The hotel looks very nice since it's been redecorated - a big improvement. My room was clean and modern and the bed very comfortable.
The ambiance of the resterant No everything was fine
We found the staff to be very warm, friendly and helpful.
The hotel was spotless!! I have rated the hotel staff as poor. This was because of the reception staff. I wish this person had the same welcoming manner as everyone else within the hotel. Reception staff give the first and last impression - sadly this was to a different standard.
excellent menu with a what wide range of interesting choices and reasonably priced. Very pleasant family hotel in an interesting old building.
Breakfast / location for my needs / car parking Dinner - menu very poor and expensive and lacked quality. Due to poor selection on the menu meant that I had to dine out the second night of my stay.
Food was very good Room was small, bed uncomfortable, shower worked when it felt like it.
Staff very polite and helpful, Rooms clean and to a high standard.
convenient and friendly. the restaurant food in the evening was very poor - the roast chicken had not been roasted but broiled (and tasted horrid) and the vegetarian meal was more like a coarse cuppa soup with very little taste. Breakfast was ok.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, close to shopping centre particularly ice rink which kids loved. Best breakfast we have had and service was fab!
Friendly and curteous staff, clean rooms and great breakfast
Friendly staff - clean room - excellent shower - good breakfast
Adequate Hotel to normal Premier Inn standard. Situated on a roundabout with the usual restaurants attached if you need them.
Booking .com had reserved a double room but I had booked a triple, the hotel quickly got this sorted.
2nd Time booked through Booking .com had no knowledge of my reservation so had to find another hotel for the second day I was due to stay, I will not book a Premier Inn via Booking .com again as i only have issues with the Premier Inn when booked this way
The receptionist was very helpfull, welcoming and gave us a more appropriate room (we had booked on line and the only room available was adisabled one) She also took interest in why we were staying and gave us travel details and a number for a return taxi which made things much easier not being local. There were none
staff very friendly and helpful. we stayed in the water lodge only downfall was bedrooms were downstairs toilet upstairs which made it a little inconvenient during the night. overall it was great.
fHotel and all surrounding buildings, river and countryside are surperb, hard to beat. The hotel and staff are excellant and when no weddings, seminars etc. a very peaceful place to stay. the breakfast bar is lacking in fresh cheeses and hams, etc. It looks makeshift and lets the kitchen down.
We had the most fantastic stay. Everything was perfect, including the weather. The countryside was breathtaking. Food and service couldn't be bettered. We liked it all.
Ease of parking, good rooms and breakfast was excellent Winter months the hotel is a little quiet qnd lacks atmosphere
The proximity to The New Lanark Mill museum. Was very quiet. Very friendly staff. Free WiFi in the public area. The too warm duvets and the "standard"size double beds, somewhat smaller than we are used to.
Nothing. Room has holes in celing!
We were advised of the evening entertainment as we were checking in. This made it easier to plan for the evening
Staff friendly, hotel grubby, good location.
It was great for us as it was convenient, very reasonable price and knew from previous visits that the good was excellent
Location Some days quality of fried breakfast could have been better
Convenient location. A lot of noise. I stayed there two nights: Friday and Sunday and there were loud parties going on each time.
Staff were exceptional, the hotel needs updated, but not offensive. Beds etc really clean, Carpets a bit grubby. but just take your slippers with you. Was really annoyed to learn they used to have smoking rooms, but new Smoke Detectors now being installed, and too sensitive to smoking. We had our supper there and was really good. apart from, Ask the chef to leave the viniger dressing off of all salad etc. I will be on our next visit. The no smoking, and the Vinigar Dressing on the Prawn Cocktail and my Salad on the main course. It was far too strong. The meal would have been 100% apart from the dressing?
Staff without doubt were the best asset. ALL were very friendly, courteous and helpful.
Good location for getting into the centre of Glasgow Rooms were very small - and somewhat tired!
the setting was lovely, quiet, rooms decorated to match historic house setting.room amenities very good. bar prices extortionate, even allowing for hotel mark up.
Did not like being charged an additional £2 fee for paying by credit card
Good Restaurant WiFi didn't work and the system depends on British telecom.
Very Family orientated - made us very welcome
We attended a lovely wedding Bar prices too expensive
Pleasant, comfortable atmosphere Bar meals/snacks overpriced
The evening meal was really delicious and the service excellent
We where not made aware that last breakfast was serves at 9.30 am and therefore when we arrived at 9.40 we recied not breakfast
Felt very welcome The cost for wireless connection of £10 for one night is i think unfair considering most hotels of this caliber offer wireless internet access free
This hotel is great value. Could find very little fault with it. Restaurant is exceptional
Convienient location and good staff Whilst the food in the restaurant was ok some elements of the meal was luke warm with a similar experience at the breakfast buffet.
