoying and shouldnt happen in May.
Our stay at the Hotel Minerva was absolutely wonderful! The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the view of the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius from our balcony ws spectacular. If you are walking up to the hotel from the train station, it might feel like too much for people not used to walking. In that case, you should catch the bus or get a cab, but don't miss out on staying at this wonderful hotel.
Views from the room and the entire hotel. Very warm service particularly at the front desk. We feel so comfortable while staying at the hotel. I recommend this hotel to everyone who want to have a very good in Sorrento. I can't think of any.
Very friendly, helpful staff - Easy walk to town and marina - Superb view from rooms - good breakfast and good value for money on dinner. Lock on door hard to open
Room was super clean, the best breakfast in Italy and gratis. Nice pool and a overall good experience. Only neg is that it is about 1 mile from Sorentto but they do have a bus that runs gratis but not too often. Nice walk if you choose to go to town.
Nice quite Hotel, excellent location and good transport links. Would definitely go back again.
The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful - all of them from the cleaners to the managers - they go out of their way to make you feel welcome - nothing is too much trouble. My suggestion last year was that a later courtesy bus back to the hotel would be welcome and this has been put in place. We would not hesitate in returning to the hotel again. There was nothing to criticise
The staff was wonderful. We stayed there twice and the second room we had with a balcony was a little smaller than the first. The bathroom was smaller too. Overall, very, very nice. The restaurant only had a fixed price for dinner. Food was good but not great. A little far out of town but they have a shuttle that takes you close to town.
Having stayed there twice before we chose the hotel because we new the quality of service and the location of the hotel was what we wanted
We stayed B&B and the breakfast was as good as I've experienced anywhere. The general hotel facilities were comfortable and the staff always very professional. Excellant local restaurant at the top of the road and reasonable local bus service to the heart of Sorrento. Given the comfort of the hotel's public areas, the bedrooms were a little disappointing. The colour scheme and cheap looking flatpack furniture gave them a slightly unwelcoming ambience, though they were certainly clean. Our Superior Twin with large balcony was at ground level, overlooking the bin area.
i liked everything about hotel caravel, the pool area was spotless and very relaxing, staff were very helpful, found no fault at all
Lovely food, staff and communal areas, only negative is that the bedrooms are small in size
The service and comfort
Staff were generally helpful and friendly. All other facilities, i.e pool were great. Just a shame the tiles on bedroom floor let them down. If they carpeted the rooms I am sure there would be less complaints all the bedroom floors had no carpets so the rooms were extremely noisy. We complained the first night as the people upstairs were very noisy when they came in at 4am. We were told by reception that the noise would only be for 2 more nights as they weere leaving after that!!! great. Only other thing was toaster not working in hotel. And the hot water urn for tea did not keep the hot water warm at breakfast. Staff in the restaurant didn't want to know.
Very helpful and personal service. Sitting out on the terrace relaxing with the wonderful view. We could always ask for something and receive satisfaction. The car parking lot was very helpful, so close and the attendants were courteous. Good value for the money spent. No
It's just a very nice hotel. It's pretty expensive.
The venue and location and the freindly staff.
The view from the hotel is really amazing. The access to the hotel is difficult, there are too many ladders to get into it and also it is far from the beach/city center. To use the air conditioning, we had to pay 10EUR per day! The service at the jacuzzi area is not so good, we have asked for bruschetta and they brought it without knife and knappings. Further the bed and pillows were not confortable.
Spectacular views. The "Terrace Rooms" are definitely worth the extra $. Beautiful restaurant. Outstanding breakfast with the option to add eggs/omlet for small charge. Very helpful staff. Parking available close by. Comfortable spacious rooms. All around great value. 120 steps from the street to the hotel desk. Not for those who have very limited mobility. (This is true for most of Positano). Porter will meet you at the parking area to bring your luggage.
The views are fantastic but that's because the hotel is way up the hill from the main town. The hotel is very nice. No complaints except maybe the breakfast could have been a bit more varied. Positano is fantastic. For me the best place in the area. I see other reviewers are praising the location! For me it was not good. Apart from the 100 or so stairs you have to walk up it is probably almost a mile uphill from the main center before you reach the stairs.
the View was absolutely fabulous room was small; many steps to get to the hotel
This is a great property and the view is fantastic. Breakast and evening drinks on the balcony will be treasured memories of our time there.
