The female sales associate that served me when I picked up my car was excellent. A definite asset to your agency/company. I picked up my car at 9:30 pm on 4.16. She brought my car to the terminal from the lot and then took the time to sit with me in the car to explain how the GPS system connected to my car and various other features of the car, SHE WENT THE EXTRA MILE IN DOING HER JOB!! THANK YOU!!! I thought I was renting a RAV4, instead I was given a VW Atlas. Sad to say, I did not think to request a non-smoking vehicle. I have coronary artery disease and after I was a few miles from the airport, I realized that someone who previously rented this vehicle, smoked in the car. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. Apart from the vehicle not being smoke free and really not clean. The rental experience was good only because of your female associate who served me.Reviewed 24 Apr 2026

The Pick-Up was an extremely poor experience. From the moment we got to the terminal and the woman outside demanded that only renters are allowed inside. Anyone else had to wait outside with the baggage. I waited in line for one hour, because there was only one agent working the Budget window. Eventually, a couple of other agents came out to help, but that was over 40 minutes into still waiting in line. The thing that really set me off was one agent, an older, white gentleman, after he came back from his break, made a joke “now helping #477“ Everyone in line looked at each other with bewilderment and I finally said something out loud, “we’ve been waiting in line for 45 minutes and you’re making jokes?“ It was completely inappropriate. You would think that on a Saturday afternoon in Maui, Budget would have staffed more appropriately for the level of business they were experiencing. I’m going to guess it’s this busy every Saturday at that time.Reviewed 24 Apr 2026

There were 4 people ahead of me when I went to pick up the rental car and only 2 agents. While I was waiting in line, about another dozen clients walked in - I would not have been happy to be the last person in that line. It probably took me 30 minutes to get the car. (2 interruptions by customers who were having issues with the cars they just rented) The agents were friendly and professional, the car suited my needs and I had no issues with it beyond connecting it to my iPhone for the navigation tool. The car was excellent and the employee was working so hard but it took a full hour and a half (90+ minutes) of standing in line to pick up the car because there was only one person working the rental desk (at noon!). It was the longest rental car line I've ever experienced and it delayed the rest of the trip. I wish there had been more employees working.Reviewed 24 Apr 2026

Nice car, easy experience but they tried to add a $30 junk fee that I had to wait in two different lines to get removed. It’s happened multiple times to me where rental companies add junk fees on top of the agreed upon price without telling the customer just to see if they can get away with it which is unethical.Reviewed 24 Apr 2026