Easy accees from motorway networks and parking.Clean tidy Some roads noise from traffic.expensive drinks and food in hotel
The bed sheets were disgusting! i ended up actually going and staying with a friend and not at the hotel
Good clean room with all the critical things working properly. A few blown light bulbs, tv remote didn't work very well & a very anoying shelf just above your head in the bed which I banged my head on a couple of times.
Spa and atmospher
the rooms and service the breakfast was diabolical and very disappointing - the swimming pool was too busy
Being at the same Hotel as the Wedding we were going to, breakfast, pool & suna Comfort of the beds not very good.
Good gym facilities and staff Room service main meal was lovely but cheese and biscuits were very poor value for money - celery and grapes looked like they'd been kicking around a few days!
quick and effortless time it took to check in being told about the amenities at the hotel the location of the hotel was ideal for us to travel around Scotland for the four days that we stayed breakfast time the meals and beverages could have been hotter
Staff all polite and helpful. Although the hotel was not in a great location the surrounding business park was very well maintained and picturesque The bar and lounge areas were very poorly lit and felt quite cold in the evening. Also could probably do with refurbishing rooms and leisure facilities although they were clean.
Great location, friendly staff Nothing
There was nothing bad to report about this hotel, we were extremely satisfied with everything None
Very attentive staff and the food was excellent.
The location of the hotel was very good. The restaurant was clean bright and the service from the staff was very good The room which I was in was adjacent or near to a pump/generator which ran for approx. 10-25 seconds during the night. At 03.30 I approached the person on reception and he said there was no such thing. So I kept a record and handed it in at the reception next morning. There was mildew around the bottom of the glass shower panel, this could have been removed by simple basic cleaning methods.
Staff really helpful and welcoming. They had no record of my booking when I arrived, however they quickly rectified the problem.
Entrance hall and Check in Flat screen tv Warm water in shower and comfortable bed Position near lake which was ideal for a walk Room a bit dark and dowdy Fair ground machinery a bit noisy but this did not go on too late
Excellent Hotel, very convenient for the motorway network around Glasgow No problems
Clean, Well Run, Good Food None
Good location off M74, good clean rooms, enjoyed complementary glass of wine on arrival - nice touch. Would use again if needing a stop over just outside Glasow
The staff were very good and very helpfull. From greeting right through to goodbye, a staff member could be found to anyser any questions. Problems with the wireless on the first night, but sorted by the second.
Courteous helpful reception staff, clean and comfortable rooms, cleaning staff were outstanding. excellent location for shopping and transportation. (5 minute walk) We were unable to receive the advertised special rates through booking.com, or the hotel website. (i.e. 29 pounds sterling)
We were made very welcome at reception by the lovely receptionist, she was very happy at her work and always smiling, she asked if we wanted to book a table for dinner & she did so for us, & what a fabulous meal it was too, would recommend this hotel to everyone, it was good location & very very comfortable, night porter was lovely & chatted to us after we came back from being out at our friend surprise party, we hope to stay again very very soon. love it. thanks again & welldone . No not at all everything was perfect
We liked the friendliness of the staff, the quietness of location and the room. The Beefeater across the way served excellent food and was just as friendly.
Close proximity to East Kilbride shopping At every Premier weve stayed in there is a smell of smoke or stale vaccuum cleaner smell in the corridors.
Reception staff, handling of problems, excellent breakfast. Responded immeadiately to a change of room request and activated the good sleep promise without asking. Dripping sound from behind a bathroom panel, net room had television on all night at a load level. Corridors and the bathroom in room 31 smelt of smoking.
Adjoining restaurant for both breakfast & dinner was very good & very nice decor. Room was very good size. Showers over baths are a no-no as far as we re concerned. Room also lacked a safe & refrigerator. Both facilities we consider essential.
the comfort of the bed was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and extemely helpful.all in all we had good experience.
Staff were extremly pleasant and helpful at all times Would have liked a bigger tv in the bedroom , very hard to see as it was very small
ideally placed for shopping centre bath badly chipped and rusted
freindly staff and very helpful no
Free wireless internet with no password required, cleanliness of the room, LCD TV with freeview channels and great breakfast.
Staff friendliness Creaky floors and paper thin walls !
Friendly staff. Good value food, served well. Good bar. Great breakfast choice, including a very upmarket preserve. Don't write to me as "Dear thurgood", it's downright rude. Cheap room fittings bely the beautiful building. Couldn't get the free WiFi that was offered in-room (22).
