Superb Location! Nice modern apartments You have to give a deposit of £150 upon arrival which we had not been made aware of. We gave this in cash. When checking out a staff member had to check our apartment. She came down and told us that the towels were dirty and that we had been smoking in the apartment. We were not smoking in the apartment at any stage!. We were very frustrated and let down by this accusation as we had used the lovely smoking area which was 10 feet away from our apartment each time we wanted a cigarette. There had been cigarette ash left in the corner of the window sill which was not ours and must have been left there by the people previously staying there. It took 20 minutes to get the message across and we felt like we were being made a spectacle of because we were young. It seemed to us to be a way of making cash out of us. Eventually we were giving back £100 and £59 was kept to wash our towels! (Which had been provided for us by the way.) My advice if you are ataying here would be to check all areas for mess or dirt that has not been cleaned properly and inform reception A.S.A.p and bring your own towels. I am really disappointed with how we were treated and I wouldnt recommend staying here if you are a young group of people as they will try to make money out of you.
The convenience to all sight seeing and city centre shopping We were not impressed that the door lock failed and we had to be locked in from outside. We assured ourselves we could open from the inside but it actually took 10 mins of rough handling to open the door in the morning. The phones had no signal and so we could not contact reception. I'm afraid we would have to reconsider a stay at this hotel especially with children. I'm still waiting for a phone call with an apology which I was told I would get Monday and it is now Wednesday!!!.
Great location, very well designed, lots of space in the living area and rooms were very cosy and they both had tvs in them. Close to all the shops...liverpool one shopping centre just on the door step. Taxi and buses just seconds away, cinema footsteps away. close to everything really. We really enjoyed or stay and would go bk again for def.
Location is amazing if you are a shopper as it is right in the heart of the shopping district. You can fall out the front door right into the shops. Despite this close proximity to the shopping area of Liverpool One it is surprisingly quiet inside the apartment. Also it wasn't far from the train station about 10min walk so it was perfect. Fyi: the recepetion is on the first floor and they are open 24hrs and they are very helpful. I am telling you this as its not clear on the booking form confirmation or on the web pages and it confused me. Happy shopping!
how central and every thimg available tv toaster fridge just beautiful apartments i will defo b back and have raved to friends that they should use your apartments. enjoyed my whole stay
The apartments are very comfortable and very clean! Also they are in a brilliant location, right on the main shopping street. Upon our arrival we were hit with a £500.00 'deposit' in case anything happened to the rooms.Young girls wouldnt have this type of money. The hotel staff were not very helpful with this! It was not stated on our reservation confirmation that we had to pay a deposit, the hotel said that was Booking.com's fault so I think you should update this!
Modern self contained facilities in a excellent city centre location, with friendly and helpful reception staff. Badly adjusted door closers to apartment/corridor doors, resulting in late evening/early morning disturbance.Effective maintenance could vastly improve the guest experience in this respect,as otherwise noise between apartments was not a problem.Car park location could be better explained in,say, the booking confirmation.Had to park in an alternative car park on first night.
loved these apartments. Couldnt be more central and had everything we needed. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and got a 3 bed apartment really comfie and so clean. Will deffo book again.
Superb Location Clean Everything we needed was provided
its proximity to the city centre and the shopping areas Layout of living area, length of entrance hallway
We could not use any water facilities until 4pm on Saturday 27/11/2010.
very helpfull & very friendly staff.Top quality hotel without stuck up staff! Rooms excellant huge comfy bed, clean, well stocked mini bar, great sized rooms.lovely pool. can't wait to return!! Food prices a little too expensive so didn't eat at hotel.
Room had everything you could wish for, very well planned and thought out. Had a water cut off mid morning which was a little inconvenient as I was mid showering when it went off.
breakfast ansd staff were great
Frankly I liked everything.
The room was nice and modern and the lobby was big with outdoor seats staff were friendly. The location is quiet at night. We had requested an room with a view of the Mersey which we didnt get. The dining room carpet was very dirty and the hotel is a little far away from the city centre.
