Pros: It was our second stay at the Peninsula and it was even better than the first time. The quality of services is amazing and people are really caring and taking care of your wishes with a smile and full politeness.
Their Mediterranean restaurant is excellent as well as the Lobby for tea time. The room is extremely nice and has full facilities, nespresso machine, mini bar, tea facilities , dressing room, and big bathroom with both shower and bath and two sinks. All is controlled via a kind of iPad which works great! I love also their concierge box. It is extremely central and situated in a luxury small shopping center.

Cons: We had noisy neighbours on the first night but the staff were very professional and quick to deal with the situation. I would probably choose to stay in a hotel a little closer to a train station if I visited Bejing again. The service at the rooftop bar was a little slow and it lacked atmosphere, although the view was lovely.

Pros: Taking in consideration the ratio between price I paid for the room and the level of room and services it has been absolutely the highest I have been in Beijing, which I visited several times and in different hotels. I really appreciated the room very large with all amenities and in particular equipped by an espresso coffee machine with capsula "Nespresso". The Lounge at 10th floor very comfortable and, from 5,30 till 7,30, with a large availibility of food and drink. Moreover location is surely good at just 15 minutes walking to the main shopping Street in Beijing that is Wangfujing. If they are keeping the same prices I will surely return there again.

Cons: Personal was very rude this time. When I moved in the guy on the reception was extremely rude to me and my friend who helped me to get there from the airport. Next time when I tried to change money from USD to RMB, the staff at the reception didn't even want to talk to me, were demonstrative mean. They were also mean to a foreign couple who was staying close to us. But were pretty polite to the Chinese people. Maybe I was wrong, but I really had this feeling... Even the guy who is responsible for caring luggage and helping to get taxi tried to push me with his shoulder and didn't even try to apologize. As I mentioned before, it is my 4th time in this hotel, and I never faced such problems. I am afraid that there is a new manager at this hotel. If yes, then his work and the work of the staff is very unprofessional. I really like this hotel. Will stop there the next time when I will be back to Beijing, but if the situation with the staff won't change, then I will never come back to there and won't recommend anybody to do so.

Cons: The staff didn’t speak English well enough, which makes it difficult to simply get a taxi or reservation at a restaurant. Every day we had to ask for the room to be cleaned and tidied because it still wasnt at 5/6 pm. The swimming pool was very nice but super loud with rude clients and kids who took lessons in a pool made for relaxing. Even the jaccuzzi wasnt a safe place from all the kids shouting and jumping in the water. The staff had nothing to say about it but they kept harrassing us about swimming caps. Felt like a public swimming pool. Not recommended for people looking for quiet and peace. Not worth the price.

Then I learnt if I transfer to a non-window room(which apparently they have a lot as well), I could get free breakfast, plus snacks, refreshments through the day in the club lounge, plus there is a 2 hr free meeting room can be used. These benefits were attractive, I was ok to stay in the non-window room. Nothing wrong with the service, but I have a big question mark on the hotel room design.

Cons: The hotel does not help you to call taxis. They book limo cars, similar to UberX but of a higher class, which usually cost double the price of a normal taxi. The reason stated is due to safety and security issues but it's a lot costlier if you are on a personal trip. Strangely, it's also difficult to flag a regular taxi outside the hotel as taxis do not stop there. Not sure why. Breakfast cost was expensive thus opt for a room only rate but there's not much breakfast options available nearby the hotel. They don't really change the sheets everyday but it's okay.

Cons: The front desk staff forgot to tell me that getting a taxi is not easy and that it could take quite a while before one comes. The area for waiting for a taxi is not clearly designated and there is no ramp for luggage which has to be lifted down a curb and over to the taxi. They need some towel racks, something none of the hotels I stayed in seem to know about. I don't know where this goes, but people ought to know that they have no bell hops and you have to carry your own bags. I generally do that anyway, but for some, that would be a hardship.

Cons: I was last at this hotel 5 years ago. Same carpets in the rooms; but, quite a few stains later. Gym is very small. Avoid a room on the side of the Railroad station. Very load at night and bells ring loudly in the morning.

