Scottsdale Hotels near House of Broadcasting Museum

My suite had a king-size bed, small balcony, comfortable sitting area and desk. Refrigerator and coffee maker: nice conveniences. Several nice restaurants are within walking distance -- try The Gelato Spot for an unusual mix of artisanal pizzas or delicious gelatos. Parking and internet have a daily charge, which I did not like. Internet has replaced telephone as the hotels' cash cow. The restaurant offered a nice choice of breakfast foods. The staff was courteous and friendly. I'd stay there again.

My family and I went to Scottsdale for a family trip/conference and had a FABULOUS time. The hotel was wonderful and in the heart of everything. All of Old Town was just outside the door. The hotel was beautiful, the staff was awesome and the underground parking was great. We will definitely visit Scottsdale again and will defintely stay at the Marriott.

Mountain Dew machine out of order... I know it's petty but I need me my dew!

We were only in Scottsdale or one night so we wanted something cheap and in the heart of Old Town and this was the perfect location. I'm a hotel snob so I'll have to admit that this hotel isn't the BEST of the best but it was alright. The room space is great, the bathroom is okay, the location is awesome, the pool is GREAT. The complimentary breakfast was nice, there are no cooked eggs or whatever, just cereal, oatmeal, coffee, tea, bakery goods, toast, english muffins, ETC. The staff was FRIENDLY and very helpful.

I didn't like the quality of the blankets. The sheets and pillows are FINE but it's the blanket that I felt icky about. I'm used to the lobby having a guest bathroom but they do not have one. they have a bathroom behind the clerk desk and it has cleaning supplies in it, it was weird. If they could, they could just put in a divider or something to cover it up. Or build a door/closet in the bathroom.

Great location for getting around downtown Scottsdale.

Rooms were very nice and modern and had floor to ceiling windows. I really liked the design and the rooms are designed creatively so each room has somewhat of a corner window. The shower was also very nicely designed and roomy. The atmosphere of the hotel was excellent. Elevator music and pool music were all excellent. There are pool parties on Saturday afternoons, I guess it's a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you're looking for. It was a little too "college-y" for my tastes. I would have preferred something a bit more "lounge-y" but that's just personal preference. If you're planning on enjoying the pool, don't go on a Saturday as everyone is packed in like sardines.

Front desk staff was not very helpful upon first arriving. There was a line and a 2nd staff member came up and stood at her desk. She looked right at us and then proceeded to just stand there. It took us asking if she was open to get her to help us. Also, they need to update their in room audio systems, they were only compatible with iPods and iPhones with the old 30 pin connectors. Seriously guys? That was 4 years ago. Use a more standard format like audio line in or Bluetooth so everyone can enjoy. Water pressure in the shower was not the greatest. It was barely even coming out toward the end of my shower.

bathroom had only half of the shower covered by door - not moveable at all; parking was not readily available at this location since there was a club next door that used the hotel parking as valet. i had to squeeze into a unknown space along a fence.

You literally can hear a pin drop out of the bathroom and bower and the shutters don't block out the sun! Just an odd hotel.

The spa tub is amazing, the atmosphere was very relaxing.

Valet was solid. Couldn't believe the guy actually remembered my name as I walked up to get my car the next day.

Great location/proximity to Old Town.

Didn't have ANY hot water during my stay. What's the point of a hotel room without hot water. Bed was also not comfortable.

The proximity to the event I was attending.

I was put in a smoking room when I had asked for non smoking. This was fixed with some trepidation only because one of the guests has a heart condition and can't stay in such a room.

The lobby music was our era. Decor is in orange, gold, avocado and very nice. Zuzus the onsite restaurant was outstanding. All the staff was professional and pleasant. The AZ driver John was very professional and pleasant. We travel with my husbands seeing eye dog and were accepted nicely. Highly recommend this hotel.

The loud music at the pool was not era but modern with a "bump bump" sound. Great for young couples but not for us seniors. No surprise here! The poolside rooms were well insulated so it wasn't an issue.

Reservation and check in process was seamless; especially appreciated ability to check in early after international travel. Lobby smells incredible: reminds me of Hawaii and soap/shampoo/etc in room also smelled wonderful. Love the overall decor and retro vibe of hotel, plus pool is one of my absolute favorites: ample seating, great sun and great bar (service and prices)!

While valet was wonderfully helpful and overall service fine, after finding a small roach in bathroom and being surprised by cost of daily valet (that it wasn't included), I felt a little underwhelmed by value. I travel often for business and this certainly didn't meet my elevated expectations of luxury or service.

It was handicapped king room and it was very, very used and showed it. The mattress was very uncomfortable, the toilet wouldn't flush, and there were many bats or fleas in the shower. The whole room made me feel very quezy and disgusted

I liked the location. It was close to Scottsdale Fashion Square, restaurants and bars. The pool was nice and has late hours, and the rooms had doors that opened up to your own private patio.

I agree with others that have said you're paying for the location. Overall... I've stayed at equally priced, if not cheaper, hotels with better customer service, hotel amenities and accommodations. The pool is open from 6 a.m. to midnight. That's great except they closed the bar around 6 p.m. and you had to walk into into the hotel lobby bar to order drinks (per the pool bar staff). I would have liked to dry off before walking into the hotel lobby for a drink, except they ran out of towels. We asked twice for towels and they the pool/bar staff said the towels were on their way. We never got any towels. The only great service we received was from the guy at valet. I will not be booking at this hotel again.

Booked a king size bed and received a queen. Upon notifying the front desk and asking for change was told that was not possible. Hallways and outside the rooms dirty and not well kept.

I travel to AZ every month and stay at this Hotel. It's close to EVERYTHING in Old Town and right across from Scottsdale Fashion Square. The staff has been there for the 2 years I've been staying there and the customer service is impeccable. The rates are extremely affordable and rooms have been remodeled and upgraded (at least the ones I've stayed in facing tge pool.. There's a Mexican Food Restaurant on site which is very yummy as well as a Stand Up Comedy Club. Never a dissapointment best value best location! Highly Recommend!!!!

Night front desk was very kind an helpful. Breakfast was very good plenty of options Location was perfect, the streets an how the streets run were confusing though.

The day front desk an manager were very rude. We wanted to pay for our room with cash an they wouldn't let us we had to run around looking for a bank to put cash into my account, after driving for 2 days with a trailer, the extra running around was stressful after thinking we could just check in an relax. We have an ADA certified emotional support dog because of my illnesses, an by law I don't have to disclose that nor do I have to pay extra for that... They charged me anyways. Our room had no towels or sheets on the bed. There were no cups for water No coffee or cups The pool was freezing cold for an indoor pool

the room was excellent, clean, the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff friendly. The breakfast was poor. the bread stale, the breakfast ini danish stale dry hard from refrigeration. The egg offered was disgusting; it was a little frozen round with a poor attempt to thaw on grill (they were cold in the middle with frozen water coming from them. I tossed the breakfast in the trash, drank the orange juice and went to McDs on my way .....

Front desk was helpful; informed us of many restaurants and bars that were located in Old Town. Typical breakfast and happy to have packets of salsa for the cheese omelet.

Location and value Stayed at Scottsdale Camelback in loft room for 5 days with a buddy on trip to watch baseball. Not a high end resort, but very comfortable and a good value. Pool, grill, walking trails were very nice. I would recommend for couples, traveling friends, and families. Kitchen was nice to have.
