If you’re on the hunt for luxury hotels in Victoria, look no further than The Magnolia Hotel and Spa. Widely regarded as one of the best hotels in Victoria, you’d be hard-pressed to find an amenity that the Magnolia doesn’t have.

Located in the city centre and close to famous attractions like the Inner Harbour and the British Columbia Legislature Building, you’ll also be walking distance from some of the city’s best shops and restaurants. Of course, the hotel itself is home to an incredible restaurant, The Courtney Room.

In addition to the regular menu, I highly recommend the tasting menu, which has the option of added wine pairings. Book ahead for this fabulous culinary experience – my mouth still waters just thinking about it. Really lean into your luxurious holiday by booking a treatment at The Magnolia Spa.

A National Historic Site, The Fairmont describes itself as “Canada’s Castle on the Coast,” and it's also famous for being one of the best hotels in Victoria. What’s more, if you like to travel with your pet, you’re in luck. This is a pet-friendly hotel, where I once enjoyed an impromptu solo weekend away with my dog.

My favourite feature of the Fairmont is its Willow Stream Spa, which offers a wide menu of treatments inspired by the surroundings of Vancouver Island. Although deep tissue massages are usually my go-to, I branched out and got the Tranqwillow Facial, which combined an incredible facial with breathing and calming exercises.

You also won’t want to miss Tea at the Empress, where you’ll feel like royalty – and can even sample the favourite tea of royalty. The Rose Congou Emperor, which is layered with rose petals, was a favourite of Princess Diana’s.
