very quiet and romantic hotel to stay at stairs going to the rooms were very squeaky late at night
We loved everything about it, the food, beer and service was excellent. the room was clean and the location is very good for the Birmingham NEC which was the reason why we stayed at The Old Mill. The pub has loads of character as well. We would definitely stay there again There was nothing that we didn't like about it
The location and setting of the hotel was superb. The room was very spacious and clean. The restaurant had a wonderful ambience and a good selection of food on the menu. Sitting outside, enjoying a drink, on the decking area by the river was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend the hotel to anybody looking for a quiet relaxing break.
Excellent service from all staff. Excellent food and restaurant facilities. Excellent ambience in bar and restaurant area. Spacious room layout. Free wifi and excellent car parking facilities. Felt safe as a single female guest. External light close to the window and only a thin blind meant that the room remained relatively light all night making it difficult to sleep. Pillows thin, hard and uncomfortable. Shower would not fully turn off and could be heard dripping all night - again making it difficult to sleep.
Staff very friendly and nice bar/restaurant Noisy central heating system
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, big rooms. The room could have had a bit more lighting,
Service and Comfort
friendliness of staff also beside river location shower facilities were "tired" and need refurbishing
Size of room, location of hotel, very comfortable
Staff were very helpful The food, to be avoided at all costs. My partner was served mashed potato that was still frozen.
The friendliness of the staff
Excellent food, helpful staff Rooms were tired, poorly maintained, and in need of a refurb.
Superb room and facilities, would recommend the restaurant.
Very friendly welcome - in fact all staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and the food was excellent. A very minor quibble is that the bar didn't open until 6.30. The TV was very small but otherwise, no negatives.
Convenience of position Bed not comfortable
Reception and dining room staff were friendly and helpful. This is 2nd time I have stayed as it's convenient for the NEC. It's quiet, easy access to M42, Birmingham airport. I shall stay again.
quality of food in the restuarant
Meal was very good Thin walled rooms, noisy when there are a lot of people staying
Nice breakfast and the hotel was clean The bed matress needed to be changed as we both kept rolling to the center of it over night. The bathroom was very clean but I found the tops of the bedroom furniture were dusty.
The location was perfect for the NEC The temperature of the hotel, the room was very hot even when we turned the radiator off in the bedroom, we could not regulate the bathroom radiator. It was a bit uncomfortable
Friendly, warm and attentive staff without being intrusive. Qualityof food excellant
Location The plug in the bath in the room got stuck and was unable to drain bath. After reporting this to reception it took far too long for anyone to arrive to fix. This they couldn't do so i had to take a shower in another spare room the following morning. Evening meal room service was poor - quality of food very disppointing and very expensive for what it was!. Overall there was very little feeling of any welcome from staff and politeness was not something they adhered to. Hardly any appology for inconveinec with room
Excellent rooms and facilities. The restaurant was particularly good.
The location Limited menu
Relaxing, Comfortable very well looked after, Very good food on both nights stayed. Hotel was fairly empty as booking covered the early part of the week
over-pretentious chef. excellent quality, but too nouvel cuisine
pleasant surroundings room smelt of strong disinfectant
pleasent staff and very posh but comfortable hotel
I myself did not stay, I had booked for one of my bosses, but he came back strongly recommending the hotel for future use. Liked everything
Bed was gorgeous and the grounds & setting very smart, but relaxed not applicable
Very pleasant. The adjoining pub had good quality food and a good choice too.
The hotel suited our needs very well. We had a two night stay to attend a wedding in the area. It was incredibly convenient for us.
Karen was especially fantastic with our children and all staff were friendly and helpful. We even left a toy in our room and the staff sent it back to us wihtout us even asking. Fantastic service, we will definately be returning and recommending this hotel. This is a comment about booking not our stay - I booked a quad room on the internet, but the hotel did not recieve this information so had expected us to have a double. However they checked our booking confirmation and changed the room promptly and without fuss.
close to destination and good fit motorway.
Good service Breakfast expensive
the staff were very friendly and were very helpfull no
Friendly staff, clea and comfortable room Seemed to be smell of smoke in bathroon
Excellent hotel very friendly staff
Clean and comfy Postcode didn't take me to hotel using sat nav. Had to phone up for directions although I was only a mile or so out!
