Hotel Sasone

Great location and value for money. Most of the staff were friendly and able to help give advice/directions for metro to spa.

Breakfast was disappointing and room very close to reception area so could hear talking a lot. Double bed was two single beds pushed together and only one pillow each.

Fantastic location, and it wasn't noisy, despite being on a busy street corner, near a bar. It was a safe location - perfect for a solo female traveller and within walking distance of all the sights and good restaurants. Breakfast is pretty good: a selection of yoghurt, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, various breads and pastries, cold cuts, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, a coffee machine, juices etc. The reception is 24 hours and they are always there to open the main door for you. From my room, I had the perfect view of the Budapest Eye and it's just a stone's throw from Deák Ferenc square where all the walking tours start.

There was no safe in my room - would have been nice to have offloaded all my valuables in the safe. It would have certainly given me more peace of mind, not having to carry all my Euros and passport while sightseeing - hope the management can install safes in the rooms. Another thing that could be improved is perhaps having a small bar fridge in the room.

The experience went smoothly and as expected. Was great value for money, great location and breakfast was good. Room was modern, clean and a good size and hotel was light, airy and warm. Our room looked out onto an 'inner courtyard' which was grey and dismal and basically looked out onto other rooms/apartments (not sure what they were) but quite frankly with the net down and for the amount of time we were in the room I personally wouldn't pay for for view of the wheel. Hotel was very quiet and they kept our luggage in reception as we had an evening flight. Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend!

I requested a double bed on booking and was told they would try to provide one but was given two singles pushed together with a wooden frame in the middle- not the end of the world but some may not be happy with that. Tea/ coffee facilities in the room would have been a nice touch- after a long day sightseeing it's nice not having to go out again if you want a drink.
