Subpar spot, can do better
Very spacious room. Good fixtures in the bathroom.
Stains on the wall, rank smell in the bathroom, very soft beds. Our window looked directly into a slummy apartment across the alley. Wifi only worked in the lobby, but not the rooms very well. Also the location is not as good as it appears, the nicer area of town is definitely to the south nearer the cathedral church and Vitosha Street. The staff was very indifferent as well.
No problems at all. We liked the friendly staff, hotel and Papaya.
Hotel has nice confortable rooms. You could even think it is 4 stars
Paid Parking place some 10 min walk away, not very nice.
The bedroom was excellent and the facilities in the room...particularly the bath were lovely. It was nice after a day out to come back and relax. The staff were extremely helpful.
I'm afraid I was not happy with the breakfast that was provided. I was led to believe that the breakfast would be far more substantial. The continental breakfast I was offered was a a heated up 7-day chocolate croissant, not the selection of breads that was offered on the booking form.
The room was lovely spacious and clean
The only complaint was the hotel was very noisy it is on a very busy road. And just opposite they are making a fly over so it was extra noisy as they were blasting under the road all through the night It was a good job we only had booked for 1 night
Staff were very helpful, room was a good size and comfortable and the little balcony was a real plus as the hotel is right in the middle of all the buzz and it was lovely to look down on it all and soak up the atmosphere. All the important churches, museums, art galleries etc are within walking distance and the shoppng centres too. We are frequent visitors to Sofia and will definately use the Lion in future.
Breakfast could have been a bit better but, if you stick to the Classic one it was OK.
The staf in the reception were kind.
The restorant was closed due to a wedding
The frigerator not work in good condition/they have card to access the electrical sistem in the room.
Acess to internet
Unavailablity to have a cheaper rate with no breakfast
Problems with WiFi. Very poor breakfast
breakfast was excellent
