Someone was given a key an tried to enter
Room was just ok, looks dated for other hotels, similarly priced, in the same area to the airport. Hotel is in desperate need of renovations to keep up with aging equipment causing more maintenance problems.
I got in around 1030 an was quickly ready for bed. Only to be awoken not once but twice some tried to enter my room. The dead bolt should’ve kept them out but that didn’t stop them from opening the door. Luckily I had the safety chain/hasp over the door so they could only open it to that. Tried to call front desk but no answer. If it was them then why not call after to apologize and assure that it wasn’t a hazard for me to stay there. Just craziness that I probably won’t be back to this La Quinta ( despite being a consistent customer with them).
Just For Airport Location
The reason for staying here was just to be closer to the airport because of the redeye flight.
The room smelled funny and musty. Seemed to be a smoking room and the changed it to a nonsmoking room.
Hotel style was interesting.
The outside was dusty and surrounding were dark.
Friendly staff. Clean. Nice Pool.

Breakfast was spartan, poor selection of fresh fruits, cereals, breads. No breakfast meats or cheeses. breakfast bar was poorly attended resulting in less than cleanly appearance. Room amenities were almost non-existent. Staff seemed tired and generally disinterested, perfunctory.
Dead cockroach in room.
There was a dead cockroach in our room. The manager never contacted us after we called and left a voicemail message for him. The pool was closed for maintenance but no work ever seemed to be done to rectify the situation. The "gym" was the size of a postage stamp with almost no equipment.
The shuttle to and from the airport was excellent. Having breakfast there was nice since I had an early flight. We were also close to Denny's.
The noise level. I was right by the elevator and there were people coming and going all night.