A bit too far out from shops etc
Check in was effortless. Rooms were are of a very good standard and clean. The extra bed was very uncomfortable.
I stayed a week at this hotel, and would definitely stay again when I return to Liverpool.
Girl at the gym reception extremely friendly and helpful !! Stroppy receptionist at the main reception trying to over charge us. When asked whether breakfast was included or not, said: "you are expecting too much for that price!!". Car park wasn't included either and it was rather expensive.
Staff were excellent and always attentive. Fantastic room with a glorious bathroom. Delicious breakfast and a great bar area in the lobby. Limited functionality from the Spa (one of the big factors in our choosing the hotel), inactive Wifi connection during the morning of check-out, and loud screech when the A/C was on full power.
we went to a concert at the echo arena and this hotel could not have been more covienient the pillows weren't very compfortable
All the staff were very helpful and welcoming No food (even sandwiches) available after 10.00pm. At the bar, plenty of alcohol available, but the coffee/hot chocolate machine was switched off at 10.00pm. No choice of teas in the room.
we thought the hotel was great and staff really helpful and pleasant and would definatley stay again. and recommend to others,
the rooms were very clean no
i had a very enjoyable stay here great location great service and great value
Location, clean Lack of character
central location, easy parking.
New hotel, ideal location (near the dock etc), nice and comfy rooms There were some teething problems with a new hotel. The fire alarms went off in the middle of the night twice on our 1st night. On 2nd night, no hot water. it was disappointing that the staff in the hotel wasn't able to tell us how long it would take to fix the problem.
The room was very basic, and for some reason although there was only two of us, they had made another camp bed type thing up, which took up a lot of room, leaving very limited space to move around the room when getting ready for our evening out!
The bar and restaurant areas were lovely and the service was excellent.
The rooms was clean. Excellent location, efficient staff, good breakfast and we got it at a good price.
A great hotel that ticked all the boxes! Nothing to report - the hotel is spot on!
The noise from the railway station was loud and distracting
Everything excellent..AS ALWAYS Un-faultable
the hotel was in a good location and the afternoon tea was very good value the only thing that anoyed me was magazines were advertised in the package we took hotel said they didnt have any and it was not included in the offer also sunday paper was not delivered when asked about it they hadnt got any left
Comfortable Clean Football weekend, loud at times during the night - not too bad and my son wasn't woken!
Great location, warm welcome, excellent food, helpful friendly staff. Real value for money. Will stay there again and would recommend to family and friends.
Really could do with replacing the mattresses.Otherwise a fabulous hotel
Great location, the rooms were fab and bed was very comfy. I expected it to be quite noisy but there was not much noise from the railway at all. Breakfast was great. An overall very pleasant stay and great value for money.
I loved the way the hotel was finished from the reception to the rooms. Nothing was shabby and was very tastefully decorated. The staff were so friendly and helpful, breakfast well exceeded my expectations, was fabulous, and even the dining room for breakfast was a superb room. My friend and I decided to have a meal in the hotel restaurant and the menu had a lot of choice on it and both of us loved the meal. I have never stayed here before and would highly recommend staying here to anyone. It's close to the train, city centre and ferry services and is a palace for a 3 star hotel. The red carpet is great for posing on!!! Nothing!! Well maybe no swimming pool!! Ha ha!! No nothing to change. Everything great, parking a fantastic bonus!
Friendly helpfull staff Not applicable.
All of the staff were brilliant the meals were beautiful and everyone was very helpful There was nothing i didnt like about this hotel
Its excellent location to most places within Liverpool. No free Wifi on site.
Good service and pleasant staff. Room great and enjoyed using the gym. Very close to many good restaurants. None really
Excellent service but slow check in due to queue and only two staff at the desk - I was in a rush to get to a conference dinner and as delayed because of this. As above
Comfortable, secure, great location for shopping Expensive restaurant...Hotel booking made on the Internet back in July and although we weren't staying until late November the money was debited in July.
An excellent room, the bed was very comfortable, very clean, there were excellent facilities the sauna & gym were great. We were offered breadfast for £10 each on check in but did not book as we were unsure what time we were meeting friends the next day on the following morning the offer was withdrawn this was the only fault we found with this hotel.
