The first rental they were sold out of cars and were supposed call me in the morning when one came in. They did not call. The second rental no one was at the desk or in the lot at DFW. So I ended up renting from another agency.Reviewed 22 Feb 2024

Pros:Car was nice! Which I suppose is the most important part. Clean, odor-free, got a size upgrade, which as a 6’3” man I appreciated. Drop-off was easy and the employee at the Jackson location couldn’t have been nicer.Cons:It literally took longer for me to pick up my car in Memphis than my incoming flight from Atlanta took. It was well over an hour before keys were placed in my hands due to a slow moving line at the pickup counter (my representative was lovely, but had to constantly stop service to assist the other representative. Lovely gesture, slowed down service), and then once I got upstairs to the pickup counter, the crew in the garage could not have been any less helpful. My car was ready, but I had to wait another 30-45 minutes in the line just to be talked to to simply pick up my keys. I hate being that sort of Karen, but there is a line where the service becomes so terrible I can’t keep it to myself. Especially after having to travel last second for a family emergency, this lack of service and consideration for my time and business will keep me from booking Budget in the future unless it’s the only option available, especially at Memphis.Reviewed 7 Apr 2021

Cons:Do not rent with Budget. They ruined our trip. They did not have the size car that we reserved. They did not call us to say they did not have it. We were uncomfortable in the car they gave us.Reviewed 29 Dec 2019

Pros:NothingCons:Closed an hour early left me with no vehicle. The following morning stated they have no cars including the one i reserved anywhere in Memphis and that was it. No help to get a different vehicle. I ending up getting the same class vehicle for about the same price on the same day via Alamo. My company will never use Budget again.Reviewed 25 Oct 2019

Pros:Each budget location is franchised and their computer systems do not connect. Memphis gave me a wrong reservation number on the paperwork and Chicago could not find my reservation so they did not want to let me return the car. They told me it was up to me to get the correct information fromMemphis.Cons:It has been 3 days since I left the car at budget and they still did not close the reservation because they said Chicago's computer is not able to access information from Memphis.Reviewed 10 Jun 2019

Pros:Staff were friendly at pickup and drop off. I rented a compact but got a brand new 2019 suv.Cons:Location in Mem was a long walk, taking us awhile to find the rental desk. There was a small pile of trash and a dip cup in the back of the car. We got a suv that didn't have a full tank and got 23 Mpg instead of a compact @40mpg causing three fuel stops when only one should have been necessary.Reviewed 25 Mar 2019