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Didn't like the small bath towels.
friendly helpful staff cleanliness peaceful environment pleasant surroundings No
the staff were very helpful and the place was beautiful
Great value for money, especially if you are a golfer.
The spacious and comfortable superior conservatory room with lovely complimentary Cadbury treats. The buffet breakfast was tasty with a decent range to choose from. Prompt and friendly service from all staff throughout.
Food, Service, staff, quality of facilities Table clothe at breakfast was not clean and the shower head in our bathroom directed the water too close tot eh taps.
The whole experience was amazing felt totally relaxed
We only stayed one night, but found the staff and the atmosphere excellent. The carvery meal in the restaurant there was excellent and is thoroughly recommended.
I like the surrounding grounds and it has a quintessential appeal about its artichect and surround. the mattress was little too firm for personal taste but I slept well nontheless
generally good no issues
Great location for Midlands business trips, helpful staff. Its for the independant guest and perfectly suits our needs.
The room was lovely and light and had a lot of facilities Staff were all lovely and helpful too Small refund made for staff entering my room while I was still in bed! No wifi which was advertised and a reason why I book hotels Tv reception terrible, most channels pixelated so badly you could not watch them Male staff walked in while I was in bed (on my own) apologised and left. Was a shock to me and he should have known I hadn't checked out.
Peace and quiet of rural location Lack of staff and open reception on arrival.
very quiet - good access to the west midlands - friendly staff Ironically, no access to a hot breakfast
friendly atmosphere no
Primarily its location. It was very quiet at night thereby ensuring a good night's sleep. The Limes is very dated and needs a bit of a refurb. Our room was far from clean.
Fresh milk provided Website didn't make it clear that you needed to prebook continental breakfast. Hospitality basket had not been replenished from previous occupant so had to seek out someone for coffee etc. Was provided with cereal and milk for no charge as basket had not been replenished.Shower rather grimy.
Comfortable and well-equipped room. Ample and healthy breakfast. Easy to find. Easy parking.
Breakfast in our room no
Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast, very healthy.
The Limes provided us with a relaxed stay, a perfect room and a gorgeous breakfast. We will be definately staying there again.
helpfull staff, good food, easy parking no
Excellent value for money on the price we paid. Plenty of available car parking space. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location to Birmingham and walking distance to Touchwood shopping centre. Good breakfast and leisure centre. Its was cold. Very cold in the corridors and room was cold, as the heating system was not working. Vector heaters had already been given out, but extra blankets were delivered to our room very promptly. Only heating in the room was the bathrooms towel rail.
No draught beer
Lobby bar, reception service. No service at breakfast, cold plates, had to ask twice for tea, then had to get own cups, knifed forks ect... Off other tables, in view of waiters who did or said nothing. Room smelt damp and looked a little dated.
Good price, in a good location, it had very comfortable beds and pillows, nice fire in the bar. Buffet breakfast not great, the food was served too cold. And the temperature in the bar was too cold also.
We were close to the NEC (attending Crufts) Hotel easy to find, we were made welcome - no charge for our dog, (unlike most hotels/travel lodges). Breakfast delicious and service excellent! Had slight problem with leak on shower attachment (got soaked!) and bath taps a bit strange.
Food okay Reception - bloody slow. Bar - cold and slow servioce.
Good value at £59 but not if if it was dearer Standards have slipped in last 3 years Breakfast not so good No biscuits in rooms Had the nerve to charge residents to park there!
The relaxed atmosphere and friendliness of staff.
Modern, clean, comfortable and efficient staff. Car parking at nearby multi storey car park costing £5-40.
It's quite, cozy, clean and has all the basics that a traveller needs All was great
Excellent total experience all round No bad points at all
The hotel was easy to fine and ideally situated for visiting the centre of the city. 5 mins walk from the shopping centre, 10 from the Catherdrel. No specifc parking for the hotel, although there was a car park next to the hotel, which the hotel gives you a 10% discount for.
Close to City Not much to do in Coventry
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was good value for money.
Staff were excellent as was the room itself - Martin was exceptionable - very helpful
Clean good bed nice space good facilities/good None!
Clean, modern, attractive Staff not good at helping, bad language
Clean, friendly helpful staff, nice bathroom and bed. No Iron.
