Good location in centre of Newry. Excellent lesisure centre. Large comfortable room. Bar and food areas rather gloomy. Too much dark wood.
Freindly and helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms and fabulous food Price is at the higher end of the market.
Good food , well priced , staff were very pleasant , hotel very comfortable and overall it was very good value for money .
Facilities in the room Breakfast was a bit uninspired
Spacious rooms,excellent staff
staff very friendly and helpful dinner in restaurant was lovely nice location very happy with my stay here
i enjoyed my stay in the hotel it was clean and friendly would have like to have been asked if i wanted double or twin room
What i liked best about the hotel is the friendly staff and the wonderful food served in the resteurant. The lesure centre staff are very helpfull and the gym is well equipped and the swimming pool area is a good place to relax before heading out for the night.
i have stopped here many times and the hotel is excellent with very attentive staff at all times nothing
great for shopping in newry shops all around the hotel rooms are tired looking old tvs most 4 star have flat screens now had a little problem with room was quickly given new room but when I mentioned it on checkout receptionist was indifferent practically said it was our fault because we were let into the room at 2pm which she said was early as 3pm is checkin time not good enough
Friendly very helpful hosts and excellent food.Lovely rooms and excellent location. No
Excellent atmophere, great rooms, welcoming friendly staff, comfortable place to sit and chill. Non, might be noisey if you wanted to sit out during summer evenings due to close proximity of road
Warm and friendly atmosphere. Kids said they 'enjoyed the breakfast and the beds were nice...' The decor' was beautiful and there was a computer available, which the kids took full advantage of. Only slight negative was that perhaps the windows could have had lace curtains for privacy.
Friendly relaxed atmosphere, helpful staff. Nice furnishings in the rooms, good attention to detail with the decor
The accommodations were very comfortable and it was en suite. The furniture and decorations were lovely. We even had a pub owner come get us and take us to his pub for dinner. It was a great dinner. I would stay here again.
Received & warm, friendly welcome. Room was of an excellent standard & well equipped. Breakfast had everything we could have wished for & more ! Would highly recommend this B&B
Pretty nice rooms and a clean bathroom. The breakfast is awfully good and lovely. Thank you for a nice night at Lisburn! n/A
Very friendly and nice people.
Very comfortable with friendly staff. Lovely breakfast with as much to eat as anyone could want. Very convenient location and our own private entrance allowed us to come and go as we pleased.
Very friendly and welcoming. Facilities first class and as advertised.. Easy to find. Excellent breakfast. Nothing
We loved the friendliness of the owner and her daughter. They welcomed us warmly and chatted easily about themselves and the area. It was a most wonderful introduction to the country of Ireland.
Excellent service from the staff involved, very friendly, helpful and spent the time of day with you. Room was very comfortable . Could have done with a full length mirror in the room also more coat hooks to allow guests to hang used towels to dry (room slept 4)
Homely and friendly No bad points
It was very homely, warm and comfortable
Stayed many times and without exception receive a warm welcome, a comfortable nights sleep and a fantastic breakfast.
The owners, David and Gillian, were absolutely great. They helped us find great restaurants in the area and helped us with directions. The breakfasts were good too. They also let us use their sat nav for our trips around the area. They were the best. It would have been nice to have better wireless connections.
A great place to stay as it is on the south side of Belfast and any easy drive to Dublin. We were greeted with a warm welcome. Our stay was most relaxing and very peaceful.A Nice walk into the pretty village of Hillsborough.Breakfast was superb.Would recommend Dunhill Cottage without a doubt. Nil
The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. The host was very friendly and helpful - he gave us a lift into the village to an excellent pub/restaurant. It is very convenient for Down Royal Racecourse.
Lovely, comfortable, and spotlessly clean place to stay. The family could not have been more welcoming. The breakfasts were home cooked by the owner, and delicious! The eggs from their own farm on the premises. Loads of advice about the area and places to go.
Friendly staff All "hardware" i.e room equipment is a bit very old and very basic. One star rating justified, but never three.
The hostess was friendly. The breakfast was fine. This hotel was sub-standard with regard to cleanliness of rooms. The shower cubicle was not clean, showing black gunge at corners and around edges of tray. The tiles in the shower had mildew on the grout. It was clear that when the door was open, the cleaner did not look behind the shower door to clean. The wooden floor in the bedroom (2) was cracked ie chipped boards. I had to move the bed and dressing table to access sockets for my work. Inside the wardrobes were very dusty and there were quilts and lamps stored in them. The valance on one of the beds was dirty and had not been changed.
A very warm greeting on arrival, friendly atmosphere for all of our stay, cleanliness, comfort and excellant food.
Couldn't do enough for you, very flexible and accommodating. a real home from home atmosphere. Very friendly and very clean. Room cleaned daily and towels changed as required.
Nice place to stay and very central No evening meals available
The lighting was poor. No bulb in the loo. The room was tatty, the mattress of the lowest quality. There was no obvious heating. V poor.
Great hospitality, clean rooms serviced daily, good breakfast menu.. Beds are getting a little tired
Convenient Location Maybe a little traffic noise but not a big deal really. Double glazing helped.
Very welcoming, warm, pleasant atmosphere. Gorgeous breakfast cooked especially to suit our early departing time. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Tea/Coffee available on arrival. A rural setting on the edge of the city excellent location for our requirements. We'll be back! No
Quiet location in the countryside with a nice cooked breakfast and friendly relaxed atmosphere - typical B&B style The room was very modern and clean with a great shower, however quite small for more than one night stay.
I can find no fault with the experience my brother and I had during our stay at the Down Royal Guest House None
Breakfast was excellent and always on time, room cleanliness was good and facilties second to none My only bad point really was that the owner never introduced himself on my arrival
