The cleanest and newest car and the most comfortable drop off everReviewed 23 Jul 2026

Booked the managers choice for car, but when I went to pick it up I was informed it was an electric car and that it needed to be returned with at least 80% charge. As it wasn’t a Tesla, I asked where one could charge near the airport (as we were staying closer to Galveston, it would be an hour+ drive back to the airport) and the desk worker told me they didn’t know. Not wanting to end up paying an undercharged car fee, I was forced to pay more than double at the desk for an economy car. Staff was curt throughout the whole experience.Reviewed 23 Jul 2026

I thoroughly enjoyed the pickup and drop off process. Our flight was so early and we were running a little late but being able to drop off the car was such a smooth process it helped us make our flight on time.Reviewed 22 Jul 2026

Loved that they were able to accommodate us. When we booked the rental, it was for seven people. We didn’t realize there would be no space for luggage. The seven passenger SUV did not fit us nor our luggage. We asked if we could get a sprinter van and they said no, they didn’t have any in stock. We ended up with a 12 passenger van, which was more than enough space but not easy to get around in Aruba, and challenging to park. The staff at both check-in and return were very helpful and kind. We also assumed that when we put in the airport location that is where we would’ve been picking up the car however, the airport location sent us to a hotel that was a $60 cab ride away. Still don’t understand how that happened, but it all worked out, just way more expensive than we had originally planned.Reviewed 21 Jul 2026

All good apart from being charged a cross-border fee of 65 francs. Hired a car with Alamo two weeks previously and was not charged at all - and wasn't even asked if I was going across any borders. Seems like a desk scamReviewed 21 Jul 2026

I went to pick up vehicle that I rented a month before get there they don’t have it. It says in the contract they would give me something similar I rented a 7 passenger van and all they had was a 15 passenger van that was way to big and that was my only choice between that and another huge van okay I understand if they don’t have my vehicle but to charge me an extra 46 dollars a day for something that was not my mistake is unacceptable so I had to pay an extra 400 that affects my finances for my family’s trip very unhappy and thrifty was absolutely no help at all needless to say I was furious I would love to talk to an actual human being not an aI generated person from thrifty they said it’s not their problemReviewed 18 Jul 2026

Great experience from check in to drop off. I took the mystery choice for vehicles and ended up with a Ram 1500 truck. Loved it so much, I am out looking for a new truck!Reviewed 17 Jul 2026

The station did not remain open for our delayed flight. The next day we received an old model with a very high mileage. The seats were dirty. No screen wash.Reviewed 17 Jul 2026

Wasn’t so much the car but the company has been a nightmare to deal with. I hit a rabbit on the way home and I was NOT able to file an incident report no matter what I tried. The button for it would either not work OR I would be let to a page that said the link expired. I wound up having a $650 charge that I’ll now have to plead with whatever third party insurance thrust upon me to absolve. The entire experience of this has been nothing but hugely stressful on me and my finances. I can’t say I’d use kayak or hertz again in all honesty.Reviewed 16 Jul 2026

They upsold without full information. The car was a tin car and cost more than a nice sedan in Scotland! It was not worth the money and I felt cheated by what I was given for what I paid.Reviewed 13 Jul 2026

Charged us a ridiculous amount of money for a 2 mm scratch on the rim of one tire which we claimed was there when we picked up. We didn’t think it at all significant to report at pick up. And now we are being charged for it which was always there.Reviewed 11 Jul 2026