The city center location was spot on. The friendly staff. The room was very clean and welcoming. The bar facilities were excellent. In my view an all round perfect hotel.
Breakfast and service, piped sound into bathroom, tea and coffee in room, large comfortable room, desk and MP3 music player lead Not much -- all was pretty good
The Hotel is right at the centre of Liverpool, I felt the hotel description could elaborate more on this. Minutes away from the young and lively night life of Bold street, in the other direction only minutes from Church street with its outside craft/food stalls and a great selection of shops to whet your appetite on the way to Liverpool one. Hotel staff are excellent, very friendly however, they speak extremely fast and it was difficult to understand. They were very patient when I kept saying, I'm sorry I don't understand what you are saying. The bar is modern, fresh and inviting. The carpet outside the lift on the 8th floor where our room was loacted was very dirty.
Clean, modern, good leisure facilities, friendly staff, top quality breakfast. Lots of 'city' noise during the night, no bath (executive room), bit if a battle to get the internet switched on (we had paid for it in our rate), pretty expensive.
Conveniently located for theatre break. Clean, well equiped, compact modern hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent shower. Good selection at breakfast although sausages/bacon looked a bit undercooked. Although the shower was excellent the wc is separate from the ensuite and doesnt have a washhand basin and is less convenient than a traditional en-suite. Expensive bar prices.
Great city centre location The fan in the room was too noisy at night
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were tastefully decorated with everything you would need ie iron, hairdryer and safe. Very central for the city centre. No Bar. The rooming list had not been passed on from internet booking.
All the above comments , very pleasant hotel , night staff very helpfull would def. stay again Woken at 8;15 with road works (Saturday) morning that lasted up to 2 hrs, As this is ongoing work , feel it should have been pointed out to us prior ,maybe a reduced rate (or at least complimentary breakfast as we awake so early)but nothing about the actual hotel to comment on .
Beautiful hotel, excellent service I think it was the noise of the air conditioning or some sort of generator going all night which unfortunately kept me awake.
Very friendly staff and welcome at reception. Lovely bedroom, nice decor, crisp, white cotton bedding, good size TV. Big shower, plenty of white fluffy towels. Very good room service menu. Very nice restaurant for breakfast with a good selection, table service and not buffet. Would highly recommend.
Central hotel, close to shops & night life.Front of house staff very friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Housekeeping did not renew the toiletries in the room. The continental breakfast was on the mean side. Coffee, orange juice, cereal, 1slice of toast, 1 croissant & a slice of brioche on day one, no fruit or yoghurt. On day 2 we did not even receive the fruit juice, apparently, we should not have been given the juice the previous day. We were initially charged the full rack rate even though we had booked through Active Hotels, we were refunded the difference but only after we had pointed it out to them.On complaining about the sparse breakfast, the receptionist immediately refunded us.
Cleanliness of roooms, styling of decor, helpfullness of staff.
The room facilities were very good; all of the usual things were available such as tea/coffee making facilities, iron, TV but it was nice to have a docking station for my ipod and the quality of everything was high. Nothing.
lovely and modern, perfect location, comfortable with helpful staff Our room was right next to the lift so there was a lot of noise but other than that, we really enjoyed our stay!
The location was excellent. The hotel was superb, very clean and welcoming. Staff were very polite. It was a wonderful - all of it and i cannot pinpoint the best part. nothing.
The hotel was developed within the Albert Dock, a historic warehouse complex, as a result the rooms were not standard, and used the features of the old warehouse ie barrel ceilings, original brickwork etc.
Friendly, helpful staff; good position of hotel; good breakfast; large comfortable room None
The attitude of the staff, the quality of the breakfast and the location in the Albert Dock. Thought it ws a little overpriced for a supposedly budget hotel. They were painting and decorating the reception area at the main time of check out which was not very convenient.
