Pros: Really nice owner Great location Modern with some quirks
Cons: Light switches a bit odd
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The lighting options in the room was nice, also the bathtub was great.
Cons: That we booked only 1 night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely delicious breakfast brought to our room where we ate it in the robes provided. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place. The bath was so relaxing and not too far to walk into town. We had a lovely early dinner at croquettenbar smaek.
Cons: Nothing it was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The design
Cons: The wifi was a bit slow
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Especially loved the Jacuzzi bathtub and the really nice breakfast in bed. Stunning architecture. Nice owner.
Cons: Missed a bathroom door...
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice room
Cons: It is practically not a hotel, but an apartment in an old building, nicely renovated. There is no service from there, they only provide a contact telephone number. Breakfast brings you to the room because the restaurant is not there, they bring you to the room at the time they want and not at the time you want. We had to leave hungry because you overslept to make us breakfast at 8 o'clock at which we asked. "Hotel" has 5 stars but I give it 3. Nobody helps you bring suitcases because there is nobody, there is no restaurant or service. At first, the lady gives you a key and a letter with instructions on how to get to the room in no way reminds you of a 5-star hotel service I do not recommend

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the little details like the beautiful shampoo and conditioner, the amazing bed sheets and the bath robes! And the interiors! Our room was gorgeous!
Cons: the internet connection could have been better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast and spa availalbe (to book) in the basement. Located between the shopping district and the old centre. The design is wonderful, it is a pleasure for the eye and senses to walk around such beautiful suroundings. Very attentive and friendly staff as well. If you sit down in the lounge someone will always ask you if you need a drink. Despite the fact they run the receptiondesk, spa and bar at the same time!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, wonderful design and location. We’ll be back :)
Cons: Only minus is that entrance to spa facilities had an extra cost. Should be included.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, staff very helpful and friendly .beautiful lounge area with fire , warm and welcoming in January weather. Room well equipped with very comfortable bed. Good breakfast . Would definitely return.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice decor and looks, spacious rooms and halls, modern furniture. Great location. Room was clean and slient. Spectacular soaps all around. In fact i brought more of them on Amazon (they are for sale at the hotel but I couldn't carry them home).
Cons: Sometimes this modern looks can feel a bit cold. For example, great looking sofas may not be the most comfortable. Spent a couple aftewrnoon at the hotel and the place was super nice but could have been more cosy. Upper rooms don't have elevator.
Boutique Hotel Maison Emile - Antwerp - Building