This is my second stay at the Conca d'Oro, and I will return again and again. The views are spectacular, the breakfast is ample, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Many excellent restaurants and charming shops are within easy walking distance along the winding road to the beach. The Hotel Conca d'Oro is a lovely retreat with large terraces and incredible views of Positano and the glistening bay below.
The hotel was clean, and the staff courteous and helpful. The food was very good also Access up the steps was difficult for some - but good exercise!
Outstanding views of the water and hillside if you have a sea view room Not really an issue but lots of stairs to get to the hotel
the cleanliness of my room was awesome. it has 106 stairs to it. Not very good for older people.
staff some rooms not acceptable
Staff were friendly and very helpfull. The location was excellent only 5 minute walk to center. We had a nice view from our balcony. Air con worked well. Breakfast was only fair. No Wi fi is disappointing in this day and age.
It is away from the Sorrento centro - a bit quiet side - and takes about 10 minutes walk passing thru the lemon orchard - quite nice. But i wld prefer to have stayed somewhere closer to the centro - for meal and shopping and walking sake. it was a bit overpirced - maybe that was the fair prices for Sorrento but hotels in Naples cost lower and it is a city.
Excellent location, very close to city center but in a very quiet street. No internet access available, no fridge in the room.
Friendly Tv poor
The froont desk staff were friendly, helpful and multi-lingual. Internet access would be nice. If they are going to turn the A/C off in October, ceiling fans would help.
The hotel was just of the main street in Sorrento just a two mins walk either through a orange grove or side street, at the top of side street turn right walk 2 - 3 mins in main square. Great roof terrace with views brilliant to lie back and relax. Rooms very clean and comfortable, air conditioned. A matter of a few minutes walk to main bus station.
The staff was very helpfull. The size of the room is rather large comparing to other hotels we have had stayed on this trip, (with same price) and the room was very clean. We requested non-smoking and a room with possible view, and we got exactly what we wanted! Breakfast was reasonably good, please offer capuccino next time!
Hotel staff were outstanding, with both response & being helpfull, very clean & comfortable. breakfast was ok. Hotel could do with updating there outdated decor, but otherwise very satisfied, would have been nice to have been able to use the air conditioning not working for that month was very warm had to have the windows open so noisy.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room that we stayed in was comfortably air conditioned and kept very clean making our stay at this hotel very pleasant and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travellers wishing to stay in Sorrento.
The hotel offers few services which are for us, the most important things about this hotel was the large room. it was extremely clean, they even actually cleaned it twice a day, once during day time and again when we went out for dinner they made the beds again. Bath was big and very clean. the staff and the manager are very very nice and worm. Also this hotel offers free wifi, free shuttle bus to town center (8 minutes drive) and free parking, all are crucial in Sorrento. Breakfast was very good and rich. nothing at all. sometime best western can be a good hotel and this is the example.
We visited here for our 25th wedding anniversary and weren't disappointed. Fantastic service from the staff and we were given an iced bottle of champagne ... free! The food in the restaurant was supurb too.
Friendly and helpful staff The food wasn't quite as good as I would have liked - Perhaps just me being fussy though
The courtesy hotel bus that takes guests to the city centre every hour, was very convenient. Comparing 4 star hotels in South Africa and the UK to Italy, the standard of 4 star hotels are much lower in Italy. However, comparing La Solara to other 4 star hotels in Sorrento, the rooms are more tastefully furnished and better priced.
It's a nice place to relax, there is a nice pool and the food is prepared very well. The bed was not comfortable, the mattress are too firm.
Staff, pool, cleanliness being away from city. Little expensive
Friendliness of Hotel staff Balcony size and possibly food prices around the pool, especially water
The Staff,The pool,The Food Prices on food and drink on high side
Having a room with a full size balcony (at least 3.5 metres square) and sea view. My teenage daughter and I stayed at this hotel the previous two summers and enjoyed the wonderful location, (away from the busy town) with beautiful scenic views. We saw a glorious sunset every evening across the bay. The icing on the cake was the courtesy bus, which runs into town every hour and back again, right up until 11.15 pm. The shops are open all evening, so that one can relax by the pool or visit Capri, Amalfi or Pompeii etc during the day. Furthermore public transport for all these places is frequent and cheap. No need to indulge in expensive organised trips! A memorable stay for all ages.