The cleanliness was the best I have ever seen.the staff sorted out our problem immediately as below and refunded us without any hassle . only the 2nd night a girl said the wind was not her problem which I did not think was very professional Being put in a room that is known to be next to the air conditioning generator (401)and keeps you awake.moving us to a room with a broken window seal on the night of the hurricane
Central, clean, value for money Light bulb missing in bedside light, heating unit not 100%
Staff were pleasant and price and location were good, nice large room overlooking the dock, having stayed at 2 other big hotels this one was the best, would definately book again I booked bed and breakfast - but was told it was room only other than that the hotel was fine
I like the location. The Albert Docks is lovely Temperature of the room kind of cold
The room was not very warm
nice location friendly staff one thing i didnt know adout the room before hand ,it had a door linking up to another room this meant you could hear people talking quiet clearly in the early morning when we stay again we will look for a room that dont have this link up door otherwise we could have no fault with the hotel it was excellent will stay again
The location and the use of the executive lounge Paying extra for internet in an executive room
Central with good adjacent facilities Room poorly cleaned
It was brand new and very well situated for shopping and nightlife in the City I think it is a misguided strategy to charge for bottled water in the room-this seems a small point but it is the only hotel I have been to that does not provide it free of charge.
Location was great and the breakfast was really nice. The food in the restaurant was also very good. The air conditioning was a bit weak. It was cold when we were in Liverpool and it took about an hour for the airco to warm the room up.
Great location, new modern business hotel Management need to take responsibility for training staff properly. This needs to come from the top and filter down. Tea and coffee being slammed onto the breakfast table is not acceptable nor is a poorly trained bartender who knows nothing about the area he is working on. With a few adjustments things could run much slicker.
Thought the hotel was fantastic - great view, lovely room, great bar, great breakfast and good ambience. No radio or music in room v disappointing. The staff member on duty when we checked out wouldn't believe us when we said we had only had two drinks other peoples drinks had managed to get onto our bill. We were left waiting for a long time while she tried to sort this out and then we received no apology when she realised she was in the wrong!!!! Very poor customer service.
Rooms ready when we arrived. Reception and bar staff very helpful.
room and location were excellent Staff in the bar were poor. very slow and not attentive. Left to go to a bar outside the hotel as a result.
Hotel is ok, certainly better than it was a few years back. Buffet breakfast is ok, but some of us prefer cooked to order; fried eggs not offered at all!
We had the best of meals on Friday 19th Nov, beautifully served and presented and memorable and a good price. Breakfast also very civilised. The location was unexpectedly beautiful and the Gormley beach art breathtaking, making for a good walking experience after breakfast each day. We also enjoyed the excellent public transport system, we used the bus and the train, to get into the city centre. The shower was not to a standard that I would have liked, very meanflow and difficult to regulate! Saturday night in the hotel ws disapppointing and we would have enjoyed bar food availability to have gone on a to 8oc. After a very bust sightseeing day we just wanted simple food and relaxation.
Excellent value for money, very clean, breakfast really good.
Excellent staff, very helpful, convenient, comfortable, very good food with good service. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Nothing at all.
Good room size and very clean (Big plus for us). Had problems with the tv and could not find instructions. No sky to watch football. No fried eggs available only scrambled (this may have been available on request but didnt have time to find out)
friendly, helpful staff
Decor and ambiance in public rooms. Approachable but reasonably discreet staff. Location: Liverpool accessible by rain, and coast ("Iron Men") across the road. Personally found the bed not particularly, but wife disagreed!
Restaurant was full on the evening due to prior booking, bar food available but for proper meal had to go outside the hotel
It is beside a lake and near the sea. There are some pleasant walks nearby.
Location of hotel facilities and friendliness of staff Service slow at times on reception took long time to check on as result
The marbled elegance and old time styling. I worked there 47 years ago We did not like leaving
The staff were extremly helpful and friendly. Only stayed one night, breakfast excellent and parking availability excellent
Good location The hotel building and some of the decor would surely have been very impressive in its heyday, but is now very shabby and in desperate need of renovation and cleaning! Breakfast was poor.