The pub/restaurant was very good. Good food and cheap too however it was very busy and there was a 45 minute wait for a table in the dining room although you could eat in the bar area. In spite of me reserving specifically a twin room, when we arrived it had been given to someone else and there was only a double room available. Apologies were given but what is the point of a reservation if any requests are ignored by the hotel.
Very pleasant staff, nothing was too much trouble. Attached pub provides excellent food. Allowed us to remain in the car park after checking out while we visited local area. Our room was nicely furnished with a double and a single bed. (Family room but used for two people, at no extra cost) Nothing really bad to mention, although the handbasin plug was missing, but this was easily resolved. No hair dryer in the room, but one is avalable to use. We took our own.
Good parking Musty smell in room Bed too soft and too smallLack of desk area,Missing WI FI instructions, No hair dryer. Very cold cooked breakfast
Clean, tidy, spacious well appointed room, quiet, good breakfast, good pareking, convenient location. Showing limited wear aand tear but not detrimental to the overall experience.
Tissue paper insufficient. Towels not enough for two people, there was only one set
Room was good, pub next door convenient and good value Room I was in (32?) seemed to be next to heating system, was noisy all night.Would still recommend but be choosy about room. Had problems at checkout as company was paying b&B and i was paying extras. Staff didn't know how to process as not used to checking out in this way.
Good value for the money, staff friendly and helpful. Room clean Shower very slow running water.
A really pleasant getaway at an affordable price. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need. The bar and restarurant are great value with plenty of choice and again is very comfortable.
Pleasant firendly and efficient staff - Rooms well laid out with plenty of storage - Heating was on and easy to adjust. Musty smell in corridor and bad smell from the drains in the room on arrival. Disappointed with the Pub as they had run out of 4 items, including what I would refer to as core items (vanilla ice cream & coleslaw) and breakfast could have been hotter.
the location for me was most important for easy to get there and were i was going to
Receptionist staff very good responded positively to matters raised, parking and location ideal for my programme Evening meal very basic and on reflection just about average quality, breakfast similarly tired, the furniture/bed in particular needs replacement
I loved the location of the hotel. I didn't liked that receptionist was not avaiable at the check out at 6 am inspite of my announcement the day before. I nearly caught the plane in time.
The location of the hotel gave good access to an excellent town for shopping. The restaurant food was of a good standard. The labyrinth of corridors to reach room and the size of the bedroom.
not much The food was very average
location the bed was uncomfortable and we asked for a cathedral view which we did not get
crisp whit sheets, comfy bed Poor sound proofing
Super, efficient friendly staff in all areas. Restaurant excellent-Breakfast and Carvery both excellent.
Overall the hotel was basic but comfortable. The rooms were small but OK for short stays. Location good and next to excellent resturants. However our room was very noisy until the early hours of the morning and we found a sharp metal spring sticking up out of the matress where the two single beds joined to act as a double bed. We did report this when checking out. We had lunch at the hotel and the resturants was cramped, tables small but reasonable food.
Ideally situated in the centre of Lichfield.
Service. Central location. The food was overcooked and dried up through being in display all evening. Probably good at the start but when I ate at 2045 it was awful.
lovely tranquil setting and good standard of facilities and food.
Staff reacted well to setbacks. Very nice room (albeit next to car park), but some lights didn't work. Excellent swimming pool. Our room was for disabled people, and had no shower facility and an awkward bathtub. There was no TV remote or tea/coffe making facilities, but staff quickly remedied this. Directions for getting to hotel need to be reviewed.
Very clean Very poor service especially in bar
I wasnt happy with the first room they provided, but they gave me an upgrade without fuss. the second room was lovely, and the spa was well appointed The standard rooms were small and needed updating.
Ease of booking through this web site The food standards have dropped. Charging for WiFi access which didn't actually work. Pre-authorising my credit card for "added incidentals" which apparently is for "my convenience"
food / room service was good heating was broken, hairs on the bathroom floor and carpet grubby
Setting and atmosphere. Very slow bar service. No draught beers or lagers available, apparently sold out. Beer was obtained by the manager after I complained.
The geography of the hotel with steps and stairs made it difficult to move luggage around. I have a case on wheels like many to save carrying. I thought that email assess in an improved and upgraded hotel was poor only really being available in the common areas.