It was very plesent and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food we ate in the hotel was delicious. The swimming pool looked lovely but, was very cold, so we did'nt go in.
Meals available Requested a double bed, which we did not get. Room was small and could have been cleaner
Our sea view room had a huge balcony with wonderful views over the town of Masa Lubrensa and out to sea and islands of Capri and Ischia, which was wonderful having a drink watching the sunsets. The bathrooms were clean but a bit dated.
Very good location, very clean, kind staff, nice ceramics, reasonable prices. i liked it very much.
Lots of character and good ambience. Just the right size. Lovely food and friendly staff. Very convenient location for touring the area. Very nice comfortable room. Lovely views of the Bay of Naples, Capri and Ischia from the hotel.
Hotel was very clean and presentable.. Clairo was always very helpful..Rooms were very clean...Offered a nice daily breakfast. Beds were very hard...Location was a bit out of the way from Sorrento, the buses were always running. Taxis very expensive, approx. 20-25 Euro for a 10 min ride...
we accidentally left some shirts in our room and the owner contacted us to let us know he will be sending the shirts back to us.
Hotel La Primavera had no reviews when we booked, so it was a blind selection. WOW!!! We were so pleased with the hotel location, service, dining and room. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our relaxing stay. The dining area was a second floor outdoor veranda overlooking the coastline. Dinner was relaxed and very good!! The room was clean and well air conditioned. The staff answered all of our questions. The breakfast each morning was great with a buffet of cheeses, meats, breads and fruit as well as coffee. Overall... GREAT!!
The views were lovely, Bar staff were very nice. had a great time. Pool was very cold, but it was September so did not get direct sun light. Also when we booked it said Terrace - translated means terrace with no view - kind of like being in a basement.
The sea and Sorrento view from our room was wonderful. The staff were very lovely and helpful. They were great with my gluten free breakfast. Not enough hotel buses in and out of town; two large gaps in the day where you may be stuck in town or at the hotel. They advertised wireless throughout hotel, not the case - we didn't have it in our room and that was one of the reasons I booked that hotel. Dinner wasn't worth the money charged. Pool closed at 6.30pm. Room cleaning a bit too early.
The sea view Food was good - but very expensive if you did not book half board. Swimming pool not heated and very cold in May, a charge for pool towels too.
Relaxing atmosphere around hotel Nice grounds Transfer to Sorrento very useful
The whole experience was excellent. The staff were very helpful in every way, together with a fine range of facilities and the view of Sorrento from the hotel was breathtaking. The shuttle service to and from the hotel could be more frequent.
Received excellent service for our honeymoon stay which included a free upgrade. On our first night we stayed for the Grand Banquet which was a fantastic standard of meal. Lovely pool and location generally. Free bus service was excellent and driver very friendly, also a very safe driver! None...all very positive.
This is a beautiful hotel with magnificent views. the hotel is spotless and staff was very helpful. This hotel had a seniors Club Med feel to it when we were there. There were activities by the pool and in the garden area by day, and at night there were theme shows after dinner for those who were interested. This is not our cup of tea and thankfully there is a beautiful rooftop terrace that is peaceful with incredible views where one can go to escape the unwanted acivities. Not sure we would stay there again if only for the fact that we felt like we were on a cruise. Having said that, for people who want to mingle and keep busy this place is perfect. stay away from the pizza by the pool!! Precooked crust, canned tomatoe sauce and we even saw pizzas being served with "fries" on them!
Great atmosphere with excellent service standards in resturant and bar, nothing too much trouble and always very happy when greeting.Superb menu and food. Reflects a very good team spirit. Evening entertainment varied in standard, from very good to below average
This was a perfect place for us to be on our honeymoon. A nice spot with fantastic view over Sorrento. The pool, service, food; everything was excellent. Even if the hotell was a few km away from th centre, which was important for us, the hotel had shuttle-bus. Thank you!!
the location, the bus shuttle service and the cleaniness of the hotel. we did not like the fact that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms especially being a 4* hotel.