Pros: This is our third stay over the past month. The staff are great, the rooms are comfortable and the location is perfect as it is within a 5 minute walk to the subway. Across the street is Cofco mall that has a Starbucks, a bakery and a few restaurants. Also, this time we had breakfast at the hotel. The selections were varied and very tasty. I would highly recommend Howard Johnson Paragon Beijing to anyone looking for a comfortable hotel at a great rate.
Cons: Everything is pretty good. My only suggestion is adding an extra frying pan at the egg cooking station as it took a long time to get a fried egg.

Cons: The checkin desk was rude. They dont have clear explanations on what is being charged and what not. We had to pay a deposit but the amount was just stated and wanted to be charged not explained. I kept asking if the deposit and room amount will be charged at same time on the card but they did not seem to understand my question. The guy that helped me was very unprofessional. At a time when we are tired of travelling and just want to get checked in he did not make things easy. One afternoon we were seated in their restaurant in lobby and wanted to order drinks. The lady I formed us that only ice cream was available and that we could not order any drinks on the menu given to us. Then why have a place downstairs if guests cannot order from the menu given.

Pros: The Beijing Prime Hotel Wangfujing is located in a perfect spot: short walking distance from where all the action is - the Wangfujing shopping area, packed with shops (Apple, Gap, H&M and many many more) and Tons of great and authentic eating joints. And, in 12 minutes walk you get to the Subway (Dongsi) which we found very efficient and a great way to reach all parts of the city. Our room was big to extra big, clean with all necessary amenities. We checked out the morning buffet on day one and even though it was satisfying in a way (terrible coffee), we preferred checking out other eating options outside in local bakeries and coffee shops. All in all - it was a very good stay!

Pros: Our family enjoyed our stay at Beijing Prime Hotel Wangfujing! The hotel was updated with clean, large rooms in a perfect location with two subway stations located on two adjacent corners. It is also situated between the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and Jingshan Park and Malls at Oriental Plaza with all sites walking distance (less than 1.5 miles away). The hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. We loved our tour of the Great Wall at MuTianYu & Sacred Way with Sally which we booked through the hotel after our arrival in Beijing. We also used the hotel’s money exchange which provided fair exchange rates. There was also an amazing local restaurant across the street that served yummy Peking Duck for our family of four for approximately $30 USD and several Seven 11’s nearby for snacks.

Cons: 1) The lack of stable internet and wifi. It hardly worked in the 3 days/nights we were there. 2) The old and rundown aspect of the hotel -- including towels with BIG holes and bed linens with several small holes. 3) The check out experience was very bad. They made mistakes on the charges and it delayed my check out by 30 minutes. 4) Staff at the Chinese restaurant was not friendly.

Cons: First of all: the hotel is located not at Dongsi station but minimum 400-500 m apart (actually it is next to the stop of line 8 - National Museum). This is the only metro line which doesn't provide you a good connection with city center. Bathrooms should be refurbished. The WC played strange sounds in the night and it was impossible to sleep. Swimming pool was OK - but the stuff was doing chloride cleaning while we were inside... We haven't tried the breakfast so cannot comment. Although the stuff insisted that our room was "deluxe" one - I would rather say it was "standard".

Cons: Please give all the evening consierges an English class. For my last day I asked for help to book a massage at the hotel spa after breakfast. I asked for 9 o'clock. If someone says 9 o'clock after breakfast they mean 9 in the morning. Spa didn't open until noon. I still got help and got my massage outside normal opening hours but it was VERY awkward.

Cons: The property was old and run down. The beds were hard and very low to the ground. Breakfast was awful all the hot food was cold and was not cheap. Would recommend walking to baker and spice just down the road for same price and tasty food.

Pros: The location is the only good thing about this hotel. The hotel is old, dated and deteriorated. The staff barely speaks English. The breakfast is average at best. The room was dark and moldy. Very somber and sad. I was searching for an earring under the TV table and found some cookies that were from the previous guest. I wouldn’t recommend it. For the same price you can find MUCH better around in Dongcheng District or Wangfujing. I only saw locals in this hotel. The hotel arranged at my request for a taxi of the hotel to take me to the airport and the guy wanted to drop me at “arrivals” not departures. He didn’t speak English at all and was using GPS - I think it was his first time driving to the airport!! Please don’t go there!!!