Boutique Hotel Maison Emile is centrally located in Antwerp, a 5-minute walk from Zuiderkroon and 6 minutes by foot from Provincial Museum of Photography. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner really makes you feel welcome, the beds are good, in the neighborhood are a lot of nice restaurants and the eggs at breakfast are yummie!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very kind service. Delicious breakfast. Very nice area of Antwerp. Nice restaurants nearby.
Cons: Some noise from the outside.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The owner/manager of the building greeted me with a fantastic welcome and always referred to me by my first name whenever he saw me throughout and made check in as quick as possible. Before I even went to my room I was told I was upgraded to a bigger room and given some delightful tips and places to eat around the local area. Usually I stay in the Centre and although I was just slightly further out then normal I was in the museum area with some hip and trendy places to eat and it was close to walk or catch a tram. The room was good and decorated well and to a high standard with great broadband and good bathroom facilities and brilliant samples from Rituals. The shower was strong and the room had great A/C. I couldn’t hear a thing when I went to bed (although it was a full hotel) and had an enjoyable few days. There was an honesty bar packed full of wonderful refreshments and a very clear system on how to use. On checkout I was given a cheerful goodbye and a discount voucher to use again.
Cons: I was very pleased the room was automatically upgraded and delighted with the room set up but perhaps a double bed rather than two singles together would have been better as I could feel the slight gap between the beds when I was in the middle and a little nervous the two beds would separate during the night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We had a very good moment at Maison Emile. The host is super friendly (from the welcome, the tips for visits and restaurants, until breakfast and checkout). The building is nicely decorated. The room was cute, clean and fresh. The breakfast was good! The hotel is close to the part of the city with all local bar and restaurants, but the rest of the historical city is also easily reachable by walk or public transport. There is also a big free parking nearby. So good address to bookmark!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about the Maison Emile! It small but quaint and immaculate. The breakfast spread was yummy and the honor bar was handy for our off-hour needs. the hotel was easily accessible and close to restaurants, bars, and public transportation. Our room was a touch small but comfortable. I loved the toiletries so much, I had to buy some to bring home to remind me of our wonderful stay. Be prepared to walk up several windy stairs to get to your room, but I found that charming.
Cons: Maybe vary the breakfast offerings a little and add a few more choices to the honor bar. Nothing big. All we have are great things to say about the lovely Maison Emile.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean boutique hotel with a personal " antwerp" touch. Staff goes at great length to provide the necessary service. Good and healthy breakfast.
Cons: The air-co made a sissing sound all the time, so we had to put it off. Happily it was not necessary to have it on all night, although it became a little bit chilly in the morning. The acoustic isolation between rooms could have been better, our neighbors where loud when they came in, in the middle of the night.(but that was on the account of the neighbors, not on the account of the hotel, rude people, you find them everywhere.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, the staff super-friendly and the breakfast outstanding. The room was very nice and spacious and especially the bathroom was an experience.
Cons: the bed was not so good (at my end-my wife liked it a lot) and I felt the blanket was too warm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really enjoyed our 3-night stay at Hotel de Witte Lelie. The decor was beautiful, we loved the different themed rooms, beautiful textures and creative furnishing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, accommodating all our requests and making our stay very comfortable and superbly enjoyable! Breakfast had a good selection of good quality, healthy items (and not so healthy, your pick!). The hotel was quiet and located very conveniently with short walk to many good restaurants and best shopping in Antwerp, as well as the museums. Really enjoyed the non-hotel vibe ie only doorbell entry, no public access made it feel more like a home rather than a transit point. Would definitely stay again during our next visit!
Cons: Would have been nice to have fitness facilities, but for a short stay this wasn’t a big deal as all other amenities made up for its absence. I might also struggle ever having breakfast without candles and a fireplace...
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing. The hosts were very friendly, prompt and helpful. I really enjoyed the beautiful couches and common rooms with cozy fireplaces throughout the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Just a beautiful place. Lovely staff and really pleasant breakfast.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect accommodation for a reasonable price. The hotel is located in the quiet street, close to the Central Station (walking distance). The staff is very empathetic and helpful, the breakfast is rich and varied. The room is equipped with historical furniture. I would stay here again if I return to Antwerp in the future.
Cons: Everything was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very personal, individual experience. Everything was done with care and showed character. Highly enjoyable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Very kind hosts. Good bed, very comfortable.
Cons: The bull's head mounted on the wall was a little odd.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The house is a beautiful old gentlemen's house for the high class people back in the day. The entrance is old Renaissance and the rooms more art deco-ish with bakelite radios and 60s dressoirs. The breakfast room is more or fashioned with nice plates and silver cutlery. The rooms are clean, but the gravy curtains and carpet flares up my allergies slightly. The bathroom is large and had both a shower and bathtub. The owner and his wife are extremely friendly 5 minute walking distance to Central station and 20 minutes from city center All in all a wonderful place to stay in Antwerp, would come back again Then you Luc!
Cons: A bit pricey
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very friendly welcome by the owner with tea and explanations to the city A very special, big, room and bathroom with much attention to the details. A comfortable bed! It's almost a pitty to go out! Beautiful breakfast room and delicous breakfast. A great place!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the geographical situation between the train station and the historical center. I also appreciated the kindness of the staff and the atmosphere of the location.
Cons: I would have prefered a more environment-friendly breakfast, with less packaging.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good bed. Coffee & breakfast. Very good location, on the fringe of the centre. Traditional property with window roller shutters. Aircon.
Cons: This is a traditional property with stairs. Average shower, but ok.