The swimming pool facilities were good. The bar service was poor and the size of the meal was poor value for money. There did not appear to be enough staff for the size of the hotel. The record of our booking was not on computer and they blamed the booking company which was very unprofessional. Also wrongly stated I was room only and not bed and breakfast.
easy access to major cities and tourist locations, eg Stratford the bar was unusable as there was a wedding reception and for most of the evening only had one bar man serving, hence very slow service.
The facilities were ok for the price...ie.Bar / Breakfast. and the hotel is fairly close to the NEC. The hotel staff in the Bar /Front Desk/Restaurant seemed bored and demotivated. There didn't seem to be many people staying at the hotel, so it seemed the were doing 'the minimum'
We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable, it suited all of our needs, and the food was really good, if a little too 'arty' for our tastes.
Good hotel and good clean room and breakfast nice. I was asked for extra £20 pounds when arriving but it said on website all fees and service charges were included in the room charge but I got it sorted out by a member of my party.
Good environment and nice golf pitch. I found a spider on my bed.
Altho very near centre of Coventry, one would have thought you were in the country. Very friendly staff, fantastic Leisure centre and pool, choice of a restaurant or Cellar bar for food & drinks, very reasonably priced.
Great hotel and leisure club just wished i'd stayed longer to use them ! comfortable clean beds and towels breakfast was great and lots of it, would certainly stay again.had an event at the Motorcycle Museum which was really close. None
the swimming pool and facilities
Due to our experience there was nothing to like apart from the view from the room. Bedspread in room 219 had holes. Went to Cellar Bar late pm prior to dinner - bar was full of 'gents' and very rowdy - eventually gave up and went upstairs with our drinks. Went to dinner to discover that myself and friend were the only females in the restaurant. Although only 7.45pm restaurant very loud as golf parties and stag do's in already - as obviously been drinking 'all afternoon' there behaviour was not suitable to being in a restaurant. Menu disappointing as it had half of the choices on it that the web site gave. Food poor quality - only canteen standard as obviously used to being 'churned' out in high volume for golfers and stags. Trouble in Cellar Bar late at night - drunk tried to intice husband into a fight.
The Leisure facilities and sauna were superb, very clean, with the staff being most helpful. The pool was really good. The reception staff were also very helpful in sorting out a colleague at their sister hotel nearby
The swimming pool was very good and the man opened it up especially for me as they had listed the opening times wrong. The restaurant had very little menu choice. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The staff failed to make my wake up call making me late for attendance on our stand at a show at the nec. Not very happy. Was booked for two nights, only stayed the one!
Spacious room. Good location. The general sense of the hotel was 'down at heel'. I sensed it has changed hands and did not feel as well maintained as previous stays. One serious defect was that the cold tap on the bath would not work - I reported this.
Location Very out dated, and looked unclean, stained and frayed carpets throughout, first room tv not working, trouser press wires hanging out and not working, bathroom dirty and bath enamel comming off, room decor dirty, view out of window filthy flat roof that needed maintenance, dining room frayed carpet and broken dividing cables on mezzanine, Waiter, although pleasent chap absolute hyper ! run run run run everywhere as in a panic.
conveniant to City Room not cleaned and bed not made up. TV. not working and hotel failed to mend faults. Not dissabled friendly no lifts no ground floor rooms
If I had read any of the reviews prior to booking this hotel, I would have avoided staying there even if I had been charged nothing. As it was, even the £30. that I paid was an extortionate rate to pay for staying just one night in the place. It is dirty beyond belief, and the "decor"/ facilities belong in a "Grade 1 Listed" museum of typical 50s/60s design - (when thoroughly "deep cleaned"), - not in what anyone should expect of a purportedly "AA 3 STAR" accommodation, No Matter What Price is asked!! See Previous Paragraph.
Quiet and peaceful surrouding It took more than 1/2 day to find an iron and an ironing board when requested for. Also, there was no pressing and laundry facility available at the hotel.
Nice, well-stocked little bar. And the cost - very reasonable The room itself and bathroom were very dirty. My toilet had no toilet roll.