The whole ambiance
The staff were friendly On arrival there were dinner plates on the side of the bed in my room. The sink plug were sticking down which when reported they openly knew about it as the reply I had was ''Room 5 again is it''. The food was of adequate price however for £18.00 for fillet steak that looks appertising but is extremely chewy then I feel they should visit other hotels in the area and sample the same food served . I feel the Dakota/ Bruce/ Alona/Moorings and many other hotels in the area have a far superior quality to them for on average the same price.Very disappointing
it was a very convenient location the location of the room (11) , from ground level -upstairs along long corridor - down stairs along corridor why no direct access to ground level rooms
The breakfast was very good. Having to carry suitcases upstairs along numerous corridors and then downstairs again.Thick dust along edges of carpet in room and teabags made the tea taste horrible.
Food in restaurant, quiet location The deep fried fruitcake for breakfast or whatever it was!
Relaxed atmosphere, good and varied menu.Excellent breakfast Probably a little more attention during dinner service, although young waitress very pleasant.
Very convenient for the Town Centre, public areas OK and very reasonable price The room decor and facilities are very dated
room could do with redecorating
The room was cold (no temperature control) and had not been fully refurbished. The food (via room service) was warm rather than hot. I had to wait at least 5 minutes for someone to come to reception when I wanted to check-out (there was no buzzer to summon a member of staff). There was no information about the hotel facilities within the room e.g. breakfast times, and the receptionist did not inform me of anything like this when I checked in.
location The Guest complained about comfort and the size of his room
comfortable enough and quiet. night staff service very poor (manager I believe)
room not listed for me not cleaned from previous guest rooms need updating
Manager was excellent he was always trying to please. Reception staff were very helpful
clean modern rooms to remote, the restaurant in the hotel has a poor menu
It would have been nice to have been told that this hotel also has a nightclub in it's basement, due to this oversight I was kept awake on the friday night/saturday morning untill 03:02 Hrs when the thumping finally stopped, This left me Extremely tired for a Job interview I had gone to Scotland for, thus my performance was very poor due to lack of sleep.
i liked the location of the hotel. the hotel is run down and need of a re vamp the room we were in was 112 which has a veiw of a roof top and not much else. the fire extingushers in the hall had so much dust on it i wrote on it please clean me. the tv had one decent picture on the channel could not get any more channels on it they sent up the barman to fix it but he could do nothing with it so we put up with it. breakfast was a joke we had to wait to get a table to which had to be cleared everything was cold had to ask if they could fry more eggs as the tray was empty of them waited ten minutes for them.
facilities, breakfast very good selection and quaility very long wait to checkout at desk, restaurant food much to hot, just come out of microwave?
easy parking, nice room, friendly staff bar lacked atmosphere and was slightly more expensive than other hotels
The whole stay was almost perfect. The room was lovely, the pool easy to access, staff friendly but most of all the food was fantastic and not overly priced. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
great food,comfy bed,pleasant staff
A typically efficient Holiday Inn with good gym and swimming pool positioned on outskirts of East Kilbride on orbital road with safe car parking.
Sink blocker not working. Bed lamp not plugged inn. Telephone not plugged in. No soap in shower dispenser. It seemed like they were,'t prepared for guests!
swimming pool breakfast was poor
The breakfast buffet was great and they had a bar where you could get a pint!!! The wireless internet was problamatic and the bussiness center charged to check your emails on the computers there; I think that should be free.
Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff Room lighting could have been better
I enjoyed the peace and quiet and the room was nice and large. The room was cold and didn't find the heating instructions very good.
Hotel ,downstairs fab.food great, staff really friendly . upstairs still to be refurbished, I was staying in room 20 and was awake all night ,due to a loud noise which sounded like a fan, was really dissapointing as it spoilt the next day due to lack of sleep. On leaving complained to receptionist, £10 was reducted from bill ( BIG DEAL)
Nice location and a nice Olde Worlde character. Excellent breakfast. Room very small and decor a little tired, but bed was comfortable and room temperature ok after the window had been open a few hours.
Very good helpfull staff with a great warm and friendly atmostphere to the hotel. Food in the Bistro was excellent. The whole experience was great and very good value for money. I would stay again. Bathrooms could do with upgrading
the location was excellent and mos t of the staff were exceedingly helpful the family rooms were not really spacious enough and although i requested a cot there really was not any room for one
The staff werer very helpful. the rooms were very small.
we both enjoyed a lovely meal in the newly refurbished bistro, and has a lovely evening in the hotel lounge some of the rooms still require ungrading
Clean, tidy, comfortable and in good condition Nothing
Staff were most helpful, friendly and accommodating when requests were made of them and took trouble to resolve even small issues. Decor, furniture and bathroom fitments were a bit jaded but I understand these are due to be updated / replaced in due course. There was a water leak from the air vent in the bathroom of room 34 which was a nuisance.