Cons: breackfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super hotel! Everything was perfect. The view and the room were very nice.
7.5 Good
Pros: The bathroom and bed are really luxurious. You should try it.
Cons: The breakfast is so expensive and not open buffet, it is better to eat breakfast somewhere else. The lighting in room is disaster.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice design & comfort room/ bathroom. Location
Cons: No parking, no breakfast included and some rooms are next to /above to café/terrace with the usual smokers chatting outside till the wee hours.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was great, very comfortable and a nice view (we had a room on the waterfront). Also the breakfast was great.
Cons: Their prices were really high. We had dinner in the restaurant because the weather was really bad to go out. There were hardly any visitors in the restaurant. Although the food was good, the prices were not in line with the quality that was offered (EUR 21 for 2 garnalenkroketten!).
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice room, excellent location, bars & restaurants in the immediate vicinity
Cons: Access to the hotel by car, horribly expensive parking
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I LOVE that there is no breakfast buffet but à la carte breakfast, meaning you don't need to battle and choose at a confusing buffet in the morning...!! 10 points for that! Furthermore the place has a very stylish lounge bar for a drink in the evening. And: the restaurant is superbe..!!
Cons: Antwerp taxi driver don't know this place - you will need to help them find it - though the hotel is at a very popular spot directly visavis the new art museum.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful entrance, marble flooring, grand staircase The room was a superior large double. Wooden flooring with rug and settee. Separate toilet. Large bathroom with 2 separate basins. Bath with shower. Antique furniture. Breakfast area large with piano. Coffee machine. Cold meats, cheeses, selection of jams and bread and pastries. Soft boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, scrambled egg. Selection of cereals and juices TV in room with English speaking channels. I love this hotel. Historic meets modern. Shops all around with loads of restaurants. Even an axe throwing place thereby and the shaft that goes deep down to go into the tunnel that connects the opposite banks Right near the river. Very quiet. Just a handful of people seen at breakfast time and always after 9am. Otherwise didn’t see anyone. Staff very polite and everyone. everywhere speaks English. The trams and trains are so easy to use and plentiful. Loads of diamond shops near Central Station and loads of underground car parks People are very friendly
Cons: Nothing Everything excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. It was a bit expensive, but the quality, the taste and the location were ideal. We would recommend T Sandt to anyone staying in Antwerp.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room is comfortable and modern equipment. Location is good for city walking. Breakfast is very good.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The location is good, and the building had some charm but that’s about it. The owner has completely missed the boat on making it a genuinely charming quality establishment. Such a shame.
Cons: Avoid this place at all cost. Personnel is below par and doesn’t try in any way to please. This hotel is seriously overpriced and its rooms are dated and not very pleasant. What was supposed to be a romantic stay, turned out to be a night in your grandmother’s 1950s bedroom, complete with old linen, terrible lighting, en suite bathroom akin to a 70s youth hostel and tattered 2nd hand furniture. Little or no amenities and a 1 euro plastic blue nightlight to really show you they don’t waste good money on trying to create atmosphere. I’ve seen more atmosphere in an elementary school dining hall. Breakfast was a joke. No personnel, basic continental offering in a room devoid of all taste, which is something the old building does not deserve. Guests are left to their devices and generally ignored. Cleaning staff is super loud and hell bent on making sure everyone is up and out of their room before 9 am and can then trip over their vacuum left in the hall until noon. I was certainly not convinced the room was very clean. All of that and 20 euro surcharge for parking in such an overpriced hotel: never again. Can definitely find a more pleasant stay for half that price.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, good food
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location for old Antwerp city. Comfortable bar and lounge area. Clean contemporary rooms and efficient friendly staff. Breakfast was included which was a bonus.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nicely decorated property in ideal city centre location with friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Room 301 the separation between bathroom and room is not ideal, and the bathroom could do with some more amenities and bathrobes

Cons: About a 20-30 minute walk to most of the areas you might visit, although a tram stop is near.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was really comfortable
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great kitchen! All quite new and plenty of space. Loved the games box to keep us busy as it rained. Nice quiet area too.
Cons: A bit far from main town centre but not a bad walk when it isn’t raining
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really good value for money if you consider how expensive most places are in Antwerp. The breakfast is quite reasonable and the beds are clean. It is simple but it is a good stay
Cons: It was not the most accessible hostel from the center but this I already knew beforehand
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great, helpful and understanding staff, good breakfast.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Close to business meetings I had; owner did help me carry my bags up and down the stairs
Cons: Very difficult staircases high up, sunk in bathtub that was very difficult to get into, steps up to bathtub without handrail, hairs in bathtub, towels old and worn out, no fresly brewed coffee for breakfast (guests are supposed to make their own with the machine provided), many spot lights not working, no make up mirror, no shampoo, no conditioner, no body lotion (just 3x hair&bodywash), pool not available, for sauna one needs to make prior reservation (but how can one know that if one hasn’t been there before), breakfast served in room but quality of food very low, everything quite dated
7.1 Good
Pros: Apprently we were satisfied with staying here. But we would not come back. Impressive bath system, braod main bed and tidy kitchen were there.
Cons: however second bed wasn’s good and breakfast was not good enough. A man delivered a heavy tray to 3rd floor. That was colourful but lukewarm, unfresh bread, no fruit with some mini tomatos. I have to give 7 star
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host were very friendly and helpful. They provided us a lot of information about Antwerp and provided a map with pointing out some places to visit. We asked for the availability of the poll in the morning and it was provided the same day. The breakfast was huge and delicious and the variation of the different food was enough for the days we stayed. The room was clean and big and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely come back.
Cons: Nothing to mention.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly host that made us feel right at home. The room/appartment was clean and comfortable with a nice bathtub.
7.1 Good
Cons: There is a disco studio downstairs and although we were told that we won't hear any noise being on the 2nd floor it was not possible to sleep until 2am in the morning.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Right by the station so perfect if you're travelling by train. We could even see the beautiful station outside our window. About a 20 minute walk into the centre but it's a great walk and allows you to see more of the city. The room was amazing, better than we expected - we wish our room at home looked as nice! Great rainfall shower and we were given slippers and a dressing gown! Staff were helpful and friendly. We were given 2-4-1 on our first drink at the bar which was an added bonus! Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: Nothing!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, nicely decorated rooms and great breakfast
Cons: Rooms were very warm and stuffy, we could not fix this by opening a window or by using the thermometer. Restaurant also very warm. We’ve heard more guests complain about this and the staff state they cannot fix this because of AC settings not being suited for spring/fall weather
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything except the temperature in the room
Cons: A little cold in the room. The vwnt system is not working properly all
7.0 Good
Pros: Very comfortable room -if a little small for the bed size -and so central for the station, which was perfect.
Cons: There was a lot of noise during the night, which was not the fault of the hotel, just it’s position.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: In a Saturday night, it was very noisy in the room. Only problem.
7.5 Good
Pros: everything perfect!
Cons: Cold, poor shower!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cool boutique hotel vibe! Awesome bar downstairs and a cool lobby area. The room was also decorated very well and had a chic vibe to it. Location here is prime as well! Just across from the train station.