Access to the city centre
Ended up goin home early hours in morning as bed was vile had dirty sheets looked like the beds hadnt been changed would never stay their again
Convenience of location. Pizzeria was not of the high quality I would have expected. I also think that breakfast of some sort should nhave been included in the price. The number of smokers hanging around the front entrance sets a very low standard for the hotel.
Perfect room. Very good location.
friendly people, obliging and it was very comfortable.
very loud noise outside from pub/saloon till midnight
Breakfast was poor and poor value for money cattle market
we like to go away as many weekends as poss, but not @ £114 per night, which is what we paid. the last time we stayed there early this year we paid £59
Staff were helpful. Cheap(ish) and cheerful. Towels not provided and I was charged extra for one. TV did not work.
Staffs there are very helpful, kindness. Room is too small. Toilet is too small.
basic, clean and good location corridore carpets needed hovering, they wouldve been better wooden like the bedrooms
Excellent location close to everything, comfortable room and very clean and nice bathroom. The staff was helpful, internet cafe next to reception. We liked the small room in the basement with no windows very much - very original. We prefer small and cosy rooms. There was a tamed noise coming from the upstairs disco, started after 10.00pm on Friday & finished after 3.00 am on Saturday - was bearable. No breakfast. Had to pay for left luggage. No air-conditioning, no fresh air.
- No windows in the room - no mobile network
Cheap To many people
good location you got what you paid for so no complaints
The location was excellent a 5 minute walk into town or £3 in a taxi
We all felt very welcome when arrived
The hotel was ideally situated for the event we were attending. Staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent We stayed at Premier inn on Friday 9th April at a cost of £29 but on Saturday 10th April the price jumped to £109. This was rather expensive condisering the amount of time we spent in the room as we were attending Grand National Event.
the staff the food the location the tv in the reception poor picture quality
The convenience of booking online, easily accessible location, comfortable room, friendly staff, cleanliness, good food
comfort and cleanliness of the rooms and friendly staff
Staff were friendly and efficient Poor internal sound insulation meant that I was woken by the early riser in the next room. I might as well have stayed in a Travelodge and saved some money.
We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The receptionist especially. She gave us directions tofind our way in the city and offered to ring for a taxi for us to take us to Huyton station. It arrived almost immediately. Would be nice if there were 2 easy chairs in bedrooms instead of just 1.
Polite receptionist, clean/well equiped room, great breakfast! Only one, my husband went to the bar and had a pint, he had to give it back cos he said it tasted of detergent, the bar tender was very polite and obliged with another pint.
Good clean and comfortable hotel with polite and helpfull staff. None
When I wanted to amend my booking for single night it was a struggle. Intially iam told they charge me more I agreed but later on they told me for single night room is not available hence I had cancel my booking and I had search for a room in the last minute
Service was really good and very friendly.
I loved the rooms. Very stylish and cosy! I did not like the noise. One of the noisiest hotels i have ever stayed in. I normally dont mind noise all that much but between loud music (which actually wasnt that bad probably because of our room location) the shouting on the street at 3am and the work on the street from 8am.
A good atmosphere,friendly staff,well located.
Welcoming and freindly staff. Good breakfast. Good bar/club in the basement.
extremely good natured natured staff It was intolerably noisy. First from band recording in studios then from neighbouring nightclub The bathroom floor was not clean. I could not access the internet, which I needed for wor
Room was very clean and comfortable and central At times the noise was a bit too much. Our room was beside the lift and the noise from the lift was loud and in operation all through the night.
It was more like staying in an up market funky apartment as apposed to a hotel it was great The lift, very old fashioned and very noisy to guests
we loved the design of the building and the furnitures, and is amazing go downstairs and have something to drink and live stage set. beatiful! just they may have more care in the room cleaning
Trendy boutique hotel and room nothing
Sharon on reception was lovely, she couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was excellent and good value at £6 all in. The location is brilliant for a shopping trip. There was noise from a local club until 4.30 am on Saturday night. It wasn't loud and most people would probably sleep through it, but it kept me awake.
The room was fantastic, staff were helpful and hotel was at excellent location. It looks like like an old factory outside, but like they say... 'don't judge a book by its cover'!