Spa Bedroom was not made up. Bistro table not available for 15 minutes after booking time.
The staff on hand were excellent (Karen). We were staying there as we were coming to a family reunion. Me and my sister were quite nervous as we hadn't seen some of the family for sometime and by Karen at the desk being so nice, friendly and very helpful (as we were in such a rush to get ready) we relaxed and enjoyed our evening. Thank you.
This was a pleasant surprise as we had never stayed in a premier Inn before - the staff were friendly, the room was larger than expected and there was lots of hot water and a full size bath. Excellent value for money.
i knew the area i grew up in eastkilbride so it was a return home for me
staff very helpful and children friendly nothing
The overall experience of the Peel Park Hotel was excellent, we paid £53 for a family room which may have been a little expensive, however, check in and staff were excellent, the carvery next door was really good, would definetly reccomend and return. Perhaps price of room and price of breakfast was a little expensive.
The staff was very nice and helpful The location was a little farther than we wanted but we made due
Friendly staff, clean room,
staff incredibly friendly n/a
Nothing, the attitude of the manager (paula Middleton) was a disgrace, she could do with some customer service training. For this reason I will not stay again, I normally use this hotel roughly 6 times per year and on this occasion I had family & friends staying, I will never recommend hotel again. Manager (paula middletons) disgraceful customer service skills or should I say lack of
Very friendly staff and excellent bar and dining facility.
I have been staying at the Eglinton Arms now for about 12 years and it has always been excellent. As it has been about 18months since I last visited I was concerned that the overall experience would have degraded with the introduction of Best Weston. I need not have worried they have smoothed off all the edges to make this hotel one of the very best around. I travel allover Europe and the UK, this is still my favorite hotel fabulous! The weather! Everything else is just great.
General guest areas of hotel were excellent. None
staff extremely freindly.hotel was fresh and newly refurbished. very comfortable bright rooms well equipped. difficult to find
Staff lovely, fresh clean good room. Fan in bathroom very noisy. Tv remote control not working.
The location was very pretty A comfortable hotel.
Good friendly service from all staff & very clean the food was excellent have the fish and chips spot on
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we found them very friendly indeed. I couldn't find any bad points whatsoever
Even though there was a lot of disruption due to building work the staff made every effort to ensure it did noy affect our stay Only complaint was the beer was to cold and alternative cask ales would have been nice
Good sized family room. Play park across the road. Beautiful refurbishment taking place which did not have a negative impact on our stay.
The hotel is tastefully decorated and the staff are extremely helpful The room was too hot - I stayed in a room with velux windows and it was just too light in the morning
It was quiet clean and a good evening break from home the room was comfortable and spacious the location was good and the staff friendly and eager to help the restaurant bar was excellent and again the staff couldn't have been nicer.
I would stay at the hotel but I would not book through you again. The address given on your webiste (my booking form) was incorrect and caused me to get lost when trying to find the hotel.
The position of the hotel for shopping and visiting friends , the staff were friendly and tried to help with booking breakfast. The room was clean on arrival- but the soap dispensor did not work ok for the first night but I feel if the maid was doing her job she should have found this and rectified this by the second night also the room had not been cleaned on the second day. Only 2 tea bags for two days with two people in the room this was only a minor niggle but it did make me think I was uninportant to thaaem
Friendliness of the staff. Ease of booking in. Clean and tidy inside and out. The bed was awful. We felt as if every spring was pushing through. As a severe arthritis sufferer it left me more painfull for a few days and i am only 55yrs old. We did report it in the morning and they said they were awaiting 5 new mattress and that we should have reported the night before and they would have changed our room. However we thought perhaps all your mattresses were the same. Obviously not...
evening meal and service was first class receptionist was very helpful and pleasant room could have been checked prior to arrival only 1 set of towels breakfast maids very slow and not attentive asked for beans still waiting toaster machine poor had to put bread through three times and still not done
staff efficient and very helpful no complaints
Clean and tidy rooms, friendly staff
I have never come across such friendly staff who actually looked as if they enjoyed their job, especially girl with blonde bob.
stayed at this hotel to break the journey travelling from the north west to st andrews for the golf weekend very convenient location