7.7 Good
Pros: Really good location close to to the central station and city center. Friendly staff and comfortable bed.
Cons: I didn't like the view from the room. It's next to some offices.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the location nearby the citycenter. Easy to get by car or train. the breakfast and the loungebar at the entrance.
Cons: the checkin took more than a quarter of an hour.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place, nice atmosphere, staff was very sincere and obliging. A lot of space to walk around and great sauna with the gym.
Cons: Not enough choices of food, wish it would be any choices of vegetarian dishes. And rice would be just the rice (or at least explanation next to the name what's it includes). Pillows were too soft. And the sheet to thick. Was waking up all night because it was too warm under, and too cold without. Under the bed table in the room was cleaned ages ago. There was no shower gel, everything else was great.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff in this hotel is really helpful and kind. You really feel welcome and well treated.
Cons: The hotel itself is not maintained properly. The shower drain was not taking water so the shower was flooding the bathroom. The ventilation in the bathroom was not working. The heating controls did not work. Well, ON/OFF worked but the temperature termostat did not have any effect on the heating. Far from a pleasent experience. Real let down since the people are so nice.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Did not eat the breakfast.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb location in historical Antwerp, everything within walking distance. Charming houses built against the magnificent St Jacobs (St James) church. You're basically sleeping next to Rubens.
Cons: It's not cheap and the furniture is pretty basic. In a unique location like this, you'd expect a bit more, maybe some historical information about Antwerp or at least St James, not just the standard info on where to eat or drink.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great Location! Unique setting, Tiny house against the church walls. Flexible staff.
Cons: Nothing really
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a lovely one bedroom house all to yourself. Comfortable bed, coffee machine, good shower, quiet location but super centrally located. The old church walls are the interior walls for much of the property, providing quirky architecture and loads of charm. Would stay again.
Cons: I would have preferred a sofa in the living room rather than two seats. This is nitpicking though, it's a great guesthouse.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very individual property of lovely historic character. Very comfortable and good facilities.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The stair up to the bedroom is pretty steep.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Cosy apartment / BnB from the 16th century, next to an old church. Lots of original structure is visible. Loveed the secluded courtyard, which meant it was very quiet during nights. Friendly staff and great location.
Cons: Not an issue for us, but: apartments is a duplex with very steep stairs - you definitely want to hold the handrails. If you/re not Belgian or Dutch, you may find them challenging. This place therefore may not be suitable for seniors or if you have lots of heavy luggage.

Pros: Great host very friendly and helpful!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming and friendly. I'm a very anxious person and usually like to be left alone, so breakfast was always a high stress time. But they made it feel easy. Getting in and out of the property was simple. Provided a fridge with drinks for small charge, great when you're thirsty in the middle of the night. Bathroom was large.
Cons: Not the fault of the people, I just chose the week of a heatwave to travel! But they provided a fan and kept curtains closed to keep room as cool as possible

Pros: Location of the hotel was good for viewing and visiting the local attractions. Parking at the hotel was extremely convenient with the car park located under the hotel.
Cons: The room, although large, appeared to be tired and required updating and modernisation. We had to move rooms due to the lack of air conditioning - the first room being overwhelmingly hot.