Very little Dinning facilities
Nothing, except from the location. It was the most terrible hotel I have ever being. It needs renovation from scratch. (note: I have visited many many other hotels).
staff really not interested in their job, no greeting, no smiling. Downstairs of hotel very shabby. Asked for bar snack menu, told that someone had it. It was a typed list in a plastic sleeve, my grandkids could have produce something more professional and she is only 7!!. Room was ok. glad I was not paying full rate.
No restaurant as advertised.
cleanliness of foyer and entrance looked impressive We were initially charged more than we booked on booking.com but this was resolved. The room we booked was not available on arrival and we were given a smaller disabled room with broken lights, very poor bathroom and brown stained towels
the height of the beds for children. too high
Better than average room for the rate.
Cost, cleanliness, acceptance of dogs Two bulbs blown in room
A very well equipped room at a price that was more than fair. Shame you have to pay for wifi access though.
Courtesy of staff
Convenient and friendly. Shame no food available other than breakfadst but excellent chinese opposite.
The comfort and cleanliness, choice of a smoking room, the breakfast was very enjoyable with plenty of it Being on the 3rd floor on a hot day it was very stifling it would have been nice to have been able to hire a fan from the Hotel.
better pillows nice breakfast
Lovely bright and clean bathroom with big fluffy white towels. The bedroom was also smart and clean. Couldn't work out whether or not internet was available. The staff were OK but some of them didn't seem particularly interested in me as a customer. Others were great.
Excellent food, wireless Internet access, excellent service.
Beautiful countryside, great shopping in Birmingham. The grounds of the hotel were very well kept. well past its refurb date. environmental health and health and safety issues.
Spacious, well equipped room. Very comfortable and clean. Nothing
Wonderful family run hotel. On arrival we recieved a very warm welcome and were given a beautiful room furnished in keeping with the Georgian period of the building. A nice modern bathroom with quality toiletries and a good power shower. The restaurant is very elegantly furnished and the quality of the food at dinner was fantastic. A little more expensive than average, but then this is not your average restaurant, worth every penny for a special night out. The owner is very passionate about both his food and wine. Excelent full english breakfast. This hotel was exaxctly what I was looking for as a weekend treat for my partners birthday.
Chef Patron served breakfast wearing dirty whites and not over sociable, restaurant was rather rowdy we opted to dine elsewhere. Room decor was rather dated. Cutlery and tableware could have been in better condition. No one was about to receive the keys when we left.
The service is excelecnt and willing to help you non
Excellent Breakfast (didn't have dinner) Friendly helful staff
noisy revellers in the nearby Market Tavern Pub, a short distance from the hotel - this isn't a reflection on Chapel House b/c they could not control for that occurrence, but it did interfere with our sleep.
Friendliness of owners
Nice quiet place, good service, ok place
Excellent service from helpful and experienced staff, feature rooms with period furniture were a delight, good choice of food well prepared, and beautiful, well kept gardens.
My stay was very comfortable and relaxed enhanced by the atmosphere and setting of the abbey's history. Most enjoyable and will visit again when opportunity allows.
Very atmospheric - loved the 'Ancient' decor! Much too dark - couldn't see to read in the bedrooms and quite often got lost in the corridors - very confusing in an emergency!
It was such a different hotel experince and very intersting from a historical perspective- great price at off peak rates wonderfully quiet, tranquil, excellent food and the staff made you feel very special. A great place to go with a few friends to get away and relax in style. You really need to have a rental car so you can drive around and explore the other areas like Warwick castle
Beautiful old Abbey, with decor consistent with old english style. Staff were exceptional Could do with a better hot water system
The setting of this hotel is really special. Located adjacent to a beautiful park with nice walks and woodland it is a great place for spending time relaxing. For me, the darkened medieval atmosphere and interesting decoration is what sets it apart. At £170 for the night, it was the most expensive hotel I've stayed at. But, other than its unique setting and interesting decor, it certainly didn't offer anything else as outstanding as the price. Service was very basic. For instance, no-one to show you to the room, certainly no help to carry your bags. No indication either at check-in or on the paperwork that check-out is 11.00am. Breakfast was included, but as it finished too early for me at 10.00 am this was not sampled. Also, there was pressure to throw me out of the room at 11.00am as this is their (too early) check-out time. Perhaps a visit to the far East for the staff would educate them in the standards that are now expected by international travellers.
The most wonderful hotel we have ever stayed in. Just beautiful. The bill was wrong when first issued. This was corrected very quickly.
