Lovely, well kept rooms that were comfortable. I’ve breakfast and pleasant staff.
castle and great cafes are nearby.
Where to start; miserably hot and fans that last worked in the 18th century. Had to move to room downstairs, still stuffy and staff said they would bring fans while we walked about quaint town. Came back, room hadn’t been opened up to breath, no fans again and lights didn’t work. Shower was non functioning so had to call staff again,(an occupational hazard, I guess...) very expensive for a so called ‘boutique’ style hotel with little in the way of what you would expect for the price. Disappointing, but castle and great cafes are nearby.
The locatio is excellent as you just walk up the hill to Stirling Castle. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and the dining room manager, Cara, delivered a beautiful try of mini desserts that was delicious! We had dinner in the dining room and Cara and Carla provided excellent service.
You had to carry your luggage up the front stairs or roll it through the dining room.
No air conditioning made it uncomfortable to be in the room during the day and difficult to sleep at night.
The property is in a great location and clean, the food was great and staff were friendly and courteous.
The double room was quite small and an awkward shape, however we would stay again but would book the king size room instead