The atmosphere and surroundings, and also the peace and tranquility
The hotel staff were extremely efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, the hotel is an exceptional location and eventhough it was a busy weekend the hotel was peaceful and relaxed.
The unique nature of the hotel and the staff who were excellent. It was exceptional value for money as well. I will certainly stay there again
I found it very cold in the room even with heating on, should of asked for another duvet!
food was good tired appearance of room, stains on wall
The waitress who had a sense of humour! The fire alarm going off at 4am (faulty sensor) THe hotel receptionist (miserable)
Clean, modern room
Good value for money - Nice English check in staff Hotel infrastrcuture looks a bit dated, but then I wouldn't have got if for £50-00 if it had plush surroundings
the bed I had was probably the least comfortable I've slept in, I have stayed at this hotel a number of times before and have had no problems.
Helpfulness of staff A bit out-of-the-way
The staff were excellent and the hotel is excellent value for money. The perfect position for getting to the NEC each day as well.
hotel room very basic, carpet on stairs very drab as if not cleaned, bathroom very cramped, when usingtoilet my knees were up against the shower cabinet, very uncomfortable and limited toiletries, bar very busy with a wedding party so guests had difficulty getting service and seating
The hotel was convenient from the motorway network and well signposted. The poor quality of food and general "run down" feeling of fixtures and fittings many of which were not functioning did not make the stay enjoyable.
Ample carparking It was very basic with no food options. But was not charged a basic price
Value for money evening meal. Friendly atmosphere. 1. On querying breakfast time I was told I could not have breakfast as I had not requested it at time of booking. However, the online booking procedure did not specify this requirement. It did refer to the cost of breakfast .. giving the impression that it would be available. 2. Although this next point was not important to me personally, it would concern some guests. The landlord and landlady do not live on the premises. I was the only guest, and so I was alone in the Red Lion overnight.
Clean comfortable beds. No other good points. No bathroom towel rail, or working fan. Water luke warm, washbasin minute, shower flow poor and no c.h. in mornings. No chair or wardrobe in room. TV didn't work. Dirty socks left in one drawer. Generally shabby - tea/coffee stains, chipped paintwork, one drawer handle missing, venetian blinds broken, stained waste bin not emptied during our stay, or tea/coffee supplies replenished.
Value for money No food available on the evening and only pay and display parking on site even though when booked it said that food and free parking was available
Good beer - Marston's Pedigree. Clean and tidy room. OK for £29.50 but very basic. Friendly staff who could achieve so much more with a little more effort and attention. 1. The postcode shown was for the landlords house - not the pub. search for Churh Street. 2. I wanted an evening meal and they weren't serving them. I did get complementary sausage and chips after the quiz which was OK. 3. I wanted breakkfast but was told I should have pre-ordered it when I booked. There was no facility to do this. It showed as a £7 additional charge on the room details. They needed to bring in staff to do breakfast so I didn't get any. 4. Thin walls - kept awake by snoring neighbour. 5. Tiny wash basin - no soap
it had a seperate enterance to the rest of the pub.the numbers type key is a very good idea.carparking was very good. lack of staff when i left.I felt like a thief creeping away.lack of access to food. ie. was not offered either somethuing to eat when I got there nor (as there was no staff in the morning) was I offered breakfast. even though the blurb for the Red Lion did say breakfast coyuld be had for £7. But I must say that all things considerd I would and even may book in there again.
Good location, clean room, friendly staff Shower cubicle too small
Nice beer in the pub. The lodge at this 'hotel' was a portakabin that was damp. My mate joked about it being his room when we arrived in the car park. He stopped laughing when they gave him the key! Also, I have never been to a 'hotel' that does not serve food. There was no food on offer at all even though I arrived before 5:00 p.m. Breakfast was not available either. It would have been if I had booked it when I booked the room. This was not made clear on the booking.com website.
Staff were friendly. No record of booking when checking in. Could have potentially lost the room. ~Communication issue between booking site and Hotel, needs reviewing.
Adequate room with shower, hot running water; good breakfast for £5. The establishment were not open till 5pm on day of arrival. Active hotels said 'dogs allowed by arrangement' I mentioned fact in my booking; however when I checked in I was told 'dogs not allowed' though the owner relented.
